Zoey Serrano signs with TNA, M by Elegance becomes the first Knockouts TV Champion and Mustafa Ali is hospitalized with a punctured lung.

TNA left Lockdown with plenty of new directions. Thursday night made several of them considerably bigger.

Zoey Serrano officially joined the Knockouts division, M by Elegance became the first TNA Knockouts Television Champion and Mustafa Ali’s first week as International Champion took an unexpectedly serious turn.

Meanwhile, WWE made another major international commitment and AEW added one more chaotic match to Wembley.

Zoey Serrano Officially Signs With TNA

Former WWE star Zoey Stark, now wrestling as Zoey Serrano, officially signed with TNA Thursday night after attacking Indi Hartwell during Impact. Director of Operations Daria Rae announced Serrano as the newest member of the Knockouts division, and TNA has already scheduled Serrano and Knockouts World Champion Xia Brookside against Hartwell and Harley Hudson for next week.

That is a much better introduction than a polite graphic announcing a signing. Serrano arrived with a target. Indi already had her eyes on Xia’s championship. Now Serrano inserted herself directly into that conversation.

TNA gets another experienced wrestler in a Knockouts division that has suddenly become very crowded, and Serrano immediately gets something more useful than “new signing” as her character. She has enemies.

M by Elegance Becomes the First Knockouts TV Champion

M by Elegance defeated Jada Stone in Thursday’s tournament final to become the first TNA Knockouts Television Champion. TNA has established that the title will be defended exclusively on Thursday Night Impact. Being first matters. It becomes part of the wrestler’s résumé permanently.

Even if somebody eventually holds the belt longer, defends it more often or becomes more closely associated with it, M will always be the name sitting at the beginning of the championship history. The exclusive Impact stipulation also gives the belt a useful purpose. Not every championship needs to exist primarily for pay-per-view. This one can make weekly television matter.

Mustafa Ali Is Out With a Punctured Lung

TNA announced Thursday that International Champion Mustafa Ali is out of action with a punctured lung suffered around Lockdown. Ali appeared from a hospital bed during Impact and addressed Jason Hotch and Order 4 while recovering.

That is a serious injury. Everything else about Ali’s championship story becomes secondary until he is healthy. TNA can use the forced absence creatively if it wants, particularly with the existing instability around Order 4. But there should be no artificial urgency about getting the champion back into the ring.

A punctured lung is not something professional wrestling needs anybody proving toughness through.

TNA Will Crown a New X-Division Champion at Bound For Glory

Leon Slater has officially vacated the X-Division Championship after exercising Option C, and TNA will crown his successor in a six-way match at Bound For Glory on October 11. Qualifying matches will determine the six participants.

This is the correct consequence of Option C. Slater cannot say he is gambling the X-Division Championship on himself while continuing to carry the belt around as insurance.

He gave something up. Now six other wrestlers get the opportunity created by that decision. That helps Slater’s world-title story and immediately creates another Bound For Glory program underneath it. One choice moved two divisions forward.

WWE Commits to Perth Through 2028

WWE announced a new three-year partnership with Western Australia that will bring annual premium live event weekend takeovers to Perth through 2028. The agreement begins with Wrestlepalooza: Perth at RAC Arena on December 12, preceded by SmackDown on December 11 and followed by Raw on December 14.

WWE’s international strategy is no longer about occasionally taking a major show overseas. It is becoming infrastructure. Perth now knows WWE is coming back. WWE knows it has a government partner and a market willing to build tourism activity around the event.

That makes planning easier for everybody involved, including fans. The interesting question is how many other cities eventually want the same arrangement.

AEW Adds Trios Roulette Royale to All In

Tony Khan announced a seven-team Trios Roulette Royale for the AEW World Trios Championship at All In. Hangman Page, Bandido and Brody King will defend against teams including The Demand, The Conglomeration, The Dogs, Death Riders, Bang Bang Gang and an unrevealed wild-card trio. The match begins on the Buy-In and is expected to continue onto the main card.

That sounds appropriately ridiculous for Wembley. Seven trios means twenty-one wrestlers before the mystery team even becomes part of the discussion. The wild card is obviously designed to generate speculation, which means fans will spend the weekend talking themselves into every available three-person combination.

That is part of the fun. AEW does not need this match to be orderly. It needs it to feel like something that could only happen on a show this large.

SmackDown Preview — August 28, 2026

Friday Night SmackDown airs from Ottawa, Ontario, with Chelsea Green scheduled to return to action alongside Tiffany Stratton against Nia Jax and Lash Legend. The episode was taped Monday following Raw because WWE’s crew is moving toward Sunday’s events in Texas.

• Additional appearances are expected from Kevin Owens, Finn Bálor, Gunther, Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton.

TNA Impact Results — August 27, 2026

Thursday’s Impact crowned the first Knockouts Television Champion, introduced Zoey Serrano and moved Leon Slater’s road to Bound For Glory forward.

Thursday gave TNA something every post-pay-per-view show needs: Consequences that actually lead somewhere.

Slater no longer has the X-Division Championship because he chose the world title. M has a championship that did not exist a week ago. Serrano has a contract and immediately has enemies.

Ali has a much more serious fight than anything currently scheduled on television. Lockdown is already in the rearview mirror, and the road to Bound For Glory has begun.
