Andrew’s JCW Lunacy Results & Ratings: Ep# 101

Jasmin finally pops out Mr Happy’s kid! Kerry Morton says his final Goodbyes and Caleb has to defend his title again!

Published

on

They’ve said it for a few weeks that Jasmin could pop any day now, so the show starts with Jasmin screaming going into labor!

I’ll get the forceps, and we can figure out where the new chapter of JCW starts off! This is also a very insane way to start things.

Ratings:

  • Italian Street Fight: Vincenzo vs Sally Boy: Sal wins via Van Daminator – ** 3/4
  • Special Guest Mad Man Pondo: JCW Women’s Champion: Dani Mo (c) vs J-Rod: Thrown Out – * 1/2
  • Painful Paul vs Krule: No Contest – N/A
  • Lunacy World Championship: Caleb Konley (c) vs Father Bronson: Konley wins via DQ – **

As the show officially kicks off, Kerry Morton comes out to say Goodbye. Now let’s hope he finds a way to stick around, I need more Kerry Morton in JCW, he sucks in NWA. Kerry runs down the gimmick, going over how he beat the Backseat Boyz, then GCW’s whole squad…and how he beat Bronson, but it was 1 second late. Kerry is about to unload on Vince Russo’s drama, but Caleb Konley’s sexy music hits and he stops the smear campaign. Caleb derides Kerry, says he always tries to drag people down, tells the crowd he can’t understand them and to put their teeth in before speaking to him.

Kerry calls Caleb a Bitch Boy, Kerry brings Mike’s Hard Lemonade into the promo and tells Caleb to take a Mike’s Hard Look at himself. It’s a relatable bar, Caleb tries to say everyone loves him and he’s getting booed to high Hell. Kerry plays to the crowd reactions very well, he’s such fucking money. Kerry calls Caleb “Mr. JCW”, Kerry says he’s gonna turn around because Caleb knows he’s always second best. Caleb tries to take a swing, Kerry dodges, hits Kiss It Goodbye on Caleb. Kerry Kisses JCW Goodbye and tells Caleb this chapter may have closed but he will write the next one.

Vincenzo says he loves Sally Boy like a son, but he’s drinking the Faygo and banging the Juggalettes, so Sal says it’s not about that. It’s about revenge and how Sally Boy still blames Vito for killing his dad. Vincenzo keeps saying Sally Boy doesn’t understand, Sal storms off and it seems like Vincenzo knows more than he’s told Sally Boy.

A little comedy moment in the back with Jasmin in labor, Tony, Violent J and Willie tell her to spread her legs and there’s a tunnel sound effect as The Outbreak also show up to add to the comedic aspect.

Italian Street Fight: Vincenzo vs Sally Boy

Vincenzo attacks Sal on the bell and is trying to learn Sally Boy something. Works him over in the corner, throws strikes, looks for a Scoop Slam but Sal slips it, throws a few Clotheslines, a Dropkick and then a Stinger Splash when Vincenzo sells to the corner. Sal goes up, Vincenzo grabs the Singapore Cane and beats on Sal. A few strikes, Cane Handle Overhead Suplex, and then keeps on Sal. Vincenzo is being very deliberate with the attacks, choking him with the ropes, his own shirt and he’s got the vibe of a Dad trying to teach the son a tough love lesson.

Sal starts to fire back, hits the ropes but Vincenzo cuts him down with a Back Elbow. Another Scoop Slam from Vincenzo, rope run, Vincenzo wants the Back Drop, but Sal flips through and lands on his feet. Nice strikes, John Woo Dropkick, Springboard is ducked by Vincenzo though, and then Vincenzo with the Lariat. Vincenzo wedges a chair in the corner, Vincenzo wants the Lawn Dart, Sal slips it, Headscissors sends Vincenzo into the chair, Van Daminator from Sally Boy, and Sal wins!

More comedy, Jasmin pushes, first it’s a Football, then a Sir Mix-a-Lot CD plaque, then Hollyhood Haley J’s dog Stormy, then finally a baby! Outbreak start to eat the umbilical chord…or placenta…whatever it’s supposed to.

Dani Mo comes out and plays the smiley babyface, puts over the match and Big Al, telling Al that once she recovers from the hatchet attack, she can find her. So she throws out an Open Challenge. J-Rod’s music hits, so I’m very happy. J-Rod walks down with a Singapore Cane, but Mad Man Pondo comes down to switch out with the referee.

Special Guest Mad Man Pondo: JCW Women’s Champion: Dani Mo (c) vs J-Rod

J-Rod is loving this Pondo change. J-Rod swings the cane, misses, Dani Mo kicks it out of her hands and the real match starts. Misses the Big Boot over the top rope, Dani kicks it to hyper extend the knee, so Dani throws a few spots together, Kicks, Knee Lift, then Dani goes for her Headstand move but J-Rod cuts it off, wants a Power Slam but Dani turns it into a Tornado DDT. J-Rod turns things around, drops Dani and poses to a chorus of boos. J-Rod grabs the cane and beats on Dani before choking her with it and Pondo is fine with it.

Snake Eyes from J-Rod, Charging Back Elbow and J-Rod is rolling. She charges for a Spear, misses in the ropes, gets Kicked in the chest, then Dani Chop and Kick combination while J-Rod is draped in the ropes. Dani flies, Crossbody, but only for two. Dani wants the Moonmist Twist but J-Rod Samoan Drop, rips a Turnbuckle off and then looks for a Snake Eyes but Dani counters and throws J-Rod into the exposed buckle 3 times, J-Rod gets the Brass Knuckles, Moonmist counter…Brass Knuckles, 1-2-…Haley J pulls Pondo out of the ring and then attacks J-Rod. Haley chases J-Rod to the back, so Dani is still the champion.

Dani is talking shit to Pondo, Pondo drops Dani. Two other referees show up to stop Pondo, he says he lost his cool, it’s fine, but then takes out the two referees. As for the match, it was a little clunky, but interesting from the Pondo perspective since he thinks he’s the Lead Referee, but his version of the rules is much different than everyone else.

Painful Paul vs Krule

Krule seems to be searching for HoKane, even though HoKane was suspended after her hatchet attacks.

Krule attacks Paul instantly and they start brawling on the outside. Krule is in control until he has to take the long way around ringside, so Paul keeps a shot in, but Krule and Paul throw shots, they brawl into the crowd and all around Diamondback Music Hall. Security is actually doing a good job at protecting the fans, then the referee throws his hands up and throws out the match since Paul and Krule are just brawling around the building and ignoring him.

Back from commercial they are still brawling out to the parking lot and the highway.

Pondo roughs up the referee that threw out the Krule and Paul for being a pussy. The ref tries to say they don’t pay him enough for that, so Pondo lays him out with the Stop Sign. Violent J gets approached by someone, handed a folder and is told he’s been served.

Lunacy World Championship: Caleb Konley (c) vs Father Bronson

Chain wrestling start, with Bronson getting the best of things and Headlock riding him down before peppering a few punches. Joel Gertner and Josh Bishop walk out to watch with Gertner on commentary. Caleb gets distracted so Bronson rolls him up, only a two count, and then Bronson keeps working him over, Uppercuts, Release Belly to Belly Suplex, Bronson connects with a few spots before Caleb turns it around with a Neckbreaker. Caleb tries to leave, but Bishop is guarding the ramp so Caleb gets back in the ring.

Caleb is getting progressively more irritated and it’s helping him work over Bronson. Chops, Kicks, Stomps and just molly whopping Bronson in the corner. Up and Over from Caleb into an interesting trip and Cradle for a near fall. Caleb gets Bronson in a Neck Crank, Bronson fights up, Bronson goes for a Powerbomb, but Caleb punches out of it, sortuv. Bronson drops Caleb, they both sells a bit before Bronson catches Caleb and drops him again. Springboard Knee attempt from Bronson, but he eats a Superkick! Bronson powders to the ropes and Caleb tries to leave again. EC3 attacks Caleb and starts bouncing his face off the commentary table. EC3 feeds Caleb to Josh, Exit 187 through the commentary table!

Bronson is back at ringside laughing at the carnage. Then we see that Violent J, ICP and JCW are being sued, that’s what he was served.

Overall Score: 6/10

Well this is technically episode one of a new season, so it shouldn’t be amazing. I’m glad we’re finally done with the Jasmin being pregnant story. Kerry leaving still bugs me, but I’m not mad at EC3 and Bishop being positioned to take the belt from Caleb. My issue is an issue I’ve had in other episodes, they do too many of the same kind of moronic finish. You can’t have 3 “throw out” finishes in a row. Like…fucking seriously. Every match doesn’t have to be part of a longer story, just throw in a match with a real finish to break up the monotony of similar finishes. No Contest, DQ, Throw Out…they’re all the same kind of fuck finish with interference. Stop being stupid.

The Bigfoot angle is amusing, Luciano Family seems a little too derivative at this point like Vincenzo is sitting on a story that Vito didn’t really kill Sal’s dad, or IS Sal’s dad. Some really Ricki Lake lame boy swerve. So yeah, it was still fairly entertaining, but you can’t do 3 of the same fucking finish in a row.
