Greg DeMarco and Andrew Balaz turn their attention to TNA Bound for Glory, breaking down the full announced card through one of their favorite booking questions: who should win, and who will win?
The approach turns the preview into more than a list of predictions. Greg and Andrew look at which wrestlers actually need momentum coming out of TNA’s biggest event of the year, which names feel ready for a bigger role, and what each result could mean for the company moving forward.
The Call Your Shot Gauntlet opens the discussion, with Frankie Kazarian, Avery Styles and AJ Francis among the names who could emerge with a major opportunity. The match gives TNA plenty of flexibility, but Greg and Andrew focus on which winner would actually create the most interesting direction rather than simply filling the spot with a surprise for the sake of surprise.
They also agree that Ricky Sosa needs the win over Eddie Edwards, viewing the match as a chance to establish Sosa rather than simply give him a competitive showing against a veteran. For a younger wrestler trying to move up the card, the result matters more than just “having a good match.”
Things get less certain across the championship matches. Greg and Andrew debate whether Six should defeat the Hardys in their Falls Count Anywhere match, while also acknowledging that the Hardys remain such a unique attraction that the booking math can get complicated quickly.
The International Championship four-way creates another split, with Mustafa Ali, Jason Hotch, John Skyler and Special Agent Zero all bringing different booking possibilities. John Skyler gets attention as a strong babyface direction, while Special Agent Zero represents the kind of presentation TNA could easily lean into if the company wants a more physically imposing champion.
The crowded X Division Championship match produces one of the longer debates of the preview. Casey Navarro, Ryan Nemeth and Fabian Aichner all come up as viable options, with the conversation eventually becoming less about who is “best” and more about what TNA actually wants the division to represent going forward.
There is much stronger agreement in the Knockouts division, where both hosts favor Indi Hartwell over Xia Brookside. Greg and Andrew see Hartwell as the clearer upside play and the better fit for a meaningful championship run.
The biggest question, however, comes in the main event. Leon Slater uses Option C to challenge Nic Nemeth for the TNA World Championship, leaving Greg and Andrew to decide whether Bound for Glory is finally the moment TNA commits to Slater as its next top star. Greg makes the case for pulling the trigger now, while the broader discussion centers on whether TNA is truly ready to hand the company to its younger generation.
Away from TNA, this week’s NXT spotlight focuses on Wren Sinclair. Her recent AAA battle royal appearance and continued work with NQCC have Greg and Andrew wondering whether WWE is finally preparing the larger push that has seemed possible for some time. The conversation also touches on how NXT positions talent before a bigger breakout and how subtle presentation changes can signal future plans.
The episode closes with Match of the Week, as Greg and Andrew revisit PAC vs. Kzy for the Open the Dream Gate Championship from Dragon Gate in 2019. They praise PAC’s heel control, the deliberate pacing, faction presence without unnecessary interference, and a match structure that blends modern athleticism with traditional wrestling psychology without becoming a nonstop spot fest.
Next week takes a dramatic turn with Megumi Kudo vs. Combat Toyoda, as Axe Bomber heads into Japanese deathmatch territory.
