Global Wars is now the Whole Fox’n Show, but the champ has two “guest stars” tonight. The Sight to See not only wants to be the Face of ROH TV, but he wants to stick it to the Problem Child who was his friend. Will Cincinnati be ready for Action? Will everything be fine, it’s fine? Or will Fox still box ’em up and send ’em back?

The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see who sets the tone!

The fans cheer Fox already but Action tells them to hush. The Code of Honor is not upheld by Action, he bails out of the ring as the bell rings. Action soaks up the heat from the fans while Lio and Fox step up. Lio wants to whisper something to Fox, so Fox listens. Whatever Lio says, Fox seems to agree to it. They go out and they flank Action! The fans cheer, Action wants them to hold on, and he slides into the ring. Lio rushes in, Action dodges, but Fox blocks a kick. Fox spins Action to waistlock, but Action switches. Lio helps Fox get free, then he CHOKES Action! But Action SHOVES Lio into Fox! Action kicks Lio, whips, but Lio reverses.

Lio dodges Action, then redirects. Fox shoves Action for Lio to BOOT! Fox ENZIGIRIS Action and Action tumbles out of the ring! The fans cheer, and Lio offers the handshake. Fox accepts, then goes for a cutter! Lio shoves free, tries a cutter, but Fox shoves back! Lio goes to the ropes, Fox runs up, but Lio hops to the side! Lio then sunset flips Fox, Fox rolls through, but Lio dodges! Cutters turn into DOUBLE NECKBREAKERS! The fans cheer, but then Action handsprings to DOUBLE STUNNER! The fans boo but action soaks it up. Action runs and he slides, but Fox dodges! Lio DIVES into Action! The fans fire up as Action hits railing!

Fox goes up, and he WALL WALK MOONSAULTS onto Lio! The fans are fired up all over again, and Fox drags Action up. Fox brings Action around, Action fires a body shot but Fox hits back. Fox whips, Action handsprings up to the ramp! But then so does Fox! The fans cheer the athleticism, and Fox dodges to SHOVE Action into the ring! Action HOTSHOTS Fox back, then springboards, but Fox avoids the 450! Action rolls through, kicks low, and DDTS on the ramp! The fans do applaud the savvy, and Action goes out to look under the ring. Action says no, that’s not it. He goes to the other side, and he pulls out… an umbrella, with Lio attached!

Lio says, “No! No!” They tug-o-war, so Action lets Lio have his umbrella. But it broke! The fans boo, Lio is upset, but Action kicks low! Action whips Lio hard into railing! Lio slumps down but Action grabs part of the umbrella. Action goes to throw it at Lio, but then he throws it away instead. The fans boo more as Action stomps away on Lio. Action drags Lio up and whips him into more railing! Lio slumps down again, Action soaks up the heat, and Action ROCKS Lio! Then CHOPS! But then Fox FLIES from the ramp! The fans fire up as Fox takes down Lio and Action! Fox puts Action in the ring, kicks him around, then whips him corner to corner.

Action reverses, Fox goes up and over, then rolls to the far side. Fox slides out, trips Action up, and the fans cheer the slingshot somersault! Fox has the facelock, but Action cradle counters! TWO, and Lio rolls Action! TWO and Fox rolls Lio! TWO and Action runs up! Lio dodges, runs up, but Action avoids the handspring kick! Fox is there, but Lio hits a STUNNER! Not quite Rush Hour, but then Action FLYING LARIATS! The fans boo Action but he rains down fists! Cover, TWO! Another cover, TWO! A third cover, TWO! Fox is back but Action KNEES low! Action CLUBS Fox, scoops him, and SLAMS him! The fans boo but Action somersaults and IMPLODER TORNILLOS! Cover, TWO!

Action is annoyed but Fox is tougher than that. Action runs up on Lio for a BODY BLOW! Then Action stomps a mudhole in, and he doesn’t have to stop! The ref still reprimands about the choking, but Action steps off. Lio manages to laugh through the pain, but Action goes to Fox. Action kicks Fox, CHOPS him, pie faces, and talks trash the whole time! Action gets up in Fox’s face, so Fox ROCKS Action! Fox ROCKS Action again and again and again, then whips to a corner! Fox runs up, A-LIST LARIATS, then he ELBOWS Lio away! Fox slips outside, skins the cat, then DROPKICKS Action! Fox rolls back to CUTTER Lio!

Fox avoids Action’s Penalty Kick to kip up and CUTTER! The fans fire up as Fox climbs, and he SWANTON BOMBS Action! Cover, Lio breaks it! The fans are torn, but Lio CLUBS Fox with crossface forearm after crossface forearm! The fans rally for Lio as he brings Fox up, reels him in, but Fox fights the lift. Fox CLUBS Lio, whips, but Lio springboards! Fox stops Rush Hour, but Lio slips under, bobs ‘n’ weaves, then fires fast hands! Lio ROCKS Fox, runs, but into a BOOT! Fox runs up to CAROUSEL DDT! And then a roll-through, for the ANARCHY! Cover, TWO! Lio survives and the fans fire up again!

But Action kicks Fox! “This is Awesome!” as Action ROCKS Fox, whips, only to slide under and pump handle! Fox slips free of that, shoves Action at Lio, but Lio dodges! Lio runs up, whips, Fox reverses, but Action bypasses him! Lio rolls to pick a leg and Fox SHINING WIZARDS Fox down! CRU still got it, even after their fallout! And now, Lio and Action stare down. The fans are all behind Lio for this one, but Action fires a forearm! Lio fires back, they go back and forth, and Action ROCKS Lio to MULE KICK, KNEE LIFT, and ROLLING ELBOW! Action reels Lio in, suplexes, but Lio slips free and whips! Action reverses, but into RUSH HOUR! Cover, TWO!

Action survives but Lio looks to the corner. Lio climbs up, but Fox hurries after him! But Lio BITES Fox’s face! Lio shoves Fox down, aims at Action, FINAL- NO, Action dodges! Action wrenches, hooks, and backslides, but Lio rolls through! Action KNEES, SUPERKICKS, and FALCON ARROWS! Cover, TWO!! Lio survives that string of attacks and Action seethes. Global Wars travels through time to last week in Arena Mexico as Everybody’s Favorite Pillar & Menacing Minotaur Esquire defended the gold against some real villains! But did Villano III Jr. y El Hijo del Villano III strike gold? Or did these titles stay ungovernable?

The introductions are made, they pose for the belt photo-op, and we see who holds the future in their hands!

Sammy tries to get cheers from the fans while he vlogs, but the fans boo instead. Los Villanos step up, and the fans cheer! The teams sort out and Sammy starts against El Hijo del Villano III, the younger brother. The bell rings, the two circle, and the two tie up. Hijo whips, Sammy rolls, and they RAM shoulders. Things keep moving, Sammy bypasses then drops down, but Hijo handsprings over. Hijo wags his finger at Sammy while the fans cheer. Sammy applauds, then runs up. Hijo drops down, Sammy flips over, and Sammy soaks up all the heat. Sammy goes back, ducks ‘n’ dodges, then RANAS, but Hijo handsprings through!

The fans cheer Hijo and he runs up again. Sammy slips around to waistlock, Hijo switches, then Hijo shoves Sammy to follow and RANA! But Sammy handsprings through! Sammy soaks up even more heat, then he runs up on Hijo. Hijo dodges, QUEBRADA, but Sammy slides under! Sammy trips Hijo, Hijo BOOTS Sammy away, and they both kip up! But then Mortos just HEADBUTTS Hijo! The fans cheer, and then Junior springboards to MISSILE DROPKICK Sammy! Lucha rules means Mortos and Junior are now legal! Junior whips, Mortos reverses, but Junior BOOTS Mortos while going to the apron.

Junior HEEL KICKS Mortos away, then springboards to CROSSBODY! The fans fire up as Junior gets moving, flips over Mortos’ back, then tilt-o-whirls to shove and hurdle! But Mortos POUNCES Junior on return! The fans boo as Mortos BLASTS Hijo and Sammy joins in. LFI soaks up the heat and high-five, then they mug Junior with a CHOP! The fans tell Sammy off but he wags his finger. Mortos smothers Junior, then brings Junior around to scoop and SLAM! Sammy climbs up, takes aim, and… hops down to stomp Junior! The fans boo Sammy but he takes a bow. Sammy then BLASTS Hijo for good measure!

The fans boo Sammy but Mortos CHOPS Hijo down! Mortos roars but Junior rushes Sammy! Mortos drags Junior back, Sammy CHOPS, and then Sammy BOOTS Hijo! Mortos TOSSES Junior, Sammy CHOKES Hijo, and Mortos joins in! Sammy even CLAWS at the mask! The ref reprimands but Mortos fires quick hands. Mortos CHOPS Hijo but Hijo CHOPS back! Sammy CHOPS, Mortos CHOPS, and they stomp away on Hijo! The fans boo, the ref reprimands, but LFI stops. They stand Hijo up, double whip, and then Sammy sends Mortos in. Hijo dodges Mortos, sending him tumbling up and out! Hijo SUPERKICKS Sammy down!

The fans fire up as Hijo kicks Sammy out, then builds speed! Hijo FLIES and down goes Sammy! Junior is up and he springboards to SWANTON Mortos! The fans fire up for Los Villanos as they stand tall. They bring Mortos into the ring, double whip and SUPERKICK! Los Villanos stand Mortos up, whip him to a corner, then SHINING WIZARD and a JUMP KICK! Junior feeds Mortos to Hijo’s springboard CODE BREAKER! Hijo holds onto Mortos, Junior hits a springboard DOUBLE STOMP! The fans fire up as Los Villanos stand tall again! They drag Sammy in now, and the fans fire up as Junior CHOPS!

Sammy is stinging, he wants a timeout! No such thing here, and the fans are thunderous as Hijo CHOPS Sammy! Los Villanos is all fired up and they bring Sammy around. They whip Sammy, Sammy grabs ropes, and Sammy DUMPS Hijo out! Then Sammy headscissors Junior, but Junior tosses Sammy out to Hijo! Mortos slides in but Junior ROCKS him first! Junior has Mortos on the ropes, takes the straps down, and CHOPS! Junior calls to Hijo and they double whip.

But Mortos rolls off their backs, blows through the lariats, and DOUBLE LARIATS! The fans boo as Los Villanos tumble out, but Sammy is back! Sammy builds speed to FLY! Down go Los Villanos with a Fosbury Flop! Sammy is all fired up, but now Mortos wants to try! Sammy sets Los Villanos up for Mortos to DIVE! The tornillo tope takes both Villanos down! The fans are torn, but a ring count has begun. Sammy GAMANGIRIS Hijo into the ring, then somersaults to CUTTER! Sammy soaks up heat, but Junior springboards in! Sammy dodges, runs up, but is put on the apron. Sammy thrusts in, but gets a KICK for it!

Junior goes up, FLYING SPIKE-RANA!! Junior fires up, but Mortos shoves him to ropes, then scoops for a torture rack! The fans fire up for the BEAST BREAKER! And the DISCUS LARIAT! But Hijo is back and he pulls on the horns! Mortos HEADBUTTS him for it! Mortos whips, pops Hijo up, but Hijo slips free to SOBAT, KICK, and SUPERKICK! Hijo runs, tilt-o-whirls, and DDTS Mortos! The fans fire up again, but Sammy GAMANGIRIS Hijo! Sammy springboards, FLYING CUTTER! But Hijo flounders away, and Junior springboards to DOUBLE STOMP Sammy! But then Sammy flounders away!

Mortos SMACKS Junior on the back, then CHOPS him in the chest! The fans boo but Mortos whips Junior to a corner. Mortos runs up, Junior puts him on the apron, but Mortos SMACKS back! Mortos climbs but Junior GAMANGIRIS! Junior goes up, up, and brings Mortos with him, only for Mortos to SUPER MILITARY PRESS SLAM! The fans boo but Mortos covers. Hijo hurries in but Sammy hits a DESTROYER! Cover, TWO!! Junior survives and the fans fire up! LFI regroups, and Sammy says they’ll finish this. Mortos kicks Junior out and drags Hijo up. Sammy Electric Chair Lifts Hijo while Mortos climbs!

The fans rally as Mortos aims, DOOMSDAY but Hijo flips through! POISON RANA on Sammy! Junior is back to tilt-o-whirl POISON RANA!! DOUBLE cover, TWO!!! LFI survives it all and Los Villanos can’t believe it! Arena Mexico is rocking as Los Villanos rise, and they bring LFI up. Junior fireman’s carries Sammy, Hijo fireman’s carries Mortos, and they both WASTELAND SLAM LFI into the drop zones! Los Villanos both go up, but Mortos and Sammy each dodge a moonsault! Konosuke steps forward, but he blocks the cheap shot! Konosuke fires hands, then whips, but Lee reverses.

Lee catches Takeshita Line to a FLAPJACK, then he SHOTGUNS Konosuke out! Lee builds speed and FLIES! Down goes Konosuke and the fans fire up! Lee blows kisses to Cincy, then goes back to Konosuke. Lee puts Konosuke in the ring while the fans rally up. Konosuke sits up, but into a stomp! Lee paces, Konosuke sits up, and Lee KICKS Konosuke in the back. Lee throws down hands but Konosuke sits up. Lee kicks him, scuffs him, and ROCKS him, but Konosuke puts Lee in the corner! Konosuke fires forearms, then he climbs up to rain down fists! The fans count all the way to TEN! The fans rally for Konosuke but Lee rains down shots on the mat! The ref makes sure those aren’t closed fists, and Lee stops to take a bow. Both men are down past 5 of 10, but the fans rally up. Konosuke rises at 7, stands at 8, and Lee follows. Konosuke ROCKS Lee, but Lee ROCKS Konosuke. Konosuke ROCKS Lee, Lee ROCKS Konosuke! Big Shotty put up a fight worthy of the title, but he could not put up a fight worthy of winning it. Konosuke rolls on with the title, will he continue to be an international star?

Takumi kips free, but Hyan narrowly avoids the buzzsaw. They shake hands again to show respect, and they reset. The two feel things out, Takumi shoots around to then shove Hyan. Hyan dodges, ELBOWS Takumi, then snapmare rolls for some knees! Hyan then snap suplexes!

The fans cheer as Hyan goes to the corner. Hyan runs up, Takumi dodges the dropkick and covers, ONE! Hyan swings, misses, then dodges kick after kick after kick! Then KICK after KICK after KICK in the corner! Takumi rains down shots but the ref backs her off.

We saw a form of this match a week ago, but now we’re getting a bit of a remix that includes La 5ª’s Me Muero! The Talisman of CMLL joins his amigo and former AEW World Trios Championship partner in joining the Youngest Men Alive against The Franchise, The Vanilla Baby, and two “Japanese legends.” Will the TRIPLE champion help turn the tides? Or will it be another win for the Lethal Vice?

The teams sort out and Mistico starts against Rocky Romero. Azucar stands on a corner, but he gets booed. Mistico stands on a corner, and the fans cheer! Rocky gets mad, tries again, but he gets booed. Mistico raises his hand, he gets cheered! Rocky raises his hand, he gets booed! The two go back and forth, fans cheering and booing and booing and cheering, until Rocky gets fed up with it! Rocky storms out of the ring, Trent talks it out with him, and the bell finally rings! The fans rally as Mistico and Rocky finally circle, and then Mistico gets the fans to cheer again. The two finally tie up, go around, and Rocky waistlocks to SLAM!

Rocky flips Mistico but Mistico arm-drags! The fans cheer, Lethal coaches Rocky, and Rocky resets with Mistico. They feel out a knuckle lock, then Rocky wrenches the arm. And wrenches again! Rocky hammerlocks, Mistico fires elbows, then Mistico snapmares free! The fans cheer while Rocky goes to a corner. Rocky and Mistico reset, speed up, and Rocky bypasses, but Mistico springboards to CROSSBODY! Mistico keeps moving, he ducks ‘n’ dodges, then RANAS! Rocky tumbles out, the fans fire up for Mistico, and he builds speed, only for Lethal to CLOBBER him! The fans boo but Lethal, Blake & Trent BLAST Speedball & The Outrunners!

The ref reprimands but the whole team mugs Mistico. Lethal & Blake drag Mistico up, whip him to a corner, then they send Blake in. Blake LARIATS, Lethal LARIATS, Trent LARIATS, and Rocky misses! Mistico mule kicks Rocky while The Outrunners drag Lethal & Blake outta the ring! Bailey also YANKS Trent up and out to the ramp side! Mistico sends Bailey in and he LARIATS Rocky! Mistico LARIATS! Truth SPLASHES! Turbo ELBOWS! The fans cheer, but now Trent, Lethal & Blake rush back in! Only for Mistico and team to put them all in the corners! The fans know, “Belt Stays On!” Tag to Truth, then they whip, BODY BLOW, and KNEE LIFT into the BIG back suplex! The fans cheer, especially as The Outrunners both flex. Truth covers, Trent runs in, but Truth moves so the ELBOW DROP lands on Rocky! Trent is mad, but Truth dodges him to ROCK Rocky! Trent whips, Truth reverse sand TOSSES Trent out!

Trent trips and drags Truth out, but Truth DECKS Trent! Then Truth dodges Lethal’s plancha! But Blake hits an APRON SPEAR! Rocky BLASTS Turbo, Mistico and Bailey, then tags Blake. Blake HIP DROPS Truth down, then drags him back up. Blake whips Truth to a corner, runs up, but Truth puts him on the apron. Blake ENZIGIRIS in return! Blake then springboards to FLYING LARIAT! Blake drags Truth over, bumps him off buckles, then tags Lethal. Lethal stomps away while Blake digs his boot in! The ref counts, Blake stops, but Lethal keeps going! The ref counts again, Lethal stops, but Trent gets a cheap shot in!

The fans boo but Lethal goes back to Truth. Rocky gets a cheap shot in first, then Lethal YANKS Truth back. Lethal steps through, “This is Awesome!” as Truth endures! Truth fights his way around, but Blake tags in! Slingshot SENTON! Blake manages to make that, then he mocks Bailey with a martial arts bow, and two middle fingers! The ref keeps Bailey and Turbo back, but Blake stomps Truth. Blake drags Truth up but Truth fires body shots. Truth scoops, Blake slips free, but Truth runs up! Blake BOOTS Truth, goes outside, then springboards in. Truth dodges, and he scoops to SLAM! The fans fire up while both men are down!

Truth and Blake crawl, push past each other, and hot tags to Turbo and Lethal! Turbo LARIATS, and DECKS, and scoops Lethal to SLAM! And then another scoop for a SLAM! Turbo kicks low, reels Lethal in, and the fans cheer the scoop for the SNOW PLOW! Turbo fires up, Truth steps in, and they set up! The fans feel it, but then Blake DROPKICKS Truth! While the Fallen Goddess, the Minion Overlord, the American Joshi, the ROH Gatekeeper has been champion for what feels like forever, there is one glaring loss on her record. It was just earlier this year, at NJPW’s New Beginning in USA, Athena failed to take the IWGP Women’s Championship from The Karate Girl, who has had that title since last October. Athena wants her revenge by beating Syuri in a match for Athena’s title, but will she have what she wants? Or will Syuri be the one to end the Forever Reign?

The fans cheer while Syuri backs off. Athena is annoyed and paces around before stepping back inside. The two reset, tie up, and go around. Athena waistlocks, Syuri switches, but Athena wrenches free. The fans rally as Syuri rolls and wrenches back, but Athena handsprings to wrench back!

Athena arm-drags, kips up, and the fans cheer. The two reset again, feel things out, and knuckle lock. Athena headlocks but Syuri fires body shots. Ref Aubrey Edwards counts but Syuri fires TEN knees before she’s done! Syuri revels in the cheers, but Athena manages to reel her in for a SNAP POWERSLAM on the apron! The fans fire up again while Syuri slumps to the floor. Athena goes out after Syuri, CLUBS her on the back, then drags Syuri up to bring her around. Athena ROCKS Syuri again and again, then THROWS her into railing! And then into LED barriers! Aubrey reprimands, Athena says shut up, but Aubrey shouts back that Athena can’t shout at her like that! Athena drags Syuri up, brings her around, and puts her in the ring. Athena then KICKS Syuri in the back!

The fans rally up as Athena scuffs Syuri, then brings her up. Syuri fires a forearm! Athena fires back! Syuri fires another forearm! Athena throat chops! Aubrey reprimands, but Athena SENTONS! Cover, TWO! Athena is annoyed again but she sits Syuri up to ROCK her with a right hand! Athena then KNEES low, fires more shots, then clinches for a modified abdominal stretch! The fans rally as Syuri endures, and Syuri fires body shots! Syuri rolls Athena up, TWO! Syuri runs up, tilt-o-whirls, RANAS, but Athena handsprings through! Only for Syuri to CODE BREAKER! Athena flounders to the ramp while the fans fire up!

Syuri hurries out after Athena while the fans duel. Syuri stands Athena up, ROCKS her, then ROCKS her again! And again! Syuri has Athena on stage now, but Athena fights the underhooks! Athena shoves free, Syuri runs up, but Athena catches her! Fireman’s carry, WASTELAND on the ramp! The fans fire up for that, and Athena drags Syuri up to TOSS into the ring. The fans fire up as Syuri runs, wheelbarrows, and BULLDOGS! The fans fire up even more as Syuri winds up and KICKS Athena in the back! Then she KICKS Athena in the front! Cover, TWO! Athena toughs it out, she’s not 1287 days into her reign for nothing! Syuri brings Athena up, Athena YANKS her into the corner, then sweeps the legs! Athena runs to BOOT Syuri and DECK her! Aubrey checks them, Athena and Syuri are able to continue, so the fans rally up. The ring count begins, both women are still down at 5 of 20. Syuri stirs, but the count is now 10 of 20! Athena finally starts to sit up, but we hit 15! Athena and Syuri use the apron skirt to stand up at 17! They both roll in at 19! The fans cheer as the two stare down. They snarl and rise, and Syuri fires a forearm! Athena fires back! Syuri fires another forearm, Athena fires back!

Syuri staggers, but she comes back to fire another forearm! Athena fires back, and the fans rally up. The shots go back and forth, faster and faster, harder and harder! The Fallen Goddess avenges her loss from February, but that just means she and the Karate Girl are 1-1. And perhaps surprisingly, Athena shows respect by bowing to Syuri. Now, Athena shifts focus to the Women’s Owen Hart Cup, and her match with Maya World on Collision. Will the Forever Champion make herself the Queen of Harts?

My Thoughts:

A great Global Wars, and it was just over two hours. Not to keep harping on how regular episodes of ROH are all over the place in runtime, but it makes specials like Global Wars feel special when the regular episodes are 90 minutes max, like we just got on Tuesday with YouTube. But even then, Global Wars probably didn’t even need to be two hours when they could’ve put some of these matches on a regular ROH or even Collision. The 8 Man Tag was a lot of fun, but it was mostly for the fun of having Mistico in town. Outrunners and Lethal Twist brawling off to be completely absent for the finish was just to build the Six Man title feud, and we could’ve just had Outrunners VS Swirl or something on a regular ROH.

That said, Lee Johnson looked great against Konosuke Takeshita, but of course Konosuke retains. A non-ROH title wasn’t changing hands here, this was just to help pad some stats and have some good wrestling. But then speaking of title changes, I did NOT expect that for the ROH World TV title to open the night. I don’t know how to feel for Fox, because it is sad that his run ends already, but maybe he was okay with the move. It’s a great thing for Lio, of course, he’s been trying to make his way in AEW/ROH, and the Problem Child/Black Heart is very over, so it makes sense that he gets a title period. Plus, now he and Action can feud 1v1 with this title on top of it.

Very good tag match for Velvet, Rosa, Lacey and Viva, though I was hoping a Women’s World TV title story would stem from this. Well, maybe Rosa comes back next week to talk with Velvet and they arrange for a title match at some later date. Very good singles matches from Diamante VS Maika and Hyan VS Takumi, but it makes sense for both visiting wrestlers to win. Great match from LFI VS Los Villanos, but it makes sense for LFI to retain so they can come back to ROH and face the teams waiting for them. Hopefully, Mortos’ visa issues clear up soon. And great match from Athena VS Syuri, but I figured Athena would retain. Maybe we get the tiebreaker down the line, but the only way to escalate would be a double title match, assuming both retain their titles by then.
