TNA Announces Inaugural Knockouts Television Championship, 16-Woman Tournament to Begin on Impact
TNA Wrestling officially unveiled the new TNA Knockouts Television Championship during the Slammiversary pre-show at Agganis Arena in Boston, where TNA Hall of Famer Traci Brooks announced a 16-woman tournament starting on this Thursday’s episode of Impact. Brooks confirmed the title will be defended exclusively on Impact Wrestling, calling it an opportunity for the Knockouts to “make history” and prove the division’s strength.
The announcement came moments after the night’s opening three-way, won by Elayna Black over Mara Sadé and Indi Hartwell, and follows earlier reporting that TNA was exploring a mid-card title for the Knockouts. The tournament winner will be crowned the first-ever Knockouts Television Champion and carry the new title into regular Impact television defenses.
