Jeff Jarrett says relationship with Dixie Carter was “always strained,” urged her to appear on Dark Side of the Ring

Jeff Jarrett told Chris Van Vliet on the Insight Podcast that his relationship with former TNA president Dixie Carter “has always been strained,” while stressing his respect for her and the Carter family’s early investment in the company. Jarrett noted the influential roles of Bob and Janice Carter in TNA’s formative years and acknowledged he treated Dixie with deference given that connection.

Jarrett revealed producers had repeatedly asked Carter to appear on Dark Side of the Ring and that he personally encouraged her to tell her side, but she declined or never followed through. The Season 7 episode focusing on Jarrett and TNA is scheduled to premiere July 7 on Vice TV; Carter served as TNA president for nearly 13 years until 2016.
