Well, he believes in you, go win it back! Now, last week, he had the honor and the privilege to return to Arena Mexico. One of the most important buildings in pro-wrestling history. The legacy, the history, the lineage. It’s an honor to be there, and the Mexican fans knew he had a bad day, they know how to lift him up. Now, he wants to talk about last year. He was going to Arena Mexico for the first time, just wanted to make a good impression.

Now, he lands in Mexico, gets a text from his mum that he needed to call her. He called his mum, his grandad had passed away. Yeah, he knows. A man who Ospreay modeled his life after, was an inspiration. The fans cheer for Grandpa Ospreay, and Will continues by saying that the idea of him never seeing his grandpa again, that his grandpa would never get to see him wrestle in the UK again. Not in the O2, not in Wembley, and the bit that really killed him the most, he wasn’t gonna be there for the day Ospreay married his beautiful wife, Alex Windsor. The fans cheer a bit more, and Ospreay says it’s all good, though.

Because deep down, Ospreay knows if Grandpa was standing next to him, he’d go, “Oi, why’re you crying in the Mexican toilet? You’ve got people to entertain, so do a flip!” That’s what he’d want, too, because both Ospreay and his grandpa understood that there’s a certain responsibility, and it has to be part of AEW. No matter how sad he is, no matter the pressure he feels, he will leave every single bit of himself in this ring for the fans! The fans cheer that! Ospreay says 25 days out from the BIGGEST night of his bloody life, and he’s in a Mexico City Street Fight! Why? Because he’s here to set an example!

Ospreay understands the responsibility, and he hopes everyone got to enjoy that match. It sucked for Ospreay, but he’s sure the fans enjoyed it, and he’s pretty sure one person in particular was watching at home, not in the building. And that was our AEW World Champion, Kenny Omega! Now, now, Ospreay knows Omega was watching at home thinking, “Man, can Wil pull that trigger?” And by the end of the night, Omega must’ve been saying, “Oh, sh*t, he’s gonna pull the trigger.” So Ospreay knows Omega is here tonight! Well done! Well done, you got on a plane and you earned your paycheck here in Vegas.

But if Omega’s not doing anything… And if Michael Nakazawa is done trimmin’ those tiny Canadian testes… Why not come out and grace us with your presence, “champ?” The fans fire up, but instead of Omega, we get Don Callis! The fans boo as Callis steps out on stage with a mic. Callis says it is fitting that they’re all here in Vegas, “The birthplace of All Elite Wrestling.” Like Ospreay, Callis was not part of that show, but he was watching intently. While Ospreay was watching a place that he couldn’t wait to compete in, Callis was watching a place he couldn’t wait to exploit!

The fans boo, but Callis says he knew he’d need the perfect tool to exploit this company, and he found that tool in the man he’d raised since he was a five-year-old boy and turned into the greatest wrestler in the world at the time, Kenny Omega! The fans tell Callis to shut up, but Callis says that on December 20, 2020, Kenny Omega and Don Callis screwed Jon Moxley and they won the AEW World Championship! Then they went on a run with that title unmatched in this company’s history. Then Kenny made a critical error: He thought he could do it without Don Callis. May 10, 2023, Callis had to remind Omega who his real daddy was.

And during a match of Omega VS Moxley, Callis stabbed Omega in the face and put him in the hospital! Make no mistake, Callis has done more damage to Kenny than diverticulitis ever could! The fans definitely boo that. Callis say sit was around that time that he brought Ospreay here. He booked Ospreay for Forbidden Door 2023 against Omega, and that was the match where Ospreay finally achieved his lifetime goal of beating Omega, and it was with Callis in his corner, in his ear, and in his head. And he’ll remind Ospreay that when Omega beat Ospreay in Japan, Calllis was in Omega’s corner.

So do you see the theme here? You owe everything to Callis! The International Championship run, his first match in Wembley Stadium, all of it, because of Callis! And now, just like Omega, Ospreay thinks he can do anything on his own, or maybe thinks he can do it with Moxley. Oh, wait, that’s no longer happening, either! So Ospreay must look at the road to Wembley these next couple weeks being paved with gold, but Callis says that road is not paved in gold, but in blood! And OSPREAY’S BLOOD! ROPPONGI VICE AND JAKE DOYLE ATTACK! The fans boo as Ospreay fights back, fires off on Jake, but then Mark Davis joins in! SLEEPER! The family mugs Ospreay!

The fans boo more, but Callis says break him! Get that neck! Davis drags Ospreay up, but Omega rushes out here! The fans fire up as Omega has a pipe! He CRACKS Rocky, he CRACKS Trent, then CLOBBERS Trent for good measure! Omega RAMS into Jake, then CLOBBERS him! Davis bails out before he can get hit! The fans fire up as the Don Callis Family is in retreat! Omega grabs the mic, but he also looks at his pipe. Omega fakes a swing on Ospreay, then says, “Will, I felt that. You see? When you talk from the heart, you have this way with words. I feel everything that you say. But the problem is, Will… You wear your heart on your sleeve.

“And as much as you feel, you never THINK! What did you think would happen, Will? I warned you about Don Callis. I warned you about Jon Moxley. We both knew about the guy who’s running around, calling himself ‘The Real World Champion,’ he’s both of our problem. But Will, it’s made you sloppy. It’s made you a fool, Will Ospreay. And you lose everything. But this isn’t the man I want to fight at Wembley Stadium.” Omega sets the pipe down to offer his hand, and Ospreay is wary. Ospreay accepts, Omega helps him stand, and the fans cheer. Omega tells Ospreay he hopes Ospreay understands, he can’t help him like this again.

From here on in, it’s just Omega and Ospreay. Ospreay says he appreciates the help, but he didn’t ask for it. And he’s not gonna need Omega’s help. Thank you. Ospreay leaves, but will these two be able to survive the last 18 days until All In?

All In Casino Gauntlet #2 Spot Triple Threat: MJF VS “Speedball” Mike Bailey VS Kevin Knight!

Speaking of the self-proclaimed Real World Champion, that Scumbag returned last week just to ruin Andrade’s moment, take back his Dynamite Diamond Ring, and declare for the Casino Gauntlet. He even gets in Justin Robert’s face to tell him to announce him as “The One True Champion!” But before he can even go to Wembley, he has to make it through the Canadian Karate Kid and The Prodigy. Will MJF defy the odds one way or another? Or will someone else book their ticket for London?

The bell rings and the fans rally up for Bailey. The three circle, but then MJF bails out. The fans boo but MJF swaggers around. Nick and Bailey focus on each other while MJF goes to commentary. MJF takes Schiavone’s headset just so he can say, “I’m gonna let these two twinks battle it out, I’m gonna pick their scrawny little bones, and I’m gonna get one step closer to proving to the world that I’m not just the One True Champion, I am the Undisputed World Champion of AEW. Thank you, Schiavone, you fat old p*ick.” MJF leaves commentary while Nick shoves Bailey. Bailey trips Nick, things speed up, and Bailey sweeps the legs! Cover, ONE!

Bailey jumps a sweep, and he pats Nick on the head. The fans cheer, but Nick trips Bailey! Bailey BOOTS Nick away, both men kip up, both men duck kicks, then both men block kicks! Nick SLAPS Bailey, but Bailey blocks another kick, and the two stand off! The fans cheer, but then MJF mockingly applauds. Bailey BOOTS MJF to shut him up! But Nick rolls Bailey up! TWO, and Nick kicks low. Nick whips, but Bailey handsprings up and over! Then Bailey ducks ‘n’ dodges to RANA! The fans fire up while Nick bails out! Bailey builds speed, but Nick dodges! Nick hurdles to UPPERCUT! The fans boo while Bailey bails out.

Nick rallies the fans, builds speed, and FLIES! Down goes Bailey, and Nick lands on his feet! Nick says too easy! Nick brings Bailey up and into the ring, then aims. Bailey BOOTS back! Bailey then TRIANGLE JUMP MOONSAULTS! Down goes Nick and the fans fire up! But now MJF builds speed? MJF keeps running, because duh, he doesn’t fly. MJF flips the fans off but Bailey is up top! MISSILE DROPKICK! Bailey sends MJF tumbling, but Nick is back! But Bailey arm-drags free of the nelson! Bailey then winds up, but Nick dodges! Bailey BOOTS from the corner, goes up, and ULTIM- NO, MJF YANKS Bailey down!

The fans boo but MJF rains down fists on Bailey. The fans tell MJF off, but MJF pats Nick on the head. MJF tells Nick to show him something, and Nick rains down fists, too! MJF applauds, and wants Nick to hold Bailey up. Nick drags Bailey to his feet, and MJF says he wants to teach Nick something. A lot of people go for headshots, but you BODY SHOT! Bailey falls, coughs and sputters, and MJF says see, if they can’t breathe, they can’t win. Now Nick can try. MJF stands Bailey up, and Nick winds up to BODY SHOT Bailey! The fans cheer Bailey but MJF says it doesn’t matter, Bailey can’t do nothing! MJF raise Nick’s hand to put him over.

MJF tells Nick to do one of those sick moves of his. Nick cravats to ASAI DDT! MJF covers, Nick YANKS him back! Nick argues with MJF, but MJF says Nick gets to be in the ring, that’s a big deal in itself. MJF applauds Nick, but Nick turns MJF around. MJF SLAPS Nick! MJF says do not put your hands on him! Nick SUPERKICKS MJF! MJF tumbles out and Nick goes to Bailey. Bailey blocks a shot to ROCK Nick! And ROCK him again! And again! Bailey kicks, Nick blocks, and Nick CLUBS the leg! Nick whips, Bailey duck s ‘n’ dodges, then BOOTS Nick down! The fans rally for Bailey as he STOMPS, AX KICKS, then ROUND KICKS Nick down!

The fans fire up as Bailey runs, but Nick avoids the Shooting star! SNAP DRAGON! Then a somersault and SUNSET- NO, Bailey stays up, and KNEE-SAULTS! Nick sputters while the fans fire up! The fans rally as Bailey goes to the apron. But MJF runs up to HOTSHOT! The fans boo but MJF soaks up the heat. MJF reels Bailey in, vows to end this, HEAT- NO, Bailey shoves free! And he jumps MJF’s slide to then ASAI MOONSAULT onto MJF AND Nick! The fans fire up while all three men are down, and Dynamite goes picture in picture.

MJF flounders and crawls, but Bailey stands up. Bailey checks his ribs and stretches before he hobbles his way back to the ring. But then Nick trips him up on the apron! Nick hobbles his way up the apron, brings Bailey up, but Bailey fights the suplex! Nick fires body shots, but then MJF anchors Nick! MJF YANKS Nick down, then soaks up more heat. MJF steps inside, CHOKES Bailey on the ropes, but doesn’t have to stop even as the ref reprimands! MJF stops only to soak up heat from the fans, and to take a sarcastic bow. MJF then goes back to Bailey, drags him up, and SMACKS him off buckles. MJF struts around while Dynamite returns to single picture.

MJF runs Bailey side to side, but Bailey blocks the bump to buckle bump back! Bailey adds a ROUNDHOUSE and MJF falls! Bailey goes up, up, and the fans fire up for the SHOOTING STAR- NO, Bailey has to land out as MJF moves! MJF runs up, but Bailey snatches him for a SPANISH FLY! Cover, TWO! Nick is back to kick Bailey, reel him in, but Bailey fights the fisherman to kick and suplex! FALCON ARROW and Nick is in the drop zone! Bailey goes back up, aims, and SHOOTING STAR PRESS! Cover, TWO! Nick survives, but Bailey stays fired up! The fans rally for Bailey as he aims at Nick, and spins for the TIME- ROUNDHOUSE from Nick!!

Nick hurries to PRODIGY PLEX! Cover, MJF breaks it! MJF lifts Nick, Nick slips free, then feints the haymaker to BODY SHOT! Just as MJF taught him! The fans cheer as Nick says thanks for the tip, a-hole! Nick goes up, up, WAYNE’S- FOREARM!! MJF knocks Nick outta the sky, then reels him in, POWER BREAKER! Cover, SHOOTING STAR from Bailey! The fans fire up with Bailey and he aims at Nick. THRUST KICK! Then the TIME ADVENTURE! Nick is down, Bailey goes up, ULTIMATE WEAPON! But MJF drags Bailey up to TOSS him out! MJF has the SALT OF THE EARTH ARMBAR!! NICK TAPS, MJF WINS!

Number two is very fitting for this guy, he’s full of number two and then some. MJF has them cut his music so he can talk on the mic. “I told you guys what was gonna happen. I told you I was gonna win, because the champ always wins!” The fans boo but MJF says he’s never lost a day in his life. Which is why he is walking into Wembley, he is leaving with the Casino Gauntlet contract, and there is nothing anybody can do to stop him! But wait, is Andrade here?! The music plays, but then MJF smirks. He pulled a fast one on us. MJF says sorry, how you know? How you know he ain’t is because MJF whooped his ass last week!

And Andrade ain’t showing up anyway, because he’s a gutless little worm! Y’know who else is afraid of MJF? Kenny Omega! And you know who else? Will Ospreay! Both of those boys better pray to God, get on hands and knees, beg, don’t make them face MJF! But bad news, God ain’t listening, it’s just The Devil! And sooner rather than later, you find out the hard way that MJF is the ONE TRUE CHAMPION! Will MJF really go from number two to number one with a bullet? Or is he just fooling himself?

And they campaigned for a tag title match on the biggest show of the year, just because it’s in their home country. Typical. Sad. They tell everyone they’re undefeated, but that doesn’t mean anything when you’ve never faced Lena & Megan. And they gave The Birds just a taste of the hell that awaits. In front of family, friends, and Alex’s husband, their greatest moment will just be Divine Dominion’s greatest massacre. So here’s to The Brawling Birds. They had a good run.

Megan & Lena each lift a mug of beer, just to drop them on the floor and let them shatter. Will that be what happens to Jamie & Alex? Or will we all see that those titles are for The Birds?

Backstage interview with The Bang Bang Gang.

Mick Foley is with Ace Austin, Austin Gunn, Colten Gunn, Juice Robinson & Jay White. Tonight, he specifically talks with The Switchblade, whose wish has been fulfilled. White VS Finlay, Continental Rules, meaning no outside interference of any kind. That’s great, yes, but first thing’s first, welcome to the Bang Bang Gang, Mick! Now, White thought the stars had aligned for the perfect return at Forbidden Door, stopping Finlay from stealing one with his shillelagh. But since thin, David, The Dogs, the Death Riders, you all have gotten the best of The Bang Bang Gang at almost every turn.

But Davey, Johnny, both your days are numbered. White and Finlay have wrestled more times than White cares to count, but tonight it is truly 1v1 one more time. White will beat Finlay, and he prays Moxley makes it through tonight so that it is Moxley who White goes on to beat to become the NEW AEW Continental Champion. So David, Dogs, Death Riders, and Mox, if you ain’t down with that, they’ve got two words for ya: GUNS UP! Mick asks if he can do it, too, and Austin helps him with the angle. Yeah! But will the Switchblade cut The Rebel down in the first round? Or will that Dog have some tricks up his sleeve?

White CHOPS Finlay down, then goes out after him! White CHOPS Finlay again, then stalks him around the way. White kicks Finlay, CHOPS him again, then brings him around to SMACK off the desk! Finlay staggers, White SMACKS him off the apron, then puts him in the ring. The fans duel, but the majority is on Team Switch. White stalks Finlay to a corner, but Finlay turns things around! Finlay winds up, but White dodges the chop to CHOP again!

The fans “WOO~” for White while Finlay is stinging. White CHOPS again, but Finlay headlocks. White powers up and out, but Finlay RUNS him over! Finlay hurries to SENTON! The fans continue to duel as Finlay rains down fists! The ref reprimands, Finlay stops, and Finlay soaks up the cheers and jeers. Finlay goes back to White, but White CHOPS! White waistlocks, ducks an elbow, then hits a BACKBREAKER! Cover, TWO! Finlay bails out but White pursues. White drags Finlay up , but Finlay HOTSHOTS White down! The fans rally again as Finlay hurries back inside. Finlay stomps a mudhole into White in the corner.

The ref reprimands, Finlay argues with him, then he goes back to White. White ELBOWS Finlay, kicks low, then KICKS again! White goes up to then FLYING RANA! That’s rare for White, but then he LARIATS Finlay up and out! The fans fire up as White then PLANCHAS! Down goes Finlay and the fans fire up again! White rises back up, drags Finlay up, and he GOURD BUSTERS on the apron! Finlay sputters, White CHOPS him again! White then drags Finlay into the ring for a BIG suplex! Cover, TWO! Finlay survives but White stays cool. The fans rally up again, and the Team Switch majority is still strong.

White stalks Finlay, Finlay is in the ropes and wants a timeout. White pushes past the ref, but Finlay throat chops! Then a fireman’s carry, and SNAKE EYES! Then a NECKBREAKER! Finlay soaks up the cheers and jeers again while White writhes and Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Finlay crawls back, covers, TWO! Finlay stays on White by pulling his hair, then whips him to the corner. Finlay runs up to UPPERCUT! Then he reels White in for a BROKEN ARROW! White flounders, Finlay flexes, and Finlay soaks up the cheers and jeers. Finlay steps on White’s hand, talks trash and mocks the finger guns, then brings White up. Finlay UPPERCUTS White down, paces around him, and White wobbles as he stands. White CHOPS, but Finlay CHOPS White down! Cover, TWO! White stays in this, but Finlay grinds his forearm in White’s face! The ref reprimands, Finlay stops to argue with him, then Finlay stalks White to ropes.

Finlay CHOKES White, CLAWS his face, but stops as the ref counts. Finlay throws crossface forearms, then eggs White on. White CHOPS, so Finlay stomps him back down. Finlay soaks up more heat, but White YANKS him from the corner to fire fast hands! Finlay ROCKS White in return! Finlay takes aim, runs corner to corner, and UPPERCUTS! Finlay brings White around, reels him in, and snap suplexes! Cover, TWO! White huffs ‘n’ puffs as he stays in this, and he crawls to the corner while Dynamite returns to single picture. The fans duel as Finlay aims again, and he runs back up, to UPPERCUT again!

White sputters but Finlay reels him in, only for White to turn that around! BUCKLE PLEX! Finlay writhes and the fans rally up as a standing count begins. Finlay sits up in the corner but White rises at center. White stands right up, and he CHOPS Finlay! And JABS! JABS! CHOP! White whips, Finlay reverses, but White slips around and DDTS! The fans fire up, White covers, TWO! Finlay survives but White stays cool. White drags Finlay up by an arm, then clinches, but White fires elbows! White staggers away, but he clinches! Finlay slips through, White switches, but Finlay leg rolls to a cradle, TWO! White has the ghost pin, TWO!

White is up, but Finlay clinches! IRISH CURSE BACKBREAKER! Cover, TWO! White survives and Finlay grows frustrated. The fans rally, Finlay talks trash, and Finlay drags White up. Finlay puts White in the corner, hoists him up, then smirks as he climbs up. White resists the lift, the fans rally, and White fires hands! White HAMMERS away on Finlay, then lets him fall back! White hops down, but Finlay UPPERCUTS! Finlay runs, but White clinches, FLATLINER! Then deadlift GERMAN SUPLEX! Bridging cover, TWO, but because White couldn’t hold it! White clutches his neck and shoulder and the ref checks.

The fans rally, White assures the ref he can continue, and he stands up. White drags Finlay up, clinches, but Finlay fights with a BIG elbow! White goes down in a heap and Finlay rests on ropes. The fans boo but Finlay waits on White. White clutches his neck, Finlay reels him in! DDT! Cover, TWO!! White survives, if only barely! White pounds the mat in frustration but Finlay drags him up. White is a ragdoll so the ref checks White again. Finlay eggs White on, White reaches out at Finlay, and Finlay brings White up. Canadian Rack, and CANADIAN- NO, White flails free! Then he BODY SHOTS, HAYMAKERS, and ROUNDHOUSES!

White hauls Finlay up, but Finlay spins it around! CANADIAN- NO, White is free again! Underhooks and a lift into the Canadian Rack, for a DOMINATOR!! Cover, TWO!! Finlay survives but White does not stop! White drags Finlay up, clinches, and BLADER- NO, Finlay spins through, INTO OBLIVION!! Cover, TWO!!! White survives and Finlay is enraged! The fans rally as Finlay hauls White up, winds up, and LARIATS White down! Then he drags White up again for another LARIAT! White stays up this time, so Finlay LARIATS again! The fans boo but Finlay roars! Finlay suplexes, but White stops the knee! BLADERUNNER!! Cover, WHITE WINS!!

Winner: Jay White, by pinfall (advances to the next round)

It was as gritty as expected, and the Switchblade gets even with Finlay while also moving forward towards the finals! Will White have another wish granted by facing Jon Moxley in the next round? Or will someone else have that honor first?

Tony Schiavone is in the ring.

Dynamite returns as Schiavone welcomes us back, and says a week ago, Grand Slam: Mexico crowned NEW AEW World Trios Champions! Let’s welcome out now Hangman Adam Page, Bandido & Brody King! The fans cheer as indeed, The Good, The Bad, and The “Ugly” make their entrance. Schiavone says they can soak up the moment, they deserve it. Not only is Bandido a champion in ROH, but he’s also a champion in AEW. Bandido thanks Schiavone for that, and he says he did it for all the Latinos! The fans cheer that! Schiavone says Brody is a two-time Trios Champion, and Brody says he’s a man that likes to let his actions speak.

But yes, Las Vegas, they are the NEW AEW World Trios Champions! The fans cheer that! Schiavone then says Hangman has gold in AEW again, how does it feel? Hangman says it’s great! But he has a question: Does anyone mind if the white boy speaks a little Espanol? The fans cheer, and Hangman smiles. In that case- Nevermind! Swerve Strickland is interrupting! Prince Nana leads the way as The Most Dangerous Man is back in AEW! Nana tells Schiavone that Schiavone speaks every week, and his breath just reeks more and more. Get out of the ring! Get out! Nana and Swerve are asking the questions now.

And Nana’s first question is this: Whose House? “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” The fans cheer, and Swerve takes the mic to ask Nana, what’s that phrase? Trauma bonding? Does Swerve’s eyes deceive him, or is it three guys Swerve has had serious beef with over the last few years, and they’re all being friends and all kumbaya? Not only that, they’re trios champions. Like, oh my goodness! Swerve hasn’t even been gone that long, what happened to this place? Look at them all! They have nothing in common! Well, maybe one thing: Swerve.

Look at Bandido, The Most Wanted. Swerve stomped out everyone in Bandido’s old town, and how did Bandido respond? They tore the house down at Double or Nothing in New York. But ultimately, Bandido failed and Swerve won. Which then led Swerve to Brody. The past ten years between them, they can’t change that, that’s why they fight the way they do, that’s why they go so hard, that’s why they go to war the way they do. But last time, Brody was face down in a pool of his own blood. And it’s funny, all this history always seems to come back to Hangman. The fans cheer for “COWBOY SH*T!” as Hangman stares Swerve down.

Swerve says that oddly enough, earlier this year, they were on the same page, no pun intended. Swerve takes his eye off Hangman for one second, Hangman goes after the AEW World Championship, and look what happened! Hangman lost! Not only did he lose, but he lost any opportunity of ever going after that title again. So Swerve has to ask Hangman: What is his legacy now? What is his story going forward? And Swerve, listen, Ricochet genuinely believes Swerve could have a group of guys who don’t complete hate his guts to watch his back so that he could challenge for the titles, but maybe Swerve forgot how he got himself in this position in the first place. It was Swerve and everybody out there that decided to turn their backs on Ricochet and shower him in toilet paper! Swerve & Nana had the “bright” idea to abandon Gates of Agony. But that’s okay, because Ricochet saw their full potential, and he’s the one who led them to become AEW World Trios Champions!

The fans boo but Swerve says what happened then. Ricochet says those titles were stolen by those three morons next to Swerve. Yeah, they stole the titles! They’re lucky this isn’t the NFL, or there’d be instant replay showing that Toa’s shoulders were not down! So those titles still belong their pretty little waists. That said, The Demand demands their rematch! And if the right hand don’t get ya, the left hand will. Cuz if you don’t see it or not, this is now nine guys who hate Swerve’s guts, and many more in the back. So Swerve should do himself and everyone else a favor, and get to stepping! Swerve your ass outta Ricochet’s arena!

Swerve smirks as he steps outside, walks right up to Ricochet, and Ricochet says get to stepping! Look what he’s up against! Get to stepping! Swerve smirks again as he puts his hands up and walks on past The Demand. But then Swerve says one more thing: Brody may be doing the barking, but Ricochet’s the b*tch. Ricochet gets mad but Liona holds him back. Hangman says Ricochet, maybe, just maybe, Swerve has a point! If Ricochet thinks he’s taking the belts back, then just get in the ring and take them! Ricochet says that sounds great! But then Ricochet has his guys hold on. They’ll do this on their time.

The fans boo, but the line in the sand has been drawn. When and where will The Demand go for their rematch? And what will Swerve do to remind everyone that he is The Realest?

As part of AEW: Closeup Look, Renee Paquette met with the AEW Women’s World Champion, and noted that they’ve both been doing this for a long time. Willow still has a whole career ahead of her as champion, different titles, etcetera, but- MERCEDES MONE ATTACKS! The CEO sues her Queen of Harts belt to CLOBBER Willow, then LASH her again and again! Mone says Willow wants to embarrass her, humiliate her, beat her, but look to camera! Keep smiling! Mone will give you something to smile about! Mone calls Willow a “dumb b*tch,” then storms back out. Will The CEO pay for sucker punching Willow? Or will the Money Train run Willow over at Wembley?

AEW TNT Championship: Kevin Knight VS Chris Jericho!

How fitting that here in Las Vegas, The Jet is gambling with his own title. Darby Allin put the challenge out there for Falls Count Anywhere, and Knight said he’d consider that match for All In. However, he wants to get payback on Y2J, who is coming off a win from both Redemption against Tommaso Ciampa, and a win in the Grand Slam: Mexico all-star Six Man Tag! Is Jericho going to be the New Face of TNT? Or is Knight still 2Fly2Stop?

The introductions are made, but Knight is reluctant to give over the belt. Ref Aubrey Edwards says they can’t start until he does, so Knight hands it over. Then he jukes Aubrey to CLOBBER Jericho! The fans boo, the bell rings, and Knight fires off on Jericho in the corner! Aubrey reprimands, especially as Knight starts CHOKING Jericho in the corner! Knight stops at 4, then UPPERCUTS Jericho! Knight fires body shots, then forearms, but the ref counts. The fans rally for Jericho as Knight whips, and Jericho KICKS Knight! Jericho CHOPS, CHOPS, then reels Knight in for a suplex! Jericho holds Knight up before a BRAINBUSTER!

The fans fire up for Jericho and he fires them up more. Jericho then storms over to Knight, drags him up, and CHOPS! The fans “WOO~” for Jericho, and he CHOPS again! Knight staggers around, Jericho fires forearms, then CHOPS again! Jericho whips, Knight goes up and over, but Jericho catches him for the spin and BUTTERFLY BACKBREAKER! Cover, TWO! Knight is tougher than that but Jericho tells Callis off. Jericho drags Knight up as the fans chant, “You Still Got It!” Jericho bumps Knight off buckles, then puts him up top. Jericho ROCKS Knight, climbs up, and the fans fire up again as Jericho rains down fists!

The fans count along, Jericho gets nine, then “Viva Las Vegas!” TEN! And the SUPER STEINER! Knight goes tumbling away and the fans cheer. Jericho then LARIATS Knight up and out! The fans fire up again as Jericho goes up, up, and SUPER CROSSBODIES! Down goes Knight, and Jericho says hey to his old buddy, Paul Wight! The fans cheer JeriShow, and Jericho goes back for Knight. Jericho SMACKS Knight off the desk, then whips him at the railing! Knight goes up, QUEBRADA, but Jericho gets under! Knight comes back, sues the desk to get up, FLYING LARIAT! Down goes Jericho, and Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Knight talks trash on the fans, flexes, then he goes back to Jericho. Knight CLUBS Jericho, then stomps him. Knight SMACKS Jericho off the desk, making sure Wight is watching. Knight mocks the ol’ Big Show hand, then he UPPERCUTS Jericho. Knight refreshes the count, argues with the ref, but that lets Callis get a cheap shot in! Wight protests but Callis says do something about it. Knight goes out after Jericho to put him back in the ring. Knight goes up a corner, then leaps to LARIAT Jericho back down! Cover, TWO! Jericho fires up as he stays in this, but Knight is right on him with an UPPERCUT to the back!

Knight drags Jericho up to ROCK him in the back, but Jericho CHOPS! And CHOPS! And CHOPS! Jericho whips, Knight reverses, and Jericho hits buckles hard! Jericho falls back and Knight grins as he hurries after him. Knight puts Jericho on the ropes to CHOKE him! The ref counts, Knight stops at 4, and he argues with the ref again. That lets Callis get another cheap shot in! Callis tells the fans to cry about it! Knight goes after Jericho with a wristlock, but Jericho endures. The fans boo rather than count, Knight says shut up! But then Knight goes up to the- SUPER POWERBOMB!! High stack, TWO!!

The fans rally for Jericho as he has the legs! WALLS OF JERICHO!! The fans are thunderous as Knight’s in the Wall! But Callis gets in the ring! Jericho storms over to Callis, still holding onto Knight! Callis JAMS Jericho with the screwdriver! Yes, THE screwdriver! The fans boo but Knight is free! Jericho flounders to a corner, so The Jet goes COAST2COAST!! Cover, TWO!?! Jericho survives and Knight can’t believe it! The fans rally for Jericho but Knight goes up the corner. While Jon Moxley spars with Marina Shafir in the background, Claudio Castagnoli says that the Continental Challenge Cup is completely unpredictable. He doesn’t know who he’s wrestling next, but he doesn’t care. He’ll treat them all the same! Really. They’re just competing with themselves. Pac says, “Against the world.” Moxley says any number of crazy things can happen in this tournament. His road could end tonight, because Moxley and Jack Perry roll the dice in fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada. If you shock the world, Jack, is that luck or just preparation meeting opportunity? Are you as prepared as Moxley?

Do you live it like they live it? Is Jack ready like Moxley is tonight? Maybe it doesn’t matter. Because fortune has a habit of doing just as she pleases. Foley asks Kris her response, and she says she’s just gotta say, she feels great! She feels fantastic! She feels ready to fight. Now, Maya, Kris is so proud that you are the TBS Champion, and Maya deserves it. The fans applaud, but then Kris tells Perse and Shida… Kris will make them bend over backwards and shove their own heads up their own asses! For every belt shot, for every sneak attack, Stat Daddy is gonna make you pay! The fans like the sound of that! Kris says she was made for the TBS title! She fought literal wars for that title! But then Persephone interrupts with her entrance! The fans are torn as the CMLL Women’s World Champion gloats on her way to the ring.

Then Hikaru Shida makes her entrance, and clearly both Shining Samurai and Goddess of the Underworld are ready for a fight, too! But are they about to get it from Kris? NOPE, because here comes Thunder Rosa! And with La Mera Mera, it’s #ThatGirl, Maya World! Will the Mexican National Women’s Champion and the AEW TBS Champion put #PerseShida in their place? Or will the challengers all be rolling going into that Fatal 4 Way?

But what I’m not wrong about is knowing how far I’m willing to go at Wembley. Falls Count Anywhere. There’s no amount of training you can do to get ready for this, Kevin. And if you can beat me at my own game, then you’ve officially lived up tot he potential I saw in you all those years ago.” The Relentless One leaves it at that, but will The Jet book his flight to London to finish this?

Backstage interview with Kyle Fletcher & Don Callis.

Renee Paquette is with The Aussie Arrow and The Jackal, and she says huge congratulations for Kyle defending his International Championship- He stops her and says thank you, Renee. Mike Bailey always brings out the best of Kyle. But regardless, he is still in the midst of the greatest International Championship run of all time. Which brings him to the question of what is next for him and the title. If you’ve been keeping track, he’s not defended this title three times in three different countries, so let’s add another one to the list for number four. Therefore, he’s looking forward to the UK, to Wembley, and to All In.

Callis says he’s so glad Kyle brings that up. In his weekly golf game with Tony Khan, Tony brought it to Callis’ attention that there is a former International Champion who has yet to have a proper rematch. Kyle says please don’t say it’s Takeshita. Yes, but no, Callis was able to extract something from TK. See, there is yet another former International Champion that has not had their rematch: Kazuchika Okada! So it’ll be a Triple Threat! Kyle VS Konosuke VS RAINMAKER~! But no, see, here’s the thing! Callis knows some out there aren’t good at math so he’ll break it down: The Callis family has a 66% chance of retaining the title!

But Callis says with his guidance, there’s a 100% chance they retain the title! But what about KYLE’S chances? What about HIS reign?! Okada says the only thing that matters is that the International Championship stays in the family. Callis says that’s his guy! They fist bump and BOOM~! Kyle storms off, and Callis hurries after. Will Callis ever understand the problem here? And between Protostar, Alpha, and Rainmaker, who walks out of Wembley as THE International Champion?

AEW Continental Challenge Cup First Round: Jon Moxley VS “Jungle” Jack Perry!

It’s the moment of truth in this inaugural “C3” tournament! The Maniac can only remain the Continental Champion  if he makes it all the way to the finals and wins them, and that’s a big “if” even for Moxley! Will he take that first step towards retaining here tonight? Or will his tournament be all about that Tarzan Life?

The bell rings and the fans rally up. Jack and Moxley circle, feel things out, and the fans duel. The two clinch, go around, and Jack wrenches to hammerlock, then headlock for a takeover. Moxley headscissors but Jack kips free. The fans cheer as the two reset. The two circle, tie up, and Moxley waistlocks to then drop down for a leg. Moxley trips Jack and waistlocks, but Jack moves around. Jack fights up, powers Moxley to the ropes, and the ref counts the break. Moxley lets go, and the fans applaud as the two reset. They tie up again, Moxley powers Jack to the ropes now, but the ref counts. Moxley takes a swing but Jack dodges to CHOP! And CHOP!

Jack whips, Moxley reverses, but Jack ducks ‘n’ dodges to RANA! Moxley tumbles out and the fans fire up! Jack builds speed to WRECK Moxley with a dropkick! Jack then builds speed again, and he DIVES! But Moxley BLASTS him outta the sky! The fans fire up while Jack is down, and Moxley drags Jack up. Moxley POSTS Jack, talks trash, and the fans fire up. The ref says get this in the ring, Moxley rolls into the ring and waits on the count. Jack is still down at 5 of 10, but Moxley has the ref hold on. Moxley goes out after Jack, who has a bloody cut or two on his forehead. Moxley storms up on Jack, but Jack BOOTS back!

Jack ELBOWS Moxley, CHOPS him, and CHOPS again! And again! Moxley CLAWS the forehead, then SMACKS Jack off the desk! Moxley whips Jack into railing but Jack stops short. Moxley runs up but Jack dodge! Jack then SLIDED- NO, Moxley SLAMS Jack down through a table! The fans go nuts as Moxley stands tall, and Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Moxley makes sure the desk is tidy again and apologizes to commentary. Moxley then flexes and fires up as he goes back to the ring. The count starts again, but Jack is still down in the wreckage. Moxley goes back out at 5 of 10, and he fetches Jack from the mess in the timekeeper’s area. Jack is even bloodier than he was two minutes ago! Moxley SMACKS Jack off the desk again, then shoves him into the apron for a CHOP! Moxley stands Jack up, puts him on the railing, and ROCKS him! Jack sputters, but Moxley licks the blood that’s literally on his hands! Moxley puts Jack in the ring, DECKS him, then shows off the blood on his hands.

Jack sputters from behind the crimson mask, and Moxley stalks him to a corner. Jack stands up, Moxley CHOPS him! Moxley keeps Jack in the corner to CHOP and CHOP and CHOP again! Moxley then climbs up, and he rains down fists! Moxley goes past ten, then BITES the bloody forehead! The ref reprimands, Moxley stops, and Jack stumbles and falls. Moxley paces, Dynamite returns to single picture, and Jack manages to stand, only for Moxley to scoop and SLAM! Cover, TWO! The fans rally up but Moxley fires crossface forearms on Jack’s bloody face! And from all sides! Moxley shoves Jack down to smother his face in the mat!

The ref reprimands but Moxley CLAWS at the bloody forehead, and ELBOWS away on the wound! Moxley SHOVES Jack down, the fans are torn, but they all agree Moxley is sick! Moxley stalks Jack, drags him up, but Jack CHOPS! Moxley KNEES Jack in the face! Moxley drags Jack back, turns him over, and traps a leg. Moxley pulls Jack’s hair, then stops to trap the legs and headscissor! The fans rally as Jack endures the inverted Muta Lock, and Jack makes the ROPEBREAK! Moxley lets go to rope a dope, then he whips, COMEBACKER! But it does nothing to Moxley! The fans fire up as Moxley then BOOTS Jack down!

Moxley stalks Jack, and he gets in Jack’s face! “You wanna be a big boy? You wanna be a main eventer? This is your chance!” Jack pushes Moxley away but Moxley whips him to the corner. Moxley runs in, Jack dodges, and Jack comes back to DROPKICK! Moxley bails out, Jack DIVES, and direct hit this time! Jack isn’t done, he keeps moving! Another DIVE and Moxley is sent into railing! Jack keeps moving, and he FLIES! Down goes Moxley but Jack just goes right back up! ARIHARA MOONSAULT! The fans fire up as Jack finds new life! Jack rises, he brings Moxley up, and the fans cheer “A E DUB!” for making this match!

Jack rises up, up, and MACHO ELBOWS! Cover, TWO! And into a SLEEPER! REAR- NO, Jack rolls back to a cover, TWO! Moxley blocks a kick, spins Jack, and LARIATS! Then a GOTCH HOLD PILEDRIVER! Cover, TWO!! Jack survives and the fans fire up! Moxley paces around, drags Jack up again, and winds up to LARIAT! Cover, TWO!! Jack is still in this and Moxley nods. Moxley likes the grit Jack is showing, and he rains down forearms! The ref checks Jack but Moxley HAMMERS away! Is Jack even conscious?! The ref has Moxley back off to check Jack. Jack is dazed, the ref wants him to communicate. Jack sits up, rises up, and shakes his head.

The fans fire up as Jack is still in this, and he SLAPS Moxley! Moxley snarls, Jack flips him off! Moxley pushes the hand away, gets in Jack’s face, so Jack SLAPS again! Jack double birds Moxley this time! Moxley ROCKS Jack with a forearm! Jack just stands back up! Moxley ROCKS Jack again, but Jack spits and roars! Moxley fires another shot, and another shot, but Jack is not backing down! Moxley fires a flurry, then whips, but the COMEBACKER hits!! The fans fire up with Jack, but Moxley powers up, too! SUPERKICK from Jack!! Moxley falls, Jack roars, and he gets Moxley up! Jack reels Moxley in for a stalling- NO, Moxley BACKDROPS, but Jack sunset flips! TWO!!

Jack has the leg! SNARE TRAP!! Moxley flails, reaches out, and the fans are going nuts! Moxley claws at Jack’s hands, but Jack HAMMERS Moxley’s neck! SNARE TRAP!! Moxley endures, reaches out, punches at Jack and maybe himself! Moxley claws his way free of the crossface, but Jack fires body shots! SNARE TRAP!! Moxley fights, rises up, and he pries free to have the KIMURA!! Jack fights around, but into a BULLY CHOKE!! But Jack powers up again! The fans fire up as Jack stands, but Moxley keeps him from ropes! Jack is fading! The ref checks, Jack is not done! Jack roars, rises, but then fades again!

Moxley switches it up, REAR NAKED CHOKE!! The body scissors are in! Jack fades, Jack is OUT! Moxley wins!!

Jack Perry put up the fight of his life, but it just wasn’t enough against The Maniac! But he shows respect to Jack by helping him up and shaking his hand. Will nothing stop Moxley from proving he is the best at what this business is truly about?

My Thoughts:

A great Dynamite, but again I saw, AEW just needs to admit to themselves they want a three hour show, they keep going over their two hours and using up most of their overrun. It’s not as special to say something is a 2.5 or 3 hour special when we get that all the time by accident. That said, it at least means all the matches got to breathe. Though, not sure we needed Kris VS Viva other than to give Kris a reason to be out there and use it as a segue to the TBS title news. A Fatal 4 Way is great stuff, but given Kris won, and then Maya & Rosa won, is there going to be a new Heel champion already? A Fatal 4 Way does technically protect everyone, but I’d be surprised if a title changed hands before All In.

Case in point, Knight retains the TNT title in a great match with Jericho. Well, maybe not quite “great,” there were some sloppier parts because Callis wasn’t quite on the same page as everyone else. He got his cheats in but you could clearly see Aubrey having to turn away quickly on each of them. But hey, at least now we’re getting Knight VS Darby in Falls Count Anywhere, and they could use up the entire Wembley stands as part of it. Great promo from Callis, Kyle and Okada to set up a Triple Threat, and I guess we’ll see if Konosuke Takeshita returns as G1 Climax winner or what. But given that and how Konosuke is still NJPW World TV Champion, if there’s any new champ, it might be Okada.

Good promo from Divine Dominion talking down on The Brawling Birds’ way of life, but all the more reason they likely lose in London. Great bit of Mone attacking Willow, that’s very on-brand for The CEO. Also kinda funny that a fan was clearly audible shouting, “Sasha, come home!” Good promo from Hangman, Bandido & Brody, and Swerve returning here was a bit surprising. Demand & Lethal Twist showing up was the more expected development, but I wonder if Swerve tries for a trio after all this time. Perhaps with a certain free agent tag team? But until that happens, I would think The Good, The Bad & The Brody retain against Twist and/or Demand.

Great opening promo from Ospreay, but Callis having his guys go after him is a bit tiresome. Omega with the save was nice, though, and I like the implied turnabout from Redemption. Maybe Omega gets a tune-up match just to prove he’s not being a lazy champion, but it’s more likely Ospreay will be doing the on-screen wrestling to stay sharp for All In. Great Triple Threat from MJF, Bailey, and Nick Wayne, but of course MJF finds a way to win. His trick on Andrade showing up was a bit undercut by AEW sharing Andrade’s social media post saying he wasn’t cleared to travel and all that, so kinda dumb on AEW to have MJF even bother with that.

And great “C3” stuff tonight. Good promo from Bang Bang Gang with Foley, and a great match from White VS Finlay. Great win for White, this is definitely what he needs to not just move on from The Dogs but to get back in a title conversation. Let’s just hope and pray he stays healthy, he’s been injury cursed a lot in his AEW run. Very good promo from Death Riders, and then an awesome main event from Moxley VS Jack. Obviously Moxley was going to win, but kudos to Jack for getting so bloodied and fighting so hard as the underdog. We’ve still got Collision to wrap the first round, but I think it’d be too obvious to make round two Moxley VS Claudio, they gotta save that drama for the semifinals.
