Baltimore wins in overtime without Lamar Jackson, Houston trades for Marvin Harrison Jr. and Jacksonville shocks Philadelphia in London.

Sunday delivered one of the wildest finishes of the NFL season, a blockbuster trade and two more undefeated teams surviving major challenges.

Baltimore rallied behind Tyler Huntley to defeat Atlanta in overtime, Jacksonville stunned Philadelphia with a last-second field goal in London and San Francisco escaped Seattle to remain unbeaten. Houston finally earned its first victory before confirming a trade for Marvin Harrison Jr., reuniting the former Ohio State receiver with C.J. Stroud.

Minnesota also improved to 5-0, New England overwhelmed Las Vegas and Green Bay dominated Chicago while potentially losing an important defensive starter for the season. The Giants and Commanders played to a frustrating tie, and three teams remain winless after five weeks.

It’s the Chairshot NFL News Report for October 12, 2026!

Ravens Rally Behind Tyler Huntley to Beat Falcons in Overtime

Baltimore Ravens 30, Atlanta Falcons 23 (OT)

Baltimore entered Sunday night without Lamar Jackson and left Atlanta with one of its most impressive victories of the season.

Tyler Huntley delivered a game-tying touchdown drive in the final minute of regulation before scoring the winning touchdown himself in overtime, lifting the Ravens to a 30-23 victory over the Falcons.

Huntley completed 24 of 32 passes for 201 yards and two touchdowns while adding 20 rushing yards and the decisive one-yard touchdown. Derrick Henry rushed for 102 yards, helping Baltimore overcome an Atlanta defense that had entered the game among the league’s best against the run.

The Ravens trailed 23-15 with less than a minute remaining before Huntley led a six-play, 71-yard drive. His seven-yard touchdown pass to Devontez Walker brought Baltimore within two points, and Henry took a direct snap for the successful two-point conversion.

Atlanta could not answer before regulation ended, sending the game into overtime.

Baltimore received the opening possession and moved downfield before Huntley scored on a quarterback sneak. The Falcons then turned to Tua Tagovailoa, who had replaced Michael Penix Jr. after the starter suffered a rib injury late in regulation.

Tagovailoa completed his first two passes for 34 yards, but his third attempt was intercepted by Kyle Hamilton, ending the game and completing Baltimore’s comeback.

Penix finished with 240 passing yards and a touchdown before leaving. Drake London caught seven passes for 118 yards, while Bijan Robinson rushed for 86 yards as Atlanta struggled to replicate the ground-game dominance it displayed against New Orleans.

The Ravens improve to 4-1, while Atlanta falls to 2-3.

The victory provides Baltimore with something more valuable than simply another win. The Ravens demonstrated they can survive without Jackson against a dangerous opponent, and Huntley showed he can lead the offense when the situation requires more than protecting an existing lead.

Atlanta faces a different concern. The Falcons have now lost three games, and Penix’s rib injury creates another quarterback question just as the offense appeared to be finding its identity.

Texans Acquire Marvin Harrison Jr. From Cardinals in Blockbuster Trade

  • Houston Texans receive: Marvin Harrison Jr., 2027 seventh-round pick
  • Arizona Cardinals receive: 2027 second-round pick, 2027 sixth-round pick

Houston finally got its first victory Sunday, then made an even bigger announcement after the game.

The Texans acquired Marvin Harrison Jr. from Arizona in a trade that sends the former fourth overall selection to Houston, where he will reunite with quarterback C.J. Stroud.

Head coach DeMeco Ryans confirmed the transaction following Houston’s 26-3 victory over Tennessee, ending several days of speculation surrounding Harrison’s future.

The trade sends Houston’s 2027 second-round and sixth-round selections to Arizona in exchange for Harrison and a 2027 seventh-round pick.

Harrison entered the NFL with enormous expectations after a decorated college career at Ohio State. He caught 62 passes for 885 yards and eight touchdowns as a rookie in 2024 before his production declined to 41 receptions for 608 yards and four touchdowns last season.

His role became even smaller in 2026. Through four games, Harrison had managed just five receptions for 85 yards and one touchdown, leading Arizona to explore a trade despite his status as one of the franchise’s highest draft selections in recent history.

The move gives Houston a potentially dynamic receiving option opposite Nico Collins while restoring a connection that produced outstanding results at Ohio State.

Stroud and Harrison played together for two seasons with the Buckeyes, and their familiarity could help accelerate the receiver’s transition into Houston’s offense.

The Texans have struggled to consistently generate offense despite Stroud’s production, and Harrison provides another talented target who could benefit from a change of scenery.

For Arizona, the decision represents a remarkable reversal. Harrison was expected to become a foundational piece of the offense when the Cardinals selected him fourth overall in 2024, but the organization is now moving forward with Michael Wilson and Trey McBride as its primary receiving options.

Houston improves to 1-4 after Sunday’s victory, while Arizona falls to 1-4 following its loss to Detroit.

The Texans remain well behind Jacksonville in the AFC South, but acquiring Harrison demonstrates that Houston is not treating its disappointing start as a reason to abandon the season.

Jaguars Stun Eagles With Last-Second Field Goal in London

Jacksonville Jaguars 19, Philadelphia Eagles 17

Jacksonville delivered one of Sunday’s most dramatic finishes, defeating Philadelphia 19-17 on Cam Little’s 57-yard field goal as time expired at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The Eagles appeared to have escaped with a victory when Jake Elliott connected on a 48-yard field goal with eight seconds remaining, giving Philadelphia a 17-16 lead.

Jacksonville had other plans.

Ameer Abdullah returned the ensuing kickoff 53 yards to the Philadelphia 39-yard line, leaving one second on the clock. Little then connected from 57 yards to give the Jaguars their third consecutive victory.

Trevor Lawrence completed 24 of 39 passes for 331 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. Parker Washington was his primary weapon, catching six passes for 124 yards and both Jacksonville touchdowns.

The Jaguars overcame 13 penalties for 100 yards and several significant mistakes, including a missed extra point following Washington’s fourth-quarter touchdown that briefly appeared likely to cost them the game.

Philadelphia’s offensive problems continued despite a late opportunity to win.

Jalen Hurts completed 21 of 40 passes for 220 yards and a touchdown. The Eagles managed only 232 total yards, including just 22 rushing yards, while Jacksonville generated 408 yards.

Philadelphia played without Saquon Barkley, DeVonta Smith and Marquise Brown, forcing Hurts to work with a severely depleted collection of offensive weapons.

Darius Cooper provided the Eagles’ biggest offensive play with a 62-yard touchdown reception, while Will Shipley scored on a short rushing touchdown before leaving with a foot injury.

The Eagles also suffered additional injuries during the game, including edge rusher Jalyx Hunt and defensive back Michael Carter II.

Jacksonville improves to 4-1 and strengthens its position atop the AFC South. Philadelphia falls to 2-3 after losing three consecutive games following its 2-0 start.

The Jaguars have now demonstrated they can win close games even when their execution is far from perfect. Philadelphia, meanwhile, has a much larger problem than one unfortunate kickoff return.

The Eagles’ offense has become increasingly ineffective, and the combination of injuries, offensive-line changes and inconsistent quarterback play is beginning to threaten their season.

49ers Escape Seattle to Remain Undefeated

San Francisco 49ers 32, Seattle Seahawks 29

San Francisco survived one of its toughest tests of the season Sunday, rallying in the fourth quarter to defeat Seattle 32-29 and improve to 5-0.

Brock Purdy threw for 189 yards and two touchdowns, while Christian McCaffrey rushed for 68 yards and a score. Mike Evans led the receiving corps with seven catches for 113 yards and a touchdown.

The game featured seven combined turnovers and several major momentum swings, with Seattle taking a 26-21 lead into the fourth quarter.

San Francisco reclaimed the advantage when Purdy connected with Brandin Cooks for a seven-yard touchdown. The 49ers then converted a two-point attempt to move ahead 29-26.

Seattle answered with a field goal to tie the game, but San Francisco responded with another drive that positioned Eddy Piñeiro for a 44-yard field goal with two minutes remaining.

Piñeiro converted, giving the 49ers a 32-29 lead they would not surrender.

Seattle had one final opportunity, but Sam Darnold could not move the Seahawks far enough to attempt a tying field goal.

Darnold finished with 195 passing yards, a touchdown and two interceptions. Jaxon Smith-Njigba caught five passes for 102 yards and a score.

The victory gives San Francisco a two-game advantage over Seattle in the NFC West standings, with the Seahawks falling to 3-2.

The 49ers also received a significant defensive contribution despite playing without Nick Bosa. San Francisco forced four turnovers, including a fumble recovery in the end zone that produced a touchdown late in the first half.

There was also controversy when linebacker Dre Greenlaw was ejected during the first half following an altercation with Seattle linebacker Ernest Jones on the sideline.

San Francisco remains one of the NFL’s three undefeated teams, joining Minnesota and Kansas City.

The 49ers have now demonstrated they can win with efficient offense, strong defense and timely fourth-quarter execution. Seattle remains a dangerous contender, but Sunday’s loss creates meaningful separation in a division where every head-to-head result could matter later in the season.

Giants and Commanders Tie After Washington’s Overtime Mistake

New York Giants 27, Washington Commanders 27 (OT)

Washington appeared to have a chance to steal a victory in overtime Sunday, but a critical clock-management mistake left the Commanders settling for a 27-27 tie against the Giants.

Jayden Daniels returned after missing two games with a dislocated elbow and delivered an impressive performance, rushing for 103 yards and two touchdowns while completing 17 of 25 passes for 199 yards.

The Commanders led 27-13 early in the fourth quarter before New York mounted a comeback behind Jameis Winston.

Winston threw two fourth-quarter touchdown passes, including a 17-yard strike to Malik Nabers with less than two minutes remaining, tying the game at 27.

Winston finished with 326 passing yards and three touchdowns. Nabers caught 11 passes for 121 yards and a score, while Isaiah Likely added 11 receptions for 94 yards and two touchdowns.

The Giants appeared positioned to win in overtime before Cam Skattebo lost a fumble, giving Washington possession with an opportunity to move into field-goal range.

Daniels drove the Commanders into New York territory, but Washington attempted another offensive play rather than immediately positioning itself for a field-goal attempt.

With no timeouts remaining, the Commanders failed to stop the clock before overtime expired.

Head coach Dan Quinn accepted responsibility for the mistake afterward, acknowledging that Washington should have handled the final sequence differently.

The tie moves New York to 3-1-1 and Washington to 1-3-1.

Daniels’ return was encouraging, particularly because he demonstrated his mobility remained effective despite the elbow injury. However, Washington allowed a two-touchdown fourth-quarter lead to disappear and then wasted an opportunity to win in overtime.

The Giants will also have mixed feelings about the result. New York demonstrated considerable resilience during its comeback, but the late fumble prevented the team from completing a victory that could have strengthened its position in the NFC East.

Vikings Improve to 5-0 as Jefferson Returns

Minnesota Vikings 23, New Orleans Saints 13

Minnesota remained undefeated Sunday, defeating New Orleans 23-13 behind a balanced offensive performance and another strong defensive effort.

Kyler Murray completed 24 of 30 passes for 229 yards and a touchdown, while Aaron Jones rushed for 113 yards and a score.

Justin Jefferson returned after missing last week’s victory over Miami and immediately contributed, catching six passes for 79 yards and a touchdown.

The Vikings controlled possession for nearly 40 minutes and limited New Orleans to just 142 total yards.

Saints quarterback Tyler Shough struggled throughout the afternoon, completing 16 of 25 passes for 96 yards and two interceptions. New Orleans generated little offensive rhythm and failed to score in the fourth quarter.

Minnesota did receive concerning injury news when tight end T.J. Hockenson suffered a concussion during the opening possession.

Hockenson caught a seven-yard pass before being injured on the tackle and was quickly ruled out for the remainder of the game.

The injury removes another important offensive weapon from a Vikings team that has already spent much of the season managing receiving injuries.

Minnesota improves to 5-0, while New Orleans falls to 1-4.

The Vikings now enter their Week 6 bye undefeated, giving Jefferson additional time to regain full strength and Hockenson an opportunity to progress through concussion protocol.

Minnesota has not always produced overwhelming offensive numbers, but its defense continues giving the team opportunities to win. With Jefferson returning and Murray operating efficiently, the Vikings are beginning to show signs of a more balanced offense.

Patriots Destroy Raiders Behind Five Drake Maye Touchdowns

New England Patriots 45, Las Vegas Raiders 17

New England followed last week’s upset of Buffalo with an even more impressive offensive performance Sunday, overwhelming Las Vegas 45-17.

Drake Maye completed 26 of 34 passes for 374 yards and four touchdowns without an interception. He also added a rushing touchdown as the Patriots generated 536 total yards.

DeMario Douglas caught two touchdown passes, while Kyle Williams added three receptions for 91 yards and a score.

Rhamondre Stevenson contributed 64 rushing yards and a touchdown, helping New England establish an offense that Las Vegas struggled to slow throughout the afternoon.

The Patriots led 21-7 at halftime before scoring two more touchdowns in the third quarter to put the game out of reach.

Las Vegas quarterback Kirk Cousins threw for 243 yards and a touchdown before Fernando Mendoza entered late in the game.

Brock Bowers was the Raiders’ most productive offensive player, catching eight passes for 110 yards and a touchdown.

Ashton Jeanty played despite entering the weekend questionable with ankle and foot injuries, but managed only 27 rushing yards on 10 carries.

New England improves to 3-2, while Las Vegas falls to 3-2 after opening the season with three consecutive victories.

The Patriots have now defeated Buffalo and Las Vegas in consecutive weeks, giving Maye two impressive performances against AFC opponents.

New England’s offense looked dramatically different from the group that struggled earlier in the season. Maye was accurate, aggressive and effective at distributing the football, suggesting the Patriots may have found the offensive consistency they have been searching for.

For Las Vegas, consecutive losses have erased the momentum of its undefeated start. The Raiders now have to determine whether their defensive problems are temporary or evidence of a larger issue.

Packers Dominate Bears but Fear Season-Ending Hargrave Injury

Green Bay Packers 31, Chicago Bears 7

Green Bay delivered one of Sunday’s most convincing victories, overwhelming Chicago 31-7 at Lambeau Field.

Jordan Love completed 25 of 31 passes for 367 yards and two touchdowns without an interception, while Christian Watson caught six passes for 143 yards and both scores.

Matthew Golden added six receptions for 123 yards as Green Bay repeatedly attacked Chicago’s secondary with explosive passing plays.

The Packers also benefited from five Chicago turnovers, preventing the Bears from establishing any sustained offensive momentum.

Tyson Bagent struggled before Case Keenum entered the game, and Chicago finished with just 246 total yards.

The victory moves Green Bay to 3-2, matching Chicago’s record and tightening the NFC North race.

However, the Packers may have suffered a significant defensive loss late in the game.

Veteran defensive tackle Javon Hargrave was carted off after suffering a non-contact injury while pursuing Keenum during the fourth quarter.

Head coach Matt LaFleur indicated afterward that the team fears Hargrave suffered a torn Achilles tendon, an injury that would likely end his season.

The diagnosis has not yet been formally confirmed, but the initial concern is significant.

Hargrave joined Green Bay during the offseason and was expected to provide experienced interior defensive-line production. Losing him would create another major challenge for a defense already dealing with several important injuries.

Green Bay’s offense looked outstanding Sunday, but the potential loss of Hargrave could become the more consequential development as the Packers move deeper into the season.

Houston Finally Wins as Titans Fall to 0-5

Houston Texans 26, Tennessee Titans 3

Houston ended its winless start Sunday with a dominant 26-3 victory over Tennessee, providing DeMeco Ryans with an encouraging result in his first game after reclaiming defensive play-calling responsibilities.

C.J. Stroud completed 26 of 34 passes for 261 yards and a touchdown without an interception. He also scored on a short rushing touchdown as the Texans controlled the game.

Houston’s defense limited Tennessee to 187 total yards and forced two turnovers.

Will Anderson Jr. recorded three sacks, helping the Texans consistently pressure Cam Ward and prevent the Titans from establishing offensive rhythm.

Ward completed 23 of 36 passes for 170 yards and an interception as Tennessee struggled to generate explosive plays.

The Texans led 12-3 at halftime before pulling away with two second-half touchdowns.

Houston improves to 1-4, while Tennessee falls to 0-5.

The victory provides immediate validation for Ryans’ decision to take over defensive play-calling, although Tennessee’s struggling offense makes it difficult to determine how much improvement Houston has actually achieved.

The Texans now face a much more demanding test against Jacksonville in London next Sunday.

That matchup becomes particularly interesting following Houston’s acquisition of Harrison. The Texans are attempting to recover from a disastrous opening month while adding another significant offensive weapon before facing the AFC South leaders.

Broncos Rally as Chargers Remain Winless

Denver Broncos 23, Los Angeles Chargers 17

Denver scored 13 unanswered fourth-quarter points Sunday to defeat the Chargers 23-17 and hand Los Angeles its fifth consecutive loss.

Sean Payton resumed offensive play-calling responsibilities for the Broncos, although Denver’s offense remained inconsistent for much of the afternoon.

Bo Nix completed 16 of 27 passes for 123 yards and a touchdown, while J.K. Dobbins rushed for 68 yards and a score.

The Chargers led 17-10 entering the fourth quarter after receiving touchdowns from Justin Herbert and Kimani Vidal.

Denver tied the game when Nix connected with Courtland Sutton for a five-yard touchdown before Will Lutz added two field goals to complete the comeback.

Herbert finished with 121 passing yards, a touchdown and an interception while operating behind an offensive line missing several established starters.

The Chargers committed three turnovers, repeatedly undermining opportunities to extend their lead.

Denver improves to 3-2, while Los Angeles falls to 0-5.

The Broncos have now won their first game since Payton reclaimed play-calling duties, although the offensive production suggests there is still considerable work ahead.

For the Chargers, the situation is becoming increasingly difficult. Los Angeles has lost five consecutive games, is dealing with major offensive-line injuries and has repeatedly failed to finish competitive matchups.

The Chargers are no longer simply experiencing a disappointing start. At 0-5, their season is approaching the point where even a significant improvement may not be enough to recover.

Lions Overwhelm Cardinals as Arizona Begins New Era

Detroit Lions 45, Arizona Cardinals 21

Detroit bounced back from last week’s loss to Carolina with a dominant 45-21 victory over Arizona.

Jared Goff completed 19 of 30 passes for 271 yards and three touchdowns, while Jahmyr Gibbs rushed for 151 yards and two scores.

Gibbs also contributed 56 receiving yards, giving Detroit another outstanding all-around performance from one of its most important offensive weapons.

Jameson Williams caught two touchdown passes, while Sam LaPorta added five receptions for 88 yards and a score.

The Lions scored 24 unanswered points in the second quarter after falling behind early, then continued pulling away during the second half.

Arizona quarterback Jacoby Brissett threw for 292 yards and three touchdowns, but the Cardinals struggled to establish any running game.

Jeremiyah Love managed only 22 rushing yards on 12 carries, leaving Arizona heavily dependent on Brissett’s passing.

Detroit improves to 3-2, while Arizona falls to 1-4.

The result came on the same day Arizona finalized the Harrison trade, creating an unusually difficult afternoon for a franchise already struggling to establish offensive consistency.

The Cardinals have now lost four consecutive games and are attempting to rebuild their offensive approach while dealing with major injuries along the offensive line.

Detroit, meanwhile, demonstrated that its offense remains capable of overwhelming opponents when Goff and Gibbs are operating efficiently.

Steelers Beat Colts Behind Explosive Jaylen Warren Performance

Pittsburgh Steelers 34, Indianapolis Colts 22

Pittsburgh improved to 3-2 Sunday with a 34-22 victory over Indianapolis behind an outstanding performance from Jaylen Warren.

Warren rushed for 101 yards and a touchdown while adding six receptions for 87 yards and another score.

His biggest plays included an 80-yard touchdown reception and a 50-yard touchdown run, giving Pittsburgh explosive production from a backfield that has been dealing with injuries.

Aaron Rodgers completed 22 of 31 passes for 235 yards and three touchdowns without an interception.

Pat Freiermuth caught two touchdown passes as Pittsburgh generated enough offense to overcome the absence of Michael Pittman Jr.

Indianapolis quarterback Daniel Jones threw for 267 yards, but the Colts struggled to finish drives and repeatedly settled for field goals.

The Steelers improve to 3-2, while Indianapolis falls to 2-3.

Pittsburgh’s offense has been inconsistent throughout the opening month, but Sunday’s performance demonstrated the value of generating explosive plays rather than relying entirely on sustained drives.

Warren gave the Steelers a dimension they have frequently lacked, while Rodgers delivered an efficient performance that kept Indianapolis from building meaningful momentum.

Bengals Recover Against Winless Dolphins

Cincinnati Bengals 31, Miami Dolphins 24

Cincinnati ended its two-game losing streak Sunday, defeating Miami 31-24 behind four touchdown passes from Joe Burrow.

Burrow completed 23 of 32 passes for 190 yards without an interception, spreading the scoring production throughout the offense.

Ja’Marr Chase returned from concussion protocol and caught six passes for 77 yards and a touchdown, including a 45-yard scoring reception.

Tee Higgins also returned after dealing with groin and neck injuries, catching two passes for 22 yards.

Cincinnati built a 28-10 lead before Miami attempted a fourth-quarter comeback.

Dolphins quarterback Malik Willis threw for 137 yards and a touchdown while adding 74 rushing yards and another score.

However, Miami committed three turnovers and struggled to generate enough passing offense to keep pace with Cincinnati.

The Bengals improve to 3-2, while Miami falls to 0-5.

Getting Chase and Higgins back gives Cincinnati an opportunity to rebuild offensive momentum after consecutive losses. Miami, meanwhile, remains one of the league’s three winless teams and continues searching for answers on both sides of the football.

Jets Edge Browns as Cleveland Loses KC Concepcion

New York Jets 17, Cleveland Browns 12

The Jets earned their second victory of the season Sunday, defeating Cleveland 17-12 behind a strong rushing performance from Braelon Allen.

Allen rushed for 116 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries, providing New York with consistent offensive production in a game where both passing attacks struggled.

Geno Smith completed 17 of 30 passes for 182 yards and a touchdown, while Garrett Wilson caught seven passes for 104 yards and a score.

Cleveland quarterback Deshaun Watson threw for 155 yards and a touchdown, but the Browns managed only 198 total yards.

The game also featured a concerning injury when Cleveland rookie receiver KC Concepcion suffered a head injury following a helmet-to-helmet collision with Jets safety Minkah Fitzpatrick.

Concepcion remained on the field for several minutes before being helped off and was ruled out for the remainder of the game.

Fitzpatrick was penalized for the hit, although Browns head coach Todd Monken described the play afterward as an unfortunate collision rather than an intentionally dirty hit.

New York improves to 2-3, while Cleveland falls to 3-2.

The Jets have now won two games after struggling early, while Cleveland must evaluate Concepcion’s condition before preparing for a divisional matchup with Baltimore.

Monday Night Football — October 12

  • Buffalo Bills at Los Angeles Rams — 8:15 PM ET — ESPN/ABC

Monday Night Football: Bills Visit Rams With Injuries on Both Sides

Buffalo Bills (3-1) at Los Angeles Rams (2-2)

Monday’s matchup at SoFi Stadium features two teams attempting to build momentum before the NFL enters the middle portion of its schedule.

Buffalo is coming off its first loss of the season, a 29-26 defeat against New England, while Los Angeles recovered from consecutive losses by rallying past Philadelphia in Week 4.

Josh Allen remains the centerpiece of Buffalo’s offense, but the Bills will enter Monday with several significant injury concerns.

Defensive tackle Ed Oliver has been ruled out because of a knee injury, removing an important interior presence against a Rams offense capable of generating production through both the passing and running games.

Receiver Joshua Palmer has also been ruled out with a shoulder injury, while DJ Moore remains questionable because of his own shoulder problem.

Buffalo’s receiving situation could force Allen to rely more heavily on Khalil Shakir and the team’s remaining healthy options.

The Bills are also preparing rookie Skyler Bell for his NFL debut, potentially giving the offense another receiving option.

Los Angeles enters with more encouraging injury news.

Aaron Donald has been cleared to return after missing last week’s victory over Philadelphia because of back soreness.

Tight end Colby Parkinson and cornerback Jaylen Watson have also been cleared, providing additional reinforcements for a Rams team attempting to improve to 3-2.

Safety Quentin Lake remains questionable with a hip injury, although head coach Sean McVay indicated that his recovery is progressing.

The matchup features Allen against Matthew Stafford, with both quarterbacks capable of producing explosive plays and taking advantage of defensive mistakes.

Buffalo’s ability to protect Allen and generate offense without Palmer will be important, particularly with Donald returning to the Los Angeles defensive front.

The Rams will also need to establish offensive balance against a Buffalo defense missing Oliver.

Los Angeles has demonstrated it can win close games when Stafford receives enough protection, while Buffalo has shown it can produce points even when its offense is not operating at peak efficiency.

Monday’s result will determine whether Buffalo remains firmly positioned among the AFC’s leading contenders or whether Los Angeles can build on last week’s comeback and move above .500.

Sunday’s results have already created meaningful separation across several divisions.

San Francisco and Minnesota remain undefeated at 5-0, joining Kansas City, which was idle in Week 5, as the league’s remaining unbeaten teams. Jacksonville has moved to 4-1 and established a commanding early position in the AFC South, while Baltimore’s overtime victory demonstrates the Ravens can remain competitive without Jackson.

Philadelphia has now lost three consecutive games, and its offensive problems are becoming more difficult to dismiss as temporary. Arizona is moving forward without Harrison, while Houston has made a significant investment in a receiver it believes can help transform its offense.

The situation is considerably more urgent for Miami, Tennessee and the Chargers, all of whom are 0-5. Those teams are approaching the point where the remainder of the season becomes less about recovering from a slow start and more about determining what changes will be necessary moving forward.

For Baltimore, the immediate question is Jackson’s recovery. For Atlanta, it is the condition of Penix’s injured ribs. Green Bay must determine the severity of Hargrave’s injury, while Minnesota has the advantage of entering its bye week undefeated.

Monday night now provides Buffalo and Los Angeles with an opportunity to respond to a week in which several expected contenders stumbled. The Bills are attempting to avoid consecutive losses, while the Rams have a chance to establish themselves as a more serious factor in the NFC.
