Andrew’s TNA Impact! Results & Match Ratings: 8.6.2026

Well ya know, as per usual with TNA, there’s good with the bad. We had a great show last week that ended with one of the best matches and THE best decision of the year, to put the International title on Jason Hotch. But, the show apparently only did 176k in viewers, which is nearly half of the previous week and we had more exits from the Knockouts Division.

Jody Threat requested her leave, which I’m not upset about, she was dead weight. But it seems like Mara Sade was not convinced to stick around and tonight should be her final match in TNA for the foreseeable future. There was a positive signing with Gnomie the Clown, Gabby Forza, officially signing on as a new Knockout. So that’s good to hear, and there’s apparent confirmation of another “former titleholder” returning to TNA (my money is on Zelina Vega, since Rosita was Knockouts Tag Champ with Sarita).

Results:

Matt Hardy w/Jeff vs Ryan Nemeth w/Nic

Ryan tries to get in Matt’s face and Matt just chokes him back to the ropes and then starts clubbering, having to be pulled off a few times. So Ryan takes advantage of the referee getting involved and mauls Matt, a quick near fall and then some corner action from Ryan before Matt turns around an Irish Whip and turns it into the Delete Face Smashes into the buckles, then a pull out Powerbomb. Ryan gets his hands on the ropes and Matt chokes him with his foot. Matt wants a Twist, Ryan catches the kick and hits a Lariat. Rude Awakening from Ryan, for a two count.

After a short taunt uses the Version One pose, Ryan hits a Snap Suplex, but Matt no sells it. Ryan stays on Matt, grinds his face along the ropes and then climbs the buckles to do the Jeff Hardy dance. Ryan hasn’t been getting punished for his showboating yet. Matt tries to turn things around, but telegraphs the Back Drop so Ryan kicks him and then Matt fires forward into a Lariat, for them to both be down a moment. Matt starts his comeback, takeover, Leg Drop, Neckbreaker into Side Effect and only another two count! Matt looks for the Extreme Elbow, hits it! But Ryan kicks out at 2 and a half!

Matt goes for the Twist again, but Ryan shoves off, Nic trips him, Jeff complains and Ryan hits a DDT but Matt kicks out at two! Jeff attacks Nic, Ryan gets distracted and Matt hits the Twist of Fate and wins the match.

Inoffensive match, but slightly below average. It did what it’s supposed to since we all expect the matches to go 50/50 before Lockdown, and I don’t think Jeff is beating Nic for the World title with no build on a random Impact.

Mara Sade vs Heather by Elegance w/Elegance Brand

Heather tries to start aggressive, but Mara counters out and turns it into a quick pinfall attempt, but a little back and forth, Leap Frog from Mara, then she goes to the mat, but Heather puts the brakes on and stomps on Mara. Tries a Cradle Variation for two.  Mara fights back and uses the ropes to throat and slingshot Heather back to the center of the ring twice. Missile Dropkick from Mara, and Heather powders to apron. Mara sweeps the leg, wants to Stomp on Heather, but Heather manages to redirect Mara directly into the ring post.

Back into the ring, Heather focuses on the arm and twists it around the middle rope and pull, using the bulk of the 5 count. Then multiple Arm Wringers driving Mara into mat and goes for the Pentagon style Arm Breaker. Heather then manages a unique Straight Jacket Armbreaker, but Mara tries to turn it into a Roll-Up. Heather kicks out, and kicks at the arm and goes for the Cross Arm Breaker. Mara manages to power up, throws Heather into the turnbuckles and then lands a Dropkick as Heather stumbles out of the corner. Strike Exchange, back to back Lariats from Mara, Stinger Splash, Monkey Flip into the Ground and Pound from Mara. Referee pulls heroff because of the closed fists, Mara executes a beautiful Jacknife Powerbomb for two.

A Dropkick from Heather knocks Mara to the outside, but when Heather tries to follow up, Mara grabs her and slams her into the apron and follows with a Missile Dropkick off the steps. Mara wants the Moonsault, but Heather cuts off Mara, knocks Mara off the buckles and lands a Diving Dropkick/Stomp into the arm, and Heather wins.

Honestly not a bad match, just an obvious finish since we knew that Mara isn’t staying with TNA. 

Brian Myers w/Bear Bronson vs KC Navarro

KC tries to tie up and Takeover Myers, but Myers blocks it easy, so a rope run and Tilt-a-Whirl Headscissors later, and Myers spills to the outside. KC goes for a Dive, but Bear trips him, the referee sees him and ejects him. Bear is taking his sweet time, so Ricky Sosa attacks Bear with a Chair, Myers tries to take advantage of the chaos. KC hits the Spiderman pose to taunt, Myers, 305 and then KC looks to be setting up for a Blessing in Disguise…but Eddie Edwards hits the ring and Spears KC! Fabian Aichner’s music hits, and Fabian scares off Myers and Edwards, but Santino’s music hits.

Brian Myers & Eddie Edwards w/Lish vs KC Navarro & Fabian Aichner

Santino says he’s sick of all of this, so he turns it into a tag match.

Fabian and KC collect The System, Fabian throws Eddie into the ring and a quick Boot into a Scoop Slam, quick tag, Fabian launches KC over his head into Eddie, Myers tries to attack but gets dumped. Dive and Plancha combo to keep The System members on the back foot. KC brings Eddie into the ring, 10 Count Punches, Uppercuts him into their corner, Fabian tags in, Double Back Elbow and a near fall. Fabian slams Eddie’s face into the top buckle and starts his own 10 Count Punches into a Butterfly Suplex for a two count. Another quick tag, Fabian Armbars Eddie and KC comes down on it. Full Arm Drag and Twist, Fabian tags in, lots of arm focus in general tonight. Fabian looks for a Kimura, but Eddie fights him off and quick tag. Eddie manages to get some distance from KC and tags out, Myers charges but ears a Hip Toss.

Myers and Lish find a few shortcuts to get the best of the Blessed, but KC fires back when Myers tries to keep going. A quick Dropkick, KC tags out and Fabian is working over Myers until Eddie gets his Knee up to derail Fabian, Fabian fights through the interference and Lariats Myers. Fabian hits the Forward Roll Senton, but when he runs the ropes to try and continue, Eddie Low Bridges and Fabian spills out to the floor in an ugly way. Eddie tag in and starts to just beat on Fabian who’s still reeling from getting Low Bridged. Eddie looks for a Brainbuster, but Fabian drops his weight and reverses into his own Vertical Suplex. Eddie tags out first and Myers stays on Fabian. Myers has a Crossface in, Fabian tries to power out, Myers Irish Whip but Fabian perches and snaps off the Moonsault. Simultaneous tags and KC comes in with all the babyface fire. He rocks Myers and Eddie, punctuating the hot tag with a Satellite DDT but only for two. Fabian tags in, they go for some kind of tandem move but Myers shoves KC off the turnbuckle and Eddie counters the Suplex position.

Fabian hits an Avalanche Butterfly Suplex, KC tags himself in, Frog Splash from KC, but Myers makes the save! Fabian hits Hasta La Vista, but eats a Boston Knee Party. KC Superkicks Eddie, KC goes for the Blessing, but Lish slides in a Kendo Stick, Eddie cracks KC with the Kendo Stick and then hits a Package Piledriver for the win.

The Righteous have a promo that goes over super flat and says nothing. They just aren’t focused on the Hardys anymore, but aside from that the crowd shit on them and it was lame. 

AJ Francis vs Home Town Man

AJ Francis walks out in a Commanders Shirt, HTM walks out in a Saquan Barkley jersey, as soon as the bell rings AJ Francis hits him with a TFL. AJ spits on the Eagles Jersey, but Elijah’s music plays and he appears at the top of the ramp, distracting AJ, so HTM rolls him up and the match is over.

TNA Knockouts Championship: Xia Brookside (c) vs Wendy Choo

Xia and Wendy trade Forearms in the corner before Wendy hits the Thesz Press and rains down shots on Xia, but Xia powders and tries to collect herself, but Wendy follows her. PK into a Front Kick. Wendy throws her back in, baits Xia to try a cut off tactic, but Wendy dodges it and Xia misses her Elbow Drop. Wendy looks for an Armbar but Xia grabs the ropes. Xia trips Wendy, hits the Angel’s Wings Running Knees to the back and smashes Wendy’s face into the mat before going back to the corner and choking her. The referee breaks up the choke, Wendy tries to get some air but Xia chokes her against the ropes, a cocky cover doesn’t win anything, Russian Legsweep into a Triangle Armbar, but Wendy turns it into a Cradle forcing Xia to break the submission. But a Lariat, a few Forearms and then Feet to the Chest into a Gamengiri, but only two. Ground and Pound from Xia, before going into a classic Bow and Arrow submission, Wendy tries to power up but Xia rolls with the attempted counter to keep it locked in and drives her heels into the Shoulder Blades to add pressure before eventually just kicking Wendy away because she won’t quit.

As she charges, Wendy gets two Back Elbows up to rock Xia, back to back Lariats, into a Hammerlock Lariat! Cartwheel Forearm, Sidekick Face Wash, Choo Choo Neck Breaker, but only a Choo Two. Wendy wants a Suplex, but Xia blocks it twice, hits a Codebreaker and goes for the win, but Wendy kicks out. Xia has Wendy up, but Wendy fights out, Sleeper Hold gets thrown off, but Wendy hits the Snooze Button! Xia barely kicks out. Wendy is looking for a finish, Cobra Clutch is locked in, and Xia is stuck in the center. Xia nearly fades but finds a way to fire and throat Wendy into the ropes, quickly grabbing the Darkside off the submission break and Xia retains!

The psychology and selling of the finish was questionable, but generally speaking it wasn’t a bad match. Plus the Philly crowd still being very hot for the former ROH wrestler, Wendy Choo. Elayna Black’s music hits afterwards, they stare down, Xia holds up the title but nothing happens as we head to commercial. 

Ending with cornball stuff like a contract signing is almost a guaranteed flat ending. Nic walks into a room where Jeff is painting and Nic just starts cutting a promo on him about the Charismatic Enigma nickname and the “Oh wow Jeff Hardy paints”. Jeff is just letting him talk and Nic says he sees through his bullshit. The promo is unique since it feels more like Nic rambling at therapy since Jeff is staying quiet and just painting. Nic signs the contract and says “Make it official so I can get the hell out of here”. Jeff does so, and goes back to painting. 

Overall Score: 5.75/10

The contract signing segment was at least unique, still never a fan of ending shows on a talking segment, but that was something different. Aside from that though, the Mara match and Matt match lost it’s efficacy since the finishes were obvious. Mara didn’t sign a new contract, and I highly doubt Jeff is winning the World title randomly. Ali however, is a tremendous scumbag heel, and the fact that Hotch’s daughter doesn’t understand acting was more perfect, since Ali probably is like an Uncle to her, so him saying condescending things about Jason, but sweetly to the daughter, and making the wife super uncomfortable, that was great work. The throw together tag with KC & Fabian vs The System, that wasn’t bad, just really starting to seem like KC took more than just Naito’s finisher from him, he also took the full on hero’s journey massive failure angle. HTM getting a useless win over AJ Francis is…whatever, both undercard angles have no heat and are just empty calories. AJ Francis and Elijah is a piss break, while Kaz & Moose might be a pretty decent match, but it’ll just be one of those “oh yeah, that happened” moments in the future.

TNA’s roster is in a rough spot when the singles titles are all on either tag team members or faction members, and they only have like 4 male tag teams and 2 female ones. The roster is insanely shallow, and I can only hope that the next few weeks we get more signings to decent length contracts and less releases. Because while nothing is overly offensive in the Post-Dreamer booking, the roster is embarrassingly thin and nothing has any long term heat to carry a program into Bound For Glory. The closest thing right now is Hotch versus Ali, but that needs to be really slow burned and get personal…not get blown off in 2 and a half weeks.
