Nic Nemeth: TNA Locker Room Morale Has “Dropped a Little” After Recent Departures

After a morale boost following TNA’s new AMC television deal, Nic Nemeth says the locker room vibe has “dropped a little” amid several high-profile exits. Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Nemeth—who admits he’s biased given his friendship with Tommy Dreamer—reacted to Dreamer’s departure from the creative team and noted that Sami Callihan has also left behind-the-scenes roles while talents including Steve Maclin, Tessa Blanchard and Myla Grace requested releases; TNA called the changes a workforce reduction to streamline operations.

Nemeth stressed the locker room remains close-knit but “a little weird” lately and said he’s waiting to see the full picture when he returns for Slammiversary in Boston on June 28, where he will challenge Mike Santana for the TNA World Championship. Tonight’s Impact will feature Santana and Nemeth teaming with KC Navarro against Mustafa Ali, John Skyler and Jason Hotch as tensions continue to play out ahead of the PPV.
