Netflix Sets July 21 Premiere for WWE: Unreal Season 3
Netflix has announced that WWE: Unreal Season 3 will premiere on July 21, with the new slate centering heavily on John Cena’s retirement tour and his final match against Gunther. The streamer teased, “John Cena says goodbye, a fan favorite returns, and the next generation of WWE Superstars rise to the occasion,” and that fan favorite appears to be AJ Lee, who returned to the ring in September 2025 and is currently on a break following WrestleMania 42.
The announcement was touted on WWE Raw by Michael Cole as the biggest season yet; seasons one and two each consisted of five roughly hour-long episodes. Produced by WWE alongside Omaha Productions, NFL Films and Skydance Sports, Unreal earned three nominations at the 2026 Sports Emmy Awards but did not take home any wins.
