MJF and Mark Briscoe to Pick Forbidden Door Teams on Dynamite

AEW champion MJF and Mark Briscoe will select their teams on next Wednesday’s Dynamite, setting up a 6-on-6 steel cage match at Forbidden Door on June 28 in San Jose. The Collision announcement also confirmed the sides will meet in a standard 12-man tag in Sugar Land, Texas, and Briscoe revealed that if his team wins at Forbidden Door he will earn an AEW World Title shot.

MJF was shown offering Don Callis money to secure cooperation and reportedly agreed to give Kevin Knight a post-Forbidden Door title opportunity in exchange for his participation on MJF’s side. Will Ospreay will also face Swerve Strickland ahead of their Owen Hart Foundation final after Ospreay defeated Mark Davis, and Dynamite’s June 17 card includes Mercedes Mone vs. Hazuki in the women’s Owen Hart semifinal and the announced 12-man tag between MJF’s and Briscoe’s teams.
