Mexico City cheers as the King of Lucha and the AAA General Manager is back, wearing an Eddie Guerrero shirt but also a neck brace given he got choke slammed while on a stretcher by Omos! That’s TripleMania for you. But tonight, Rey joins Raw GM, Adam Pearce, in the ring. Rey soaks in the energy and love, and he gets the mic to say, “Mexico…! Bienvenidos to Monday Night Raw!” The fans cheer again, and Rey says, “For the first time in 15 years, Raw is live from Mexico! And I have to say that I am proud to be here as a luchador. I am proud to be here as the General Manager of AAA.” The fans cheer that, too! Rey is also proud to be here right now to represent Mexico!

Rey says to Pearce, it might be one of those nights. A historical night! Tonight will be historical and incredible, some of which we also saw this past weekend. They went city to city in South America, and there was one moment that really stood out. Rey would love to share that with everyone here. Let’s have a look. WWE shares footage from a very special house show in Santiago, Chile this past Saturday. After all the Judgment Day shenanigans, Stephanie Vaquer got her rematch for the WWE Women’s World Championship, with Becky Lynch as special guest referee! And all of Liv’s bad attitude came back to bite her, because we have a NEW champion!

The fans cheer, and Rey says ladies and gentlemen, as well as Mr. Adam Pearce, Rey is honored to welcome out here the NEW WWE Women’s World Champion, La Primera, Stephanie Vaquer! The fans fire up again as Vaquer indeed makes her entrance! Vaquer high-fives fans along the ramp as she goes to the ring and steps inside to join Rey and Pearce. The fans even sing, “Ole, Ole Ole Ole~! Vaquer~! Vaquer~!” Vaquer takes the mic to shout, “HOLA, MEXICO! I got my title back!” The fans cheer that! Vaquer also says she has waited for years to be here in Mexico, to be in front of the world, and to show her thanks to lucha libre and to represent them all!

Vaquer says it was the joy of her life to win back her life in her home of Chile. The fans cheer that, and Vaquer says it is an honor to be here in Mexico! And she gest to say in her first language, “Yo soy la campeona del mundial!” The fans cheer, but then Judgment Day makes their entrance. The fans boo as the former Women’s World Champion, as well as the former AAA Mega Campeon (Rey also had a part to play in that), both sulk out on stage, mics in hands and sour looks on their faces. Liv says, “Congratulations, Stephanie! Congratulations on being the biggest hypocrite I’ve ever met in my entire life!”

The fans boo, but Liv continues by saying the fact Vaquer is in the ring, celebrating with LIV’S title, makes her sick! Then she tells the fans to callete as they continue to boo and taunt her. Liv says she got screwed by Becky! That’s the only reason Vaquer won and we all know it! The fans keep booing, but Liv & Dom step into the ring as Liv says it’s okay. Because at the end of the day, they both know that with or without the title, Liv is still the Greatest Women’s World Champion of All Time! And as for Rey, Liv already accepted Rey is just Dom’s deadbeat dad, but he really hit an all-time low, hanging around someone like this p*ta!

The fans get fired up while Pearce keeps Liv and Vaquer separated. Dom says the only thing that HE sees, as the fans boo louder, is a deadbeat and a cheater! Liv is what a real champion looks like! Rey asks really, a real champion. What would Dom know about that? Didn’t he lose his title? In fact, why don’t we watch how it happened just last night! Footage from TripleMania shows the moment Dom used the ref as a shield against El Grande Americano’s headbutt, and then Liv snuck him the belt! Dom would hit a BELT SHOT, but would miss the Frog Splash! Grande hit the headbutt, and REFEREE REY showed up to count the pin!

Dom says if this is how Rey wants to play it… Because Dom & Liv want Rey & Stephanie RIGHT NOW! Pearce says no, Rey’s not cleared! Do you not see the neck brace?! Dom says Rey’s faking! Rey was cleared enough to screw Dom over so- WAIT! El Grande Americano is here! The fans cheer as the NEW AAA Mega Champion heads right to the ring! Grande fist bumps Vaquer and Rey as he steps into the ring, and the fans are all singing his praises. Raw returns as the fans tell Dom off while he fires hands on Grande in the corner. Dom whips corner to corner, but Grande comes back to LARIAT! The fans fire up with Grande, and he fires off haymakers! Grande has Dom in the corner, climbs up, and he rains down fists! The fans count along, all the way to DIEZ! Grande shoves Dom, then runs to GAMANGIRI! Cover, DOS! Dom scrambles away and tags Liv. The fans boo but Grande backs away per the Mixed Tag Rules. Liv gets attitude and she shoves Grande! Grande ducks as Vaquer CROSSBODIES from the top rope! Down goes Liv, but Vaquer fires away!

Vaquer HEADBUTTS Liv, runs, then whips Liv to blow past her and tilt-o-whirl roll-up! DOS, and Liv kicks low, kicks high, then ENZI- NO, Vaquer ducks! Vaquer whips Liv but Liv sunset flips! Vaquer stays up, and SCRAPES Liv’s face! The fans rally for Vaquer while she runs, but Liv distracts the ref so that Dom can hold the ropes open! Vaquer tumbles out of the ring! The fans boo, Rey protests, but Liv rushes Vaquer and HAMMERS away! The ref argues with Grande & Rey, but Liv SMACKS Vaquer off the apron! The Irish Ace doesn’t even need to load his with a metal plate! JD then goes up to MOONSAULT onto Grande! Liv has Vaquer set up, OBLIVION! The fans boo as Judgment Day beats Vaquer down, and Dom goes up! JD holds Rey in place for a FROG SPLASH!

The fans boo as Judgment Day stands tall over Rey, Grande y Vaquer. Dom and Liv hold up the belts, vowing to get them back. But will Judgment Day get what they want? Or only what they deserve?

Penta and Dragon Lee cross paths backstage.

They shake hands and say what’s up. The Boy Wonder says the Man with No Fear earned his title shot tonight and is excited to see the main event. Penta thanks him for that, and says tonight will be historic because he does this for Mexico, and for #CeroMiedo. They fist bump and Penta also wishes Dragon luck on his own title match. Will the string of new champions continue with both Dragon Lee and Penta tonight?

Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match Qualifier Triple Threat: Je’Von Evans VS Big Cass VS Austin Theory w/ Maxxine Dupri!

The Young OG still owes the human skyscraper for those blindsides and beatdowns, but he won’t say no to getting at The Vision for what they’ve been doing. Will things get very bouncy in Mexico City? Will Cass take one big step towards New Orleans? Or will they both break under The Pressure?

Raw returns as Theory makes his entrance, accompanied by “Vision Queen” Maxxine. This leaves Cass for last but certainly not least. The bell rings and the fans rally for Evans as he stares down with Cass and Theory. They each glance up at the briefcases as they approach. Theory and Evans agree, they should work on Cass because he’s bigger. But then Theory sucker punches Evans! The fans boo but Theory HAMMERS Evans! Cass TOSSES Theory away, runs up on him, and SPLASHES in the corner! But Evans jumps on Cass for a SLEEPER! The fans fire up, but Cass THROWS Evans off! Cass runs up, but Evans dodges!

Evans fire haymakers, body shots, and repeat! Evans bobs ‘n’ weaves, ROCKS Cass, but Theory storms up! Evans DECKS Theory! But then Cass guzels Evans! CHOKE- NO, Evans pops up and RANAS Cass up and outta the ring! The fans fire up, Evans RAMS into Theory and mule kicks Cass! Evans slingshots up and over to sunset flip Theory, DOS! Theory is up, but Evans dodges with the backflip! Theory tumbles out, Evans DIVES onto Cass! Cass is sent into the Spanish announce desk! The fans fire up for Evans as he stands tall, but here comes Theory! Evans THROWS Theory into the timekeeper’s area! Evans then decides to take a lap.

The fans rally up as Evans builds speed, and LEAPS, but into Cass’s arms! Cass brings Evans around, lifts him up, and then CHOKE SLAMS him into Theory in the timekeeper’s area! The fans boo Cass while Raw goes to break.

Raw returns again as Cass has Evans on the top rope. Cass climbs up, and he guzels Evans! The fans freak out as Cass aims for the outside! But Theory CLUBS Cass! Theory then brings Cass off the corner with a torture rack! The fans fire up for the feat of strength as Theory hits a SUPER SIZED RACK BOMB! Evans hits a FIVE STAR FROG SPLASH!! All three men are down and the fans fire up! “Este Lucha!” while Maxxine checks Theory. Evans says hey, where we at?! WE OUTSIDE! Evans FLIES onto Theory, the fans go wild, and Evans puts Theory back in, only for Cass to get Evans with a BIG BOSS MAN SLAM!

Cass then runs at Theory, but Maxxine gets Theory outta there! The fans boo as Maxxine shouts at Cass, but Evans goes up! SUPER O G- NO! Cass catches Evans to  CHOKE- NO, Evans sunset flips and stacks! DOS!! Cass gets free, swings, but misses! Evans goes up, but Cass SWATS Evans outta the sky! And then LACE UP THE TIMBS!! But Theory DUMPS Cass, covers Evans, but Cass YANKS Theory out! The fans cheer, but Maxxine gets in Cass’s face! Do NOT touch her man! Cass chuckles, but Theory leaps in! Only for Theory to catch him and TOSS him into barriers! Wait, Evans DIVES! Not the cleanest hit, but it was good enough!

Evans fires off on Cass, but Cass RAMS Evans into the apron! Then APRON CHOKE SLAM! Cass shoves Evans in, steps in slowly, and the fans tell him off. Cass aims at Evans again, LACE UP THE- THEORY DECKS CASS!! Evans hits a SLICED BREAD on Theory onto Cass!! The fans fire up as Evans throws off the shirt! Evans dodges Cass, goes up, up, and away! Stand around and do nothing? OTC is in the building, they gotta protect him at all cost! Even if that means slidin’ on them fools right now!

Fatu says he’s got them! Don’t they think he’s locked in? Tapped in? There’s no way that 946 gets at Roman tonight, Fatu knows this! Bruh, they’ll try and pick them off one by one, and intercept their play. That way, when they’re done with them, it’s a clear shot to Roman. That’s all Fatu’s saying. Jey asks what’s the play then. Fatu says the play is to stick together. The Usos accept that, but will they get their hands on The Powerhouse and his crew? Or does Royce already have the keys to the kingdom?

Despite being The American Made Man, Mexico still respects him as El Grande Americano Original and the respect he showed them in the end. But now, will Gable still be golden after his return? Or will the Boy Wonder finally reign in WWE?

Raw returns as Dragon makes his entrance to join Gable in the ring. The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see who brings this title home!

The bell rings and the fans fire up for Dragon. Gable nods respect to that, and he fist bumps with Dragon. They tie up, go around, and Gable waistlocks. Dragon switches, Gable switches to headlock, but Dragon powers up and out. Gable RUNS Dragon over, then things speed up. Dragon hurdles, drops down, but Gable leaps over. Dragon trips Gable to cover, UNO! Gable sweeps to cover, UNO! The two stand off as Dragon handsprings up and the fans cheer. Gable and Dragon reset, feel things out, and knuckle lock. They go shoulder to shoulder, Dragon trips Gable to a cover, UNO as Gable gets an arm up!

Dragon pushes the arm down, UNO as Gable gets the other arm up. Dragon tries again, DOS as Gable bridges! Dragon jumps on while the fans sing for him, but Gable stays up! The fans rally as Dragon trips Gable, UNO as Gable bridges again. Dragon jumps, Gable uses that to get up and sunset flip! UNO, Gable CHOPS, and Dragon goes to a corner. Gable CHOPS, but Dragon CHOPS! Gable CHOPS, whips, but Dragon reverses to JUMP KICK! Dragon sits Gable down for the COMBINACION DRAGON! The fans cheer as Dragon keeps moving, HYDRAULIC DROPKICK! Dragon stands tall, he gets Gable back in the ring, and he climbs a corner. Gable stands, Dragon CROSSBODIES, but Gable rolls through to cover, DOS! Dragon runs, but into an OVERHEAD BELLY2BELLY! Dragon flounders to the ropes, but he RAMS Gable. Dragon RAMS again, then slingshots, but into the NORTHERN LIGHTS! Bridging cover, TWO! The fans fire up as Dragon survives, but Gable hurries to get a leg. KNEE JAMMER! KNEE JAMMER! And then he YANKS the leg! “Esto es Lucha!” as Gable brings Dragon up and whips him to the corner. Gable runs up, but Dragon pops Gable up. Gable headstands, only for Dragon to SUPERKICK!

Dragon then reels Gable in, and he TORNADO DDTS! Gable flounders out to the apron and the fans fire up. Dragon hurries to WRECK Gable with a dropkick! Gable hits the desk, and Dragon builds speed! The fans fire up as Dragon DIVES! Direct hit with the tope cannonball on the desk!! Thee fans go nuts while both men are down, and Raw goes to break!

Raw returns as Gable has Dragon up top! On the very top!! SUPER DUPER ANGLE SLAM!! The fans fire up, Gable crawls to a cover, UNO!! Dragon gets a bit lucky that Gable couldn’t keep the leg, and the fans rally up again. Gable crawls back over, and he fires a forearm! Dragon fires back! Gable fires another, and Dragon roars! Dragon ROCKS Gable, Gable ROCKS Dragon, repeat! The fans duel as Gable CHOPS, CHOPS, and CHOPS! Gable runs, but Dragon blows past him to then CHOP! Gable sputters, Dragon BOOTS him! The fans are thunderous as both men are down! Gable drags Dragon to a drop zone, he goes up the corner, and the fans rally again. MOONSAULT into BOOTS! Dragon fires up, throws off the elbow pad, and DRAGON BLADE!! Cover, DOS!! Gable survives and the fans fire up again! Dragon is frustrated, but he aims from a corner. Dragon runs in, tilt-o-whirl, but Gable slips through! Gable has the ANKLE LOCK! Dragon rolls to send Gable into buckles! Dragon runs up, Gable puts him on the apron, but Dragon bumps him off buckles and ROUNDHOUSES! Dragon goes up, but Gable trips him!

Gable climbs up again, and he has Dragon! Dragon fights the lift, Gable fires shots, and they go back up! But Dragon trips Gable up, then ROCKS him! Gable falls back into the Tree of Woe, but outside the ring! Dragon still climbs up, kicks Gable to keep him down, and then APRON WOE STOMPS!! The fans go nuts, and Dragon clutches an ankle! The straps come down, Gable fires up, and then he climbs! MOONSAULT!! Cover, DOS!! Dragon survives, Gable is shocked, and the fans are electric! Gable drags Dragon up, waistlocks, and GERMAN SUPLEXES! Gable holds on and drags Dragon up, for another GERMAN SUPLEX! Gable goes again, GERMAN- NO, Dragon lands out!! BLINDSIDE WIZARD!! Then tilt-o-whirl, OPERACION DRAGON!!! Cover, DOS?!? Gable survives and no one can believe it! Dragon is shocked, but the fans are loving it! Dragon rolls again, and he kicks, kicks, kicks at Gable’s face! Gable just steps over! Dragon reaches out, but Gable drags him back! Only for Dragon to victory roll, lift, and tuck! STYLES CLASH!!! Cover, DOS?!?!? POR QUE?!? Dragon is frustrated but the fans are thunderous again! Gable stirs, Dragon rises, and Dragon roars! But Gable grabs a foot! Dragon sees Gable holding on, and Gable has the ANKLE LOCK!!! Dragon rolls over, kicks, kicks, kicks, but Gable just GRAPEVINES the leg!! Dragon flails, reaches out, but he’s still so far away! DRAGON TAPS, GABLE WINS!!!

Gable lets go and quickly checks that Dragon is okay. The fans cheer as Gable takes a moment, and he offers a hand. Dragon stands on his own, but he shakes Gable’s hand, and they hug it out! The fans cheer as Gable shows that respect to Dragon. But with title in hand, will Gable keep on running until he’s the greatest Intercontinental Champion today? As for Dragon, what will it take for him to finally break through to that same level?

Bayley speaks.

Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match Qualifier Triple Threat: Raquel Rodriguez VS Lola Vice VS Kelani Jordan!

The WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion has her work cut out for her. On one hand, a former NXT Women’s Champion is making her Raw in-ring debut, ready to show the main roster that her hips, feet, and hands don’t lie. On the other, the current NXT Women’s Champion is cutting the line to show everyone why she is The Standout. This is a highly decorated Triple Threat, but who defies the odds to head for New Orleans?

Raw returns as Raquel makes her entrance to join Lani in the ring, leaving Lola for last but certainly not least. The bell rings and the fans rally for Lola. All three look up at the briefcases, then Raquel storms up on Lani. Lani runs away, Raquel says that’s fine. Raquel and Lola circle, tie up, and Lola waistlocks. Raquel wrenches free to wristlock and cording hold. Raquel grinds Lola and says, “Welcome to Raw, chiquita!” The fans boo, but Lola fights up to KICK low! Raquel holds on, but Lola wrenches to KICK again! Lola runs, but Raquel RUNS her over! Raquel runs, but she scares Lani off again. Lola KICKS, KICKS, but Raquel blocks!

Lola fires fast hands, then HEEL KICKS! Lola then gets an arm, but Raquel stays up! Lola still tries the armbar but Raquel deadlifts Lola! Lani DROPKICKS them both! The fans boo but Lani whips. Raquel blocks, sends Lani to a corner, and Lani goes up. Raquel catches Lani, Lani slips free to duck ‘n’ dodge and handspring, but into Raquel’s arms! Raquel back suplexes, Lani lands out! Lola runs up, Raquel ROCKS her! Raquel CHOKE- NO, Lani lands out, then kicks low! Lola KICKS, Lani ROCKS< and they work together to mug Raquel! They both run up and DOUBLE LARIATS Raquel up and out!

The fans cheer, but then Lani THROWS Lola down by her hair! Raquel YANKS Lani out of the ring! Raquel THROWS Lani away, then drags Lola to the apron. Raquel spins Lola to CHOP her! Raquel snarls, but Lani returns! Raquel pops Lani up, but Lani lands on the apron! Lani mule kicks, then ASAI MOONSAULTS! Down goes Raquel, but Lola aims! SEATED SENTON to the floor! Raquel CROSSBODIES Lola! The fans boo but Raquel snarls, and Raw goes to break.

Raw returns again as Lola fires body shots, but Raquel KNEES low! Raquel whips Lola to a corner, runs in, but Lola ELBOWS her away! Raquel runs up, but into a BOOT! Raquel tries again, but Lola DUMPS her out! Raquel stumbles, but Lani is there to send her into steel steps! Lani hurries up, jumps in, but Lola dodges to SPIN KCIK! And SPIN KCIK! And again! Then LIGHTNING KICKS! Lani sits in the corner, but Raquel is back! Lola fires LIGHTNING KICKS again! The fans fire up for Lola, and she HEEL KICKS Raquel down! Then Lola reminds us, “I’m a LATINA!” HIP ATTACK for Raquel! HIP ATTACK for Lani! And repeat!

Lola rubs it into Lani and the fans fire up! Lola then hits a SAIDO! Cover, DOS! Lani survives but the fans rally for Lola. But Raquel guzels Lola, SMACKS her, then runs up. Lola dodges to then tilt-o-whirl, ducks ‘n’ dodges, but not the SOUTHPAW! Lani is up top and she FLYING- NO! Raquel stops the Rana to swing Lani, but Lani sunset flips it! DOS! Lani is frustrated, but she hurries to the corner! Lani goes right up, and FROG SPLASHES! Lola runs up, Lani ducks a kick, then kicks back. Lola blocks to FLIP Lani, and ROUNDHOUSE her down! Cover, Raquel breaks it! The fans fire up as all three women are down!

Raquel rises first, and she talks trash on Lola. Raquel runs up to SPLASH! Then she scoops Lola to FALL AWAY SLAM! Lola flounders, Raquel runs up, but Lani dodges! Raquel POSTS herself, then Lani goes up! Lani aims at Lola, 450 into a TRIANGLE HOLD!! Lani flails, reaches out, scoots around, but Lola holds on! Only for Raquel to VADER SENTON!! The fans fire up again while Raquel storms back over. Lani is outside so Raquel scoops Lola, TEXA- NO, Lola fights around into a REAR NAKED CHOKE!! Raquel claws at the hold but she’s fading fast! Raquel snarls and THROWS Lola off! Raquel runs, Lola dodges, the BOOT hits Lani! Lola rolls Raquel, AND WINS!

Winner: Lola Vice, by pinfall (advances to Money in the Bank)

Lola says you’re welcome, mama! She’s ready to be Lola in the Bank, but who else joins her and Sol Ruca on the road to New Orleans?

946 confiscates another camera.

Bronco Nima tells Lucien Price that Bloodline ain’t ready for them, because ain’t nobody else like them! Nobody! Price tells The Usos that they’re running their mouths again. Don’t let your mouths write checks your fists can’t cash. Royce Keys steps in, and he says, “Paranoia’s a b*tch, right, Jacob? Y’know what it’s like in the 946. It goes one by one by one. Why would we even be in Mexico anyway?” Nima says in Spanish that they wouldn’t be there, that’s just dumb. Royce has another lighter, and he wishes Roman luck. Is this a sign that 946 is waiting to light it up down the road?

Becky Lynch finds Stephanie Vaquer backstage.

The Man has a big smile as she says hola, que paso, campeona? Vaquer says guess Becky doesn’t wanna help Vaquer anymore, huh, amiga? Well, Becky figured the champ would have it. And considering Becky helped Vaquer in Chile, she reached her threshold. But speaking of, since Vaquer wouldn’t be champion without Becky, whenever she’s feeling up to it and wants to defend the title, then maybe Becky should get the match. Hasta luego, amiga! Adios! Becky heads out, but when and where will Vaquer give Becky that big time opportunity?

WWE World Heavyweight Championship: Roman Reigns VS PENTA!

The Tribal Chief knows everyone is after him, but he only faces those who earn their shot. And in the end, the Man with No Fear did earn his chance by making it through a tournament full of the best luchadores between WWE and AAA. Penta even defeated his own blood brother, Rey Fenix, in the finals to become #1 contender. Will Penta finally reach the pinnacle of pro-wrestling with this main event? Or will he simply ACKNOWLEDGE The OTC?

Roman may wear his ula fala, Penta wears an Aztec headdress! And for the first time in a long time, the fans are not strongly on Roman’s side here! The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see who closes out this historic night as champion!

The bell rings and fans are emotional already. Roman and Penta stare down, nod, and they circle. The fans chant for “CERO MIEDO!” Roman hushes the fans, they boo him instead. Roman and Penta tie up, the fans cheer, but Roman powers Penta to a corner. Roman backs off to raise his finger to the sky, but Penta says listen up! “CERO! MIEDO!” The fans cheer, but Roman pie faces Penta! Penta comes back but Roman RUNS him over! The fans boo while Roman storms around, but Penta springs up to CHOP! Roman puts Penta in a corner, Penta CHOPS, CHOPS, CHOPS! Penta climbs up to rain down fists, but only gets ocho!

Penta returns to GAMANGIRI, then sits Roman down to headstand and SWINGING DROPKICK! Cover, UNO!! The fans chant “SI SE PUEDES!” as Penta CLUBS Roman. Penta stalks Roman along the ropes, BODY SHOTS, then HEADBUTTS! Roman scowls as he shakes that off, but the fans chant “SI! SI! SI!” Penta HEADBUTTS, Roman kicks low! Roman HEADBUTTS, and he stalks Penta to ropes. The fans boo but Roman ROCKS Penta! Roman fires hands, then bumps him off buckles. Penta flops back while the fans tell Roman off. Roman is annoyed, this is also a rare occurrence for him. Roman has Penta up to ROCK him again.

Penta fires body shots and the fans cheer, but Roman HEADBUTTS again! Roman runs, but Penta DUMPS him out! Penta keeps moving, triangle jump LARIAT! Roman is down again, and the fans fire up for Penta! Penta nods and builds speed to FLY! Down goes Roman at the ramp and he clutches a shoulder while Raw goes to break.

Raw returns again as Penta slowly rises. Roman whips him hard into a corner! Penta falls to the mat, the fans wind up and they taunt Roman again. Roman paces as he soaks up that heat, then goes back to Penta. Penta sits up, but Roman fires more hands! Roman then drags Penta up, whips him hard into a corner, and Penta falls again. Roman soaks up more heat as he paces around, then goes back to Penta. Penta CHOPS! And CHOPS! And CHOPS! But Roman DECKS Penta for it! The fans rally for Penta as Roman stands over him. Roman then stands Penta up to SMACK off buckles, and he throws haymakers!

The ref reprimands, Roman stops, and he soaks up more heat from the fans. Roman runs up on Penta, but Penta BOOTS him! The fans cheer, and Penta dodges Roman! Roman hits buckles, Penta ENZIGIRIS, then fires forearms! The fans cheer but Roman ROCKS Penta! Roman whips, but Penta KICKS back! Roman swings, Penta dodges to mule kick! Penta runs, SLING-DOG! The fans fire up as Penta rises, and he whips, only for Roman to reverse. Penta goes up and over, DRAPING BACKSTABBER! The fans fire up as Penta covers, DOS! Roman survives but Penta is not deterred. Penta SOBATS, then runs the ropes to springboard DDT! Cover, DOS!

The fans rally up as Roman survives again! Penta huffs ‘n’ puffs and rises again. Penta gets Roman’s arm trapped, then grabs the other! Roman freaks out, but Penta still serves the DARK SACRIFICE!! Roman flails and scrambles away! Roman clutches his arm but the fans fire up again! Penta waits on Roman, then clinches, pump handles, but Roman fires elbow. Penta runs up, but into an URENAGE! Cover, DOS! Penta survives, Roman clinches the arm, and Raw goes picture in picture.

Roman shakes out the bad arm but he is still in this fight. Penta rolls away to the far side, and both men drag themselves out of the ring. Roman locks on target, storms in around the way, and Roman runs up to DRIVE-BY DROPKICK! Penta staggers away, hits the steel steps, and Roman snarls as he clutches the bad arm. Penta staggers towards commentary, Roman soaks up the heat as fans give thumbs down. Roman shakes out the bad arm, runs up again, another DRIVE-BY! Penta falls to the floor this time, but the ring count climbs. Roman puts Penta in, then goes to the corner. But Penta runs up! Roman sends him into buckles!

Roman fires point-blank LARIATS, but he has to switch arms! He still goes to DIEZ, and he runs the ropes to BOOT Penta down! Roman shakes his head as he continues to soak up heat, and Raw returns to single picture. Roman goes to a corner, Penta goes to the other. Roman shakes out the bad arm so he can lock ‘n’ load. But it still hurts! Penta SHOTGUNS Roman down! The fans fire up as Roman goes to the apron. Penta runs, triangle jump, but Roman BACKDROPS Penta away! Penta hits apron then floor, and Roman slumps down as he catches his breath. The ring count starts again, and the fans rally as hard as they can while Penta is down.

The count reaches cinco again, but Roman hobbles his way over to Penta. Roman drags Penta up, reels him in, and lifts! POWERBOMB onto the English announce desk! Roman isn’t done, though, as he drags Penta up and into the ring. Oh NOW the table falls apart… Roman takes aim from the corner, SUPER- NO, Penta catches Roman, pump handle, PENTA DRIVER!! Cover, DOS!! Roman survives and no one can believe it! Penta just reloads in a corner, and he runs up for a- SUPERMAN PUNCH!! Roman hits first, then falls to the cover, DOS!! Penta survives and the fans are thunderous! The fans continue to rally for Penta as he stirs.

Roman sits up and is at a loss for words. Penta goes to a corner, Roman goes to the other. Roman talks to himself to get back in this, and he lets out the battle cry! But Penta hurdles the spear! Roman hits buckles, Penta rebounds! DESTROYER!!! Roman staggers around, rebounds, SPEAR!!! Cover, DOS!!! Penta survives and the fans are going nuts! Roman stirs, he rises up, and he shakes his head as he tells Penta that he’s not gonna get it. Roman rains down fists and the fans boo. Roman says Penta can’t hang with him! The fans boo more, but Roman demands a mic! A mic is given, and the fans are on their feet booing as Roman paces.

Roman stomps Penta, then tells “Ciudad de Mexico… ACKNOWLEDGE ME!!” The fans boo instead! Roman drops the mic, scowls, but Penta rises up! Roman builds speed, for a SUPERKICK from Penta!! Penta then uses the ropes to get up, FLYING DESTROYER!!! Cover, DOS!!!! Roman survives and the fans are going nuts again! Penta roars in frustration, but the fans tell him “SI SE PUEDES!” Penta feeds off that energy, and he goes forehead to forehead with Roman. Penta ROCKS Roman, but Roman ROCKS Penta! They go back and forth, and the fans cheer Penta while they boo Roman! Penta and Roman stand, the fists keep flying, then Penta CHOPS!

Roman fires another forearm, Penta fires another! Roman fires a flurry of haymakers! Penta KICKS, KICKS, KICKS, then CHOPS! “CERO! MIEDO!” Penta runs, into an UPPERCUT! Roman raises the finger, runs, but into a SUPERKICK! Roma just gets pissed! But Penta SUPERKICKS again! And SUPERKICKS again! Roman staggers, leans on ropes, and Penta runs! Springboard- SUPERMAN PUNCH!! Roman intercepts Penta outta the air, and he takes aim again! SPEAR!!! Cover, Roman wins!!

Winner: Roman Reigns, by pinfall (still WWE World Heavyweight Champion)

Roman may still reign, but he was wrong about one thing: Penta CAN hang with The Tribal Chief. The only thing is, Penta could not defeat The Tribal Chief. Mexico City is disheartened, but is there hope for Penta yet? As for Roman, who will be next to ACKNOWLEDGE HIM?

My Thoughts:

An awesome Raw for Mexico City, and if only they’d just gone and let Penta win. That crowd was hot all night, but especially at the end, and they of course really wanted that win more than anything. But Roman wins because A) LA Knight is still waiting in the wings, and B) there were no shenanigans to help “protect” Roman. When 946 said they weren’t even in Mexico, that meant there would be no such shenanigans, so that foreshadowed a straight-up 1v1, but also a clean win for Roman Reigns. Penta still looked amazing, he does deserve to be a champion again, but maybe he can take a detour as Mr. Money in the Bank.

Speaking of 946, good promo from Jacob discussing with The Usos that their plan is safety in numbers. Though, with 946 saying they weren’t around, kinda undercuts Jacob’s “smart idea,” which I suppose was the point. Great qualifiers for said MITB match, with Lola being kinda the obvious winner for the Women’s Triple Threat. Not sure why they sent Lani here other than she is just a solid worker. Evans getting the win in the Men’s Triple Threat was great, because c’mon, we gotta see him go for an OG Cutter off a ladder, same as Sol Ruca hitting a Soul Snatcher off one. Plus, it wasn’t gonna be Theory, he’s not gonna be in there alongside Bron Breakker. Though, pretty sure Vision can help Bron cheat during that match anyway since there’s no disqualifications.

Really wild that we had those title changes over the weekend. Well, more Liv’s loss than Dom’s, that was going to happen because that’s great story for AAA. But now WWE is selling Liv VS Vaquer in Chile as a hook for getting Club WWE subscribers. Great opening promo with Rey Mysterio, Vaquer, Liv, Dom, and Grande to then give us a great Mixed Tag. Judgment Day “ruining” the match should’ve been a given, though, so that they can get their payback from the TripleMania/South America tour weekend. Good promo from Vaquer and Becky later, and I’m still waiting on the tag match of Vaquer & Becky VS Liv & Raquel (or Liv & Roxie), something like that, and then we can still get our Triple Threat of Vaquer, Becky and Liv at MITB to give an opening for Ms. MITB to cash-in.

Very good promo from Bayley to put Lyra on notice, and they’re going to have some great stuff as we build towards their grudge match. Great promo from Dragon and Penta to hype up both their title matches, and honestly, I kinda thought Dragon was getting this one but nope. That was also an awesome match, practically a show stealer, and a great win for Gable for it. Gable just needs to work on his Face persona having attitude like his Heel persona, but obviously aimed at Heels. Gable’s been kinda doing that with Ethan Page, we just need a bit more of it. Gable VS Ethan is likely next, maybe for MITB or around that time. Maybe Dragon can shift into MITB as well, he’d have a great showing in that match, and even makes a great choice for Mr. MITB so he can strike when least expected.
