ROH World Tag Team Titles to Be Defended on Global Wars Cincinnati After Three-Month Hiatus

For the first time in over three months, the ROH World Tag Team Championship will be defended on Ring of Honor programming as champions Sammy Guevara and The Beast Mortos put the straps on the line against Los Villanos (El Hijo del Villano III & Villano III Jr.) during ROH’s airing of Global Wars Cincinnati this Thursday at WatchROH.com. The match was taped not in Ohio but at Friday’s CMLL Viernes Espectacular at Arena México in Mexico City.

The hiatus in title defenses on ROH television has been driven by visa issues that have kept Mortos from working in the United States — he hasn’t wrestled in the U.S. since the March 18 episode of AEW Collision. Global Wars Cincinnati’s card also features ROH Women’s World Champion Athena vs. Syuri, AEW International Champion Konosuke Takeshita vs. Lee Johnson, and an ROH World TV Championship triple threat involving AR Fox, Action Andretti and Lio Rush.
