Andrew’s iMPACT! Results & Ratings: 9.17.2026

Coming off last week there was a lot of moving pieces. Daria trying to screw Indi on Live TV…yes I know what I said. Kiera Hogan will be M by Elegance’s first opponent for the television title (which technically already broke the gimmick since it’s supposed to be defended weekly on television). BDE apparently played The Righteous for fools. Xia Brookside finds a way to survive Gaby Forza and Rohit Raju came back just to lose the qualifier match.

We may get some idea on who’s attacking everyone in the back, but at least we know that Nic Nemeth has beaten back both Hardys on the path to Bound For Gory. So it’s time to see what we got brewing for BFG!

Knockouts Television Title: M by Elegance (c) w/Elegance Brand vs Kiera Hogan w/Allie

Kiera got the pinfall on M during the tag match at Lockdown, so this actually makes sense that Kiki gets the first shot. This will have a 10 Minute time limit.

A tie up, that goes the way of Maggie first, but Kiera works back up and Maggie shows some World of Sport chain wrestling and uses her large height advantage. So Kiera hits a Drop Toe Hold and uses her…Large…Asset…to throttle Maggie against the ropes and then Drop the Step Up Leg Drop. Maggie stops Kiera from ramming her into the post, Sole Butt into a Block Buster for two! Maggie uses a Rear View as Kiera spanks her and then Maggie hits a Dropkick into a Bow and Arrow.

Kiera tries to fight up, but Maggie grabs the hair and throws her down. Fireman’s Carry, but Kiera slips it, strike combination, Sole Butt, Chops, Double Axe Handles into a John Woo and a Big Booty Hip Attack and sliding Bootwash for two. Kiera wants Face the Music, but Maggie with a Superkick into a Codebreaker for two. Maggie goes for the Moonsault, big miss! Missile Dropkick from Kiera, Kiera wants a Body Scissors, Maggie tries to turn it into an Package Tombstone, but Kiera fights it off, tries a Double Jump spot, but Maggie just grabs her down, picks her up and drops Kiera with the Package Tombstone. Maggie retains!

LJ Cleary vs Rich Swann w/BDE

LJ Cleary could be a really good get, he’s been all over most smaller promotions in Europe and the US. A little bit of an Irish Kit Wilson. Let’s see if the Irish Goodbye says hello to Bound For Glory.

A little tie up that LJ counters and fixes his hair for a little bit of personality, but then Rich does the World of Sport better than the Irish guy, as he then dodges Rich through the ropes a few times, plays around and then hits a Single Leg Dropkick. Rich and LJ have some rope run leap frog fun, Rich hits the single leg and then dances. They’re having fun doing some silly indi stuff, but they are very obviously having fun. LJ offers a shake, Rich shakes his hand and then snaps off a Sole Butt, PK to LJ’s back…and another as the crowd keeps asking for more, then Rich hits his Step Over Kick Back and LJ powders. The fact LJ and Rich are acknowledging some of the indi-riffic spots as fun, makes them more tolerable. Swann pulls out a chair, has LJ take a seat and then goes around the world to kick LJ in the face twice because the crowd keeps asking for another. Canada loves Rich Swann.

Rich goes for a third, but LJ gets in the ring and cuts off Rich with a Dive. Throws him back in, wants an Oscutter but Rich catches him with a Superkick. LJ using the ropes to his advantage, juke, jive, wail and Tope con Hilo. Throws Rich back in, but Rich hits the Golden Triangle Phoenix, tosses LJ back in, Frog Splash and a two count! Rich wants the legit Phoenix Splash but misses and LJ hits the Spicolli Driver for a near fall. Strike fest goes to the corner, Headscissor from Rich pulls LJ down, Marufuji style kick combination but Rich ducks the last one, hits his own kick, looks for a Lethal Injection but LJ counters with the Irish Goodbye! 1-2- kick out!

All of the dodges, rolling, Matt Cross style shoulder rebound, Lethal Injection! But only a 2 again! Swann connects with the Phoenix Splash, and finally wins!

Eddie Edwards & Cedric Alexander w/Lish vs Elijah & Ricky Sosa

Well, credit to Elijah, the Canadian crowd seems to really enjoy him. 

Elijah with a Shoulder Tackle, quick tag, Arm Breaker and Ricky fires on Eddie with a Lariat and Senton before Eddie hits a Throat Chop to tag out. A little back and forth but Ricky with the Snap Powerslam, and a tag out to Elijah. Elijah works over Cedric, her tries to fire back but gets caught in the ropes and Elijah hits a Superman Punch, then goes for his walk spot. But Eddie tries to cut it off, gets kicked, then Ricky Tope Con Hilo, Elijah drops the clubbing blow and Double Lariat Cedric out. Elijah and Rick hold serve, and play to the crowd for a bit. Elijah goes to collect Cedric and keeps him grounded…until Cedric just drives him back to Eddie and Eddie hits the blind tag. Elijah fights back, Ricky tag, a little bit of tandem work and Ricky throws some Punches, Chops and bounces Eddie’s face off the buckles.

There’s a lot of slow typical tag team spots. Cedric is legal and Elijah is legal, nothing of heavy impact, but The System still can’t find a rhythm. Elijah starts with boxing jab combination, sending him into the corner, looks for Highwayman’s Farewell, but Lish jumps on the apron and The System double team Elijah to take control. Eddie has Elijah down in a Headlock, Elijah tries to channel the crowd help, fights up, Back Kick to stop the momentum but then Eddie takes Elijah’s head off and knocks Ricky off the apron. Tag out, Cedric is grinding and clawing at Elijah’s face. A few Chops and another tag. Eddie chokes Elijah then distracts the ref, Lish joins in, Cedric takes a cheapshot and quick tags between The System members. The crowd is calling for Sosa, but The System keep trying to keep him at bay, but Eddie goes up, flies and Elijah catches him with a Knee Lift! Sosa finally gets the hot tag! Lariats, Trouble in Paradise, Cradle and springs it into a Cutter on Eddie! Final Cut from Sosa after an Avalanche Headscissors! Only a two, but the crowd is behind him.

Elijah takes out Eddie with a Shellshock, F5 from Elijah on Cedric and a Lionsault! Eddie breaks up the pin, Elijah takes him for a Walk, but Bear and Myers show up so Elijah jumps on them. Cedric tries the Lumbar-nope! Snap Dragon from Ricky Sosa into a Head Shot! Ricky wins!

System beatdown, chairshot and then a Package Piledriver leaves Ricky laying. Eddie says he’s been wrestling longer than Ricky Sosa’s been alive (which isn’t wrong). He’s gotta prove to Ricky, this life ain’t for him. Eddie challenges him to a match at Bound For Glory. Not a great promo from Eddie, but not the worst.

Ryan Nemeth vs Leon Slater

Nic is going to be on commentary, so this should be entertaining. It might not be anything of a match, but Ryan is money. 

Leon works over Ryan quick, 10 Count Punches in the corner, Rewind Feint Kick and Ryan has done a whole lot of nothing, Leon hits a Springboard Back Elbow, Plancha after Ryan powders and then Leon gets distracted by Nic. Ryan catches him on the way back in because he took too long, Rude Awakening for two. Heavy Irish Whip, Splash, and starts driving Elbows down on Leon. Leon fires but then Ryan smashes Leon’s face into buckles, and keeps him grounded.

Hannifan tries to call Ryan a “Nepo Baby”, Rehwoldt takes the Zilla Fatu angle and calls him a “Nympho Baby”, which gets a good reaction out of all of them. Nic, Matt and Tom are a great trio. Leon bounces off the ropes, Leg Lariat, Yakuza Kick, goes up but jumps over as Ryan tries to cut him off and another Leg Lariat. Ryan sells to the corner half dead, Splash to the Back, Utopia and Ryan is in the landing zone. Swanton 450, Leon wins.

Nic attacks Leon after the win, bites him, mugs him and Ryan comes to, holds Leon for the belt shot spot. 

Zoey Serrano vs Harley Hudson

Zoey slams Harley down and starts doing pushups. Two women who utilize their physiques, Zoey more for power, Harley more for a sexy muscular vibe. Zoey Overhand Chops the life out of her chest though. Zoey had the size advantage, but such a short temper she actually has security following her around after attacking a fan last week. Harley ducks a Chop, hits a few of her own until Zoey throws her down and grabs a Headlock.

Harley fights up but Zoey keeps her grounded and applies a modified Camel Clutch. Harley fights up again, Snapmare, a few punches land, Lariats and a Big Boot drops Zoey and a Headbutt seems to daze Zoey. Hip Attacks from Harley show some vulnerability for Zoey. Harley with the Fireman’s Carry but Zoey slips it, they wrestle for position, Victory Roll but kick out, Gamengiri into a German Suplex and a Fisherman’s Neckbreaker from Zoey! Only a two count. Harley turns the Powerbomb into a Sunset Bomb for a two count!

Zoey gets tripped, draped across the apron, Leg Drop from Harley but Zoey kicks out. Harley tries to position Zoey for something but a big Thrust Kick from Zoey, Knee Lift then Hell and Back! Zoey wins!

Daria walks out, the crowd calls her “Diarrhea”, Daria goes all Mortal Kombat and tells Zoey that Harley didn’t learn her lesson, Finish Her! Indi comes out for the save, Daria says she’s on borrowed time and Zoey with Daria is a potentially impressive duo is Daria puts the boots back on.

King’s Crown vs Career: Frankie Kazarian w/Avery Styles vs Moose

Kaz starts fast with trying the Chicken Wing and a few quick Cradle attempts. Kaz teases him, goads him through the ropes, has Moose off kilter, hits the Springboard Guillotine Leg Drop, but only a two. Kaz is out positioning him, big kick, but the Go To Hell finally gives Moose a chance to catch his breath. Kaz powders to the apron, Big Boot from Moose and Kaz careens to the announce desk. Moose eyes a Plancha, Kaz dodges, Moose lands on his feet, Kaz slides in, tries the Slingshot Cutter but Moose doesn’t feed and once Kaz lands on his back, Slingshot Splash to the inside from Moose. Big Chop, Escalera from Moose but Kaz counters with the Cutter!

The Cutter is giving Kaz all the advantage, he throws Moose into the steps, works him over, but Moose fights through it and Whips Kaz to the Steps and Kaz spills over them. Moose recovers, the crowd is behind him, he asks for quiet, they listen, big Chop sound! And repeat one more time. The Canadian crowd is doing well playing along. Moose whips Kaz into the post and steps as Kaz just crashes ugly. Moose wants the British Bulldog Power Slam into the post, but Kaz slips it and posts Moose.

Back in the ring, Kaz starts slapping around Moose, rope run, double pass and a Dual Lariat spot where both go down. Fighting Spirit that makes sense with both just throwing haymakers, Chops from Moose, Frankie cuts him off and throws a few Lariats but Moose fires, Headbutt! Goes for the Discus Lariat, Kaz dodges, Uranage but counter, Power Bomb flip  through from Moose, Carbon Footprint, Kaz Lariat and covers, Moose kicks out at 1 and tries to hulk up! He pulls the truck horn, “Moose”, Kaz keeps hitting him and here’s Moose’s hulk up spot, another big Headbutt, Lights Out! Moose crawls to Kaz and Kaz rolls away to the outside to avoid the loss.

Kaz is limping around the ring, just trying to avoid Moose but Moose stalks him, charges, Back Body Drop and Moose goes through the Timekeeper’s Table! Kaz slides in and hides in the corner willing to accept a count-out. Moose is lifeless around 4, finally starts moving at 5. Moose is army crawling to the ring, 9….Moose barely beats the count but Kaz Baseball Slides him back out, Kicks him like a scolded dog and then a Slingshot DDT into the apron is ugly, but it works for match. Not botch ugly, just bowling shoe ugly. Kaz goes for Fade to Black and hits it! 1-2-KICK! Kaz is trying to figure out what to do next, looks like Chicken Wing.

He pulls Moose back and has the Chicken Wing…mostly in. Kaz never really did a great Chicken Wing, but it’s in about as good as Kaz usually does it. The crowd tries to will Moose up, arm almost drops, but Moose Hulk up again! Turns it into a pinfall, Kaz kicks out, Lights Out again! But Kaz kicks out a 2.8! Moose wants another, but Kaz counters, no, Kaz goes for a Springboard but Moose catches him with a Spear, another Lights Out and Moose’s career survives!

Moose takes a chair and shatters the crown! 

Overall Score: 7/10

We got two, really good matches. Cleary and Rich was a lot of fun. While I don’t love “indi”style, the fact they did that, while also hamming it up, makes it less egregious to me. LJ is a respected independent guy, who hasn’t really had the chance to breakthrough yet. TNA needs to start jumping at keeping some of them. Would Josh Bishop or J-Rod be great? Sure. And we have no clue who the two people behind the Matt Hardy attack were, but Adam Brooks, Shazza McKenzie, LJ Cleary, just to name a few…they need contracts. The second really good one being Moose and Kaz. While I don’t think it quite had the gravitas they were going for since things felt a little messy towards the end, it was still good and did feel like a personal enough battle.

Kiera Hogan was also a great first challenge for Maggie, she’s credible enough, but also playing up the fact that it’s her first singles match in over a year, did imply that the champion had an even larger advantage. Zoey looked damn good, and Harley just looked out muscled, she looked like she belonged, just Zoey was on a different level. Daria pulling out the Mortal Kombat, “FINISH HER!” did pop me quite a bit. Also giving Ricky the pinfall and having Eddie challenge him for Bound For Glory is a wonderful foundational situation for Ricky. He’s still new to the company, and if he can rattle off a few wins against former champions and hold his own in other matches, he’ll be on the fast track for 2027.

And lastly, poor Skyler…he wants the mean hot girl and she’s well…mean and hot. I do have a little sympathy for him, because even when they were comedy job guys, he was always a good friend to Hotch. So Skyler has always been likable even though he’s been positioned as a heel 90% of his TNA run. So it was a good show, and hopefully Skyler lets Tasha beat the crap out of Mila. Time for Hotch, Tasha and Skyler to make their own faction with Blackjack and Hookers…Steel Handz incoming!
