Andrew’s JCW Lunacy Results & Ratings: Ep# 102

Last week felt like a good start to a new season. The Carnival of Chaos tied a lot of things up and really felt like a symbolic chapter end, for 101 to be a reset. Jasmin finally had her devil spawn, Kerry said his final Goodbye, EC3 and Bishop are circling Caleb like sharks smelling blood in the water with no Russo protection. So this should be interesting to see how long it takes for the Clown Train to reach full speed.

Oh and ICP, Violent J and JCW are getting sued. Wonder by who?

Results:

The show opens with Painful Paul and Krule still fighting outside, a whole week long battle. Bicycle Racks, Air Conditioning Units, Dumpsters, and of course walls, they’re just throwing things into each other and vice versa.

Facade vs Steven Flowe w/Ring Rat

Tie up, simple start until Facade gets the Headlock Takeover, Crucifix Cradle, a little locomotion Cradle action but when they get up Facade does the Handstand in the corner, flips over Flowe, grabs the arm, Double Bounce Mexican Arm Drag. Rebound John Woo, Flowe powders, Facade almost jumps but Rat gets in the way and Flowe can finally get something together. Wizard on the Whale (Whisper on the Wind), and then simple chokes and stomping. Flowe with the Springboard Stage Dive. Takes off the flannel, Whammy Bar and a two!

The Neon Ninja tries to rally, Flowe has him up but Facade gets out of the F5, Matrix Dodge, Spinning Heel Kick, Art of the Ninja…but Rat is on the apron. Facade walks her down and she gets off the apron, Flowe hits a Spining Flowe-sion. Flowe wants the the guitar, Rat tries to hand it to him but it falls apart. She cowers, Flowe looks pissed and Facade hits the O’Connor Roll with the Bridge.

Flowe hits the Spinning Flowe-sion on Ring Rat, but Facade re-enters the ring, hits the Flying Side Kick on Flowe and checks on Rat. Ring Rat leaves with Facade and starts chasing him.

J-Rod has some words for HollyHood Haley J prior to their match tonight.

Barnabas is outside panhandling with a sign that says “Will Manage for Food” – he’s so good. This is glorious.

Orange Phantom has a hype video and Bigfoot Training vignettes continue. Then Caleb comes out to cut a promo. Caleb cuts an indignant promo because EC3 hasn’t earned shit in JCW. So EC3 comes out. He says he’s a 3 time World Champion…oh yeah, he won the NWA World Title at some point. I was confused. But EC3 wants to fight right now, so Joel Gertner and Josh Bishop walk out. “I am mortified, I want to crawl up my own ass” – that’s how Joel opens the promo…that’s amazing. Gertner draws the battle lines, it’s a great promo. 

After a short pause, Violent J’s music hits and he walks out to make sense of it. In a week or three, there will be a match between EC3 and Bishop. That will basically be a Number 1 Contender match. Honestly, J is not as good with words as Gertner, he should never follow Gertner on the stick. 

Another Bigfoot Training session and then we go to back to Painful Paul and Krule still fighting in the parking lot and Barnabas is hiding in a shed. 

J-Rod vs Hollyhood Haley J

J-Rod attacks while Haley is still playing to the crowd, Big Boot, stomps, Forearms, and a Scoop Slam. Cocky pin but Haley gets out, then they throw strikes, Slap, Slap Kick from Haley, Headscissors, and starts Stomping J-Rod, Bootwash and then twerks in J-Rod’s face. J-Rod is looks for something, and the referee stops Haley from going out, J-Rod grabs a chair, but Haley takes the chair, the referee takes the chair from her and J-Rod starts doing curls with the Dumbbells from early, hits Haley with the dumbbell and the ref is putting the chair away. J-Rod wins.

Barnabas tries to beg from some fans, Painful Paul and Krule are still fighting into the woods.

JCW American Championship: Father Bronson (c) vs Moshpit Mike w/Bigfoot

Bronson tries to tell him to leave. Mike says Fuck You.

They start brawling, Bigfoot and Mac Davis are struggling on the ramp, but nothing happens yet. Mike hits a few Arm Breakers, but Bronson turns it around with Muay Thai Knees, Lariat, Side Suplex to Mike and Bronson locks in the Headlock. Mike manages to get out of it, DDT for two. Bigfoot is going crazy, Mike says Bow and Arrow, Bronson is confused but it’s just a punch , a few more strikes, Vader Knees from Mike but only two!

Bigfoot breaks free so Mike gets distracted and Bronson locks in the Rose Petal, and Mike taps.

Mac Let’s go, and  sends Bigfoot after Bronson, so Bigfoot Chokeslams Bronson. Starts stomping a mudhole, but Mike tranqs Bigfoot and they leave. 

Dani Mo & The Outbreak vs CoKane, Sally Boy & Alice Crowley

CoKane offers Jacksyn some cocaine, but after playing to it a little, Jacksyn gives the drugs to the referee and refuses. That’s character growth…for a zombie? CoKane and Jacksyn start off, a lot of quick counters and signature dodges. Abel tags in, and Sally and CoKane hit a tandem move as they pan to Barnabas panhandling in the crowd.

Abel kicks out of a pinfall, Sally hits Jacksyn but hesitates on hitting Dani, so the Outbreak take advantage of the fact Sal refused to hit Dani. Jacksyn tags in, a few quick spots, but Sally kicks away, tags in CoKane. CoKane goes to the top and Dani blind tags and kicks CoKane, Dani wants a Superplex, but CoKane counters, Sunset, Electric Chair and Dani hits the Poison Rana. Sal tags in and Sal tells Dani to tag in a zombie, Dani says no, smacks him, Sal charges, but Jacksyn and Abel grab him, look for As Above So Below, but Alice takes out Jacksyn, Dani says she’ll do it, but Sally throws Abel into the corner to drop Dani.

Dani and Alice square off, Moonmist Twist counter, Saito Suplex from Alice, Lariat is ducked and Michinoku Driver from Dani! Barnabas is apologizing from the crowd to The Outbreak, Jacksyn and Abel forgive Barnabas, Dani is besides herself, Alice hits the Back Slide and Alice wins!

During the celebration, Alice kisses Sally on the cheek and Sal looks shell shocked. Barnabas is begging Dani and the crowd chants Family. Dani doesn’t want to accept it…so she stares the three down, and refuses the olive branch. Or…does she…? She is behind but she follows them out. Dani is gonna give it a chance?

Overall Score: 6.5/10

This was a little more entertaining than the previous week, but it could be because each match had a real finish. There is possibly an over abundance of stupid characters though, Orange Phantom I think could be more tolerable than Green and Purple. But then there’s Bigfoot stuff, and this Jeane-Claude Wonderboy either reeks of Wrestling with Wregrets stupid ass character or something as equally moronic. It would be nice if it’s Kerry Morton doing a French Accent, but it screams goofball shit.

Bishop, EC3 and Caleb is interesting, Dani’s dynamic with Barnabas and the Outbreak is great and the kiss with Alice and Sally Boy, wonder where that goes. So there’s definitely stuff to like and latch on to. Just the possible avalanche of idiocy is something I don’t need. Like 2 goofballs or a stable, sure. But between Steven Flowe, Happy and the Baby, Phantoms, Mike & Bigfoot, and possibly this Mr JCW guy…that just too many idiots for a show that tends to run 90-120 minutes.
