And what’s next after accomplishing yet another accolade? Athena says she’d love to say she’s excited, that she’s ecstatic, and that she’s going to celebrate with kittens and whiskey and rainbows “and all of that crap.” But consistently, she is disrespected and disregarded, despite the fact that during said reign, she’s defeated the current TBS Champion AND the current AEW Women’s World Champion! SO WHERE’S HER FLOWERS?!

But Athena knows what’ll cheer herself up. She tells “William” that they’ll have a Proving Ground match to blow off some steam, as someone is ready to step up to the plate. Billie asks who they’ve got, and Athena says the world-renowned, world-traveled, so-called “Kick Demon,” Janai Kai. Oh! And y’know what? Last time they were in the ring, Janai didn’t even last three minutes. So when it comes to the ROH Women’s World Championship, it’s about maintaining dominance. Let’s go! Athena pats Billie really hard on the chest as she heads out, but will Athena get the respect she deserves? Or is she going to get caught underestimating her opponent?

ROH Women’s World Championship Proving Ground: Athena w/ Billie Starkz VS Janai Kai!

The Code of Honor is upheld, the bell rings, and the clock is ticking. Janai and Athena circle, tie up, and go around in a deadlock. Athena headlocks, grinds the hold, but Janai wrenches free to wristlock. Athena SHOVES Janai down, mocks the Kick Demon, but says this is her show! But then she narrowly avoids the thrust kick, sweep, and then some! Athena bails out to run into Billie’s arms! The fans cheer and Athena calms down. Athena and Billie both want the ref to back Janai up. Janai stays back as Athena steps in, then things speed up. Janai arm-drags, arm-drags again, then runs up at the corner to KNEE!

Janai keeps going, and she YAKUZA KICKS! The fans rally as Janai runs again, SLINGBLADE! The fans cheer as Janai runs and PENALTY KICKS! Cover, ONE! Athena is tougher than that, but she still crawls to ropes. Janai storms over, but Athena HAMMERS the toes! Janai suffers the drawback of just having footwraps! Janai staggers, but she runs back up. Athena puts Janai on the apron, but Janai blocks a shot! Ahtnea blocks a kick, has the leg in the ropes, and ROCKS Janai! The foot is stuck in the ropes, Athena trips Janai to then KICK the leg! Athena then steps on Janai! The ref counts, Athena backs off, and she runs to WRECK Janai with a dropkick!

The fans rally and Athena scowls. Athena goes out to stand Janai up and put her back in the ring. Athena KNEES Janai in the back, KICKS her, then KNEES her again! Athena throws Janai down, gets the leg, and KNEE JAMMERS! Then she KNEE JAMMERS the other leg! Athena shouts, “You think this is a game?! Huh!? This is MY show! These people don’t care about you!” Athena has a deep toehold to torture Janai! Athena then KICKS the leg! Janai crawls, Athena stalks her, but Janai fires a body shot. Athena grabs Janai by the face, stands her up, but Janai fires more body shots! Athena blocks the kick to KNEE BREAKER and DRAGON SCREW!

Athena turns Janai over, HALF CRAB! The fans rally as Janai endures, but Athena drags her to center! ANKLE LOCK! Athena puts on the pressure, but Janai still reaches out for ropes. Athena drags Janai way back, then turns her over, but Janai BOOTS free! The fans rally, Athena runs up, but Janai avoids the senton! Janai stands to SPINNING ROUNDHOUSE! Both women are down and the fans fire up! A standing count begins and the fans rally up. We hit the five minute warning so Janai’s already done her personal best. After winning the AEW World Trios Championships, Brody King, Bandido & Hangman Page regroup backstage, and Brody tells the others that he’s been thinking about this for a long time. Obviously, Hangman is the good, Brody is the big bad, so sorry, Bandido, but… Bandido says no, no, wait. Bandido makes sure to face away from the camera, and he shows them what he’s got under the mask. Wow, okay, definitely not the ugly then. Hangman says, in Espanol, that the point is, they’re champions, and they won here in Mexico! Hangman knows Spanish, does Brody? Brody admits, very little.

Bandido says hermanos, that’s not important. What matters is that they’re champions! Bandido thanks Mexico and CMLL for making this possible! They will represent Mexico and win for Mexico! But will Bandido be ready to turn around and defend his ROH World Championship against Nick Wayne? Or will Nick prove he IS The Prodigy?

Rocky Romero & Trent Beretta showed up, wanted an easy match, but got Alex Zayne & Mance Warner instead. And though RPG Vice still won, they had to go and bully The Sauce & Mancer for making them break a sweat. The Mad King & Monkey showed up to stop that, and now Rocky & Trent think they can bully them? Will Eddie & Ortiz send them crying home to Daddy Callis? Or will ROH soon belong to the DCF?

The teams cheer for Eddie as the teams sort out, but Ortiz starts against Trent. Trent does not uphold the Code of Honor, the bell rings, and the two circle. Ortiz steps to Rocky but Rocky backs off. Ortiz and Trent tie up, go around in a deadlock, then they break. Trent is already frustrated as Ortiz dares him to cross the line in the sand. They tie up again, go around, and Ortiz puts Trent in a corner. The ref counts. Ortiz backs off, but Trent gets a cheap shot off! The fans boo, the ref reprimands, but Trent talks trash. Ortiz shoves Trent, Trent fires a forearm, so Ortiz fires back! They go back and forth, then Ortiz HAMMER FISTS away!

Trent headlocks and he grinds Ortiz down. Ortiz keeps his shoulders up, fights around, and rolls Trent up, ONE! Trent still holds on but the fans rally up. Ortiz powers up and out, but Trent BOOTS him away! Trent runs up, but into a FLAPJACK! Ortiz makes sure Rocky stays back, then he tags Eddie. They get Trent up to DOUBLE SUPLEX! The fans cheer, Eddie covers, ONE, but Eddie has the wristlock. Trent CLAWS Eddie’s face, tags Rocky, and Rocky fires fast hands! The fans boo but Rocky rains down forearms! Rocky whips corner to corner, Eddie reverses to clinch and EXPLODER! Tag to Ortiz while the fans cheer. Eddie feeds Rocky to Ortiz for a clinch, LEG SWEEP STO COMBO! Cover, TWO! Ortiz stays on Rocky and ROCKS him! And ROCKS him again! Rocky flounders to ropes but Ortiz whips. Rocky blocks, then reverses, and Trent KNEES Ortiz at the ropes! Eddie survives and the fans fire up again! “This is Awesome!” but Rocky tags Trent. Trent says Eddie is done! Gotch lift and PILEDRIVER! Cover, Ortiz breaks it! And CLAWS Trent’s back! Caprice Coleman Chops It Up with The Kingdom.

Coleman welcomes us to the show, and he welcomes his guests, Mike Bennett & Matt Taven! But then they correct him: They are Michael Bennett & Matthew Taven now. Hold on, they’ve known each other since kindergarten, and it’s always been, “IIIII’M MATT TAVEN!” Yes, but now it is “IIIII’M Matthew Taven!” What brought on the change? Taven says Coleman’s seen The Kingdom do everything! They’ve been ROH Tag champs, Taven was ROH World Champion, they were even NJPW tag champs! They’ve gone all over the world! They’ve been so many places, Taven can’t remember ’em all. So many big memories, you gotta erase the small ones.

But now, they’ve hit a plateau. For some time now, they’ve been running in place, they haven’t gotten to where they wanted to go. So they had to turn to someone, somewhere, something to help them, please! Coleman says yes, things have changed since they came back to ROH, but they knew what the ROH Tag Division needed. But they changed something? Yes, because they needed an upper hand. Now, they’re all men of faith here. They can pray for good things to come all day long, and sometimes they do. But now, they need an intelligence they can’t find here on Earth. They look to one place for guidance, and Michael, where are they looking to?

Michael says it is simple. He and Coleman each reach up, but where Coleman is expecting one thing, Michael says, “Artificial Intelligence!” They have to look past humanity! Something bigger than them! Now, not what they’d normally talk about, but something they can talk to right here! Taven asked Sparta what they needed to do to change things, and it said, “Lean into your veteran savvy, a little more arrogance, a little more ‘We built this place’ narrative.” Taven said this thing knows them so well. Michael doesn’t understand why more team aren’t using this! Untapped gold mine! More teams should be using this!

If Michael had known about this 25 years ago when he started, you might not be talking to him right now, because he’d be a “bajillionaire!” AI is about to make them so much money and get them so many wins! He feels a little guilty telling people about this because it is unbelievable! Taven says they are trying to keep the secret, because they have the upper hand. Oh, time to change legs. Taven and Bennett change which leg is stretching over the other. Coleman switches with them. Coleman is pretty sure that The Kingdom already knows everything Sparta is telling them. They know who they are, how long they’ve been tagging, that they lean into veteran ability and savvy.

This is Matthew Taven & Michael Bennett! They don’t need a computer to tell them who they are! Michael asks how long does Coleman think it takes to study tape, to learn what works with his body. He has to do that on his own, use his brain. But now the power of EVERYBODY, it only takes seconds. Taven says he has to go out there and wrestle matches, but he worries, should his hair be up? Down? To the side? He just asks Sparta and it suggests a tight man bun. Michael, we’re checking the beard. We haven’t asked Sparta, but they’ll talk about it. They’ll talk about it.

Michael knows Coleman wrestled a long time, he knows how annoying it is to deal with graphic designers for merch. Michael just has Sparta generate an image! Okay, this one needs work, it made Taven blonde… But this one here is great! This could be millions of dollars, and they did it with his own fingers! No paying graphic designers, no asking for help, just right to their phones, bing bang boom, it prints money. Are they really the only ones doing this? Sure seems like it, cuz they’re still the best tag team in ROH! They’ve been outsmarting their opponents ever since they returned. And that’s not just coincidence!

Coleman says that’s from who they are! Taven adds, “Who we are now.” That’s the upper hand that no one else is using. All these teams wanna show off all the fancy things they can do, but Taven wants to win, and by any means necessary. Coleman starts to wonder… Could it get him into shape? He’s in great shape. But he’s not in AI shape. Only one way to find out! Just type the questions into Sparta, and he will tell you all! Sparta is smahta, wicked smaht. They’re just a couple Boston kids trying to figure stuff out. Sparta gives them the answers. So The Kingdom is now ran by AI, and this Kingdom is gonna bring championships home?

Taven says, “Michael & Matthew are more of a computerized Kingdom these days.” And Bennett sees it as people thinking AI can replace them at their jobs, but you can’t replace wrestlers! You can’t replace The Kingdom! They’re being enhanced by AI! Digital Kingdom? Computerized Kingdom. That’s a big change. It’s a change that’s necessary. Switch back. Coleman appreciates them taking their time. Coleman isn’t sold on AI yet, but he’ll watch them cuz he trusts them. No one else knows? Nope. Then Sparta will lead them to The Promised Land. CH’YAH! But will The Kingdom be increasing their efficiency? Or will the AI bubble burst before they know it?

After Tehuti Miles VS Dante Casanova…

It took a couple tries, but “Hooti Hoo” hits the Long Kiss Goodnight on this Casanova for the win. And then Shane Taylor Promotions appears! They’ve been watching him closely, and it seems the deal is struck! Tehuti shakes Shane’s hand, he is now STP! Shane then takes the mic and says, “Jacksonville. Let me introduce all o’ y’all to the newest member of Shane Taylor Promotions: Tehuti Miles!” Miles says you see that? Most sought after in the world! Shane says, “Rep the set, or expect disrespect. Rumble, bad men, rumble!” STP is growing bigger, growing stronger, but will they be getting gold to go with their growth?

Backstage interview with Eddie Kingston, Ortiz, and Mance Warner.

Sam Leterna is now with Mad King, Monkey & Mancer, and she brings up that while they won against RPG Vice, surely the aftermath of that match warrants unfinished business. Mance says absolutely, they’ve got unfinished business. But ol’ Mama Warner raised him right, so he politely asks Sam steps aside so he can talk. Enough said. Sam steps out, and Mance calls out RPG Vice! Y’all want violence from them? They will give you violence! Ol’ Mancer been learning rules, but he can forget ’em just like that! Violence you want? Violence they will give you! Ortiz says Trent should know better, but he’s pushing Ortiz to a place he put behind him.

But guess what? Ortiz will give RPG Vice exactly what they want! Ortiz will dust off the cargos, put on the Timbs, and he’ll stick his foot right up Trent’s ass! Eddie says 18 months. 18 months, he was out. The worst 18 months of his life. And then tonight, RPG Vice spikes him on his head. His fingers went numb, he started getting nervous, thinking about surgery and physical therapy and being out. And then he stops. Because he realized something. RPG Vice, you don’t wanna play this game, you really don’t. If you wanna go this far, you wanna take away Eddie’s love and passion, what defines him, he’ll take it from you.

Rocky knows Eddie very well, so let’s cut all the crap. Rocky knows Eddie, Eddie knows Rocky. You know what Eddie can do, so don’t play this game. Don’t. ROH Women’s World TV Championship: Red Velvet VS Isla Dawn!

The Secret Ingredient has been keeping it spicy this whole summer, and she’s still on a hot streak as the champion. But will she be tasting another sweet victory tonight? Or will the Wicked Witch change up the recipe?

Isla doesn’t even wait for the belt to be raised, she attacks Velvet from behind! The fans boo and the ref reprimands as she knocks Velvet down and stomps her around! The bell rings, the ref counts, and Isla backs off at 4. Velvet rises, Isla CLUBS her, but Velvet TACKLES Isla! The fans fire up as Velvet rains down fists! Both women get up, Isla RAMS low, then scoops to SLAM! Isla drags Velvet up, then scoops and SLAMS again! Isla scoops a third time but Velvet slips free. Velvet shoves Isla, but Isla dodges, only for Velvet to CALF KICK! The fans cheer as Velvet has Dawn in a corner. Velvet fires BODY SHOTS from all sides!

The ref counts, Velvet backs off, then she stomps a mudhole. Isla sits down, Velvet digs her boot in, and the fans cheer the splits! The ref counts, Velvet stops at 4, but Isla throat chops! Isla waistlocks but Velvet bucks the O’Conner. Velvet runs up, wheelbarrow, victory roll and FACEBUSTER! Isla flounders to the ropes, Velvet runs up, but Isla dodges! Velvet jumps into the ropes, and Isla SAIDOS! The fans rally up, Isla hurries to cover, ONE!! Isla is furious, and she KNEES Velvet in the back! And KNEES her again! Isla HAMMERS Velvet, but Velvet fires shots from below. Isla stomps and kicks away in anger!

Isla whips Velvet hard into a corner, and Velvet falls in a heap! The fans rally up but Isla brings Velvet up. Velvet fires shots, but Isla UPPERCUTS! Isla puts Velvet through ropes, bends her back with a dragon sleeper, but stops as the ref counts. Isla argues with the ref, then UPPERCUTS Velvet. Isla UPPERCUTS again, then reels Velvet in for a- CROSSBODY! Cover, TWO! The fans rally, but Isla KICKS Velvet down! Isla KICKS Velvet’s leg, then stalks her to a corner. The fans rally, and Isla pushes Velvet’s face. Isla CHOKES Velvet on the ropes, but stops as the ref counts. Isla whips Velvet back into the corner, then ELBOWS her!

The fans rally as Isla reels Velvet in, suplexes, GOURD BUSTER! Then METEORA! Cover, TWO! Velvet survives and the fans cheer! Isla slaps Velvet around while the fans rally up. Isla steps over Velvet for a COBRA CLUTCH with a stretch! Velvet endures, the fans rally up, but Isla puts on pressure. Velvet fights up, STUNNER! Isla staggers away while the fans cheer. Velvet stumbles, Isla CLUBS away on her! Isla KICKS Velvet down, then steps on her in the corner. The ref reprimands, but Isla PANCAKE PLEX! Bridging cover, TWO! Isla is frustrated, she covers again, TWO! Isla whips Velvet into the corner, runs up, but Velvet dodges!

Velvet runs up, but Isla dodges! Isla has Velvet in the ropes, CLUBS her, but Velvet avoids the knee! Velvet ROCKS Isla, HOTSHOTS her down, then she builds speed! But Isla avoids the dropkick! Isla spins Velvet, SLAMS her against the apron, then BOOTS her down! The fans are torn, but Isla steps on Velvet’s back. Isla pulls on an arm, and SNAPS fingers! Rather villainous of Isla, but she also CLUBS Velvet. The ring count is climbing as Isla gets in Velvet’s face. Velvet shoves back but Isla RAMS low! Isla RAMS Velvet into the apron again and again, then CHOPS her against railing! Velvet DOUBLE CHOPS in return!

Isla TACKLES Velvet, rains down fists, then she mocks the ring count. Isla refreshes the count, then KICKS Velvet in the side! The fans rally but Isla THROWS Velvet into steel steps! The new ring count is climbing, but Isla runs up! Velvet moves, Isla KNEES steel! Velvet runs up to METEORA against the steel! The fans fire up while both women are down! The ring count is still going, we pass 10 of 20. Velvet and Isla stir, crawl, and both women stagger to their feet at 15. They roll in, the fans cheer, and Velvet dodges Isla to LARIAT! And LARIAT! Isla is back up, slips around, ducks an elbow, but Velvet DDTS!

The fans fire up while Isla goes to ropes. Velvet runs and DOUBLE KNEES Isla in the back! Velvet then YANKS the ropes to send Isla tumbling. Velvet sets up, STANDING MOONSAULT! Cover, TWO! Isla toughs it out but the fans rally up again. Isla JAWBREAKERS, shoves, but Velvet wheelbarrows! Only for Isla to make it a WHEELBARROW GERMAN! Cover, ROPEBREAK!! Isla is furious as she sees her miscalculation! Isla snarls, goes to the corner, and climbs up. Velvet rises, hurries after her, and the two trade shots. Isla SHOVES Velvet down, adjusts, but Velvet CHOPS! Velvet then has the arms, ICONOCLASM! Cover, TWO!

The fans fire up as Velvet rises, but Isla snatches her into a cradle, TWO! ROUNDHOUSE! SAIDO! Isla fires up, runs up, SHINING WIZARD! Cover, TWO!! Velvet survives again and Isla is shocked! The fans rally up again, and Isla drags Velvet up. Dragon sleeper, but Velvet fires knees! Isla half nelsons, lifts, but Velvet VICTORY FACEBUSTER! Cover, TWO!! Isla survives and the fans fire up! Velvet winds up, “This is Awesome!” as Isla rises, then ducks the kick! Dragon sleeper, a gut wrench, and the POWERSLAM! Cover, TWO!! Velvet survives by nanoseconds and Isla cannot believe it! The fans fire up as Isla snarls and brings Velvet up.

Isla dragon sleepers, but Velvet snapmares into the cradle, and deep! VELVET WINS!

Isla is stunned! Victory was snatched from the jaws of defeat, and Velvet serves up another L! Velvet is 12-0 as champion, will she make it a baker’s dozen soon enough?

8 Man Tag: The Lethal Twist & Griff Garrison w/ The Frat House VS Dalton Castle, The Outrunners & Adam Priest!

Well, speaking of The Lethal Twist, Jay Lethal, Blake Christian & Lee Johnson want their shot at the ROH World Six Man titles, The Peacock & Youngest Men Alive are willing to take them on, but first, a little warmup. Will The Twist have chosen right with The Frat House’s MVP? Or will #AllGenresAdam be ready to jam with the champs?

The teams sort out, but they argue about Turbo wearing the belt. #TheBeltStaysOn, but then Blake and Truth just start throwing hands! The Twist and #Castlerunners explode into brawling, which is a bit shocking to Adam. The Six Man Champs and their challengers tumble out of the ring, leaving it to Adam and Griff inside. Griff CLOBBERS Adam, then he fires off while the others are still brawling! Griff whips Adam to a corner, then runs up, but Adam BOOTS him away! Adam fires off CHOPS and forearms, then whips. Griff reverses but Adam grabs the ropes. Griff runs up, but Adam TOSSES him out!

The fans fire up as Adam goes up, up, and SUPER CROSSBODIES onto Griff! The fans cheer, Adam puts Griff back in the ring, but Lethal tags in. Adam drop toeholds, then wrenches Lethal. Tag to Turbo, tag to Truth, and the Outrunners mug Lethal win haymakers and a BODY SHOT! KNEE LIFT, and Lethal falls! Truth covers, TWO! Truth drags Lethal up, wrenches, tag to Castle. Castle UPPERCUTS Lethal to a corner, then whips corner to corner. Griff takes the bump for Lethal, but Castle dodges Lethal to BOOT Griff down! Lethal JABS, whips, but Adam takes the bump! Castle catches Lethal toa  SLEEPER while Blake BOOTS Adam!

Castle whips Lethal, Lethal slides out, and he YANKS Truth down! Castle BOOTS Lethal, Blake & Lee attack Castle! Turbo runs upon Lethal, Lethal dodges once, but the SOUTHPAW hits! The Swirl puts Castle in the Tree of Woe, then Blake traps Turbo! Lee DROPKICKS Turbo, Blake BASEMENT 619s Castle, then Lee DROPKICKS! Blake ASAI MOONSAULTS The Outrunners! The fans are torn but Lethal goes back to Castle. Lethal drags Castle to a cocky cover, ONE, and the ref sees Lethal is stepping on Castle’s throat! The ref counts but Lethal stops at 4. Lethal says watch him strut on his ass! Lethal does the strut, then runs to basement DROPKICK! Cover, ONE!

Castle toughs it out, Lethal tags to Griff, and Griff CLUBS the arm. Castle goes to an open corner, but Griff BODY SHOTS! Griff whips corner to corner hard and Castle falls back! The fans rally for Castle but he runs to KNEE DROP! Cover, TWO! Castle is still in this but Griff brings him up. Tag to Lee, they mug Castle, then Lee bumps Castle off buckles. Lee stomps a mudhole in, but the fans rally for Castle. The ref has Lee back off, but then Lethal, Blake, and even the Frat House get shots in! The ref reprimands, Blake and Lethal stop, only for Blake to CHOKE Castle while the ref is busy with Lee again! Lee tags Blake, and Blake stomps Castle.

Blake wrenches and kicks low, then stands on a hand before he STOMPS it! Castle clutches his fingers, but Blake licks them, then SNAPS them! The fans boo while Castle goes to a corner. Blake taunts Castle’s team, then distracts so that he can stomp Castle again. Tag to Lee, they mug Castle, then run to BLAST The Outrunners! But then Castle DOUBLE LARIATS The Swirl! The fans fire up as Castle crawls, hot tags to Adam and Lethal! Adam CHOPS and CHOPS then dodges to LARIAT! And LARIAT! And whip, but Lethal goes up and out. Adam BLASTS Griff, then ROCKS Lethal up top! Adam goes up, up, and SUPER DUPER PLEXES! Cover, Griff breaks it!

The fans rally but Griff drags Lethal over to tag in. Adam dodges Griff to ROCK and CHOP and repeat! Adam whips, Griff reverses, then Griff dodges to BOOT Adam down! Griff gets Adam up in a torture rack, and RACK BOMB! Cover, TWO! Adam survives, Griff calls to Lethal. Lethal steps in, Griff stands Adam up, but Truth TACKLES Lethal first! Truth fires off on Lethal, they get out of the ring, but Lee CLOBBERS Truth! Turbo CLOBBERS Lee! Adam gets Griff in a HALF BOSTON CRAB! Griff endures, Blake goes up, but he SUPER SWANTONS onto The Outrunners! Preston Vance gets on the apron, Adam lets go to stare Vance down!

Griff gets up, and he waistlocks! They run to the ropes, but Adam ducks, Vance’s SUCKER PUNCH DECKS Griff! Vance freaks out, Adam waistlocks and rolls Griff, ADAM’S TEAM WINS!

The Frat House and Lethal Twist tried chaos, but chaos is what cost them! Wait, where’d The Lethal Twist and Six Man Champs even go? Are they going to brawl all the way to Death Before Dishonor? As for Griff, he is not happy, and he is not hearing it from Vance. But then he ROLLING ELBOWS Vance down?! Griff rains down fists on Vance, and Jacked Jameson has a mic. He spits on his Frat House hat and stomps on it?! Then he gives Griff the shirt to CHOKE Vance?! Jameson says, “Win or lose, we booze. Right, Vance? That was your idea, your catchphrase, your lifestyle. Guess what? We haven’t won a match, IN OVER A YEAR!!

“We’re sick of losing! We’re sick of boozing! And most importantly, we’re sick of YOU!” The fans boo but Jameson stomps away on Vance, with Griff helping! But then THE DARK ORDER rushes out here! Alex Reynolds and Evil Uno chase the former Frat House off! Griff & Jameson stand down, but even Vance is surprised by this. Uno & Reynolds look to Vance, and fans already chant “TEN! TEN! TEN!” Vance stands back up, looks at his former friends, and fans chant “HUG! HUG! HUG!” THEY HUG!! Dark Order gets their Ten back! Is this going to be the resurgence of The Dark Order?

My Thoughts:

A very good episode of ROH, but it was over two hours again for no real reason. Good promo from Athena to set up the Proving Ground match, and a pretty good showing for Janai in that match. A little surprised Billie needed to help in that match but I suppose that puts even more power on Janai. Good promo from Janai to call out Billie, they’ll have a solid match. And I guess the days of Billie rebelling are truly dead and gone, she didn’t even hesitate to do the belt smash on Janai after.

Good story builds in these other matches, like with Beef turning to the dark side and Tehuti Miles joining STP. I think Tehuti joins Infantry in the Six Man Division, letting Shane move up to the top title as he wishes. Action of course got a win tonight going into his TV title match with Lio Rush, but that was a very good promo from him with Lio “interrupting” with the magic of technology. Speaking of, great Chop It Up with The Kingdom, and that’s clever social commentary with the AI jokes. Good promo from MXM with Ian, though I was expecting a team to confront them during the time. But hey, at least MXM called out the tag champs. MXM VS El Sky Team would be quite the interesting match.

Very good Women’s TV Championship match, very good showing from Isla, but Velvet is staying strong. Not sure if anyone’s really being built up to take that title from her, but that feels par for the course on a lot of things in ROH. Very good 8 Man Tag match main event, and very good win for the Faces. Priest gets himself some momentum towards his own title aspirations, and the math was left even on the ROH Six Man title story. Great closing moment where The Dark Order forgives and accepts Vance. If Cole Karter can be healthy, I could see a Six Man Tag. Plus, once John Silver is properly healthy, and maybe if Alan Angels is okay with it, we could get The Dark Order back to where they were just a few years ago. They could even feud with STP as faction VS faction.
