Andrew’s JCW Lunacy Results & Ratings: Ep #105

Vito snapped and did some of his best work in years, then he went to jail at the end of the show. Barnabas continues to try to manage for food, Dijak is jealous that Jasmin St Claire might be moving on to Josh Bishop and the main event scene stays hectic with Caleb, EC3, Josh Bishop and now Dijak inserting himself into Bishop’s business.

Between Mr JCW, if Dani Mo will ever forgive Barnabas and the Orange Phantom…we should get some interesting things today. And where the hell did Bigfoot run off to?

Results:

Caleb opens the show, gets a “Shut the Fuck Up” chant, Caleb takes it in stride and apparently this is to talk about Jean Claude Wonderboy and how he thinks it’s Kerry Morton. He also points out that the Phantoms are obviously the same dude. He’s basically saying it’s just Violent J bullshit. Caleb says whoever wins between Bishop and EC3, it doesn’t matter because he’s the Chosen One, no matter what J says. 

So Violent J comes out in a Kerry Morton “Mr JCW Jersey”. Violent J pulls up and hits the “Chosen by Who” line. J buries Russo and says he’s gone and flushed down the toilet. So he makes a tag match Caleb. Caleb has to find someone to help him, and he’ll face Josh Bishop and EC3 teamed together.

American Championship #1 Contender: Orange Phantom vs Facade w/Ring Rat vs Shane Mercer

Phantom opens by saying that he’s totally not Green or Purple, they just have the same boot maker and tattoo…they’re triplets.

Phantom hits the ropes, get easily Double Back Bodied and Facade and Mercer square off. Strikes, Facade with a few Kicks, Mercer runs over Facade, they tie up, bounce off of Phantom. Use him more like a fulcrum for some spots, then Mercer chucks him into the second row. Facade with the Springboard Headscissors. Mercer powders, Facade goes for a dive and Mercer just throws the Phantom at Facade to stun him. Orange Phantom gets in one chop, tries a Suplex, but Mercer counters with a Stalling Suplex, then Facade flies off for a tandem Brainbuster. More back and forth, Springboard Bulldog from Facade for two.

Mercer X-Plexes Facade, Rat wants to attack Mercer but he turns and catches her on the ropes. He presses her huge ass over his head, Phantom scolds him, so he just drops Rat like trash and then Mercer tosses Phantom. Facade with a Disaster Kick out of nowhere while Mercer gloats, rope acrobatics, but Mercer stops him, knee lift and a Rebound Sitout Powerbomb for two! Mercer sets up Facade for the Moonsault and Battery but Facade falls on Mercer and Phantom holds Mercer’s feet down. Neon Ninja and Orange Phantom? Neon Phantoms?

Orange was having fun doing his Superman in the corner, Mercer hits Moonsault and Battery, but Facade helps Phantom. Facade is has his own little collection of Oddities.

They have all the Jean Claude stuff from the rider, and then Vito storms in to curse everyone out, call them fat and Willie and Tony are in Kerry Morton jerseys. IT IS KERRY MORTON in a mask! This is Mr America levels of obvious. J puts over Kerry, says “For some reason he feels equally as excited for him”. Mr JCW is eating French Fries, pantomiming and then when he cuts a promo, he’s gesticulating like a psycho and there’s obvious French Kerry Morton audio dub. This is amazing. 

Referee: Mad Man Pondo: Anything Goes Match: J-Rod vs Hollyhood Haley J

Dani Mo and the Outbreak are guest commentators. 

Haley hands off Stormy to Dani and starts beating on J-Rod. Satellite Takedown, Hip Attack, Strike Combination and Haley is rolling, Flatline’s J-Rod’s face into the buckles, Boot Wash, makes it clap in J-Rod’s mouth and then a Superkick. Haley grabs Pondo’s Stop Sign, but Pondo stops it and J-Rod hits the Big Boot, Snake Eyes in the corner, and J-Rod starts choking Haley. Haley tries to fight back, but J-Rod is dominating, Stalling Suplex, but Haley slips it, rolls back and then eats a Lariat for her trouble.

J-Rod keeps Haley worked over in the corners, choked against the ropes and Haley and J-Rod start throwing strikes before J-Rod shoves Haley into the corner. J-Rod Strong Irish Whip and then J-Rod flexes. Powerbomb, slip, J-Rod ducks the Power Slap, German Suplex and J-Rod wants the Stop Sign, so J-Rod starts slapping around Pondo. J-Rod grabs the Stop Sign anyway and Pondo quick counts her, so Haley wins, J-Rod beats on Haley with the Stop Sign and then Dani makes the save.

Poor Sally Boy had flowers and everything ready for Alice, but a bunch of Jugalettes show up and start fondling him. He actually tries to them that he’s not available right now, but Alice walks in too early and beats the shit out of Sally Boy.

Backseat Boyz vs The Boneheads

Ugh and Rah, caveman tag team? I’m not mad. They’re like Pokemon, they only say their names. 

Barnabas is out and about panhandling…Ugh? Starts the match against JP. Step over Toe Hold into a Liger Style Surfboard Stretch. Kip Up from Ugh! Arm Wringers, but the counter, Backseats tag, Ugh fights it off, Rah blind Tag, Up and Over, Wheelbarrow Tandem Suplex, Oklahoma Roll into a punch to the nards! JP tries to Headbutt Rah, he no sells, gorgeous Dropkick and then Headbutt to the nards and he pounds his chest before a Head Vice.  Blind tag from Tommy, catches Rah but only a two count. Tommy tries the Iron Claw but it’s…ineffective. Double Team from the Backseats, JP with a cocky pinfall. Backseats Back Alright Elbow. Wishbone, into a Nard Legdrop from Tommy, but again only two.

Backseats isolate Rah, and they keep rolling, but only a two count. JP has Rah in a Neck Crank, Jaw Jacker, Rah fights out of the Backseat side, JP fights away, sets it up, Acid Reflux! UGH…makes the save. Rah rallies, hot tag to Ugh, Ugh and Tommy back and forth, Ugh discovers fire and Backseats get burned. Asai Backflip, Spinning Back Kick, Rope Sole Butts, Slingshot Double Neckbreaker, only a two, but impressive. Backseats stop Ugh, Tandem Sitout Neckbreaker but Rah makes the save! Rah Doube Coconut, Up and Over, Ugh save, Headscissored by Rah into the Boyz, Ugh Rah and Dump Job on JP! Shoulder Tackle/Headbutt. Necklift Facebuster, Diving Headbutt and Springboard Senton Atomico.

Boneheads accept Barnabas as their Manager! This match, was pretty fucking good. Color me impressed, whatever color that is.

Mr Happy w/Baby Pooey vs Bigfoot Hunter Mike

Mike puts over Happy, then they go for a Test of Strength into a Happy Dance and a Hug. Happy accidentally squeezes too hard, but they go again, Bell Clap from Mike, Headbutt with the hunter hat and Arm Wringer. Happy fights back, multiple Headbutts, and Baby Pooey is still in the ring in the stroller. Mike gets Elevation Bombed, Happy grabs the Hunter Hat and looks like a 600 pound Kim Chee. Happy Splash but Jasmin walks down and grabs Pooey. Jasmin throws the baby into the middle of the ring, bails and then Mike kicks Happy and Happy falls on the baby! Mac Davis, Mike and Happy check on the baby. Mac Davis says Pooey is fine!

Happy hits the Waterwheel Kick, Mike is down and Happy wins!

Bigfoot was at the bar! Leaves the fanny pack for Mike and then runs off again!

Caleb Konley & CoKane vs Josh Bishop w/Joel Gertner & EC3 w/Jeeves

CoKane and EC3 start, typical chain wrestling fundamental start. CoKane gets a few spots in, CoKane does the rope walk, but Caleb tags himself in and CoKane just drops down not knowing why he interrupted the offense. Caleb slaps EC3 around quickly, Caleb is just bitching at everyone, tags CoKane and barks orders, EC3 hits a Spinebuster as CoKane doesn’t want to listen to Caleb.

Josh Bishop saunters in and starts with a nice Sack of Shit and CoKane flies towards the corner with EC3. Caleb continues to run his mouth, Bishop feeds CoKane into Caleb’s corner and tells Caleb to tag in. Caleb convinces CoKane to not tag out and go after Bishop, so Bishop keeps working over CoKane. EC3 tag, CoKane slips a move, slides under the ropes, Uraange!  Bishop gets tagged in but Caleb isn’t really trying too hard for the tag. CoKane with a ton of Overhand Chops, Rope Walk, Headscossirs and Bishop gets launched into the referee.

Bishops throws CoKane into his corner, Big Boot for Caleb but a Whisper in the Wind from CoKane takes out Bishop. Dijak comes down, posts CoKane, grabs Bishop and Feast Your Eyes connects! Dijak throws in the ref, CoKane goes for the pinfall but only two with the slow count and time. Double down, looking to tag out…but Caleb leaves CoKane alone! Bishop is groggy, CoKane with a Polish Hammer off the ropes, CoKane Kips Up, then takes out EC3 and a Stunner for Bishop! Bag of coke, but Jeeves steals the powder!

EC3 hits the 1 Percenter! Exit 187, Bishop wins!

Sally Boy knocks on Vito’s door, says he fucked up, he belongs with the family. Wants to talk it out and Vito allows him in, and Vincenzo grins as he closes the door.

Overall Score: 7.75/10

I do love when these episodes are unhinged, but then sneak up on you with a really good match or really funny segment. Facade collecting his own little island of misfit toys is interesting, but I’m just glad that while Orange Phantom wasn’t impressive, he wasn’t pathetic like Green and Purple. Mr JCW is fucking Genius. I love the obvious Kerry Morton aspect, the bad audio dub for comedic effect and just how Violent J is bipolar as hell with him…much like Kerry’s booking the last year or so.

Bishop versus Dijak I’m not really a fan of just because MLW is running this whole Dijak tension with Bishop at the same time, and feels entirely too samey, even though I know MLW is like 4 months behind on tapings and JCW is only a few weeks in the can. I also just want Bishop to win everything…so maybe that’s just me. J-Rod and Bishop are definitely the two I would put all the gold on.

And of course, damn, The Boneheads were…amazing. I know there are a real number of fans who kind of miss the silly early 90s gimmicks of WWF like Duke the Dumpster, the Goon, just basic things like “evil dentist”, “Paper Boy”, and now we have Zombies and Cavemen. And I really like Barnabas with the Cavemen since we’re establishing they don’t speak, so they kind of need a mouth piece after that debut.

Damn good episode!
