Andrew’s MLW Kings of Colosseum Results & Ratings: 9.5.2026

Welp, its not secret that I’ve been pretty disappointed with most of this MLW Fusion/YouTube return. Squash matches weekly, garbage brawls that go nowhere, episodes edited in such a way that they undermine the product looking just, amateurish and pathetic. Let’s hope that this specialty event is better than Blood and Thunder, which was just a bad episode of Fusion with extra steps.

It would be nice if this was enjoyable, and I’m a big fan of Templario and Josh Bishop…so let’s hope we get at least two tolerable matches. And yes, I don’t have anything against Killer Kross either, but he’s just been in very lame matches so far in what MLW has shown.

Ratings:

  • MLW World Middleweight Championship: Templario (c) vs Diego Hill: Templario retains via Debario – ** 1/2
  • Lady Frost vs Corinne Joy w/Jazzy Yang: Lady Frost wins via Killer Driller- *
  • Big Damo w/Josef Samael vs Andrew Everett: Damo wins via Cóiste Bodhar – SQUASH
  • MLW World Heavyweight Championship No Holds Barred Match: Killer Kross (c) vs Josh Bishop: Kross retains via Kross Jacket – ***

MLW World Middleweight Championship: Templario (c) vs Diego Hill

Early rope run that Diego cuts off with a Dropkick sending Templario out, Diego follows it up with a Sasuke Special. Templario gets fed back in, Diego hits a Crossbody that Templario tries to catch but can’t. They charge back and forth, no selling, GTS, Enzuigiri, Pump Kick and Busaiku Knee with them both being down. Too much no selling, as Templario Spin-a-roonis back up but Diego dodges and his a Springboard Thrust Kick. Diego goes for the top rope Phoenix Splash on Templario’s ankles. Templario manages to kick out and then powder up the ramp.

Gamengiri number 1 is blocked, number two rocks Templario, but when Diego tries to follow it up, Templario hits a Powerbomb throwing Diego back into the ring from the ramp and then hits a Springboard Frog Splash for two. Scoop Slam and another near fall for Templario. Back Elbow from Diego, Diego wants a Lethal Injection but Templario stops it, pushes him back off and hits the Snapping Power Slam. To the top rope, Diego cuts off Templario, they take too much time balancing on the top as Diego eventually hits the Avalanche Headscissors…but it took entirely too long. Sole Butt from Diego, Oscutter and only two.

Diego kicks Templario in the head, then another in the back and the shifting for positioning is stupid and obvious, but Templario dodges the 450 and Power-Breaker! Templario covers him and wins the match.

Another typical all flips no logic garbage match. If you like the flippy dippy modern trash  of no sells and 46 false finishes, sure, you’ll rate it higher. But this was empty calorie wrestling.

Lady Frost vs Corinne Joy w/Jazzy Yang

Lady Frost comes out hot and has to get stopped by the referee twice, so Corinne hits a Dropkick with the space and tries to continue but Frost takes her head off and starts…woman-handling Corinne? Frost goes for a very lax cover, so Corinne kicks out, but Front drills in a few Forearms. Corinne fights back up, she Cartwheels to block the Lariat, but then plays to the stupid phone camera that Jazzy has on the outside. So Frost mugs her and then choke her against the ropes and claws her face. Frost kicks the hell out of Corinne, she powders to Jazzy but Frost Wrecking Ball Dropkick wipes out Corinne and Frost is looking to murder the kids.

A kick combination rocks Corinne, Cartwheel into an Air Raid Crash that Frost calls the Killer Driller.

This wasn’t really a match, and as Frost continues the beating, Shotzi makes the save to send Frost walking off smug.

Big Damo w/Josef Samael vs Andrew Everett

The dumbest most Indiriffic gimmick. Damo is going to kill him and I will cackle. Everett went from a Cruiserweight with some future to an idiot.

Everett tries to Dropkick him and he brushes it off, tries to shoot the half and is shrugged off, Everett flies, Damo moves and catches the imbecile with a Flying Crossbody. Damo Fish Hooks Everett and then clubs his Forearm across Everett’s face before flinging him into the corner. Pop-Up Bomb, Elbow Drop, but Everett kicks out at two. Damo drives his elbows into Everett’s eyes, rips at his face, bounces him around the corner buckles again. Damo wants a Back Drop but Everett flips, a few boots, ducks a line, Dropkick that Damo ignores and gets more angry about.

Springboard just bounces off Damo and Damo Sentons into Everett! Cóiste Bodhar, and Damo wins. Cóiste Bodhar is a Lifting Inverted DDT, and is the name of the Death Coach in Irish Folklore.

MLW World Heavyweight Championship No Holds Barred Match

Bell rings and Josh attacks. Big Money Josh starts with a few right hands, Shoulder Tackles and a Running Splash back to back. Bishop lifts Kross and Snake Eyes Kross! Bishop rips the top turnbuckle off after the Snake Eyes, and he’s already looking to kill the Killer. Bishop peppers in some Kinfe Edge Chops, points to the exposed buckle before Headbutting Kross a few times. Lifts Kross again for the Snake Eyes, but Kross slips it and shoves Bishop face first into the steel! Kross grabs him to drive him into the exposed buckle again, and Kross finally has room to breathe.

Bishop is bleeding, Kross punches the wound to get a “Blood King” chant going. Ground and Pound from Kross, and then Kross starts stomping on Bishop. Kross mocks Bishop writhing in agony, but Bishop manages to reveres a Whip and then hits a Release Choke Exploder before Lariating Kross to the outside. Bishop finds a push broom under the ring and chokes Kross with the handle. Bishop finds a broken table, a kendo stick and some more fun toys. Bishop looks to be enjoying his bleeding.

Grabbing a toolbox, Bishop wants to cave in Kross’ head, but Kross punches him in the face and Kross manages to connect on a few strikes to stun Bishop. Trash Can lid attacks from Kross seem to fire up Bishop before the third lid shot. Kross starts taking off the Ring Apron Skirt, but Bishop finds a Fire Extinguisher, sprays Kross. Then Bishop starts working on the ring skirt. Bishop goes back to the toolbox, but Kross is back up, mockingly checks a non-existent watch before hitting Bishop. Kross wraps the chair around Bishop’s head and posts him.

We go to a brief commercial and when we’re back, Kross is taking the ring apart. Lifting the foam, exposing the wood, and Kross looks to hit Bishop into the wood but Bishop counters it! Bishop grabs the World Title, clocks Kross with it! Bishop Choke Slams Kross into the mess, but Kross kicks out. Bishop grabs two chairs…and the broken table piece and makes something to kill Kross with. Bishop sets up for a Chokeslam, but Kross kicks Bishop in the balls and hits the Doomsday Saito into the structure of chairs and table piece. Kross hangs the belt across the ropes, tells Bishop to go get it and hit him with it. Kross locks in the Kross Jacket as Bishop is close to grabbing the belt. Bishop passes out and Kross retains.

It was edited poorly and choppy so there wasn’t a correct amount of tension between the match beats. The match could’ve been a great hardcore match, but instead was just…okay. So sick of the show of respect crap especially when one is supposed to be an unabashed heel.

Overall Score: 4/10

These matches are ass, the show is edited in a way that makes segments feel choppy and insignificant, and even the title matches are paced poorly. We don’t need a God Forsaken Squash match for every damn week. This show is nearly 4 months old. Like I said last week, the H.A.T.E. promo is for when they came over…IN JUNE! It’s SEPTEMBER. Canned footage of 3-4 months is pathetic, especially when it’s glued together by the 3 Blind Mice editing company.

Your matches are rushed garbage with no sense of tension or suspension of disbelief, the only enjoyable things about these episode have been the comedy stuff either with Don Gato or The Good Brother. I don’t know what to say anymore beyond, this is a pathetic show to watch. Especially since I remember how beautiful Fusion used to look, and now we get…whatever the hell this is.

Catch up to the present. No one wants Halloween gimmicks at Christmas, you need to start speeding through the crap that doesn’t matter, pay better editors, and STOP HAVING A DAMN SQUASH MATCH OR TWO ON EVERY SHOW! Squash matches are loser time filler crap…you only have to go 45 minutes, YOU DON’T NEED FILLER.
