Thekla Ambushes Stardom President Taro Okada at THE CONVERSION 2026
AEW Women’s World Champion Thekla made a surprise appearance at Stardom THE CONVERSION 2026 on June 20, emerging behind Stardom president Taro Okada and attempting to cut his hair with clippers before attacking him and trying to spit on the Stardom logo. Thekla — who was written off as fired from Stardom in April 2025 — was ultimately thrown out of the building by security after the confrontation.
Starlight Kid, Thekla’s upcoming opponent at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door, ran in to make the save, hoisted the AEW Women’s World Championship and vowed that when she next holds the title she will return to Japan as champion to protect Stardom. The heated exchange sets the table for their match at the SAP Center in San Jose on June 28, 2026.
