Matt Hardy: Moving Slammiversary to 4 PM was the “right move” as June 28 features three major events
TNA star Matt Hardy said on his podcast that TNA’s decision to push Slammiversary up to a 4 p.m. ET start — instead of the originally announced 7 p.m. slot — was the “right move” after AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door announced a 7 p.m. kickoff. Hardy noted the unusual scheduling that will see TNA Slammiversary, Forbidden Door and NXT Great American Bash all taking place on Sunday, June 28.
NXT’s Great American Bash will air at 7 p.m. ET on The CW, setting the scene for a rare night with three premium events competing for viewers. Hardy called it “what a night,” and analysts and fans alike will be watching ratings closely to see how the three shows fare head-to-head.
