The Peacock & Youngest Men Alive have been feeling good ever since winning these titles, but now they’re starting to feel what it is to have a target on their backs. “Smart” Mark Sterling interrupts the introductions so that he can say everyone already knows The Premier Athletes: The greatest Iranian wrestler in the history of the business, Ariya Daivari; the man with the most consistent physique in wrestling, Tony Nese; the D1 Athlete, Stori Denali; and… Beef. The fans cheer Beef, but Sterling says Beef picked the perfect time to ride their coattails, because tonight, The Premier Athletes put their first ROH titles around their waists!

Daivari & Nese already decided, they’ll carry Beef’s title, because it probably won’t fit. And it wouldn’t fit around any of the fans’ waists, either! So listen up! When he says, “Athletes,” you say, “Rule,” and nothing else! Ohh… “ATHLETES!” “SUCK!” With that, the champions make their entrance! Bobby Cruise makes these introductions, then the belts are raised, and we see if truly, the belt stays on!

The trios sort out and Truth Magnum starts against Nese. The Code of Honor is upheld, the bell rings, and the fans rally as the two circle. But then Nese says hold on, it’s gonna be a long night, and he knows the fans wanna see it. Nese kneels to flex, but the fans boo. Nese says they’re jealous! Truth says no, the fans came for this! Truth flexes, the fans cheer, and Nese says they’re just patronizing him! The two circle, feel things out, and tie up. Nese powers Truth to a corner, but he backs off at 4, to then RAM low! Nese whips, Truth goes up and over, then ducks ‘n’ dodges! Then a tilt-o-whirl RANA! The fans cheer while Nese flounders.

Tag to Castle, they whip Nese and wrench to BOOT! Castle scoops Nese, SLAMS him, then they run, DOUBLE SPLASH! The fans cheer, Castle covers, TWO! Sterling protests, but Castle drags Nese up. Tag to Turbo Floyd, but Nese CLAWS Castle’s eyes! Tag out to Beef! The fans cheer Beef on, he and Turbo circle. They tie up, Turbo headlocks, but Beef powers up and out. They RAM shoulders, and Beef just fires up! Beef runs, RAMS Turbo, but Turbo runs to LARIAT! Beef is still standing! The fans cheer Beef as he runs and LARIATS! They both flex, then Turbo LARIATS! Beef LARIATS! Repeat!

The fans rally as the LARIATS go back and forth, again and again! Turbo ROCKS Beef, runs the ropes, but Beef cartwheels to dodge and DROPKICK! The fans fire up for Beef, he wrenches Turbo, then Daivari demands a tag. Beef obliges, the fans boo, but Daivari takes the handoff to wrench and YANK the arm. And YANK the arm again! And again! Daivari tells Beef that’s how it’s done, but Turbo short arm LARIATS! The fans cheer as Turbo tags Truth. They whip, BODY BLOW, KNEE LIFT, and then BIG back suplex! The Outrunners both flex and the fans cheer. Truth covers, TWO! Daivari toughs it out but Truth brings him up.

Truth whips, Daivari reverses, Nese gets a cheap shot! The fans boo, Truth takes a swing, but Nese traps him! Daivari runs up and stomps away on Truth! The fans boo but the Athletes get away with that. “ATHLETES!” “SUCK!” The fans still aren’t cooperating, but Daivari tags Beef. They mug Truth, then Beef scoops to SLAM! Beef brings Turbo up, bumps him off buckles, then tags Nese. Nese fires body shots on Truth, then tags Daivari so that they can mug Truth! The fans boo, the ref counts, but The Athletes stop at 4. “ATHLETES!” “SUCK!” Daivari drags Truth up, brings him around, and NECKBREAKER! Cover, TWO!

The fans cheer as Truth toughs it out, but Daivari CLUBS him down! Daivari drags Truth back, tag to Beef, and Beef AX HANDLES Truth down. Beef stays between Truth and his team, snapmares, then clamps on a chinlock. The fans rally as Truth endures, fights up, and fires body shots. Beef KNEES low, scoops, and SIDEWALK SLAMS! Cover, TWO! Truth survives, but Nese tells Beef to go after the corner. Beef obeys as he BLASTS Castle and Turbo off the apron! Beef then covers Truth again, TWO! Beef keeps on Truth, but Sterling distracts the ref? Because Stori slides one of the title belts into the ring!

Beef is confused, but Nese & Daivari say use it! The fans say no, and Beef does the right thing. But then Truth BACKDROPS Beef! Sterling says Beef’s an idiot! Beef and Truth crawl, hot tags to Nese and Turbo! The fans fire up as Turbo rallies with haymaker after haymaker! Then a scoop SLAM for Daivari! Scoop SLAM for Nese! Scoop SLAM for Daivari! And scoop SLA- No, Beef saves Nese! And he CLOBBERS Turbo! Nese & Daivari get Turbo up, double whip him to the corner, then Beef sends Daivari in for a LARIAT!

Beef sends Nese in for a LARIAT! Then Beef adds a SPLASH! Nese & Daivari set Turbo back up, Beef CROSSBODIES! Cover, TWO! Turbo survives and The Athletes are frustrated. Beef bumps Turbo off buckles, Daivari tags in, and Daivari stomps Turbo. Daivari snapmares Turbo, clamps on a chinlock, and  he grinds Turbo down. Turbo endures, even as Daivari leans on the hold. The fans chant “Athletes Suck! Athletes Suck!” Turbo fights up, fires body shots, then runs, but into a JUMP KNEE! Daivari tags Nese, Nese pie faces Turbo around and talks trash. Turbo snarls as Nese slaps him around. Turbo ROCKS Nese!

Turbo fires haymakers, but Daivari storms in! Turbo DECKS Daivari! Nese SUPERKICKS Turbo! Turbo rebounds to LARIAT! The fans fire up while both men are down! Castle shouts to Turbo and the fans fire up! Nese and Turbo crawl, hot tags to Beef and Castle! Castle ROCKS Beef again and again, then whips. Beef reverses, Castle ducks ‘n’ dodges to LARIAT! The fans fire up, Daivari runs in, but Castle blocks to ELBOW! Nese runs in, but into an EXPLODER! Beef waistlocks, Castle switches, and Castle GERMAN SUPLEXES! The fans fire up as The Outrunners join in. They get Beef in place, then wind it up! But Nese & Daivari attack!

The fans boo but The Athletes TOSS The Outrunners! They stand castle up, Daivari runs, but Castle slips free! SHOULDER TACKLE on Nese! Castle lifts Daivari, but Beef makes another save! Beef runs up, but Castle dodges again, Beef CLOBBERS Daivari! Sterling is upset with Beef again, Beef apologizes, but Turbo scoops! Truth runs in, TOTAL RECALL! And then they wind it up again! “Turbo Floyd, YOU SONOVABISH!” TRIPLE ELBOW DROP! Cover, Castle & Outrunners win!

A shortage of love, maybe. But a shortage of adrenaline? Never! Ian Riccaboni hurries to the ring to interview the champions, and he congratulates them on the win, undefeated and running hot! Truth says, “If you’re anything like me, and I know I am, you know that nothing, NOTHING, succeeds like success! Tell ’em, Turb!” Turbo tells “Ricky Bonnie” that he’s happy to see him. But someone out there is jealous they can’t feel the steel, tickle the nickel, or enjoy the alloy! Not like the Outrunners & Castle do! Dalton, hit ’em with something sweet! Castle says what more can they give the people than what they just spread all over the ring?

The fact is, these two and him, that’s three, and these three are the greatest trio to ever step foot in the ring. Undefeated! But Riccaboni says yes, No Shortage of Love, hit music video, but uh, there’s one other undefeated trio: The Lethal Twist. Castle says now you gone and upset the tummy. When you bring up three men like Lethal Twist, he just gets so irate! Turbo says if Lethal Twist thinks for one second that they can get this belt off his waist, good luck! Not even Turbo can! The belt stays on! He is a well-oiled machine, a rock monster, and Truth here, he can’t be stopped! Because if you haven’t seen Castle & The Outrunners, you haven’t seen nothing yet!

The Peacock and friends are red hot and they don’t look to cool off any time soon! Will they be too much for Jay Lethal, Blake Christian & Lee Johnson? Or will The Franchise & The Swirl put the gold on ice?

AR Fox speaks.

“Last time I was here, I was champion. Last time I was here, I was crying… over a title I don’t even have anymore.” But then Alan Angels steps in and says, “Oh boo hoo, boo hoo, I’m AR Fox and I lost my little ROH (World Television) Championship. Man, you’re just like everybody else in the wrestling business. Nothing’s ever good enough for you.” Fox asks where this is even coming from. Angels says ten years ago, Fox was training him, sold him the dream of pro-wrestling, of super stardom. Fox says yeah, and Angels is doing good. But Angels says Fox didn’t really care. He took all his students on the road, but not Angels. Fox didn’t believe in Angels!

But that’s fine. Because Angels did it by himself. He got signed to AEW before they even knew who Fox was! Yeah, but he don’t go here no more, huh? Angels says no, but he’s back because he doesn’t let opportunities just come to him, he takes them! He’s taking one right now! He challenges Fox to a match! Fox says okay, bet. Angels says it won’t be student VS teacher, it’s equal VS equal. Angels goes to leave but Fox turns him around. Fox stares Angels down, then steps to him, and Angels flinches. Fox says that’s what he thought. But will the former teacher have one last lesson to teach Angels?

The Code of Honor is not upheld as Angels kicks Fox’s hand away. The fans boo but the bell rings, and the two circle. They tie up, Fox headlocks and hits a takeover. Fox then traps an arm, rolls, ghost pins, but Angels slips free to step over and La Magistrol. Fox slips through, returns the favor, TWO! Angels hurries away to the apron and the fans cheer Fox. Fox eggs Angels on but Angels takes his time stepping in. The fans duel as the two circle, tie up, and Fox wrenches to wristlock. Angels spins, wrenches, and wristlocks back. Fox rolls, kips up, and cartwheels to wrench and wristlock back. The fans cheer but Angels uses the ropes to flip through.

Angels wrenches, arm-drags, then sidesteps to scoop, but Fox tilt-o-whirls through. Fox waistlocks, Angels switches, but Fox bucks the O’Conner. Angels ducks a haymaker, Fox jumps the sweep, but Angels reaches up to victory roll, TWO! Angels dodges, rolls, then dodges again to RANA! Fox staggers to his feet, Angels RUNS him over! Angels mocks the fist bump, then scuffs Fox. Angels runs, QUEBRADA, but Fox gets under! Things keep moving, Angels sidesteps, drops down, then DROPKICKS! The fans are torn but Angels covers Fox, ONE! Angels taunts “Foxy,” then drags him up. Angels underhooks but Fox wrenches free.

Fox knuckle locks, kicks, and CHOPS! The fans fire up for Fox, he CHOPS again, then winds up to CHOP again! The fans cheer, Fox goes up the corner, then jumps around, only for Angels to shove him down! Fox lands safe on the apron, he blocks a shot, and he SLAPS Angels! Fox runs Angels side to side, Angels blocks the buckle bump, but Fox BODY SHOTS! Fox then slingshots up and over to arm-drag! Then he BOOTS Angels, goes up, and jumps the sweep to FLYING ARM-DRAG! Then CALF KICK! The fans fire up with Fox and he goes to Angels in the corner. Fox stands Angels up, BOOTS him, then whips corner to corner.

Angels reverses but Fox goes up. Angels catches Fox, but Fox mule kicks free! Fox then jumps and STUNNERS! Fox reels Angels in, suplexes, ANARCHY! Cover, TWO! Angels is tougher than that but the fans rally up. Angels goes to the corner, Fox runs in, but Angels BOOTS him! Angels runs up, but Fox goes Matrix! Angels stops the stunner this time, then he goes Matrix to QUEBRADA! The fans are torn but Angels flexes before he rains down fists! The ref reprimands about the closed fists, but Angels kicks Fox around. Angels drags Fox up, DECKS him, then storms around. The fans rally for Fox but Angels CHOPS him!

Fox is stinging as he goes to a corner, but Angels CHOPS him again! Fox slumps against the ropes, but he blocks the whip. Angels CHOPS, then brings Fox around to NECKBREAKER! Cover, ONE!! Fox is still toughing it out but Angels taunts Fox. Angels scuffs Fox, Fox BODY BLOWS, then BODY BLOWS again! Fox ROCKS Angels, whips him to the corner, but Angels puts him on the apron. Fox ROCKS Angels again, but Angels DROPKICKS the legs out! Angels then goes up, out, and DOUBLE STOMPS Fox on the back! Angels slingshots, builds speed, and DIVES! Down goes Fox and the fans are torn as Angels stands tall.

Angels drags Fox up, brings him over, and goes for the apron. Fox blocks, blocks again, and blocks again! Fox BODY SHOTS, then whips Angels. Angels reverses, but Fox tiger feint kicks! The fans rally but Angels grabs legs. Fox kicks free, Angels hurries back up, but ends up in the REBOUND DDT! Angels flops down and the fans rally up again. Fox sees Angels on the apron, and basement SUPERKICKS! Fox then runs, returns, and SLINGSHOT STOMPS! Angels sputters, falls to the floor, and Fox lines up another shot. CANNONBALL to the floor! The fans fire up while both men are down, but Fox gets back up and puts Angels in.

Angels runs up, Fox BOOTS him, and Angels goes to a corner. Fox ELBOWS, then DRAPING DDTS! Roll through and cravat, but Angels waistlocks. Fox switches, pump handles and flips Angels, to then RIPCORD CUTTER! Cover, TWO! Angels survives but Fox goes up, up, and SWANTON BOMBS! Cover, TWO! Angels survives and shocks Fox! The fans still rally for Fox, and Fox nods. Angels anchors a foot, Fox stomps and KICKS Angels off, then goes to the corner. But Angels hurries after and anchors a leg. Fox CLUBS Angels, ROCKS him, then trips Angels up. Fox then climbs, aims, and 450- NO, Fox has to roll through as Angels moves!

Angels bobs ‘n’ weaves, fires fast hands and a SOBAT! Angels whips, Fox reverses, but Angels rebounds and slips around, SNAP HALF ‘N’ HALF! Then a HEEL KICK! Cover, TWO!! Fox survives and shocks Angels! The fans fire up again, but Angels snarls. Angels shouts, “You think you’re the teacher? You think you’re the trainer? YOU SUCK!” Angels drags Fox, underhooks, but Fox fights the lift! Angels CLUBS Fox down, underhooks again, but Fox powers up, BACKDROP! Bridging cover, TWO as Angels bridges up! They spin, Angels BOOTS Fox away, but Fox kips up to ENZIGIRI! The fans fire up and Fox is feeling it!

Fox runs up, but into a HEEL KICK! Fox wobbles, Angels goes up, but Fox hurries after Angels! ARABIAN PRESS FLY, then the 450 SPLASH! Cover, Fox wins!

We travel back to last Friday again as we see El Sky Team once again defend these titles in Arena Mexico! But will they still reign over ROH? Or will the CMLL World Tag Team Champions and NJPW Strong Tag Team Champions, Angel del Oro y Angel del Plata, celebrate 20 YEARS in the business by becoming triple champions?

The introductions are made, the photo op with the belts is taken, and we see who are truly the best of the best!

The teams sort out, and then the teams realize, this is very Spider-Man meme! Mistico is in silver, Dorada is of course in gold, but then duh, so are Plata and Oro! The fans cheer, then Oro takes a swing on Dorada! Dorada dodges, but then Plata SUPERKICKS Dorada and Mistico SUPERKICKS Oro! Then Mistico and Plata compare their gear. Mistico runs up, Plata dodges and waistlocks to SLAM Mistico, but Mistico kips up to arm-drag! Plata sweeps the legs, but Mistico reaches up to headscissor! Plata RUNS Mistico over, things speed up, Mistico hurdles then drops down, but Plata leaps over! Mistico applauds and the fans fire up.

Things keep moving, Mistico BACK ELBOWS, covers, ONE! Plata sweeps and covers, ONE! The two stand off and the fans cheer. Mistico blocks a chop, CHOPS back, and goes up, up, and FLYING ARM-DRAGS Plata! The fans fire up, Mistico is feeling it, but as Plata bails out, Oro runs in! Oro whips Mistico to the corner, Mistico BOOTS Oro, and Dorada springboards to CROSSBODY! Now Dorada is legal as things speed up! Oro hurdles, Dorada flips over, but Dorada wrenches and whips. Oro goes up and over, then keeps moving. Dorada dodges the handspring to handspring back Oro dodges that! Dorada keeps moving, and he FLIPPING RANAS!

The fans fire up as Oro bails out, but here comes Plata! Dorada dodges, RAMS, and runs, but Plata somersaults and RANAS! Mistico is back to tilt-o-whirl RANA! The fans fire up as Plata bails out, and El Sky Team coordinates. They build speed and DOUBLE DIVE, sending Los Hermanos Chavez into barriers! The fans fire up, a ring count starts, and El Sky Team wants to go again. They build speed, but Los Hermanos Chavez get in the ring and DOUBLE DROPKICK! El Sky Team bails out, and Los Hermanos DOUBLE DIVE! They return the favor, sending Mistico & Dorada into barriers!

The fans rally and duel, and Oro puts Mistico in. Oro y Plata drag Mistico up, whip him corner to corner, then run up. Mistico puts Oro on the apron, but Plata LARIATS! Then he SLAMS Mistico down for Oro to slingshot SENTON! Then they DOUBLE SUPERKICK! Mistico tumbles out, Dorada runs in, but Oro blocks the kick! Plata KICKS Dorada’s leg! Fans boo but Los Hermanos double whip, pop-up and KICK! Then they TOSS Dorada out! Los Hermanos Chavez soak up the cheers and jeers, then Plata goes to the ropes. Dorada GAMANGIRIS Plata, then Dorada gives Mistico the boost to FLYING RANA Oro!

The fans fire up, Mistico dodges Plata and Dorada springboards to FLYING ARM-DRAG! Los Hermanos both bail out, and Dorada TORNILLOS onto Oro! Mistico TORNILLOS onto Plata! The fans are thunderous for El Sky Team, and Dorada puts Oro in the ring. Dorada eggs Oro on, they run up, and Dorada leaps over! Oro comes back, Dorada leaps up and over to handspring then RANA! The fans fire up but Plata storms in! Dorada blocks a shot to cording hold, then he mule kicks Oro. Dorada uses Plata to get up, and he RANA ARM-DRAG COMBOS! Then Dorada puts Plata up top, GAMANGIRIS, then he dodges Oro!

Dorada runs up, Oro pops him up, but that lets Dorada go up to the top rope! Dorada backflips to ARM-DRAG Oro! Then he dodges Plata, tilt-o-whirls and RANAS! The fans fire up for Dorada again and he builds speed, but Plata runs away. The fans boo but Mistico says time out, they gotta check Dorada. Dorada does seem a bit woozy, but he doesn’t seem concussed. Mistico still tags in the old fashioned way to give Dorada a break. The fans cheer Mistico on, then things speed up. Oro drops down, but Plata gets a cheap shot in! The fans boo as now Los Hermanos mug Mistico! Plata even lifts his mask to better insult the fans.

Oro y Plata get Mistico up, double whip, but Mistico ducks ‘n’ dodges and handsprings! Mistico dodges Los Hermanos, shoves Oro into Plata, then dodges again! Plata puts Mistico on the apron but Mistico GAMANGIRIS! Mistico springboards to FLYING RANA Oro! Then he dodges Plata, runs up, and tilt-o-whirl RANAS! Oro runs up, Mistico dodges, and another tilt-o-whirl RANA! The fans cheer as Oro bails out, and Mistico builds speed. He fakes Oro out to then FLYING RANA! And Dorada uses the corner to swing and RANA Plata! The fans are thunderous again as El Sky Team puts Oro in, Mistico covers, TWO!

The fans rally as Mistico whips, but Oro reverses. Oro runs up, but Mistico BOOTS him, runs up, and CODE RED! Cover, but Plata KICKS Mistico! The fans boo, Plata hushes them, and he drags Mistico up. Plata wrenches, chicken wings, and FACEBUSTER! Cover, Dorada SUPERKICKS it apart! The fans cheer and Dorada brings Plata up. Dorada ducks a kick, Electric Chair Lifts, and flips Plata into the NECKBREAKER! Cover, but now Oro breaks it! Oro hushes the fans, whips Dorada, but Dorada BOOTS back! Dorada runs up, but Oro scoops! MICHINOKU DRIVER! Cover, Mistico breaks it! The fans rally up as the teams regroup.

Dorada snapmares Oro into a drop zone, Mistico WASTELAND SLAMS Plata into the other. They go up, up, but Oro springs up to trip Dorada! Plata does the same to Mistico! Then Los Hermanos DOUBLE DROPKICK! Double cover, TWO!! El Sky Team survives and the fans rally up harder! Plata drags Dorada into a drop zone, Oro has Mistico in the other, and they each climb. But El Sky Team gets up to GAMANGIRI! Then then springboard and DOUBLE SUPER STEINERS! Double cover, TWO!! Los Hermanos survive but the fans stay fired up with El Sky Team. El Sky Team whips Plata into Oro but Oro pops him up.

Dorada runs up, Oro pops him up to Plata! Oro then catches Mistico, wrench and scoop, MICHINOKU DRIVER on Mistico! Then Plata lifts Dorada with the chicken wings! SUPER FACEBUSTER onto Mistico! Another double cover, TWO!!! El Sky Team survives again and Los Hermanos can’t believe it! The fans are thunderous as Mistico and Plata step up. They fire forearms back and forth! Plata fires a flurry, but Mistico says look up! SOBAT! Then he runs, but into an UPPERCUT! Plata runs, but Mistico puts him on the apron! GAMANGIRI! Dorada runs up, Mistico gives him the boost, FLYING RANA to the floor!

Mistico then springboards to CROSSBODY Oro! And he just keeps moving! LA MYSTICA! And the FUJIWARA ARMBAR! Oro TAPS, El Sky Team wins!

He’s one of the best tag team wrestlers on the planet! There is no one else who has ever held a title three times, consecutively, without ever losing it!

Coleman says yeah, that’s kinda funny, because it is true. Sammy’s attitude doesn’t always line up, so while he does work well with others, he somehow doesn’t get along with others. How does Sammy pick the people he works with and separate them? Sammy says he is like water, he can go into any shape or form. But he can’t choose if the people don’t like water! Some people don’t drink water, they’re unhealthy. So there are some who don’t like Sammy being Sammy, but he is water. Put him with a big guy, a small guy, a high-flyer, Sammy is universal! He can lucha libre, he can Strong Style, he is everything you could look for in a pro-wrestler because he’s that damn good!

Not because he says it, but because he proves it! Like Coleman said, he’s wrestled around the world! He’s won matches, won titles, and yet still feels this lack of respect from the fans and from the locker room, especially the people behind the cameras. Coleman feels Sammy has grown in front of the camera. The Sammy Guevara from a few years ago, the young guy, he did this and did what he wanted to do. But now, Sammy is grown, mature, is a husband and father, but some of those choices Sammy’s made along the way may be why the fans feel the way they feel. Sammy has turned on friends, he’s joined up with LFI, hard to know which way Sammy’s coming.

Sammy feels he is at war with his old self, his current self, and the self he wants to be. Sometimes he feels it in the back of his mind, he has these choices that he wants to make, but then he looks at a different side of it. He has to thank his daughter, Luna, for that. Love you, Luna! Coleman says we never would’ve seen that anywhere else, so that was dope. Sammy says it’s just the truth. Luna came into his life to make him a better person. Maybe he doesn’t get the respect he deserves, but so long as he has Luna, so long as she thinks he’s number one, he’s good. Coleman asks if Sammy is being a good example for her. Uh, obviously! He’s the Spanish God!

Life is a lot of perception being reality, but he hopes Luna can look at her dad and see he is a guy trying his best, just trying to be better than he was the day before. Sammy said when he was very young, he would become a world champion. Still hasn’t done that yet, but he still marches forward. Despite the setbacks, he dusts himself off and picks himself up to climb back up. No matter how many times you fall, you do your best to get back up, and that’s what he’s doing. He knows she knows that’s what he is doing. And one day, he’ll hold the world title on this arm, hold his daughter in the other, and he’ll have the whole world.

Coleman believes that the sky is the limit for Sammy, so glad they got to have this chat. Sammy says the only thing he disagrees with is that sky’s the limit. There’s a whole universe out there for the Spanish God! Coleman will go with that, then, CHYEAH! Will nothing stop “Everybody’s Favorite Pillar” from becoming the very best in the world today?

ROH World Television Championship: Lio Rush VS Lee Johnson!

The Problem Child won this title in a Triple Threat, and his reign has cast a shadow ever since. But will the Black Heart continue to shine? Or will Big Shotty be the new Face of ROH TV?

The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see if it’s fine, it’s fine!

Wait, Lee snatches the belt away just to pose with it on the corner. The fans boo, the ref reprimands, and Lee lets the ref have the belt. Lio CLOBBERS Lee! The bell rings, but Lio still offers the Code of Honor, saying it’s fine. Lee uses that to arm-drag! Lio runs, redirects, and redirects again! Lio stops, Lee avoids the cover, but Lio bobs ‘n’ weaves. Lio whips, Lee reverses, but Lio goes outside! Lio catches Lee on the ropes to CLAW at Lee’s chest again and again! The fans cheer but the ref reprimands. Lio stops, then storms up on Lee. Lee kicks low, then whips, but Lio stops himself again! Lio goes Matrix, handsprings, then mule kicks and ENZIGIRIS! Cover, TWO!

The fans rally behind Lio and he goes after Lee in the corner. Lio shouts, “CUTS!” before he CHOPS! The fans cheer and Lio stalks Lee to another corner. “CUTS!” CHOP! The fans cheer, and Lio brings Lee around to cravat, only for Lee to power out! Lee bails out, but Lio hurries over. Lee trips Lio, drags him out, but Lio SMACKS him first! And CHOPS! Lio whips, but Lee blocks and CLAWS Lio’s eyes! Lee then hits an APRON BACK SUPLEX! Lio writhes and rolls into the ring, but Lee storms in. Lee mocks the “CUTS!” as he CHOP LARIATS! Lio laughs!? Lee whips corner to corner, runs up, and CHOP LARIATS!

Lee suplexes high and hard, then he step son Lio for a cocky cover, TWO! Lio bridges, but Lee stomps him back down! Lee stalks Lio to a corner, but Lio kicks in return! Lio fires forearms, and “CUTS!” Lio ROCKS, “CUTS,” then runs, but Lee ELBOWS him down! Lee huffs ‘n’ puffs and shakes it off while the fans rally behind Lio. Lio laughs and says, “He did it. He did that to him.” Lee drags Lio up, bumps him off buckles, then snapmares for a PENALTY KICK! And STANDING MOONSAULT! Cover, TWO! The fans rally behind Lio, but Lee rains down fists! And elbows! The fans chant “NO! NO!” but Lio still laughs.

Lee mocks Lio, “The rain~! The rain~!” The fans rally and Lio fires forearms! Lee wobbles, but he stays standing. Lee drags Lio up, but Lio fires forearms! The fans rally again as Lio crawls around. Lee stands Lio up, but Lio fires fast hands and ROCKS Lee! Lio whips, Lee reverses, but Lio dodges! Lee crash lands, then Lio SPEARS him! The fans cheer while Lio talks to himself again. Lio blocks Lee’s shot, hooks and backslides, TWO! STUNNER outta nowhere! Lee staggers, Lio runs up and LARIATS! Then Lio whips to LARIAT again! The fans fire up as Lio then runs up on Lee, but Lee RAMS from the apron.

Lee runs in, Lio sends him back out, and Lio DIVES! Down goes Lee and Lio hurries back into the ring. Lio gremlin runs and DIVES again! The fans fire up for Lio and he hurries to get Lee back up and in. Lio then reels Lee in, says, “Up!” The fans echo “Up!” and Lio JACKHAMMERS! Cover, TWO!! Lee survives, but Lio looks around with wild eyes. Lio drags Lee up, then hits a STUNNER! Lee sputters, crawls to a corner, and the fans rally up. Lio hoists Lee up top, throws hands, then climbs up to join Lee. Lio says we’re going for a ride, and the fans cheer that! Lio cravats, but Lee fires body shots! Lee shoves Lio away, then BOOTS him!

Lio staggers, Lee storms up, but Lio switches and whips. Lee ELBOWS Lio, goes up, QUEBRADA into the REVERSE DDT! Cover, TWO! Lio survives and the fans rally up again. Lee huffs ‘n’ puffs again, drags Lio up, then SNAP HALF ‘N’ HALF SUPLEXES! Lio flounders, but then he sits back up! The fans rally with Lio but Lee reels him back in. SNAP HALF ‘N’ HALF! Lio stands, falls back, and Lee is starting to have a wild look in his eyes! The fans boo Lee as he stalks Lio, half nelsons, but Lio grabs the hand! Lio BITES the hand! The ref reprimands, Lio lets go, but Lee BOOTS him! But Lio rolls Lee, kips up, and SPIN KICKS!

The fans fire up for Lio as he runs, and RUSH- NO, Lee catches the stunner, suplexes, but Lio slips free! Lio whips, Lee reverses, but Lio hits RUSH HOUR! Cover, TWO!! Lee survives but the fans rally up behind Lio again. Lio looks around, talks to himself, and he drags Lee up. Lio says, “How ’bout that ride?” The fans cheer that! Lio lifts, Lee fights free, and Lee runs, but into a DISCUS LARIAT! The fans fire up as Lio then brings Lee up, clinches, and he looks to the sky. Fans chant “Up! Up! Up!” Lio nods and says the rain! The rain! No no no no… The rain! Lio goes outside, looks under the ring, but he can’t find what he wants.

The ring count starts, Lio looks around, and Blake Christian is here! Vanilla Baby distracts Lio, and Lee FLIES! Direct hit on the ramp! Blake says get in the ring! Lee puts Lio in, things speed up, RUNNING CUTTER! SUPERKICK! Lee hurries to lift and SIT-OUT POWERBOMB! Cover, TWO!! Lio survives and the fans fire up! Lee is furious, the fans rally behind Lio, but Blake still coaches Lee. Lee drags Lio to a drop zone, goes up, up, and DIVING- NO, Lio dodges the stomp! Then SPANISH FLY! Lio then brings Lee up, CUTTER into the DEEP CUT SLEEPER!! Lee endures, but he’s OUT, Lio wins!

Winner: Lio Rush, by submission (still ROH World Television Champion)

The title stays with Lio, and he carefully handles his precious title. Will the reign continue to pour?

My Thoughts:

Great stuff this episode but hard to say this was a “great episode” when it was tow hours and 40 minutes for no good reason. The title matches were great stuff, but naturally all the champions retained. A little disappointed that the only promo was Chop It Up, though it was a good promo to paint Sammy as more a Tweener, or like a Heel with a heart of gold. Now that he and Mortos lost the tag titles, maybe Sammy is allowed to build up as a singles guy that can at least get the ROH World Championship before the year is over. In fact, that’d be a great Final Battle match where Sammy takes the next five months to build up and take the title from Bandido.

Great win and great promo from Castle & The Outrunners, and I appreciate them putting it out there that we can see The Lethal Twist going for the titles. Lethal Twist is also teased in the AEW Trios title story, but these ROH titles are more likely for them than the AEW titles. Great ROH World Tag title match, and it really was wild seeing the teams in similar gear. And great match from Lio VS Lee, but I figured Lio would win. He and Action Andretti are gonna have it out for the title before Lio ever loses it, so Lio’s just kinda padding his stats and having a good time until then.
