Eric Young Confirms He Asked for Release from TNA, Says He’ll “Work Where I Want”
Eric Young took to X Wednesday to address his departure from TNA Wrestling, posting that “the internet is FN WILD!” and laying out three key points: he asked for and was granted his release, he was never on a handshake deal and had a binding contract the entire time, and he will now work where, how and for whom he wants. The 46-year-old emphasized his resume and reputation as proof of his standing and closed the message with a promise that fans will see him soon.
Reports indicate Young is expected to head back to WWE, where he has maintained a strong relationship with Triple H and an open door for a return. Young was previously released by WWE in April 2020, briefly returned in November 2022, and left again in April 2023 amid resistance to working under Vince McMahon after Endeavor’s involvement in the company.
