NXT Viewership Rises to 610,000 Despite World Cup Competition
WWE NXT averaged 610,000 viewers on The CW this Tuesday, an 11.3% increase from the previous week, and posted a 0.09 rating in the 18-49 demo — matching last week and marking its best demo number since May 5. The uptick came even while going head-to-head with a World Cup match on Fox that drew over nine million viewers and a 2.99 18-49 rating; NXT still finished last among network programming in both total viewers and the demo.
Year-over-year, NXT’s overall audience was down 7.6% and its 18-49 rating fell 43.8%, but the program improved versus recent averages, rising 8.4% in total viewers and 12.5% in the 18-49 demo compared to the prior 10-week trends. The modest gains this week suggest incremental momentum for the brand despite stiff sports competition on broadcast television.
