TNA Knockouts Championship on the line tonight! Rohit Raju returns for a qualifier! TNA World Title: Nic Nemeth vs Matt Hardy!
Matt Hardy is on his crusade of accusation, and it’s all aimed at the Kaibas…I mean the Nemeths. Even though someone threw Ryan down the steps as well, Matt is still determined to get his pound of flesh. We also saw Joe Alonzo debut in a decent X-Division qualifier match, he’s really just discount Ethan Page but at least it’s starting somewhere.
Maggie also served up Heather to Elayna Black, which seems like we’re starting to finally see cracks in the Elegance Brand, and good, that gimmick has sucked since ASH partially retired and jumped the shark hard when they integrated Mr Elegance. However for good things, I am glad to see Rohit Raju back, even if its only for one random match. Is he probably losing to Fabian Aichner? Yes. But it would be nice for him to come back, he was the best thing about the Desi Hit Squad.
Now let’s get to the current show!

Elayna Black vs Heather by Elegance w/Elegance Brand
Ahh the show kicks off with who SHOULD have won the TV tournament, against the winner’s side kick.
A quick tie up and then Elayna gets the best of things landing a Shotgun Dropkick causing her to powder. The dweebs instantly try to distract and cause chaos for Elayna so that Heather can crawl under the ring. As Elayna is talking crap to Mr Elegance, Heather trips her from under the ring skirt, dive onto Elayna with a Crossbody and starts the Ground and Pound on the outside. Back in the ring, Heather tries to work on the shoulders, but Elayna stands up and hits a Samoan Drop of sorts to squash Heather and then fire off a few Lariats and two Knee Lifts into a Gutwrench Suplex for two.
A few quick shots from Heather and Heather goes to the top for the Stomp, but misses, and Elayna hits the Black Out.
No DQ? Seems like @ryrynemnem plans to take advantage of that tonight. #TNAiMPACT @MeanGiaMiller pic.twitter.com/uUETLSpFRd

King’s Speech starts with Kaz coming out with Avery, and coronating himself as the true face and true King of TNA. He even unveils a new crown. Moose comes out and starts asking for a one on one match. Kaz of course has no interest, but Moose presses and says no one would consider him a King if he doesn’t give him a match next week. Kaz decides that the only thing worthy of equaling his time, is Moose putting his career on the line.

X-Division Qualifier: Rohit Raju vs Fabian Aichner
I did always like the moniker of “His mother called him sun, cause he shined like one”. I miss Rohit. KC Navarro is on commentary since he was the first to qualify.
Both men are talk a little smack before the bell, then Aichner levels Raju. Side headlock, Raju takes Aichner to the corner and slaps him. As commentary waxes poetic about the old days of the Defeat Rohit challenge, Rohit slams Aichner into the steps after they both dodge a move or two. Back in the ring, and Aichner fights back against Raju. Rohit gets Aichner back down to the mat, but the arrogance costs him and Aichner SMACKS him across the face. Running forearm from Fabian, Raju with a kick Aichner, Rohit goes to the top to fly, but Aichner catches. Running Senton and the Moonsault gets Aichner a two. Raju counters a powerbomb, off the ropes goes Aichner, but Rohit knees him in the face.
Rohit hits a Satellite DDT for two, then goes for the Diving Stomp, Fabian moves, catches the foot and takes Rohit’s head off with a Lariat. Hasta La Vista, I stole this bomb from Batista. Sadly, Aichner wins.
We get a Zoey Serrano video package and it’s a little basic, but I like Zoey’s look. She tall, strong, I hope she can avoid anymore catastrophic injuries and get some momentum in TNA.
Mila Moore Special Guest Referee: Jason Hotch vs Agent Zero w/Order 4
Yeah we can all see the total BS that this match is going to be from a mile away.
Zero attacks Hotch early but Mila rings the bell anyway, Skyler sits down for commentary and is trying to play apologist since Ali gave him the distinction as “acting leader”. The opening is boring, a few chops, Zero with a headbutt and then a Scoop Slam and Leg Drop for a near fall. Hotch slips the Chokeslam, hits an Enzuigiri and goes for the cover, but Mila acts like she’s never been on her knees before (yes I had to, look at how she’s dressed and acting, the joke writes itself).
Hotch knows he’s getting screwed here but Zero hits a Powerslam, Heavy Whip and levels Hotch with a Lariat for a much more normal counted two count. While Zero cheats, Mila is cleaning her glasses, Hotch manages a comeback with a kick combination but Mila gets in the way and tries to say she’s the referee and she’s breaking up unnecessary strikes. Big Headbutt from Zero, he tries to Press him but Hotch slips it, peppers in some strikes and Tornado DDT. Hotch goes to the top for his Splash, and Mila again, barely gets to her knees and then starts checking her nails.
Tasha Steelz is over it, she slides in the ring, Double Legs Mila and starts beating her like she owes her money. Zero is still selling and Hotch is amused. Tasha pulls the referee shirt off of Mila, and she’s left there in her bra and hot pants. Mila seems less than embarrassed about getting her clothes taken off, but then finds some false modesty and rolls out of the ring, retreating to the back. Tasha puts on the shirt instead. Zero tries to sneak a Choke Bomb, but Hotch with the Cradle and Tasha with the fast count. Hotch wins!
This will probably have story ramifications eventually, but it is probably very solidified that Tasha is on Team Hotch. The match was nothing, but the story is decent.

TNA Knockouts Championship: Xia Brookside (c) vs Gabby Forza
I do remember saying I’d prefer Gnomie the Clown over some others like Jody Threat…so here’s where I get to eat my shoe or am proven correct.
Xia tries to tie up with Gabby which…is dumb. Xia goes for a quick standing switch after reassessing, but a Rope Run turns into a Shoulder Tackle and Xia flops, Military Press from the Gnome but Xia claws the eyes and starts working her into the corner and then Stomps away. Gabby tries to fight back, but Xia hits a Foot Choke into a kick to the ribs and then a Sliding Back Elbow. More chokes and Stomps, Broken Wings, but Forza is mad. She pulls Xia into the buckles and Forza fights up.
Lariat, Lariat, Military Press, Fireman’s Carry Airplane Spin into a Samoan Drop for two! Xia tries a kick but Gabby catches it, rams her from Corner to Corner, Lariat Splashes! Goes for a third but Xia counters! Crossbody but Gabby catches her, OklaGnoma Stampede into a Vader Bomb! Xia gets a foot on the ropes, and then powders. Xia grabs her title, clutches it like a baby and starts to walk away but Indi cuts her off. Daria Rae comes out to berate Indi, Xia uses the title belt and ropes as a weapon since the referee is distracted with everything going on. Xia retains.
Gabby looked dominant, but shenanigans happened. I’m not mad with the finish, but it is a little lame.
Elijah is doing his concert and surprisingly the crowd seems to be game for it. But Lish’s beautiful voice shatters through the concert in like 20 seconds. They tell Elijah that he’s making enemies and if he’s not careful his name with join Ricky Sosa’s at the top of their Hit List. Elijah says sign him up, so Ricky Sosa runs in before the mugging happens. Ricky says how about next week, “Two of you face the two of us”. Ricky gets the last word in as The System leaves, while the Canadian crowd doesn’t seem as hot as the American crowds for Sosa, they need to build on Sosa and Hotch starting immediately.
Leon Slater is laid out on top of a forklift of something in back. So more random attacks keep happening!
Vincent w/Dutch vs Rich Swann
Rich comes out angry and just attacks, no dancing, just determination. BDE was kidnapped and the Righteous took over BDE’s Social Media accounts. Rich tries an Up and Over, but Vince catches him, lays him out, Vincent does his own version of a Lumbar Check and then starts clubbing Rich. Whipped hard into the corner Rich crumbles. Vincent bends Rich across his knee and drives in the elbow to his abdomen. Rich fights back, hits the ropes but Vincent Back Drops him and Rich crashes face first. Vincent keeps charging, but Rich catches him twice, Forward Roll Lariat! Rich does a little Shimmy and Shake punch combo, Dutch tries to get involved but Rich takes him out, Dutch charges and eats the steps. Rich slides back in, Rich goes for a Trouble In Paradise, but Vincent moves and Rich lays out the referee. Vincent hits the Reverse DDT, and calls to the back. BDE walks out, dressed in white, looking pissed, BDE pulls up Rich, Rich looks shocked and confused but BDE hits the Cutter on Vincent! Phoenix Splash from Rich! Rich wins and it looks like BDE played the cultists!
TNA World Championship NoDQ Match: Nic Nemeth (c) vs Matt Hardy
Oh, neat note, it’s almost exactly 16 years to the day since their last singles match.
Bell rings, they throw hands instantly. Things go to the outside, Matt bounces Nic’s face off the steps, then Matt tries to grab a table but Nic cuts him off and tries to throw the table back under the ring. Matt then attack Nic, bounces his head off the announce table, positions the table diagonally against the apron, and then Matt Suplexes Nic through a table! Matt plays to the crowd, throws in a few chair, slides in another table and…looks for even more chairs. Nic is still selling the Suplex through the table as Matt comes back around with a chair and rams it into Nic’s ribs a few times. Matt finds a third table! But instead of sliding it in, he sets it up on the outside. Matt tries to keep Nic on the table, but Nic claws the eyes and gets away. Nic saved himself from about table spot but they go back in and Nic feeds into a Side Effect! Only a two count, so Matt calls for a Twist! The crowd chants Twist of Fate and Delete, but Nic rams Matt into the corner to stop the Twist. Punches and then Nic bites Matt.
Nic gets some space, charges, and Matt gets a boot up. Matt climbs up, and Nic cuts him off. Nic gets the best of the top rope struggle and a Superplex from Nic leads to a two count. Nic wedges a chair, a little bit of counters from both before Nic finally drives Matt’s head into the chair, FameASSer! But only a two count. Nic leans a table into the corner, Nic tries to send Matt into a table, but Matt puts the brakes on. They both look for table spots but block. Nic launches himself with a Stinger Splash but misses! Matt hits a Running Lariat and tries to catch his breath. Delete Head Smashes next! Twist of- no, Nic pushes off and hits a Superkick! Nic charges but bounces off the table! The table doesn’t break so Matt Irish Whips him back into it and the table breaks!
Matt gives Nic a chair necklace, Twist of Fate with the chair around his neck! The referee starts counting and Ryan Nemeth runs down to pull out the ref! It’s NoDQ so this is legal. Matt takes out Ryan, hits another Twist of Fate but Nic gets the foot on the ropes to stop the pinfall! Matt then puts Ryan on the third table, Hardy launches from the apron with the Elbow Drop, sending Ryan through the table! Matt gets back inside, but Nic hits a Low Blow! Only a two count though! Nic is looking under the ring, finds a wrench! Nic wants to hit Matt, but a Low Blow from Matt gives him the chance for the Small Package! 1-2-Nic kicks out! Nic has the wrench again, Nic slips the Twist of Fate and cracks Matt with the wrench! Nic falls into the pin and wins the match.
Honestly, solid match given Matt’s limitations and the usage of weapons and what not.
Overall Score: 6.5/10
So my only real disappointment was Rohit losing, but we also all expected that too. I just do really miss Rohit and that era. Even if it was Pandemic time, Rohit brought such an old school vibe to the flippy stuff, it was reminiscent of why Doug Williams worked during the British Invasion era. Elayna making short work of Heather…hehe…short work…cause she’s short. But anyway, that was expected because Heather is the side kick for a reason. Ryan’s interview segment was great, he plays a great comedic idiot. “I didn’t see him with my eyes…or hear his voice with my ears…but I know it was him”.
Xia playing chicken shit heel champion is fine since Indi is the only real credible threat on the roster right now, so trying to play keep away until Bound For Glory makes sense. Hotch and Tasha are great. While I don’t love the Order 4 stuff completely, Mila Moore kinda being the Divas Era throw back character is something you can’t be mad at. Because the problem with the Divas Era was “everyone” was a bimbo. But fair and equal representation means there has to be a couple here or there. And if I fish my wish and Elegance Brand explodes, then Heather might become a little more reckless, and Maggie could just go back to being cute and talented, but not a bimbo.
All in all, solid show, only real complaint is…what the hell are they doing with BDE? He was playing the cultists and never drank the Cyanide flavored Kool-Aid? Like…that just felt a little dumb to me because the only payoff would be BDE getting a single match against Vincent and getting his first win legitimately that way. And if that’s the finish…a little corny, because The Righteous don’t have any cache in the company. You can’t build a guy up when he’s feuding with dudes who have mostly lost and aren’t really singles wrestlers. But yeah, pretty good show, just that one part leaves me scratching my head.
