Sami Callihan Blasts TNA Management After Zoom Firing

Sami Callihan says he was blindsided when TNA informed him via a Zoom call that he was part of a recent workforce reduction, and he vocally objected to the decision. Callihan told Busted Open Radio he expected to be moved into creative after Tommy Dreamer’s departure, only to find himself told he was being let go; he said he “went off” during the call, argued he had given his life to the company and unsuccessfully tried to persuade management they were making a mistake, later sending TNA President Carlos Silva a text acknowledging he handled the situation poorly.

Callihan defended his wide-ranging contributions to TNA — producer/agent duties, merchandise and marketing work — and criticized what he sees as a creatively safe approach since the AMC era, arguing for better synergy between established names and younger voices. With talks of Brian “Road Dogg” James possibly joining creative, Callihan says he’s a “Swiss Army knife” who’s exploring next steps while continuing to run Wrestling Revolver (which he described as profitable despite losses tied to Triller TV) and remaining retired from active competition as of August 2025.
