AEW Collision spoilers from San Diego: Death Riders win, Fletcher tops ELP in main event

AEW taped Collision at Viejas Arena in San Diego after Dynamite on July 1 for the July 2 broadcast. In-ring highlights included Death Riders defeating Shingo Takagi and Drilla Moloney after Daniel Garcia interfered, Andrade el Ídolo beating Brian Cage, and Adam Copeland & the Bang Bang Gang defeating Shane Taylor Promotions before being laid out in a post-match beatdown by The Dogs and the Death Riders. Kyle Fletcher closed the show with a win over ELP, Athena defeated Rina to earn the No. 1 spot in the Women’s Casino Gauntlet, and Maya World beat Julia Hart to secure the No. 2 spot; Bandido, Místico and “Speedball” Mike Bailey also defeated The Rascals.

The night featured several storyline developments: Don Callis cut a promo claiming he made Konosuke Takeshita a star and taunted Fletcher before Takeshita arrived and Callis exited, Takeshita also teased his Dynamite match with Fletcher, Thekla debuted a Starlight Kid mask and declared “long live the Toxic Spider,” Matt Sydal joined Skyflight, Toa Liona was busted open, Ricochet cut a promo on Sydal and Skyflight, and Hook warned Katsuyori Shibata will take the ROH title. Other vignettes from Conglomeration and Divine Dominion pushed upcoming feuds and Casino Gauntlet stakes.
