Will Ospreay Defends Controversial Post-Wedding Promo, Calls Critics “F**k Off”
Will Ospreay pushed back against online backlash after a June 17 AEW Dynamite promo about his newlywed wife Alex Windsor, telling 107.7 The Bone he was joking and meant no harm. He explained the line about “smashing the life out of her” referred to beating Windsor at Mario Kart, called himself “authentically myself” and said he was “being funny” when delivering the remarks.
Ospreay added that key figures including his boss, major studios and Windsor herself did not take issue with the comments and bluntly told detractors to “F**k off,” arguing there are larger problems in the world to focus on. The British star is scheduled to face Swerve Strickland in the Owen Hart Foundation final at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door on June 28, 2026.
