Andrew’s TNA Impact! Results & Match Ratings: 7.30.2026

Another big number for TNA, officially joining the 300,000 viewer club after last week’s 307k AMC record. Now I still remember when they were hovering around 1 million in 2010, but this is positive momentum. Even though some of the booking has been super safe or painfully convoluted, last week was the best episode in a while with the Broken Universe match and a great television main event between KC Navarro and Nic Nemeth.

Let’s see how this week’s live show fairs, and if we actually get a real surprise and not Aleister Black or Dexter Lumis. An actual needle mover would be appreciated. Plus, we hopefully get to see Jason Hotch pull off the biggest upset in quite a few years.

Results:

Ricky Sosa & Leon Slater vs Eddie Edwards & Cedric Alexander w/Lish

The crowd does the “Bang Bang Sosa Sosa” and Eddie attacks Ricky mid pander, but Ricky turns it around with a Full Nelson Slam into a Senton, but Eddie shoves him into his corner and Cedric tags in. Yakuza Kick takes out Leon, then they try to double team Ricky, but Ricky Up and Overs, ducks under and a nice Moonsault Crossbody to wipe them both out. Leon tags in and they start rolling, but Leon gets too full of himself during 10 count punches and Cedric counters, Snake Eyes, tags in Eddie, but then Eddie gets slapped around, eats the 10 Count Punch continuation into a Monkey Flip. A little blind tag action from Ricky and Leon, but they dump out the System boys and dual action Dives send us to a commercial break.

Leon and Ricky are keeping the foot on the gas until Lish grabs Ricky’s foot and that allows Cedric and Eddie to change the momentum. Eddie officially tags Cedric back in, as they go for slow and deliberate strikes to keep the Young Savage grounded. More clawing and twisting as Cedric tags out to Eddie and a few of those heavy NOAH chops send Ricky back on his ass. Eddie pulls Ricky to his corner, grapevines the leg and tags in Cedric to leave Ricky wide open. Cedric baits Leon into the ring to distract the referee allowing Lish and Eddie to interfere. Eddie keeps trying for the Brainbuster, but Ricky sandbags and then counters, Cedric thought he stopped Ricky from the tag, but Ricky’s length got there and now Leon flies in and starts beating on Cedric. Yakuza Kick into The Crossover, forces Eddie to break the pinfall. Eddie takes out Ricky, they hit a few locomotion attacks in the corner, but Leon gets away from Eddie, tries to roll up Cedric, but Cedric kicks out. Leon Lariats Eddie to the floor, turns and gets caught into a Michinoku Driver! Near fall, but Cedric starts barking at the Philly fans so Leon tags in Ricky. Springboard Forearm, into a tandem Irish Whip Powerslam. Ricky wants his Headshot, but then we get into a bit of an everyone in. Ricky blind sides Cedric with a Headshot, knocks Eddie off the apron with one, tags in Leon and Swanton 450 wins the match.

A pretty fun match to kick things off, Ricky looked good, the crowd was into it. I’ve been over Leon since he started, but at least its something.

KO TV Tournament: Thea Hail vs Indi Hartwell

Tie up, clean break, and then Thea grabs a Headlock but she’s like a foot shorter than Indi, so that’s a bad idea. Thea does counter a Hip Toss, into a take down and Fujiwara Armbar. Indi gets away from it, slaps Thea to the outside, and gives her space to come back in, as she catches her with a kick and her own Standing Armbar. But Thea counters it, tries a Wheelbarrow but Indi holds her, tries the Hurts Don’t It, but a bit more counter wrestling. Indi wants a Running Bulldog but Thea shoves off, a few strikes and Wrecking Ball Dropkick to Indi’s arm, as Thea continues to stomp and kick the injured limb. Cradle into Backslide, Indi tries an Irish Whip but Thea turns it into a Double Knee Armbreaker and a near fall. Thea grabs a Top Wristlock as Indi slowly gets back up, but the injured arm is being sold well by Indi.

Thea sits down on the shoulder and adds Pete Dunne style joint manipulation, jams the shoulder and tries to snap the fingers. Indi fights through as Thea tries to change the hold, but Indi is fighting back up after being in a submission for about 2 minutes. A few kicks, right arm Lariats, and Indi wants the Spinebuster but Thea goes for a Kimura with the Body Scissors. Indi finally slams Thea down to stop the tenacious submission attempt. Thea tries to get on her, Indi kicks her through the ropes, but Thea climbs back in, Crossbody into a Rolling Senton, misses Boing, and Indi tries a Powerbomb or something, but the arm and Thea fighting stops her, Indi bounces her face off the turnbuckle, catches her and Hurts Don’t It.

Honestly, not a bad match. I’m not a fan of Thea and Indi I enjoy how she looks more than how she wrestlers, but selling the arm was pretty good, the struggle during the Powerbomb made sense because of the damage even if it was a slight botch. Also I liked how they moved with some urgency since the Elayna and Wendy match made the time limit more of a threat.

Back from commercial KC Navarro is in the ring. The crowd isn’t very behind him as he goes through things, it’s a good promo, but it’s Philadelphia. They’re a bunch of losers. The System walks out to cut off KC, and then Cedric tells Leon ain’t no chance he gets a shot. KC interrupts their interruption, says they look more like a bunch of bitches than Gatekeepers, so he gets dogpiled. Leon and Ricky come out with Fabian Aichner. I guess we’re figuring out the Lockdown teams. The System versus the Random Babyface Alliance. 

Knockouts Tag Team Titles: DemonxBunny (c) vs The Elegance Brand

Allie has been looking for Rosemary all day, she said she’d defend alone if necessary and that comes to pass. Allie tries to fight everyone, the Elegantos take her down early, go for their tandem move, but Allie gets the knee up. Allie fights both, the Personal Concierge tries to use a belt, but she tugs him into the ring and then claws his eyes. Mr. Elegance tries to get involved, so Allie starts swinging for the fences to hit everyone with a belt. The referee disqualifies her, I suppose. But she retains…why did this even need to happen?

Insanely dumb, but that should be expected since the Knockouts Tag Belts are the most useless things in wrestling. 

The Hardyz come out in their new reincarnated GOAT forms. Matt is more Version 1 because they brought back “MATTer of Facts” and Antichrist Jeff walks out to Another Me…before going into their classic theme. Matt says The Righteous may be Dead, speaking of Dead, they plug Aimee Garcia’s Walking Dead: Dead City show. Jeff embraces his Enlightened Enigma, they say TNA runs on…Hardy Dust? They’re really trying to get these corny sayings over. Die Hardyz, Hardy Dust…and now they’re saying they made TLC matches famous…but Nic Nemeth’s music plays. The Kaiba Boys come out to reality check the GOATs. As soon as Ryan gets the words out of his mouth to challenge, Matt says DEAL! Santino’s music hits after that. 

Santino gets a pretty solid reaction for Philadelphia. He asks if the crowd wants the Hard Boys to defend at Lockdown, the crowd reacts, so he says it’s done. He tells Ryan to fight Matt next week, Jeff gets a title shot in two weeks, and then Ryan starts flirting with Aimee Garcia in the crowd. Which I don’t blame him, she’s adorable. She tosses her drink in Ryan’s face and then slaps him as she celebrates with the Hard Boys. 

KO TV Tournament: Jody Threat vs Jada Stone

Jody uses the power game against Jada, but Jada tries a surprise Cradle into a Matrix dodge and Front Dropkick for a near fall. Cartwheel Back Elbow is caught and Jody just throws Jada then hammers her in the corner in the dumbest way before a release Northern Lights Suplex. Jada Lariats Jody to the apron, tries a Crossbody but Jody catches her and slams her into the apron, then a Backbreaker. Jada manages a Jaw Jacker into a Tiger Feint, but misses the Hip Attack, Jody charges, Jada kicks her, Split Legged Moonsault lands but only two.

Jada tries to run, but Jody grabs her and they wrestle for position, Pump Kick into Double Knees and German Suplex from Jody. Jody wants Pop Shove It, but Jada with the Elbows, gets out, big Kick into the Handspring and Spark Stunner attempt but Jody stops it. Jada Schoolgirl Roll-up and Jada wins!

TNA International Championship: Mustafa Ali w/Order 4 vs Jason Hotch

Hotch tries to offer the pound, but Ali doesn’t take it and jaws at him. Ali is intense, telling him he doesn’t deserve it and lighting up his chest with Chops. Hotch turns it around but Ali flips away, rope run into Ali with a Headscissors Takedown, quick Kip Ups and Ali stays on him, Dumps him out and a Dive! Ali is super confident. Ali peacocks too long and eats a Tornado DDT off the post, Crossbody for a near fall, but Ali fights back with Chops after he kicks out. Hotch tries a Gamengiri but Ali catches him, kicks his legs out then blows a Kiss to Hotch’s wife. Hotch dodges, hits a Golden Triangle Moonsault and we go to commercial!

Off the commercial, Hotch Superplexes Ali through a table on the outside! The referee starts the count, Ali slides in at 8 shoving Hotch down, but Hotch barely beats the 10 count! They stare down, Hotch runs past Ali doing Back Flips, and Lariats his head off, big Tilt-a-Whirl Backbreaker across his own back! Hotch gets only a two! Hotch goes up top, Splash misses, Ali pulls the referee into the way and Ref bump! Ali with an egregious Low Blow. Then he grabs the belt off Hotches trunks and starts whipping him. Skyler actually takes the weapon from Ali, but Hotch hits Skyler! Ali tries a Dirty Pin, Tasha pushes Ali’s feet off the ropes, Mila and Tasha fight, Jacknife Cover from Hotch, Locomotion Cradles, Ali hits a Gutwrench Piledriver! 450 Splash from Ali, but Hotch turns it into a Pin! Only 2! Ali charges, Hotch moves and Ali eats the buckle! But Ali cuts him off!

Hotch pushes him, Diving Double Stomp to a standing Ali, SPLASH! 1-2-3! HOTCH WINS!

Overall Score: 7.5/10

Okay the score may be slightly inflated because the show ended correctly! Hotch getting the big upset! American SANADA did it! It was a really good match, his wife and daughter being at ringside helped, Tasha and Skyler helping him out, it had plenty of callbacks tot he first meeting, but this was a great payoff! And honestly, aside from the DemonxBunny situation just being odd…every match was pretty good tonight. I blame the DemonxBunny situation on the fact there is no Knockouts Tag Division, so they have to find silly ways to drag stuff out, and if Aleister and Zelina do end up in TNA, then some kind of black magic spooky BS with Allie and Rosemary make too much sense.

I was slightly surprised that the crowd shit on KC Navarro so much though, he was hot in Philly when I saw live a few years ago, but the crowd really didn’t play into his stuff. But the Aimee Garcia stuff was great, she understands how to play in the wrestling space, the Hardys are trying too hard for kitschy things, but they are still the biggest act in TNA and the main thing keeping the lights on. And honestly, they’re still going fairly well, they don’t look totally washed yet. Or…at least Jeff doesn’t.

So yeah, fun show, awesome ending…I…find myself at a loss for complaints. Shocker I know.
