Andrew’s TNA Impact Results & Match Ratings: 7.16.2026

Xia retained, Ali is not happy with Order 4 and TNA still is in dire need of tag teams. Now I know many people may have seen the statement that they released Sinner & Saint, and I’m not mad at that. They look like garbage, they are every basic independent white boy tag team out there. Nothing marketable, nothing interesting, and they were always billed as jobbers in TNA anyway, so they were beyond hope. Now here’s to hoping we don’t sign some loser duo like Butcher & Blade, because they suck as well.

Yes this sounds like me going, “We need something different, no not that thing…doesn’t count”, but I’ve also been very blunt about my distaste for certain wrestlers and teams. So at least I’m consistent in my disdain. But the KO TV Tournament will continue to hide roster short comings at least.

M by Elegance w/Heather & Personal Concierge vs Rosemary w/Allie

Maggie is gorgeous, so I find myself having no complaints about starting off with this match.

M goes for a Lariat, but misses and Rosemary fakes a Mist attack like a Dilophosaurus because the Concierge is back after two weeks with bandages over his eyes, going full Mr. Magoo. Rosemary works over M early on, a few slams, a submission, but M pulls Rosemary’s hair to break the hold, then Heather trips up Rosemary, allowing M to land a few kicks and a Drive By before staying on top of Rosemary with a variety of Stomps and Kicks. She uses her longer legs and height to a great advantage so far.

Snap Suplex into a pinfall for M, but only a two count. M tries to gather Rosemary but Rosemary flashes with a Cradle, M kicks out, Dropkicks Rosemary and tries to stay on her, but Rosemary stops the charge with the Back Elbow, then Upside Down in the corner, and Rosemary is building momentum. Rosemary looks to fly but the long legs play well, as M hits a Running Boot to kick Rosemary to the floor. M is showboating a little, but Rosemary is unable to take advantage of the delays. A few kicks, a Snapmare into a Headlock…and Rosemary is trying to fire up. Rosemary lays in the Elbows, but M stops the whip with her legs, Back Kick into Running Knee, and another near fall. Maggie continues to kick Rosemary in the face, hits the ropes but Allie trips M, turnabout is fair play. Rosemary ground and pounds, M misses the kick, Shoulder Tackles, Lariats, Slingblade into an Exploder Suplex…and M powders to the apron. M gets Lariated onto the apron, but then hides behind the Concierge.

Heather distracts the referee, Allie goes after Heather, but Maggie had champagne in her mouth, so she Champagne Mists Rosemary and snatches the victory with the cradle.

The match was fine, Elegantos needing to cheat to breathe is getting old, but I’m biased because I really like Maggie.

AJ Francis vs Moose

Expressions walks out to do the introductory manager schtick. Kaz is on commentary, steals popcorn from a fan and has some good chippy stupid comments as Tom tries to berate him.

Moose walks out and as he’s mid entrance, AJ attacks him. Moose dodges the corner Splash, Back to Back Uppercuts, Rope Run Shoulder Blocks, and then knocks AJ off his feet, causing him to powder. So Moose won the Oklahoma Drill, but when he chases AJ, he gets thrashed into steps. Expressions distracts Moose, AJ hits a great Pop-Up Apron Bomb.

Commentary says Expressions is doing a Joel Gertner impression with the neck brace, Kaz says Moose thinks a butt dial and a booty call are the same thing. Kaz’s commentary is…amazing. Tom and Kaz agree, and Kaz short circuits for a minute, because he doesn’t know how to feel with them getting along. It’s short lived.

In the match it’s just slow big boy stuff, AJ hits the Tennessee Whiskey, and it’s slow until AJ tries the Down Payment but Moose Headbutts him. Moose tries the Escalara but AJ hits the TFL. AJ is surprised Moose kicked out, looks for the Moonsault, but Moose cuts him off. They brawl, Okada Dropkick from Moose before plucking off AJ for the Superplex, and AJ kicks out at two. Moose Kips Up, Lariats AJ to the outside, hits a Plancha and fires up but bumps Kaz then slaps the popcorn out of his hands. So Kaz attacks Moose, the match gets thrown out, but Kaz throws Moose to AJ, and AJ picks the bones and leaves Moose laying.

Kaz on commentary was more entertaining than the match itself. This is obviously just leading to something further. Maybe AJ and Kaz being on some heel Lockdown team and Moose being on the babyface side? I don’t know, Kaz can still go so it should be interesting who the feud revolves around.

Ali comes out for a State of the Order Address. He says that he’s the only one that got the memo about winning championships and he’s disappointed in them. Order 4 needs help apparently, someone to whip Tasha, Hotch and Skyler into shape and hold them accountable. Secretary of Strategic Affairs…Mila Moore? Okay so this is how we rebrand Mila since Tessa left. And Mila has this…Miss Hancock/Ms. Tessmacher kinda look…sooo…no arguments. Mila declares “In Ali I Trust” – and Tasha is skeptical. But Ali is obviously preferring Mila over Tasha right now, which is pissing off Tasha. Ali wants to make an International Vote, power to the people…but not the fans people, they’re stupid, the roster gets the right to vote on a number one contender. Ms. Moore in Order 4…Order Moore?

Bear Bronson w/Brian Myers vs Ricky Sosa

Sosa and Bear just throw hands on the bell, Myers is on commentary, says it’s been a while and follows that with; “what happened to Striker and D’lo”? That’s funny for long term fans. In the ring, Bear is still pummeling Sosa with haymakers, until Sosa finally ducks a move and counters the Pop-Up into his own Dropkick. They play a little chicken dodging moves on the outside after Bear powders, but Sosa gets caught in a Blackhole Slam on the floor as we go to commercial.

Back from commercial and they’re slugging it out again, Bear winds up, eats two kicks and a Jumping Knee into a German Suplex. Bang Bang Uppercuts, Rope Run Spanish Fly for a two! Sosa goes to the top rope, but Bear cuts him off, clubs down on Sosa, but Sosa fights back. Collects himself, Gamengiri and an Avalanche Powerbomb into a PK for two! Bear powders, Sosa flies and wipes out Bear. Myers decides to get a “better look” and interferes enough to distract Sosa and delay the Springboard. Bear catches him in a Chokebomb but only two! Clubbing shots and Seated Senton on the back. Bear looking for the Fire/Thunder Driver…but Sosa fights it off, O’Conner Roll, Bear kicks out, Sosa takes out Myers on the apron, wants Blue Thunder Bang, but the back gives out! Shock Treatment into a Fire/Thunder Driver, and Bear wins!

Solid match, and even though there was interference, Sosa can’t be losing these early matches to establish himself. This is bad booking. 50/50 booking does no one any favors, Ricky Sosa is the best signing TNA has made in years, they need to ride the wave instead of being slow and stupid as per usual. 

Moose goes to Elijah to find a friend to take on AJ and Kaz. Elijah agrees.

Harley Hudson vs Thea Hail

While she probably won’t win because they refuse to push Harley and will instead push an NXT person, but I’m a big fan of Harley.

Collar and Elbow tie up, they wrestle around, standing switches, quick Cradle and then they reassess things. So the match is starting off a bit slow. Thea knocks down Harley does her weird little dance and it’s too damn early to continue her offense. Hudson does take down Thea, a few Arm Drags a bit of an ass slap (not joking), and a splash. Harley hits a Wheelbarrow Facebuster and then sits on Thea’s face basically. I do like that Harley’s whole gimmick is being hot and sexy, but it does make writing her matches feel dirty. She hits the nice Sack of Shit into a Key Lock, but Thea fires up, gets out of it, tries to dodge a Lariat into a Backslide or something but screws it up, it’s awkward, then just turns into Harley punching her to move forward. Thea eventually goes for the Backslide Spot, but it’s only a two count, Harley misses the Leg Drop and eats a Knee from Thea.

They start throwing hands, and Thea gets the best of it with a Polish Hammer, Headbutt and Back Elbow into an Exploder Suplex. Harley tries to drop Thea back, Thea goes for a Fujiwara, they struggle a bit more, Three Quarters Neckbreaker from Harley, but only a two count. Thea hits a Swinging DDT as Harley was looking for something, Thea Scoop Power Slam, misses the front flip, Knee Lift from Harley but misses the Guillotine Leg Drop. Thea hits…Boing? Her move is called Boing? That’s dumbest God Damn thing I’ve heard or seen, it’s a Springboard Backsplash. I can’t…that’s worse than the Sparkle Splash.

The match was meh, but Thea’s gimmick is dumb, her weird little dance way too early, the DAD acronym is dumb and Boing is a terrible name for a finish. It’s obvious that she’s supposed to be somewhat chipper and funny, but she looks like some kind of Power Rangers bad guy for 7 years olds. I don’t want to see her go further in this tournament. I’m not far enough on the spectrum to find her endearing. 

Nic says he’s big money and the best wrestler, he’s ready to put the title against any challengers and KC’s music plays. He walks out looking irritated. Nic says “Serious inquiries only”, and cuts off KC a bunch of times. Nic tells him to get out, KC actually listens, stalls a few times…Nic then keeps talking saying whoever comes out has to be a grown up who deserves it. KC finally chirps up as he’s mostly up the ramp. KC gives a heartfelt response about why he still does what he does and the World title would prove all his doubters wrong. KC punctuates things with “He’s here to show the world”, which is a good inside baseball to one of the Dolph Ziggler themes. Nic says he’ll do it, but if KC loses he has to promise to leave him alone and never bother him again. 

X Division Championship: Cedric Alexander (c) vs Fabian Aichner

This is their first singles match in 6 years. I’m hoping Cedric defends because Fabian is…milktoast boring. 

They tie up Fabian pushes Cedric into the corner and the referee calls for the break. Fabian takes things to the ground, Top Wrist Lock, tries to keep Cedric down, but but there’s a bit of back and forth with Cedric getting frustrated as they stare down. Cedric offers the Test of Strength but grabs the Headlock instantly, then a Shoulder Tackle gets buffeted, Suplex slipped, Standing Switch, Fabian catches Cedric mid Leap Frog, Forward Roll Senton into a Moonsault and then Lariats Cedric to the outside as we go to commercial.

Coming back, Abdominal Stretch into Fabian hitting chops, but misses the Springboard Crossbody, Snap German Suplex from Cedric into two big kicks and a near fall. During the commercial Cedric hit an STO and X Plex onto the apron so Fabian’s back and midsection are softened up. Fabian tries to fire back, hits Chops, a Running Boot, then tosses Cedric into the corner, Up and Over, Fabian hits a Springboard DDT causing Cedric to powder. Escalara Crossbody to the outside from Fabian to wipe out Cedric. Triangle Springboard Moonsault from Fabian for another two count! Fabian wanted a Powerbomb, but Cedric switches, wants Lumbar but slips it, rope run but Cedric catches him into a Michinoku Driver for two! Brainbuster next up from Cedric for another two count! Cedric kicks Fabian a few times out of frustration, then hits a few more taunting Chops and Pump Kicks. Cedric talks smack, but Fabian catches the foot, Lariat!

Fabian perches Cedric, Butterfly on the top, but Cedric shoves off, Fabian counters the Flying move with a Dropkick and near fall. Fabian wants the Powerbomb but sells the damage, then bridges out of the pinfall. Fabian hits the Sitout Powerbomb, but too close to the ropes, Cedric gets his foot on the ropes. Eye Gouge, and then Cedric dumps Fabian. Eddie Edwards literally flies in down the ramp, Boston Knee Party and then Eddie hides under the ring. Lumbar Check afterwards and it’s academic.

Honestly…beautiful finish and mostly clean for a heel team. Ricky Sosa makes the save for Fabian, but then the numbers turn on Sosa, so Leon hits the ring. Meh.

Overall Score: 6.25/10

This was very similar to last week, where it’s mostly inoffensive, but also too safe to really care. Sosa losing to Bear is stupid. Wins and Losses only don’t matter when the person is established. You’ve got an international independent guy who’s hot right now, push him, stop with the 50/50 garbage and then throwing him in with two dudes who have no personality. Putting Ricky with Leon and Fabian is embarrassing. Ricky has IT, Leon and Fabian are just dudes who can flip but can’t talk. Do better.

Also yeah, I hate Thea Hail, her gimmick is dumb, her acronym is stupid and her move name is brain damaged. I…miss Gnomie the Clown from last week. Harley should’ve won instead of pushing the paste eater from NXT.

Commentary guests were entertaining, matches weren’t egregious even if some things were stupid, and the main event was pretty damn good. Plus I really liked the KC & Nic promo. So this is another show that’s pretty decent, nothing spectacular, but at least I’m not making out with my shotgun this week.
