Matt Hardy: Mike Santana Likely Headed to WWE as TNA Contract Nears Expiration
On his podcast, Matt Hardy said he wouldn’t be surprised if TNA star Mike Santana ultimately lands in WWE, noting that many young wrestlers aim for a WrestleMania moment. Santana’s TNA contract reportedly expires in July, and Wrestling Observer/WrestleVotes coverage indicates WWE interest; the report suggests WWE views Santana as professional with strong in-ring work and would like him on the main roster before the end of 2026.
Hardy also addressed the scheduling clash on June 28, when AEW Forbidden Door, TNA Slammiversary and NXT Great American Bash all fall on the same night. He praised TNA’s decision to move its start time to 4 p.m., calling it the right move and noting it will be a remarkable night with three premium live events.
