Chris Jericho Says AEW Return Helped Reimagine Babyface Jericho
Chris Jericho — now going simply by “Jericho” — returned to AEW nearly two months ago and says the run has allowed him to rethink his babyface persona. He praised his feud with Ricochet and added that working with Tommaso Ciampa, whom he described as athletic and an excellent heel, helped him realize he hasn’t lost a step and made the comeback genuinely fun.
Jericho noted that having fun is his priority after being absent following last April’s mask vs. title loss to Bandido for the ROH World Heavyweight Championship. His next grudge match with Tommaso Ciampa is set for the July 9 edition of AEW Dynamite.
