WWE Merger Trial Removed From Delaware Court Calendar
The planned four-day trial over WWE shareholder claims tied to the company’s merger was removed from the Delaware Court of Chancery schedule, court administrator Tamara Burton confirmed to Post Wrestling reporter Brandon Thurston. The cancellation was announced Saturday and it is not yet clear whether a settlement has been reached or is being negotiated; the trial had been scheduled to begin Monday.
The case was expected to include testimony from Vince McMahon, Nick Khan, Paul Levesque, Ari Emanuel and Mark Shapiro, with shareholders alleging McMahon structured the deal to retain control rather than secure the highest sale value. The defendants previously faced a judicial rebuke after a judge found McMahon and Khan “acted recklessly” by using the Signal app and adjusting auto-delete settings to erase messages.
