El Sky Team captures ROH World Tag Team titles on special Friday night ROH TV

Ring of Honor aired a special Friday episode of ROH TV that featured the ROH World Tag Team Championship match from last Friday’s Arena Mexico show. El Sky Team (Mistico & Mascara Dorada) defeated LFI (Sammy Guevara & The Beast Mortos) to win the ROH Tag Team Championships in a Lucha Libre–style main event that originally took place in Mexico due to Mortos’ visa issues; ROH’s live coverage began at 8 p.m. ET and the promotion noted recent June 22 tapings in Jacksonville with more TV tapings scheduled for July 20.

The broadcast also included several undercard results and backstage segments: Hook submitted Nick Comoroto; Action Andretti pinned Alex Reynolds; Anthony Ogogo stopped Kiran Grey; Hyan & Maya World defeated Robyn Renegade & Trish Adora; Zayda Steel beat Cassie Lee; and BEEF & The Premier Athletes scored a victory. Promos and vignettes highlighted a Lio Rush TV title tease and a challenge from the Premier Beef-letes toward Dalton Castle and The Outrunners, while the Mexico tag showcased Mistico hitting La Mistica on Mortos for the deciding fall.
