Ricochet, Bishop Kaun & Toa Liona only just won these titles last night on Dynamite, but they feel this one’s been a long time coming. Sure, they lost Mile High Madness to Dezmond Xavier, Zachary Wentz & Myron Reed about five MONTHS ago, but they’ve been meaning to get that lick back. Will no one stop The Demand now that they’re reigning together? Or is Detroit about to get lit?

The introductions are made, the belts are raised, and we see if momentum slams on the brakes!

The trios sort out, Ricochet starts against Zach, and the fans already taunt Ricochet with “BALD! BALD! BALD!” The two tie up, Ricochet wrenches, but Zach slips through. Ricochet wrenches, hammerlocks, then snapmares, but Zach is right up. Ricochet sweeps the legs, covers, ONE! Zach sweeps the legs, covers, ONE! Ricochet wrenches, wristlocks, but Zach rolls, kips up, and FLIPS! Then he arm-drags free! Ricochet backs off while the fans cheer. Zach and Ricochet reset, circle, then Ricochet KNEES Low! Oh, Roddy did that, too. Kyle can’t believe them! So did he! Well then, that means, they might all have to… Kyle says don’t worry about that. The three of them were also nominated for the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, which they will do live tonight on Collision! The only decision now is who pours water on who? Cassidy on Kyle, Kyle on Roddy, Roddy on…? Cassidy says don’t worry, they can just move on to nominating others.

Roddy is going with “BAAANE!” Tom Hardy. Cassidy was gonna go with “Dominic Turetto,” Vin Diesel. Aw, Kyle was gonna go with that. Cassidy says okay, then he’ll go with… Lexy! Uh, oh, sure! ALS Ice Bucket Challenge is back, who would you nominate to help fight for the cure?

AEW explains The Continental Cup.

The Continental Championship will be held in abeyance during this new tournament, where the winner gets the title and a trophy, all culminating at Wembley! And wilder than that, every round of the tournament is drawn at random! You never know who you’re facing until it’s time! The tournament’s opening round of 16 starts next Saturday, who proves they are ready to go all in?

The fans are fired up but the ref reprimands! Ciampa stops, but brings the kneepad down! PSYCHO KNEE!! Cover, Ciampa wins!

“I know I said a few weeks ago that now I was gonna have to find something else to do. And uh, what happened last night was absolutely not what I expected.” Speaking of, Brody King steps in. They shake hands, and Brody says last night, as he was about to take off, Bandido had already split but Brody saw what was happening to The Conglomeration and he couldn’t let that slide. But he appreciates Hangman having his back. And someone else wants to thank him, too. Bandido steps in and shakes hands with Hangman. Bandido thanks Hangman for having his amigo’s back.

Hangman says no problem. He’s been trying to figure out what to do with himself, the answer hasn’t been clear, but hey, this might be crazy… But they are in Mexico City next week, and Hangman can’t think of anything better than challenging for the trios titles alongside #BRODIDO. Bandido says y’know what? He has an idea! They are Lo Bueno, lo Malo y Lo Feo. Hangman chuckles, but Brody doesn’t know that much Espanol so he asks for a translation. The Good, The Bad & The Ugly. Well, okay. But who is Ugly? Hangman and Bandido look at him, then at each other. Then they just walk away. Hey, wait, which one…?

Alex Windsor & Jamie Hayter heard the challenge thrown out by The Fallen Goddess and her Minions, so they said bet! They’re bringing Hayter’s old nakama (companion/teammate) to the party, but will they make it through this Collision? Or will The Forever ROH Women’s World Champion, Minion 400,237.75 & The Cuban Diamond prove they should be in the mix on AEW?

The trios sort out and Athena starts against Hayter. The fans rally as the two circle. They tie up, go around, and Hayter headlocks for the takeover. Athena headscissors, Hayter kips free, but Athena headlocks. Diamante tags in, MIT mugs Hayter, and Diamante ELBOW BREAKERS again and again! Diamante arm-drags but Hayter fights up to headlock back. Ricochet laughs as he hears Hangman Page, Bandido & Brody King are talking. Who in the blue hell do they think they are? Who?! The Lethal Twist helps Ricochet to his feet, and he asks who Hangman thinks he is to demand anything from The Demand? But seeing as they like to stick their noses into The Demand’s business, seems they have no other option but to accept this little challenge and put these boys DOWN! And Lethal says speaking of, he heard their boy, Komander, has big dreams of wrestling at Grand Slam: Mexico! Well after tonight’s match, Lethal will not only crush Komander, but he’ll crush those dreams, too! AHA~!

The teams sort out and the fans chant “GUNS UP! GUNS UP!” as Austin Gunn starts against Yuta. Yuta and Austin circle, the fans cheer Austin and taunt Yuta. They tie up, Austin waistlocks, but Yuta wrenches to a wristlock. Austin spins through, wrenches, and wristlocks. Yuta fight sup, spins, and ROCKS Austin! And ROCKS him again! Yuta taunts the fans, runs up, but Austin goes up, over, ducks ‘n’ dodges, then he trips Yuta up! The fans fire up as Austin JABS, JABS, JABS! Yuta tags Pac, they stomp away on Ace, but the ref counts. Yuta backs off, Pac tells The Gunns to “SUCK IT!” The ref keeps The Gunns from rushing in, and Pac goes back to Ace. Pac stomps Ace, stomps him again, then CHOKES him at the ropes! The ref counts again, Pac backs off, and Pac soaks up the heat from Detroit. Tag to Yuta and they mug Ace again. Yuta wrangles Ace, facelocks, and Collision returns to single picture. The fans still chant, “GUNS UP!” as Ace endures. Ace fights up, up, and he lifts Yuta! And you can never be at your best until you break free from The Don Callis Family.

So in Mexico, Bailey wants Kyle to do this on his own, to beat him decisively. Kyle says how’s about this for on his own? And he BOOTS Bailey down! Guess there wasn’t a No Physicality Agreement in place… Kyle continues to shout at Bailey that he’ll see what he can do on his own as he shoves Bailey through the double doors, then goes to gorilla! They tie up, Lethal powers Komander to a corner but the fans cheer “Lucha! Lucha!”

The ref counts, Lethal backs off, but Komander blocks the cheap shot to KICK! He blocks another shot to KICK! Then CHOP! Lethal kicks low, whips, but Komander Quebradas up and over! Komander keeps moving, and he wheelbarrow arm-drags! Komander wrenches, Lethal wrenches, but Komander tilt-o-whirls, only for Lethal to dump him down! Lethal has the legs, “WOO~!” But Komander turns Figure Four into cradle! TWO, and Lethal runs into a BOOT! Komander goes up, BOOTS again, then goes to the very top! Spin and FLYING ARM-DRAG! The fans fire up while Lethal bails out, but Komander just goes back tot he corner!

Komander hurries to run the tightrope, but Lethal slides in! Komander hops down, blocks a shot and ROCKS Lethal! Komander springboards to cartwheel and RANA Lethal outta the ring! The fans fire up as Komander resets, builds speed, and ESCALARA MOONSAULTS! Down goes Lethal and the fans fire up! Komander stands tall while Collision goes picture in picture!

Komander high-fives fans, brings Lethal up and into the ring, but Lethal slips out the side. Komander pursues, brings Lethal around, but Lethal POSTS him! Komander falls in a heap while the ring count climbs. Lethal leaves Komander behind as the count reaches 5 of 10, but Komander rises up. Komander slides in, Lethal is on him with fists! The ref reprimands so Lethal brings Komander up. Lethal whips Komander to a corner, then CHOPS! Komander flounders around, Lethal shows off the hand that did it, and he brings Komander back up. Collision returns as Komander KICKS, KICKS, and BOOTS! Then SUPERKICKS to the back! The fans fire up with Komander, and he 619s Lethal in the stomach! Then a springboard CROSSBODY! Cover, TWO! The fans rally behind Komander as he stalks Lethal to a corner. Komander CHOPS, whips, but Lethal reverses. Komander goes up, up, and leaps over! Komander manages to handspring through, but Lethal BOOTS him! And ENZIGIRIS! Komander staggers, but he fires back up! Only for the LETHAL COMBINATION to hit! Moxley of course joins commentary to watch “two of his guys” fight it out, even though he knows Ospreay doesn’t think of them as allies anymore. Garcia is already fired up as he steps into the ring, and he tells Ospreay to bring it. But then the bell rings and Garcia dodges Ospreay to slide outside! The fans boo Garcia trying to troll Ospreay, but Ospreay waits on Garcia. Garcia takes his time, Ospreay gives chase, and they slide back in! Ospreay avoids the stomp the bring Garcia out, but the cat ‘n’ mouse game continues! Garcia hurries right back out but the fans boo again. Ospreay rushes out, but Garcia rolls in!

Garcia rolls out as Ospreay rolls in, and the fans say Garcia is chicken! Garcia taunts Ospreay, Ospreay fakes Garcia out, and Garcia is now caught! Ospreay CHOPS him down! And CHOPS again! Garcia drags Ospreay up, and whips him hard into more railing! Garcia makes Ospreay sit in the corner and he rains down fists! The fans give thumbs down as Garcia goes to nine, puts up his dukes, and then doesn’t dance! The ref reprimands, but Ospreay CHOPS! And CHOPS! Garcia puts Ospreay in the ring, then stalks Ospreay. Garcia snapmares Ospreay, runs the ropes, and SLIDING FOREARMS! Cover, TWO!

Garcia sits up, HIDDEN- NO, Garcia snatches Ospreay into a takedown, and DRAGON TAMER!! The fans boo but Moxley says that’s beautiful. Ospreay reaches out, but Garcia floats to have the head! Garcia rolls Ospreay away from ropes for the BULLY CHOKE! But Ospreay fights up, up, and he RAMS Garcia into the corner!

Garcia runs up, but Ospreay spins him! STORM- NO, Garcia slips free to a SLEEPER! Ospreay throws Garcia away, catches him to a nelson, but Garcia ELBOWS! Ospreay HOOK KICKS! The fans boo as Rocky Romero & Trent Beretta help beat Ospreay down! Davis hits a PILEDRIVER on the floor!

Moxley is as upset as anyone, but Davis & RPG Vice DUMP Ospreay back to ringside! They put Ospreay in the ring, the fans cuss out Callis, but Davis gets a mic and a chair! RPG Vice holds Ospreay up and Davis JAMS him up! And JAMS him up! Moxley says he can’t watch this, he’s gonna leave Ospreay to the consequences of his own actions. Davis even taunts Ospreay that there is no one coming to save him! The fans boo, but then Ospreay fights free! He grabs the chair, and the DCF goes running! Ospreay takes a seat in that chair as he stands tall tonight. Will he be able to do the same in Mexico, and all along the road to All In?

My Thoughts:

A great Collision to keep things going from last night, but they really jammed a lot in here because it also had to be the go-home to Grand Slam: Mexico, which just kinda snuck up on everyone it seems. Great brawl with Bailey and Kyle to hype up their match, but Bailey running Kyle off fits the math because Kyle’s obviously retaining the title. Good promo from Knight to set up that star-studded Six Man Tag, and like, Mistico-Jericho-Darby is going to win, right? Hechicero can take the loss for DCF, and we’ve gotta see Darby and Knight set up one more match for the TNT Championship at All In.

Motor City Machine Guns being here is great, and honestly I wondered if we’d get that last night. WWE may have given MCMG their tag titles quickly, but after that was a fumble, and now MCMG is here now. Though, sadly, I feel like they’re just gonna go the way of The Rascalz. The Rascalz came in hot, it was a lot of fun, but look at them putting on a great match only to lose. I would’ve loved The Rascalz winning against The Demand with The Conglomeration getting some payback for last night, but no, because it would’ve been sad to have a 24-hour trios championship reign.

And as I predicted, Hangman & BRODIDO are going for the trios gold as a formality because the midcard titles are earmarked for things. Good promo from The Good, The Bad & The Ugly, but I can’t be sure the chances of them winning. There’s still space for the midcard titles at All In, and now that we’re getting the Continental Cup for the hell of it, maybe Hangman gets in that last minute? Great stuff from Conglomeration to help plug the Cup, but also the fight against ALS. Nigel also wanting in is wild, can’t wait to see who else is in this tournament.

Very good promo from Ciampa to enter himself in the Casino Gauntlet, and after a great match from Komander VS Lethal, making a Triple Threat for the number one spot is great stuff, because then it feels just like the Casino Gauntlet itself, where it’s first to score a fall, no matter who else is in the match. Kris Statlander of course beat her opponent tonight, and as I also predicted, Kris VS Perse is set for Arena Mexico. Maybe Perse cheats to win, I don’t see her taking a loss and owing Kris a shot at the CMLL Women’s title. Great Six Woman Tag, great win for the Faces, but of course all the Heels beat them up after. Maya World is now TBS Champion, so I guess Hazuki is the pivot to a challenger to Athena for her ROH title?

Great 8 Man Tag from Bang Bang Gang VS Death Riders, and what a great win for Bang Bang Gang. I figured Dogs would attack them after, and maybe MCMG join Bang Bang Gang in having a huge 5v5 since we don’t have Jay White, again. And awesome main event from Ospreay VS Garcia with Ospreay of course finding a way to win. I have mixed feelings on Ospreay thwarting Davis & RPG Vice by himself. The fans liked it, but there does need to be a moment where Ospreay is feeling overwhelmed, to where he might actually consider asking Hangman for some help.
