Rhea Ripley Being Evaluated for Knee Injury After Italy Tour
WWE Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley is currently being evaluated for a knee injury she suffered in Italy, WWE announced on Friday’s SmackDown. Wade Barrett and Joe Tessitore reported that the severity of the injury and any return timeline will depend on how Ripley responds to treatment.
Ripley last wrestled on television at Clash in Italy, where she retained the title against Jade Cargill, and made several live-event appearances afterward; her most recent match was a six-woman tag in Lisbon alongside Charlotte Flair and Tiffany Stratton against Fatal Influence. On TV she’s recently formed an uneasy alliance with Flair and Alexa Bliss, with Flair advancing in the Queen of the Ring amid interference that saw Bliss and Stratton come to the aid of Ripley’s side.
