Andrew’s MLW Fusion Results & Match Ratings: 7.25.2026

MLW is really starting to lose me. The only positive the show really has going for it, is that normally it’s only a one hour show. So even a bad episode is more tolerable than most other promotions that go two or more hours.

This show doesn’t really have anything going for it on paper, just a lot of set up stuff. So are we really just getting a filler episode? I guess there’s only one way to find out.

Ratings:

• Andrew Everett vs LaBron Kozone: Kozone wins via Ball Game – -(**) negative two stars, yes
• Zamaya vs Priscilla Kelly: Zamaya wins via Death Valley Driver – ** 1/4
• Matt Riddle vs Josh Bishop: Riddle wins via Floating Bro – ** 3/4

Results:

The show starts with Matt Riddle coming out with Killer Kross as they’re going to sign on the dotted line for their title fight. The only two time MLW World Champion in Satoshi Kojima, versus the current one. But before anything gets signed, all three Skyscrapers walk out, then Austin Aries walks out. Kojima hits Austin with the “You Talk Too Much”, someone’s trying to get on Botchamania highlights. Aries says “You eat too much”, then Josh Bishop says he’s surprised Riddle passed the piss test to even be in the building tonight. Bishop versus Matt Riddle will be a great match, but Rich Bocchini finally gets some things settled down, they sign, shake hands and…a whole lot of nothing.

That was like 4 minutes that could’ve been an email. But at least we get a Matt Riddle versus Josh Bishop match out of it later.

Andrew Everett vs LaBron Kozone

How far Everett has fallen. He’s a jobber with this lame gimmick of “Andrew the Giant”, he thinks he’s 7 foot 4…but dude’s like 5’8″ in heels. He used to be a decent Cruiserweight but now apparently he’s just a doofus.

LaBron tries to tie him up but Everett flips and cartwheels, tries to goozle LaBron and Labron just smacks him down to Earth. LaBron is taking this match less seriously than I am writing it. LaBron catches the inferior Andrew into a Tit-a-Whirl Back Breaker, Leaping Headbutt Fuiji style and then he just throws him across the ring for fun. LaBron with a nice T-Bone Suplex, and Everett is just getting beaten like he owes LaBron money.

Irish Whip turns Everett inside out and the “Mental Giant” is a crumpled heap. LaBron starts kicking Everett…Back Elbow drops Everett, but LaBron misses the Senton and tries to kick LaBron to make some distance. Takes 27 years trying to do a Lionsault so of course he gets caught, but turns it into a Satellite DDT, 1 count. Stupid jump over the rope by Everett, LaBron feeds into it for no reason so he gets dropped to the floor and the imbecile hits an Asai Moonsault. This match is offensive to watch. There’s no psychology, a dumb comedy gimmick wrapped into yet another enhancement match.

Back from the commercial, Everett hits a Springboard Corkscrew Splash for two. We’re supposed to believe LaBron is selling, until he just decides he’s done doing that, shoots up and cuts off Everett. Now suddenly the offense is slow…but an Avalanche Sky High into Ball Game, and thankfully this awful match is over.

Everett is embarrassingly bad for as long as he’s been wrestling, the psychology was worthless, enhancement matches against dorks don’t matter and LaBron sold off the commercial completely terribly. I think LaBron has a great look and a solid moveset, but this was a match that hurt him.

Priscilla Kelly walks out…and I’m not complaining. I have no clue what she’s gonna say, but at least business picked up. Priscilla talks smack about Zamaya didn’t beat her, she survived her, so Zamaya walks out. I like Zamaya, she’s tiny, intense, and believable with her vicious streak. And yes, she does her face paint very akin to Bull Nakano and Dump Matsumoto, so I’m a fan.

Zamaya vs Priscilla Kelly

Off the commercial, Zamaya is getting rocked, big diving Dropkick from Priscilla, an impromptu match. PK goes for a PK, but Zamaya grabs her and Apron Powerbombs her. Back in the ring, Zamaya is just tossing Priscilla around and a Fisherman’s Suplex sends PK into the corner. Hip Attack from Zamaya, but we get a weird Contra flicker. Zamaya wants the Killa Bomb, but PK gets out, a quick combo, Round Kick to the head and Stomp to the spine for a near fall. PK tries something, Zamaya gets away but PK hits a German Suplex into a V Trigger and another near fall.

Priscilla wants blood, but Zamaya shoves her into a corner, they start trading slaps. Zamaya grabs PK, Death Valley Driver and Zamaya wins.

Like I said earlier, I like Zamaya a lot, and PK has always been hot and pretty good in the ring. No complaints.

CONTRA Mercs vignette, and it’s charming. A little rambly but Shotzi is playing an arcade game or something, LG and Karl talk smack about Damo and Contra…no argument. While I hate the name Contra Mercs, the vignette was solid.

After the Contra beatdown, Austin Aries walks out yet again. Oh he’s on commentary for the Bishop and Riddle match. 

Matt Riddle vs Josh Bishop

The bell rings and Bishop attacks him but Riddle fires back and panders, so Bishop rocks Riddle and then holds him high in a Delayed Suplex before dumping him. Bishop charges but Riddle catches him and Body Scissors him to the outside. Riddle wants a PK and Bishop grabs him and Apron Bombs him. Riddle fires a few Forearms, and then Bishop hits the Back Elbow. Bishop then Chops him, but Riddle no sells and turns it around until Bishop no sells and grabs him, Sack of Shit across the ring, and a two count. Riddle stops a Suplex and counters with one of his own.

They’re both slow to get up, Capture Suplex from Riddle, Snapmare, PK, Broton! Floating Bro incoming! But misses! Bishop hits the Bossman Slam! Only a two count, but a nice slam from Bishop. Last commercial kicks it…and we’re back with Riddle fighting out of a Suplex and cinching in the Guillotine Choke. Bishop rams him into the corner, Throat Chop as he perches Riddle. Superplex from Bishop, Powerbomb, stacks him up…but only two!

Bishop looks for Exit 187, but hits the Bro to Sleep. Dyer and Dijak start walking out, but The Good Brothers attack the Skyscrapers! Bishop tries to grab Riddle, but an RKO into the Floating Bro, Riddle wins!

Damo has a promo where he makes it official that he’s a part of Contra…but…duh? I like Damo, happy for him, but really…a bad match and a Captain Obvious segment when the Contra Mercs promo said it well enough? Yikes.

Overall Score: 4/10

This was a worthless show. A throw together main event, bad enhancement match with a doofus comedy act, and an “impromptu” women’s match. This also only clocked in at 39 minutes and change. So there was plenty of time left for another match. I don’t know if something got cut because of injury or otherwise, but the only reason this wasn’t rated lower is because it was only a waste of 40 minutes. I’ve watched the fourth season of The Witcher, I know egregious wastes of 40-50 minutes, and this was at least not THAT bad.

Positives? Zamaya is cool. Kross versus Kojima does nothing for me and I’m very aware of what Kojima has done, but he’s still not an impressive “legend”. The Contra Mercs vignette was cool, even if the name is still asinine. And…that’s all. I’m a big fan of Big Money Josh Bishop, but that was a rushed match with a distraction nothing finish. So it didn’t make anyone look good.

My consistent issue with MLW, ending the show bad. Stop with the cornball distraction, donnybrook, attack, cliffhanger angle. Just focus on two or three silly segments and at least two decent matches. Do more ridiculous Don Gato stuff with Danny McBride, go full Talk’n’Shop-A-Mania, I don’t care. Just pick a struggle and stop trying to throw 2 hours of carny garbage into a 40 minute bag.
