The Duke of Dorchester Pete Doherty Passes Away at 85
Pete Doherty, better known to wrestling fans as “The Duke of Dorchester,” has died at the age of 85, the Cauliflower Alley Club first reported. Doherty spent decades in regional promotions and competed in the WWF during the 1970s and 1980s, primarily serving as enhancement talent who helped elevate emerging stars.
Though often used to put others over, Doherty recorded notable victories in his career, including a Bunkhouse Battle Royal and a win over Haku. He will be remembered for his longevity in the business and the role he played in shaping numerous careers in professional wrestling.
