Trademark Issues Delay Nikki Blackheart’s WWE NXT Name
Bryan Alvarez reports trademark complications are delaying the official WWE name for Nikki Blackheart after her televised NXT debut Tuesday, which is why she appeared without a ring name. Alvarez wrote that the trademark matters “aren’t finalized,” but added she will likely have a name by this time next week.
Blackheart made an immediate impact on NXT, entering the main event and assaulting Tatum Paxley after Kelani Jordan’s victory, ending the show with a torture rack while announcer Vic Joseph refrained from naming her. A former Florida Panthers cheerleader who trained under Gangrel, Blackheart previously appeared in a dark match last month and has competed using the name Martinez as WWE monitored her for a program move.
