WWE Files Trademark for “Bakusai,” Sparking Hiromu Takahashi Speculation
WWE filed a trademark application for the term Bakusai on June 26, describing a broad range of entertainment services including wrestling exhibitions and performances, broadcast and online media, websites and fan-club services, newsletters and blogs — language that suggests the mark could be attached to an in-ring performer or related programming.
There is no official confirmation of who, or what, Bakusai represents, but the filing has renewed speculation that it could be linked to former NJPW star Hiromu Takahashi, who departed New Japan earlier this year; previous name rumors such as “Nox Raijin” have been debunked by F4W’s Bryan Alvarez.
