Andrew’s JCW Lunacy Results & Ratings: Ep# 99

JCW American Title is on the line! We need a new #1 Contender after Shane Mercer took out James Storm! Can Kerry Morton survive GCW?

Published

on

It seems like James Storm is kayfabe out due to Shane Mercer’s attack, so the Episode 100 main event is gone. With episode 100’s main event being up in the air, with Kerry Morton having to run the deal with multiple GCW goons in his 5 Minute Challenge, and Painful Paul single handedly decimating the Lucianos and HoKane snapping on a conflicted Barnabas again…there’s a lot of moving pieces. Plus…Jasmin should be close to popping any week now with Mr Happy’s baby.

Time to see what kind of insanity we get!

Results:

Violent J, a hungover Sally Boy and Caleb Konley are complaining about the James Storm injury. Caleb tries to politic for Orange Phantom, but Shane Mercer walks in asking where his money is. J understands it was a set up, so he says that Big Vito never gave Sally Boy shit, so Uncle J will step up. Sally Boy will face Shane Mercer, the winner will be Caleb Konley’s opponent at episode 100!

JCW American Championship: Father Bronson (c) vs Mr. Happy

Father Bronson is talking about family since he’s about to face the expecting father, never having one and giving a demented childhood story of being told to draw a family but Red Love took over his artistry even as a child.

The crowd is chanting for Happy as he hugs the referee and the cameraman, but Bronson cuts off the joy. He says that Mr Happy isn’t fit to be a father, chides him and grabs the Happy Bear! Bronson turns his back as he keeps ranting, and then Happy gets pissed and levels him. However the mask comes off of Happy Bear, so Mr Happy has to put the mask back on, allowing Bronson a few Muay Thai knees before Happy Fun Splashes him, then Splash in the corner, hits the rope run, but Bronson moves and hits the Chop Block. Bronson then wraps the leg around the post, and starts to dissect the 600 pound father-to-be. Bronson goes for a Rear Naked Choke, and Happy seems to not be upset with the situation. The crowd is chanting for Happy, so he rams Bronson into the corner, then Splash from corner to corner, misses the third, but Bronson eats a Waterwheel Kick from Happy!

Happy is about to splash Bronson again, but Bronson grabs the bear to stop Happy, plays keep away, the referee tries to get the bear, Bronson Low Blow, then he goes into the diaper bag! The referee pulls the bag away but Bronson has a hold of the baby powder, loads up the hands and blinds Happy with baby powder. Hits his Springboard Knee as Happy stumbles around blind, and Bronson retains!

Back in the back, Sally is admitting to enjoying his time with the JCW, so Willie opens door and in walk a bunch of Juggalettes, but Willie tells him no fun until after he wins the match. Kerry Morton then walks in, awkward and asking for a favor. Violent J says there’s something about him that they like even though he can be kind of a little sleazy bitch made bitch sometimes, but they agree to help him. Violent J throws a shirt at him, tells him to put it on, just not in their locker room. The assumption is that it’s a JWO jersey.

Choppa City come out to officially challenge The Headbangers for next week. Than they go Choppa Karaoke and they do the “Shots Shots Shots” LMFAO song, but turn it into Chop. Then Bruce says “What does the 5 fingers say to the face” and the Backseat Boyz music cuts them off. This turns into…a match?

JCW Tag Team Championship: Choppa City (c) vs Backseat Boyz

Tommy and Atiba kick off, Up and Over from Atiba, Brain Chop, then tag to Bruce and we get a Chop Stampede. Tandem Chop Breaker, quick tags, and Tommy has been eating everything. Bruce panders too long, Tommy hits a Jawbreaker and finally tags out to JP. A quick tandem attack, but Bruce Lariats, then Leg Lariats JP, but a weird Low Bridge, into shenanigans and a weird sloppy double team, leads to Backseats taking over. Wishbone into an Iron Claw, then he attacks Atiba, pissing off Atiba, so the referee stops Atiba, cheap shots and double teams, quick tags and tandem Hip Attack and Bulldog, keeps the Backseats rolling. Bruce with the Double Lariat, Tommy tries to stop him but Bruce hits the Batarang! Simultaneous tags, Atiba is pretty healthy comparatively, Chops, Wheelbarrow Suplex, Norman Smiley Scoop for both, but Tommy breaks up the pinfall.

Choppas toss out Tommy, Sucka…oh no, Thrasher walks out to distract. Mosh attacks Atiba from behind, Low Blow, JP goes for the pin, Backseat Boyz win!

The Low Bridge spot was messy, but honestly the fact that interreference cost the Choppa the title when their entire reign it’s been saving them, it’s a poetic moment.

In a little bit of a swerve, Violent J goes back to see the Backseats and tells them, that only he and Vince Russo have the power to make championship matches. So he tells the Backseats they didn’t win shit and the ratings follow Headbangers vs Choppa City for the titles. Not sure if that means the tag titles are vacant now, or if Choppa City are still the champs? But Backseat Boyz are definitely not the champs.

Dani Mo walks out with the Outbreak, enjoying herself because she defended her title and won The Outbreak at BloodyMania. So she calls out Big Al for a little bit of a promo throwdown but Barnabas stumbles out looking defeated. The crowd is cheering for Dani, and Barnabas says they should cheer her for everything he put her through. Says he loves Jacksyn and Abel. Barnabas tries to say that when he snapped it wasn’t him, when she called him a Deadbeat Dad is touched a nerve so he decided to be a piece of shit instead of admitting she was right. Barnabas is sounding like he went to therapy. Barnabas wants to mend the bridge, he gets on his knees to grovel.

Before Dani can respond, Hokane’s music hits. Hokane attacks Barnabas, I do like how Hokane’s theme music sounds like a Devil’s Carnival song. Dani, Jacksyn and Abel just watch…but Jacksyn finally pulls off Hokane. Hokane slaps them both so Dani finally gets involved. Dani pulls Hokane off, they stare, and Hokane retreats obviously shook. Dani looms over Barnabas as Barnabas cowers in the corner…and then Dani, Jacksyn and Abel leave.

5 Minute Challenge with Special Referee Mad Man Pondo: Kerry Morton vs Team GCW (Marcus Mathers, Otis Coger, Nick Gage & Slade)

I have mentioned that I hate GCW and really enjoy Kerry Morton…right?  Kerry does reveal the JWO jersey under his ring jacket!

Pondo is trying to get the match started as Kerry is staring down the whole crew yet to walk in, but the crowd is chanting for Kerry. Mathers starts against Kerry, Kerry attacks immediately and looks for a quick Roll-Up, Scoop Slam, wants a Kiss it Goodbye but Nick Gage grabs Kerry, pulls him out and uses the guardrail. Otis Coger attacks Kerry on the way in, Senton, Release Suplex sends Kerry flying and Slade tags in. Slade is stomping the life out of Kerry, Pondo gets in the way, Slade and Pondo have a moment but Pondo doesn’t hit him. Kerry keeps getting laid out.

Marcus Mathers comes back in, Kerry fires back a little but Slade sways Kerry and Mathers hits a Back Elbow. Kerry can’t get room to breathe. Nick comes in and works Kerry over in the corner. The crowd wants Kerry to win, but Kerry is getting dog walked. 2 Minutes left, and Kerry hasn’t had any real chance since the flash Roll-Up. Slade has Kerry in a headlock, and keeps him grounded. Kerry flips out of the back dop, posts Slade, Mathers tags in, Kerry is on fire suddenly! Drop Kick, KISS IT GOODBYE! But Lauderdale distracts Pondo and then Slade attacks Pondo, so Pondo DQs GCW. Kerry wins via DQ! Kerry looks confused and then GCW attacks Pondo, so Kerry saves Pondo.

Gage saves Lauderdale, so the numbers catch up with Pondo and Kerry! Kerry and Pondo get handcuffed to the ropes, GCW wants to crown Pondo and Kerry, but out comes the JWO for the save. Willie, Tony and Painful Paul. GCW bail, but they grab chairs and slide back in to attack. GCW grabs a table and gasoline. They’re about to put Tony through a flaming table as payback! Violent J’s music plays, J is there with a Kendo stick, but Sally Boy shows up behind him, grabs the Stick and starts attacking GCW for Violent J.

Sally Boy looks ready to fuck people up. This is an interesting side of Sal. Vito and Vincenzo are in the back calling him a traitor and they’re gonna take him out tonight.

JCW Lunacy World #1 Contender Match: Sally Boy vs Shane Mercer

Sadly for Sally Boy it looks like the Luciano Family may ruin his chances, but it might be fun for a while.

Sal comes out fast, a few punches until Shane palms and lifts Sal with one arm, holding him up before dropping him. Then a Release Belly to Belly sends Sally to the outside. Sal tries to fight back but Shane drives him into the guardrail. Sal starts to fight back, Shane tries to fling Sal, but Sal slips it and posts Shane! Sal with the PK but Shane grabs the foot and Sal goes face first! Shane gabs Sal’s legs and swings him from apron to guardrail and just treating him like a dummy. Shane clubs Sal across the face with his Forearms, and Sal is half – HOLY FUCKING X-PLEX! Shane goes for the pin but Shane kicks out and Shane locks in a headlock.

The crowd helps Sal rally up, but as Sal tries to go for the Rope Run, Shane grabs the Headlock tighter and swings Sally Boy around and grounds him. Sal manages to Elbow the ribs to break the hold but Clubs across the face and a Rear Naked Choke with Body Scissors keeps Sal down until the Elbows help him work up, dueling Headbutts but Sal flips over Shane, Enzuigiri, Big Boot, Front Roll Dropkick from Sal! MAFIA KICK FROM SAL! But Vincenzo is on the outside distracting the referee. Vito comes behind Sal, Kendo Sticks for Sally Boy. Shane stares at Vito and you can tell he doesn’t appreciate the help.

Shane seems marginally conflicted but sets up Sal for Moonsault and Battery, but Sal tries to fight, but Shane shows off his power by Single Arm Pressing Sal, then Moonsault and Battery! Shane wins!

Overall Score: 7/10

Still not totally sure if Choppa City are still the champions, but it is still a Tag Championship match in 2 weeks at Carnival of Chaos. Sally Boy has already proven a lot being with the JWO, he cuts a decent promo, puts on a decent match when he’s not being held down, so his challenge to Vito for Carnival of Chaos could be good. Orange Phantom is still hilarious with the vignettes, not sure when we’re gonna actually see him though. Caleb not seeming concerned about Shane Mercer confuses me a little. Either he thinks he’s got plenty of insurance to handle Shane, will just pay him off or something else is up.

Pondo disqualifying GCW was the only real way out of a 4 on 1 mugging match, so I’m not mad with the obvious answer. Much like I’m not mad that Vito and Vincenzo cost Sally Boy the main event. Sometimes the obvious answers are the best ones. Barnabas, Hokane and Dani is still a weird situation. And we’re also going to be reaching the third and final week where Kerry will have to survive. So lets see what kind of crazy thing Vinny Ru is gonna try and throw at Kerry.

To reiterate one more time, I do really like how Choppa City lost the match because of interference. Even though they didn’t lose the titles, there was something poetic about Choppas losing the same way they usually win. Good show, fell…slightly flat compared to last week, but still really good!
