Lio Rush speaks.
In a frenzied whisper, the Problem Child tells us, “It’s fine. He’s coming…! Yes! Now! Don’t move…! He can’t see you. He sees you. Oh no! It’s okay. Let me out. Out, out, out, oh no, no, no, no, no. It’s fine. Don’t move, he’s coming. He can’t see you. He sees you! Look! The rain! He’s near! He likes it! No, no, no, no. It’s fine.” Whether or not Lio himself can make heads or tails of his message, what’s clear is that the NEW ROH World Television Champion is enjoying the reign. But what comes next?
ROH shares footage from after last week’s episode.
ROH Media caught up with Action Andretti, and he immediately said, “You gotta be kidding me. You’re coming up to me? Yeah, Lio just became the NEW ROH TV Champion, and y’know what? That match was BS from the start! Lio shouldn’t have even been in that match, because Lio lost fair ‘n’ square to AR Fox the first time he had a shot at that title. But y’know what? Congratulations, Lio! Congratulations! But listen to this: You keep that title nice and close. You take care of that title, you enjoy your time with that title. Because I promise you, I’m coming for it.” The Sight to See is ready to make this on-sight, but when and where will he get his shot at the Problem Child?
Sammy Guevara speaks.
“Shh… ROH, Everybody’s Favorite Pillar is about to talk. You see, I have been going back to back to back trips to Mexico City and Arena Mexico for CMLL, and The Beast Mortos, who’s still stuck there because of unfortunate visa issues. It doesn’t matter, though, because we’ve been kicking ass in Mexico, retaining these tag team titles. But the work doesn’t stop for the Spanish God, oh no, no, no. I’m going back to Arena Mexico, another sell out, and the reason it’s sold out is because Sammy Guevara is everybody’s, and especially Mexico’s, favorite luchador. So I’m gonna kick some ass, especially kick the ass of Mistico.
“Mistico, you’re gonna go and choose a partner to go against The Beast Mortos & Sammy Guevara? Well, you’ve stepped up to get stepped on! So, soon you, the viewers, can watch here on ROH, as we hold these titles forever, baby! Sammy Guevara and still and always tag team champion.” And let it be known that Mistico naturally chose his teammate in El Sky Team, Mascara Dorada, to do battle next Friday! But will Mistico y Dorada be bringing momentum from their Forbidden Door Triple Threat Tag? Or will that not matter against La Faccion Ingobernable?
Backstage interview with Dalton Castle & The Outrunners.
Lexy Nair is with the ROH World Six Man Tag Team Champions, and she says it is pretty obvious that The Lethal Twist is after them. What do they have to say in response? Truth Magnum tells the Twist that there seems to be a real shortage of love going around. If the boys wanna ride the lightning, they better be careful not to catch the thunder! Tell ’em, Turb! Turbo Floyd says it’s obvious what The Twist is after. It’s bright, it’s shiny, but hey, good luck getting this belt off Turbo, because he’s pretty sure it’s stuck! He’s on it all the time, and it REEKS! The Peacock works up something to say, and he says, “LETHAL TWIST! … What the heck?”
Yeah, what the heck? WHAT THE HEEEECK?! But will we all see just what the heck happens when Jay Lethal, Blake Christian & Lee Johnson get their shot at The Peacock & The Youngest Men Alive?
The Opps speak.
Hook has Shibata hand the camera back to the cameraman, the people need to see him. Shibata does just that and joins Hook and Anthony Bowens in front of the camera as Hook says, “We’re fresh off a victory. Y’know what’s on my mind tonight?” Shibata shouts, “KATSU!” Hook agrees, it’s all about winning. Bowens says he doesn’t know about them, but he has violence on his mind. Hook says violence and winning, and championship gold. Championship gold is on their minds. So Conglomeration, in 48 hours, Collision, they challenge you for those AEW World Trios Championships. And they’ll beat you so bad, you won’t make it to Forbidden Door.
Bowens says that’s right! They’ll leave Conglomeration battered, beaten, and in a puddle of their own blood. Then The Opps get their standing ovation. Bowens claps, Hook says too much. Hook leads the way out, but are they about to take back the trios titles? Or will The Conglomeration pull through to make it to San Jose?

FUJIWARA!! OLYMPIA TAPS, DEONNA WINS!
Winner: Deonna Purrazzo, by submission (still ROH Women’s Pure Champion)
In just under 9 minutes, and only needing one ropebreak, Deonna seals the deal! But she shows Olympia respect and Olympia returns it. Will no one, no matter where they come from, be able to dethrone Deonna?
My Thoughts:
I didn’t realize there’d be more Global Wars until it was advertised, so this was a pretty good “night two” here. It was only 90 minutes compared to last week’s two hours, which is funny because I’ve been talking about ROH needing to be 90 minutes for regular weekly TV. Either way, there was less really going on in this one, to where it felt like a regular ROH TV episode. And honestly, all the matches went about how I expected them to, right down to the Premier Athletes abandoning poor Beef against The Opps. The Opps suddenly thinking they can get those trios titles is typical Heel ego, which is probably why they’re gonna lose on Saturday.
Great showing for Ace even in losing to Davis, and this helps build Davis up as a champion. Great showing for Billie even in her losing effort to Syuri. And once again, a Pure Championship match has an hour to use as a time limit, but we barely break the Proving Ground ten minute mark. Deonna gets a solid defense in, but someone needs to actually challenge her, aka push the time limit and the ropebreak limit.
My Score: 8.6/10
