Andrew’s JCW Lunacy Results & Match Ratings: Ep# 89

The Clowns have the most consistent show on Thursdays! Got to give Russo some credit…right?

Published

on

Josh Bishop got an official number one contender’s shot, Dani Mo was revealed as The Dealer and also Barnabas’ daughter. Jasmin St Claire is pregnant, Ruffo has been found and Vito is pissed off.

Every question that got answered last week, feels like one or two more questions cropped up. Which honestly, is good television. Let’s see what else the clowns bring us.

Ratings:

  • Sophia Rose vs Sonny Kiss: Sonny wins via O’Connor Roll w/Bridge – **
  • JCW Tag Team Titles: 2 Tuff Tony & Willie Mack (c) vs Choppa City: Choppa’s win after Backseatz Interferencce – ** 1/2 – TITLE CHANGE!!!
  • Josh Bishop w/Joel Gertner vs Future Endeavors: Bishop wins via Double Title Shots – ***

Results:

Violent J comes out to open the show. J says you have to be ready for surprises and learn to expect the unexpected. Violent J says the he has a surprise in the locker room. The wicked vixen, Jasmin St Claire walks out showing she’s pregnant. Jasmin is pissed off that she’s pregnant but doesn’t know who’s responsible for this “bullshit”. She says someone lied and didn’t pull out. This “Who’s Cartman’s Mom”, Jerry Springer angle, while stupid…is a bit amusing.

J states everyone has banged her and she’s probably blown out like Yokozuna’s socks. Which…that’s a good line. J calls out the doctor he contacted last week. Doctor Fadem walks out. He brings up J’s hemorrhoidal infection again for comedy but its not going over with the crowd. He then calls Jasmin “Jabba the Slut”, but is getting no real reaction aside from heckles.

While the concept of the pregnancy is amusing, that was a rough segment. Pretty cringe, and not in the endearing way.

Sophia Rose vs Sonny Kiss

Sonny…I haven’t seen her in a minute, so that’s interesting. And then Hollyhood Haley J comes out as a guest commentator to replace Veda Scott.

Collar and Elbow into the Switch, takedown, Headlock and Sonny has Sophia grounded until Sophia grabs the Headscissors, but Sonny gets away from it. Sonny with a Fake Out Handspring Cartwheel, just to blow a kiss and bait Sophia into a wild swing and a unique Cradle opportunity for two.

Sophia clocks Sonny, chokes Sonny along the ropes and does a little lasso and Cowgirl ride for a taunt. A Mudhole Stomp into a Pump Kick Bootwash keeps Sophia in charge. Sonny tries to fight back up but Sophia shakes it off and grabs the Headlock. Sonny fights up, a few Round Kicks, Split to dodge, Sonny pulls Sophia’s leg so she Splits as well, they fight from the Split position and then clock each other. Once back up Sonny hits a Tornillo, Dropkick and Blue Thunder Bomb into the Twerking Moonsault, but Sophia gets the knees up.

Sophia tries the Spicolli Driver, Sonny slips it, O’Connor Roll into the Wrestler’s Bridge and Sonny wins! Haley J makes the save for Sonny when Sophia attacks after the match.

JCW Tag Team Titles: 2 Tuff Tony & Willie Mack (c) vs Choppa City

Choppa City has started to get over with the JCW crowd, and while I think the gimmick is a little dumb, there’s definitely some charm.

Tony decided to share some of his booze with Bruce Wayans. Tony asks him if he wants more, that’s a good way to incapacitate your opponents, get them drunk on Bacardi early. Willie takes a drink, the referee takes a drink and Tony even gives drinks to the cameraman. This entrance is longer than the Undertaker WrestleMania XXX entrance, even gave commentary shots.

Bruce and Tony bro hug a bit, and it’s definitely surprising since when Choppa City debuted, they stole the titles and then there was a dumpster fight the week after. So the respect is solid enough story telling as they strike each other, then Tony pulls Bruce’s headband over his eyes, and instead of adjusting the headband he plays blind for a few wild chops until Atiba helps him. Throat Chops, Tag Chops, Slap Chop, Hip Hop Chop, Chop Suey, Clubbering Chops…Wholesale Choppin until Bruce tries the Diving Chop but Tony moves, Willie takes in, Lariats, Spin Kicks, Chocolate Juggalo Splashing both Choppers and then hits the Bronco Buster on Bruce. Willie wants the X Factor but Atiba stops it, then Tony levels them both, Scoop Slams and Lionsault from the Drunk onto both Choppa members. Six Star Frog Splash from Willie, but then Tony goes for the Bacardi for the Meteorite…but the Backseat Boyz distract the referee, Tommy hits Tony with a Crowbar while JP has the referee’s attention and Choppa City wins!

Choppas look shocked and confused, so it just seems like pettiness from the Backseatz. The match was okay, more fun then a legit match, but an entertaining watch.

Gertner and Vince have a moment where Joel Gertner says he doesn’t want the agreement anymore. Bishop wants a real match with Caleb, not a payoff. Vince gets a few digs in at Paul Heyman, and then tells Joel if he wants to play, Bishop will have to play tonight. So Vince is going to throw a match as Bishop.

Barnabas comes out to hash it out with Dani. He says he did it for her own good, Dani comes out and says he left his 5 year old daughter at the Carnival. Barnabas tries to say he loved her mother Barbara…Barbara and Barnabas…that’s goofy. But the story is that Dani’s mom died during child birth, so he tried until she was 5…Dani thinks he abandoned her because she was a burden and used that hatred as motivation. She says now its her time to make his life miserable and calls him a deadbeat Dad. Barnabas snaps, said he tried, but says she was a whiny, insufferable spoiled brat, and blames Dani for losing the “love of his life” and that he would’ve begged Barbara to have an abortion if he knew she’d die giving child birth. So he flips the misery games on Dani, and says “Let’s play a game”. No family reunion in this segment, just both of them hate each other and are at odds.

Josh Bishop w/Joel Gertner vs Future Endeavors

Caleb Konley is out on commentary, and Vince Russo sends his problem solvers at Bishop.

Future Endeavors attacks Bishop immediately. They’re just gang attacking Bishop on the outside now. Bishop stops Mercer and bounces his face off the guardrail, Bishop tries to send Cross into the guardrail, but he puts the brakes on for a moment until Bishop crotches Cross. Mercer then grabs Bishop and slams him into the apron. Mercer stays on Bishop in the ring, Scoop Slam into a Standing Moonsault from Cross, but only a one count.

They whip Bishop into the corner, Stinger Splash from Cross, Sack of Shit from Mercer, and a two count. Bishop is shoved into the corner, both men Chop the hell out of him, Cross tries a Handspring Back Elbow, but Bishop grabs him and dumps him. He fires into Mercer and rocks him but an Enzuigiri from Cross stuns Bishop, Cross Cutter with the Shoulder Rebound into Mercer executing a beautiful X-Plex for two. They grab Bishop, he throws hands and feet, but then him and Mercer go power struggle, Mercer tries the Gorilla Press but Bishop slips it, drop Cross with a Big Boot. Referee gets caught, Endeavors hits the Pump Kick and German Suplex tandem attack. Then Caleb enters the ring, wants to attack Bishop with the custom title but Bishop dodges, Caleb puts on the brakes.

Gertner hands Bishop the old JCW World Title, Bishop snatches Caleb’s title and clocks the Endeavors with two titles and pins Cross for the win!

Blast for the Past: Ring Ryders vs The Haters St. Andrew’s Brawl 2011

Sally Boy locks up Vito and Vincenzo, then walks to the ring. Sally Boy calls out Yabo, and Yabo hits the ring hot and beats the piss out of Sally boy, but Vito and Vincenzo get out from where they were locked up and start ganging up on Yabo. The JWO music hits and Tony, Willie and Violent J make the save. Tony handcuffs Vito to the ropes, Willie kicks Vincenzo in the balls and they clear out Sal and Vincenzo, while beating the hell out of Vito.

The JWO walks Vincenzo through the crowd, beating on him the entire way as Vito is helpless in the ring. We then cut to Big Al finding HoKane’s shrine, and HoKane’s covers her face with the chloroform rag and Alice is out cold. The show ends with HoKane admiring her new toy, captive? What’s her deal?

Overall Score: 7/10

Another generally fun show, with serviceable enough wrestling. Bishop looked like a beast over coming Future Endeavors and Caleb’s attempted screw job. Even if the show started off clunky with that awkward doctor segment, it still rolled with that well enough. Also the sight gag of Suicide walking out of the DNA testing room while Matt Cross was waiting in line was just funny. Dani and Barnabas doubling down on their hatred is great. I’m glad we didn’t get some Disney “I forgive you” or hug it out crap. Sally Boy continuing to be a screw up while also realizing Vito might’ve had his dad “wacked”, could eventually lead to a babyface turn for Sal, but right now this Mafia gimmick hasn’t worn out its welcome to me yet.

Vincenzo is now JWO property, the women’s division is getting busier with the return of Sonny Kiss and Haley J, tag title picture is interesting. Choppa City is fun, but they also kind of suck. Backseatz just look like pricks, which is great, but they don’t really have a “good” tag team, in terms of wrestling, outside of Future Endeavors and a sober Outbreak.

Lots of things to make you want to check out next week, but I’m personally only uninterested in the Jasmin pregnancy thing unless its a funny reveal.
