AJPW to Hold Memorial Service for Joe Doering at Korakuen Hall

All Japan Pro Wrestling will hold a memorial service and set up a flower altar for Joe Doering during its “Summer Action Series 2026” show at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo on Sunday, July 19, the promotion announced. Doering, who died on June 26 at the age of 44 after being moved to hospice care, will be honored at the event; AJPW said it will announce the start time of the service and the location of the flower altar as soon as they are decided.

Doering enjoyed his greatest success with AJPW as a two-time Triple Crown Champion and four-time tag team champion, and also wrestled for TNA/Impact Wrestling before his career was derailed by brain cancer first diagnosed in 2016 and recurring in 2022 and 2025. AJPW offered condolences to his family and praised his courage; the July 19 card will feature a Tag Team Title defense by The Saito Brothers against Daisuke Sekimoto & Kengo Mashimo and a tag bout of Triple Crown Champion Kento Miyahara teaming with Kuma Arashi against Ren Ayabe & Ryuki Honda, building toward Miyahara vs. Ayabe on July 25.
