The trios sort out and Nick starts against Blake. The fans rally up as Nick offers a handshake, but Blake flips Nick off! Blake kicks and CLUBS Nick, the fans boo, but Blake BODY SHOTS! Blake whips, Matt tags in, and Nick shoves Blake into a shoulder thrust! Then Matt gives Nick the boost to DROPKICK Blake! Lee runs up, but into the GUT BSUTER to NECKBERAKER BACKBREAKER COMBO! Lethal fires hands, but Jack jumps in to RANA! Then he LARIATS Lethal and himself up and out! Jack lands on his feet to high-five fans, and The Bucks LARIAT The Swirl! And LARIT again! The fans cheer The Elite as they regroup and bring Blake up. Matt reels Blake in, lifts, and we get a BUCKLE BOMB DOUBLE ENZIGIRI COMBO! Tag to Jack while Blake bails out, and the fans rally up. Jack builds speed to DIVE! Direct hit on Lee instead of Blake, but Jack keeps moving, and he DIVES onto Blake! The fans fire up but Lethal runs up! Jack ducks a shot, HOTSHOTS Lethal, then aims to ASAI- NO, Blake dodges the moonsault to SUPERKICK! But then Matt WRECKS Blake with a dropkick! He holds the way open for Nick to FLY! Fosbury Flop gets two for one and the fans fire up again! Nick high-fives fans while Matt drags Blake in.

Matt whips Blake to a corner, then runs up to ROCK him! Jack adds a LARIAT! Nick adds a SHINING WIZARD! Then GAMANGIRI! Then forearm and feed, double hip toss for the TU LO SABE! Lethal DIVES onto Matt, Blake 619s Jack! Lee DROPKICKS, Blake ASAI MOONSAULTS, and the Twist stands tall while Collision goes picture in picture.

Blake brings Jack up, bumps him off buckles, then tags Lee. The Swirl mugs Jack, then stomps away. Jack CHOPS Lee, CHOPS again, but Lethal CLAWS Jack’s face! Lee mugs Jack, the ref reprimands, and Blake is picking up all those Buck bucks? Oh, he makes it rain on Jack while Lethal CHOKES him! Lethal steps off as the ref counts, then bumps Jack off buckles. Jack takes a dizzy swing but there’s not much behind it. Lethal bumps Jack off more buckles, but Jack manages to CHOP! Lethal bumps Jack off buckles again, and again! Jack falls back, but Lethal drags him over. Tag to Blake and he stomps Jack in the stomach.

The Bucks coach Jack but Blake has a cravat. Blake snapmares, then taunts The Bucks while he fishhooks Jack. The ref reprimands, Blake stops, and Blake drags Jack around to step on the legs. Blake  taunts Jack, grabs at the arms, and he mockingly holds it out to The Bucks. Jack STOMPS the legs, then tags Lee. The Swirl stomps Jack more, then Lee stalks Jack to ropes. Lee tags Lethal, Collision returns to single picture, and the fans rally up for Jack. The Twist mugs Jack, then tag to Blake. But Jack kicks back! The Swirl double whip, Jack sends Lee away, but Blake blocks a kick. Blake hands it off to Lethal before he ENZIGIRIS, then Lee CHOP BLOCKS the other leg!

Jack is down but Lethal steps through! The Swirl BLASTS The Bucks while Lethal puts on the FIGURE FOUR! The fans “WOO~,” but then boo as The Swirl stand on Jack while mocking The Bucks’ signature pose. The ref reprimands so Blake & Lee go back to the corner. Jack endures, reaches out, ROPEBREAK! Lethal lets go to bring Jack up and around. Lethal KICKS Jack’s leg out! Then The Twist struts while the fans “WOO~!” Lethal runs up but Jack BOOTS him, ELBOWS the Swirl, then dodges Lethal! Jack fires more shots, goes up the corner, and he FLYING RANAS Lee to the floor! The fans fire up for that wild gamble!

Jack hurries in, but Lethal CLOBBERS him! Lethal HAMMERS Jack, whips him to ropes, but the COMEBACKER finds him! The fans fire up as Jack and Lethal crawl, hot tags to Matt and Blake! Matt rallies on The Twist with haymakers! Blake kicks low, he and Lee whip, but Matt ducks ‘n’ dodges to DOUBLE LARIAT! The fans fire up with Matt and he brings Blake up. Matt puts Blake in the corner, CLUBS him, but Lee waistlocks. Matt switches, Lee switches back, but Matt backs Lee up into Nick’s ENZIGIRI! Matt NORTHERN LIGHTS Lee, Nick DOUBLE STOMPS Lee to then somersault and BACKSTABBER Blake!

Matt gets up, NORTHERN LIGHTS! The Polar Express starts up, and the last stop is a NORTHERN LIGHTS into Blake! The fans fire up, then Nick PENALTY KICKS Lethal from the apron! Matt puts Blake on the ropes, Nick leaps, DOUBLE STOMP for the MMM BOP DROP! Cover, Lethal breaks it! Nick knuckle locks Lethal, CHOPS, then hurdles Lee! SUPERKICK on Lee, then “LUCHA LIBRE~!” ARM-DRAG FLYING RANA COMBO! The fans fire up as Nick hurries to a corner, Matt takes the other, and they aim at The Swirl! Only for The Swirl to trip them up! The Bucks change plans, and they STEREO SUNSET FLIP POWERBOMB! Then they both step through, turn over, and DOUBLE SHARPSHOOTERS! The fans fire up, but Lethal hurries in! Jack trips Lethal into a SNARE TRAP!! The fans fire up a The Lethal Twist all endure! They fight around, Blake finds the ROPEBREAK! That saves the whole team, but Jack says they were so close. The Elite regroups, Matt tags Jack. Lethal steps up and he fires forearms with Jack! The fans fire up as Jack gets the edge! Lethal KNEES low, whips, but the COME- NO, Lethal blocks the lariat into the LETHAL COMBINATION! Then he calls his shot!

Lethal handsprings, but Matt catches him! Lethal BOOTS Nick, switches with Matt, but Matt helps Nick go up and over! Nick waistlocks Lethal, Matt runs, SUNSET FLIP GERMAN SUPLEX! Backstage interview with Mina Shirakawa, Kris Statlander, and Harley Cameron.

Lexy Nair reminds everyone that the No Physicality Agreement is in effect, because the Fighting Gravure Idol and Cosmic Killer will be facing off in a Survival of the Fittest Qualifier in mere moments. The real question is, are they all still friends? Mina says she’s always respected Kris. But when it comes to Shida, Mina can finally say, “I told you so!” Kris says no one likes being told that, but Mina says that’s fine, because she’ll tell Kris something else. Kris has been TBS Champion before, but Mina has never held an AEW title. Tonight, Mina will fight for her shot! Good, because so will Kris! Just like last time, where she beat Mina.

Kris knows Mina needs this, but Kris was made for this. Harley steps in and says she’ll be on commentary, she wants a good clean fight, and may the best woman win. Also, Harley has her qualifying match next week, so she promises to be in the ring with one of them. Now, shake. They shake hands, Harley thought it was gonna be something else… But in the end, there is going to be respect, but who is going to be the winner?

Backstage interview with Hikaru Shida.

Collision returns as Lexy is now with the Shining Samurai, and she congratulates Shida on winning her spot in the Survival of the Fittest. Will she be watching the match between Kris and Mina tonight? Shida uses her kendo stick like a mic as she says she is already in the match, but all those girls who tried to embarrass her have to face each other just to get in. Shida laughs, and says no one who qualifies tonight will not survive. The only one who will is Shida! And after Survival of the Fittest, TBS will stand for “The Best is SHIDA!” Shida is ready to fight everyone for what she wants, but will that only make it that much harder to win?

AEW TBS Championship Survival of the Fittest Qualifier: Kris Statlander VS Mina Shirakawa!

Harley indeed joins commentary and admits she isn’t really on either side, she’s just excited to see the action. The bell rings and the fans rally up. Mina and Kris circle, tie up, and Mina headlocks. Kris powers up but can’t power out as Mina holds on tight. Kris fights up, lifts, but Mina hits a flying takeover! The fans rally, Kris shifts to a cover, ONE! Mina holds on but Kris fires body shots. Kris powers up and out this time, but then Mina drops down onto Kris for a headlock. Kris fights up, powers up and out again, and Mina hits buckles. Kris CHOPS Mina, then runs up to UPPERCUT! Kris runs side to side but Mina follows to UPPERCUT!

Mina headlocks and BULLDOGS! Mina shimmies and shakes and the fans cheer her on. Kris goes to a corner, Mina whips corner to corner, but Kris reverses. Kris runs up but Mina slips outside! Kris hits buckles, Mina blocks a shot to HOTSHOT Kris down! Mina then slingshots for the TORNILLO! Cover, TWO! Kris goes to the outside but the fans cheer Mina on. Mina rallies the fans while Kris drags herself up to the apron. Mina climbs a corner, but Kris SMACKS her first! Kris ROCKS Mina again, then scoops her off the corner for an APRON FACEBUSTER! Mina sputters, Kris shoves her in, and Collision goes picture in picture.

Kris follows Mina and covers, TWO! Mina toughs it out but Kris stays cool. Kris drags Mina up to suplex. Kris holds Mina up for a count of TEN, then TWENTY, then THIRTY! THIRTY-SIX before the SLAM! The fans cheer, Kris gives a shimmy and a flex, then a thank you. Cover, TWO!! Mina survives vertigo but Kris hauls her up. Kris scoops to SLAM Mina, then clamps on with a chinlock. Mina endures, but Kris thrashes her around! Mina fights around but Collision goes to break.

Collision returns as Mina shakes out the stars. Both women are down on the outside, but the drag themselves inside. The fans rally up as Kris hurries after Mina, whips her, and scoops her! But Mina makes it LA MYSTICA! The fans fire up as Mina ROLLING ELBOWS Kris in the back! Then she hoists Kris up, and DRAPING DDT! The fans cheer and Mina covers, TWO! That strike like a Viper wasn’t enough, and Harley says this is very exciting! Mina drags Kris up but Kris shoves her back. Kris CHOPS, Mina fires fast hands and a SOBAT! Mina runs but into a BOOT! Mina rebounds to ROLLING ELBOW! Kris rebounds to DISCUS LARIAT!

The fans fire up with Kris, and she runs up again, but Mina DUMPS her out! Mina then goes outside and up the corner! The fans fire up for the SUPER CROSSBODY! Down goes Kris as Harley says big risk, big reward! Mina puts Kris back in, then climbs the corner again! MISSILE DROPKICK on Kris! Mina hurries to cover, TWO! Kris survives and Mina grows frustrated. Harley says that was so close. Mina dragon sleepers Kris and cranks the hold, but Kris powers through !Kris scoops Mina, but Mina slips free! The fans are thunderous and Harley says this is edge of your seat stuff, boys! Kris drags Mina up, gut wrenches, and tucks her in! The fans duel as Mina drops down! Victory roll, TWO! Kris stands, Mina URAKENS! Then dragon sleeper, but Kris drops! Victory roll in return< TWO! Mina runs up, but into a scoop! Mina slips free again, ducks ‘n’ dodges, then tilt-o-whirls, LA MYSTICA again! She tries to roll Kris, Kris rolls Mina! KRIS WINS!

Team SkyFlight talks backstage.

Christopher Daniels is with Darius, Dante, and the returning Scorpio Sky as he says since starting SkyFlight, it has been all about facing the best competition they could. Sometimes it is trios, sometimes it’s tags, but tonight, it’s 1v1 for Dante with one of the best in the world, Mistico! Is he ready? Dante is ready! That’s not the only good news he’s got. Not just for them but for AEW as a whole! One of Daniels’ friends, one of his best tag team partners ever, is coming back from injury. Give a big welcome to Matt Sydal! Sydal joins in and they shake hands. Daniels says whatever Sydal wants to do in AEW, SkyFlight has his back!

Sydal says he must admit, this was the hardest road to recovery in his life. But knowing they all had his back, he knows he’ll take this to higher heights then ever before! SkyFlight has another member in the air force, will this be the start of their takeover?

Nigel McGuinness is in the ring.

Collision returns as Nigel is honored to introduce one of the most intense and violent men to step into an AEW ring, the former TNT Champion, the Psycho Killer, Tommaso Ciampa! The fans cheer as indeed, the Sicilian Psycho makes his entrance. Nigel then introduces the man Ciampa has in his crosshairs, the nine-time world champion, the inaugural AEW World Champion, and the iconic, influential CHRIS JERICHO! The fans cheer again as now Y2J makes his entrance. Ciampa paces as the fans sing along with Judas, then sits up on a corner while he waits. Jericho gets pyro before he steps into the ring.

The fans finish singing Judas, and Nigel says Ciampa wanted a serious Jericho, and from what it looks like, that’s what we’ve got. And to quote Ciampa, the ball is now in Jericho’s court. Jericho takes the mic to tell Ciampa that last week, Ciampa wanted the more serious version of Jericho, only if you were worthy. Does Ciampa wanna know if Jericho thinks he is worthy? The answer is… He is. Jericho knows Ciampa wouldn’t have gotten this far in this business if he wasn’t worthy. But check this out, Jericho knows how good Ciampa is, and has been waiting to face Ciampa ever since Jericho came to AEW.

Jericho also knows how smart Ciampa is, too. But can Ciampa say the same about Jericho? Ciampa can list all of Jericho’s accolades, all his credentials, all the history he’s made and been part of in wrestling, but Ciampa still thinks he can dictate to Jericho which version of Jericho he gets? The answer is it doesn’t matter. Because each and every version of Jericho is gonna kick Ciampa’s ass! The fans cheer that! Ciampa takes the mic from Jericho and says there he is! THIS is the Chris Jericho that Ciampa wanted from the beginning. Ciampa VS Jericho is something Ciampa’s wanted for a very long time, and he has an idea.

July 8th, Clearwater, Florida, just 10 minutes away from Jericho’s adopted home, and Ciampa wants Jericho to invite his friends and family, sit them in the front row, because on Beach Break, we find out one of two things. Either Jericho is exactly who he says he is, or the entire world finds out that Ciampa is indeed better than Jericho. Jericho takes the mic back and tells Ciampa, “You wanna wrestle me in Clearwater at Beach Break? Alright, alright, the answer is yes. In Clearwater on July 8th, we wrestle. But tonight, here in Houston, excuse me, Nigel… WE FIGHT!” The hands start flying and the fans fire up!

Jericho trips Ciampa, Ciampa scrambles, and Ciampa slips free! But Jericho pursues! Ciampa tries to get into the crowd but Jericho brings him back over the barriers! LOW BLOW MULE KICK! Ciampa suckered Jericho in on that one, and he THROWS Jericho into railing! And then into the steel steps! Ciampa rips off his own shirt, then he DRIBBLES Jericho off the steps! Ciampa is furious, then he flexes as he soaks up the heat. The fans boo but Ciampa grins as he stalks Jericho. Ciampa has the cameraman get a good look of a bloody wound! Ciampa HAMMERS away on the forehead, BITES at the wound, then stops to tell Jericho, “You think this is a game?!”

Ciampa says Jericho bit off more than he can chew! Ciampa puts Jericho in the ring, brings his kneepad down, and he runs up for a BARE BONE PSYCHO KNEE!! Jericho is down, Jericho gives him a kiss on the cheek, and he tells Jericho that July 8th, the world finds out what Ciampa’s always known! But will Ciampa be the one to find out you don’t make Jericho bleed his own blood and get away with it?

The Talisman is coming off an 8 Man Tag win for ROH Global Wars, and now he’s bringing THREE titles (CMLL World Light Heavyweight, CMLL World Trios, and IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championships) to Collision! But will all that gold weigh him down against Angel Dorado? Or will he be able to ground Dante here in Houston?

The bell rings and Mistico circles with Dante. Mistico and Dante shake hands, the fans cheer, and they circle again. They tie up, fight for control, and Dante headlocks. Mistico breaks free and headlocks back. Mistico gives a noogie but Dante grabs a cording hold. Mistico flips through, but Dante just shifts the grip on his cording hold. You probably forgot how! The bell rings, the two circle, and Alexander draws the proverbial line in the sand. Pac is amused, and the two tie up. Moxley is on commentary and he plugs Forbidden Door, his match with Bandido over the AEW Continental Championship. Meanwhile, Pac wants after Alexander, only for the ref to stop him. This lets Marina BOOT Alexander just because! The fans are torn as The Problem continues to influence things. She claims she is just making sure Alexander is okay. Pac puts Alexander in, then winds up to SOBAT! And KICK! And SOBAT again! Pac runs, BOOTS Alexander down, then takes his time stalking Alexander. Alexander goes to a corner, Pac backs up, and Pac runs in so he can BOOT Alexander! Pac snapmares Alexander, then climbs up.

The fans rally as Pac aims, and he MISSILE DROPKICKS! Pac kips up, the fans fire up, and Pac gets moving! Pac builds up speed to LARIAT FROM HELL! Then BRUTALIZER!! Alexander QUITS, Pac wins!

The fans cheer while Priest drops back, and ZSJ says that’s just a little bit of tekkers for ya! The two feel things out, Priest headlocks, but ZSJ puts him on the ropes. The ref counts, ZSJ pie faces as he lets off. The fans are torn but ZSJ pie faces again. And again! Priest CHOPS and ZSJ felt that one! Priest reels ZSJ in for an UPPERCUT! Priest talks trash, then snap suplexes! Cover, TWO! Priest clamps onto an arm, ZSJ chinbars, but Priest wrenches to lift. ZSJ fights the back suplex to PELE the arm! Priest flops out of the ring, ZSJ soaks up the cheers and jeers, then ZSJ waits on Priest. Priest rolls in, but ZSJ grabs a leg! Priest scrambles away to the corner while ZSJ brushes himself off. ZSJ UPPERCUTS Priest again, Priest falls, and Collision goes to break.

Collision returns as ZSJ whips Priest corner to corner, but Priest comes back, and he LARIATS ZSJ inside-out! Both men are down and the fans rally up! The standing count begins, both men crawl to corners, and they stand up. Priest runs up, he blocks a boot, then CLUBS the leg, CHOPS ZSJ, then UPPERCUTS the leg! ZSJ flops against the ropes but Priest is fired up! The fans rally, Priest brings ZSJ up, but ZSJ steps over and UPPERCUTS! Priest ROCKS ZSJ! ZSJ UPPERCUTS back! So please, go to CMLL and find whatever poor, ignorant luchadora who doesn’t know what they’re about to encounter, and Rosa will regret ever thinking this was a good idea. 2026 Women’s Owen Hart Memorial Tournament Semifinal: Athena VS Maya World!

The Fallen Goddess and #ThatGirl have a long history, from starting here in Houston as teacher and student, to feuding over the ROH Women’s World Championship, and now to fighting for a spot in the Owen Hart Cup Finals. Athena may have taught Maya everything she knows, but not everything Athena knows. Will that make all the difference here tonight? Or will Maya not only surpass her mentor, but be one step away from the crown?

The bell rings and the two tie up. They go around, Athena puts Maya in a corner, but the ref counts. Athena stomps Maya down, then taunts Maya with the “Whatever” W. Maya stands up, slips around, and waistlocks. Athena fights the lift, wrenches to a headlock, and the fans duel. Maya powers up and out, Athena wheelbarrows to body scissor throw! Athena then whips Maya, but Maya CLBOBERS Athena! The fans fire up as Maya flexes, and things speed up. Maya cartwheels over the dropdown, RANAS, but Athena cartwheels through! Maya sweeps, covers, ONE as Athena bridges up. Athena trips Maya, covers, ONE as now Maya bridges up!

Maya handsprings over Athena, keeps moving, and she swings to crucifix takedown! ONE but Maya holds on to make it a rolling cradle! They roll and roll and roll, then cover, TWO! The fans cheer, and Maya stalks Athena to the apron. Maya drags Athena up, SLAPS her, but Athena hits back! The brawl goes back and forth, Maya waistlocks, but Athena runs to HOTSHOT Maya in the corner! But then Maya ROCKS Athena! Athena drops down, Maya fires up, and the fans cheer! Maya runs to CANNONBALL! But Athena rolls through!? And clinches, ATAXIA to the floor! The fans go nuts for that one while Collision goes picture in picture!

Athena stands tall with a sinister smile, and she brings Maya up to THROW her into barriers! Athena is having fun now as she toys with Maya, and she puts Maya in the ring. Athena stomps Maya around, bumps her off buckles, then throws hands! The ref counts, Athena tells him to leave her alone, then she snapmares Maya. Athena mocks the W again, then pushes Maya down for the STANDING MOONSAULT! Cover, TWO! Athena is amused now with Maya toughing it out. Athena hears the fans dueling, though, and that seems to annoy her more. Maya fires body shots, then she rolls Athena up, TWO! Maya then DROPKICKS Athena down!

Maya rises up, she goes for Athena, but Athena UPPERCUTS! Athena whips, Maya reverses, but Athean geos up, only for Maya to YANK her down! Athena hits buckles on the way, and Maya goes up now! But Athena trips Maya up! Athena CLUBS Maya into the Tree of Woe, then lines up a shot. Basement DROPKICK! Maya falls out of the Tree and Athena vows to end it! Athena goes up, Collision returns to single picture, but Maya springs up after Athean! SUPERPLEX! The fans fire up while Athena flounders away! Maya runs up to UPPERCUT! Maya keeps moving and she UPPERCUTS on the run! Cover, TWO!

The fans rally as Maya whips, but Athena reverses, only for Maya to RANA! The fans fire up as Maya victory rolls, then STOMP 182! Athena sputters but Maya hurries up a corner! Maya MOONSAULTS, then covers, TWO! The fans fire up while both women are down! They rise up, and Maya is after Athena at the ropes. Maya whips but Athena blocks by holding ropes. Maya ROCKS Athena, but Athena shoves her away! Athena rolls Maya up, TWO! Maya wrenches and lifts Athena, but Athena rolls through! Maya slips free, sunset flips, but Athena rolls through to high stack! TWO and deadlift for the SITOUT BOMB! Cover, TWO!!

The fans fire up as Maya survives! Athena snarls but the fans duel again. Athena drags Maya up, reels her in, Canadian Rack for the- NO, Maya slips free to CUTTER! Cover, TWO! Athena survives but the fans fire up as Maya goes to a corner. Maya runs, but Athena trips her up to roll back and tie up the legs! Athena gets the arms, SURFBOARD STOMP!! Cover, TWO!! Maya survives again and the fans cheer! Athena shouts at the fans to shut up! Athena goes up a corner, but Maya gets under the O-Face! Maya scoops Athena to FALL AWAY PLEX! Bridge, roll through, and deadlift for ANOTHER FALL AWAY PLEX! Another bridging cover, TWO!!

The fans are fired up again as Athena survives! Athena goes outside, Maya goes to the apron. Maya runs up, but Athena blocks the Penalty Kick! Athena YANKS Maya down, but Maya cartwheels through! Maya runs up but Athena handsprings to dodge the lariat! Athena SUPERKICKS but Maya blocks! Maya whips Athena hard into the barriers! The fans fire up as Maya goes up onto the barrier. But Athena follows her! They stand, and they brawl on the edge! Athena clinches, and BARRIER SIDE EFFECTS!! Both women are down but Maya certainly took the worst of it! Athena leaves Maya behind for the ring count.

The count reaches 5 of 10 before Maya sits up. Maya crawls her way over at 7, but is still down at 9! Athena YANKS Maya up, she won’t let Maya lose like that after all! Athena sits Maya up, then SLAPS her! Athena dares Maya to get up and fight! Athena pie faces Maya again and again, and tell her to fight for the people! Think about your brother! Athena pie faces Maya, and now Maya is pissed! Maya fires a flurry of forearms! The fans fire up as Maya HAMMERS Athena down! Athena gets away but Maya runs up! Athena dodges to GERMAN SUPLEX! Maya manages to stand, but Athena handsprings to ROCK her with the forearm!

Athena snapmares Maya, goes up the corner, and O-FACE!! Cover, TWO?!?! Athena is the most shocked of all, and the fans are thunderous for Maya! Athena argues with the ref but the count was fair. Athena drags Maya up, but Maya cradles her! TWO! SUPERKICK from Athena, then another SUPERKICK! Maya falls, Athena throws the hair extensions away, then tells Maya that she loves Maya, but this is her time! But then Maya snatches Athena to a roll-up with bridge!! MAYA WINS?!?!

Winner: Maya World, by pinfall (advances to the finals)

Athena is again the most shocked of all! She failed to get past the semifinals last year, and now she fails to do it again, all because she underestimated her prize pupil! Athena says screw it, and she hugs it out with Maya! The fans cheer as the Fallen Goddess shows respect to the one woman to pin her in AEW/ROH in literal years. But wait, Mercedes Mone makes her entrance! The CEO applauds Maya’s accomplishment, too, and wants to hug it out. They do hug, and the fans cheer this show of respect. Mone says it is going to be an honor to face her at Forbidden Door. But then Athena CLOBBERS Maya?!? And Mone laughs about it!!

The fans boo but it seems the former tag partners are in agreement! They beat down Maya to ruin her moment! Mone clamps on the STATEMENT MAKER, and this is certainly a statement being made! Maya taps but it doesn’t matter now, Mone holds on to make her suffer! Will nothing stop the Money Train from once again winning the Owen Hart Cup? Or will Maya prove that this is her world now?

My Thoughts:

A great episode for Collision, but with more tune-up and filler for fun than big builds for Forbidden Door. It feels like there should be a huge tag tournament rather than just random contenders stepping up, because we’re finally getting more teams back. Hurt Syndicate were obviously going to win their return match, and they can certainly find themselves right back in title contention on the way to All In or All Out. Great Six Man Tag from The Elite VS Lethal Twist, and great win for Jack & The Bucks. Jack calling out ZSJ for a match was a little surprising, but I did like him noting it was about respect for how ZSJ showed him respect in Japan.

ZSJ himself was of course winning tonight, but that was a great showing for Priest even in the loss. Good promo from Pac to call out Shota, then good win for him over big Jay Alexander. Good to see Scorpio and Sydal back, and if Sydal’s joining up with Sky Flight, they can certainly start going for midcard titles along with the tag and trios titles. Good promo from Ricochet to call out Konosuke, and they’ll have a very good International Championship match. But I would think Konosuke wins because he’s feuding with #Protokada over this title, and can set up his own match for All In. Very good promos from Rosa and Divine Dominion, but I would think Divine Dominion wins the title match.

Very good promo from Mina, Kris and Harley, and even a good promo from Shida on her own. Very good match from Mina VS Kris, and great win for Kris. Again, it’d make a lot of sense if it came down to Shida and Kris as the final two in Survival of the Fittest, because they could easily feud over the TBS Championship going towards All In and All Out. And then an awesome main event from Athena VS Maya. I did not expect Maya to win that, but it is so awesome that she did. I could just feel Athena turning on Maya, even though I’m sure the hug was genuine in the moment. Athena & Mone as a duo again would be a powerful addition to the Women’s Tag Division. Maybe they’ll be a Two Woman Power Trip after all, with Mone winning the Owen Hart Cup twice.
