Tony Khan Says ‘No’ to Buying TNA at $40 Million, Calls Acquisition ‘Not a Priority’
Asked during a pre-Forbidden Door media call if he would buy TNA, AEW CEO Tony Khan laughed and answered “No” when Wrestlenomics’ Brandon Thurston proposed a $40 million price. Khan said TNA has value but any acquisition would have to be at the right price, stressed it is not a current priority, and confirmed he has not had serious conversations about a purchase.
He added that a deal could be interesting if the price made sense, a caveat he applies broadly, but reiterated there are no active talks. Since founding AEW in 2019, Khan’s only notable promotion acquisition has been Ring of Honor, which he continues to operate with weekly WatchROH programming and periodic specials.
