Tony Khan names Thekla, Kevin Knight, Kyle Fletcher and Mercedes Mone as AEW’s new pillars
AEW President Tony Khan told Q93 that Thekla, Kevin Knight, Kyle Fletcher and Mercedes Mone are four of the most valuable recent additions to the company, calling them standout free-agent signings who have quickly become important pieces of the roster. Khan acknowledged that picking pillars is subjective but highlighted those names as examples of young talent who have made a major impact since joining AEW.
Currently Thekla is the AEW Women’s World Champion and Knight holds the TNT Championship, while Fletcher and Mone are notable former titleholders (Fletcher held the TNT and Trios titles; Mone held the TBS title). Khan’s comments also fuel a potential All In 2026 showdown—if Thekla retains at Forbidden Door and Mone advances through the Owen Hart Cup, a Women’s World Championship match between the two could be next on the horizon.
