AEW Files Trademark for Death’s Door Stipulation
AEW has filed to trademark the “Death’s Door” match name after debuting the stipulation at Forbidden Door 2026, submitting the application on June 29. The filing lists the mark for entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests, live professional wrestling performances, and production of professional wrestling programs and events; the match featured a rounded steel cage with extra room between the ring and the structure.
Mark Briscoe teamed with Orange Cassidy, Roderick Strong, Kyle O’Reilly, Konosuke Takeshita and Darby Allin to defeat MJF and The Don Callis Family — whose side included Kazuchika Okada, Andrade El Idolo, Kevin Knight, Kyle Fletcher and Jake Doyle — in the Death’s Door bout, highlighted by Andrade turning on both MJF and DCF. With the win, Briscoe earned a World Championship shot against MJF that will open the July 1 episode of AEW Dynamite in San Diego.
