Penta and Tiffany Stratton win Money in the Bank, Liv Morgan regains the Women’s World Title, and TNA prepares for Bound For Glory.

Penta is Mr. Money in the Bank, Tiffany Stratton has another briefcase, and Liv Morgan is once again Women’s World Champion following a consequential Saturday night in New Orleans.

WWE Money in the Bank delivered a championship change, two new contract holders and a violent Ladder Match that ended with Penta overcoming Bron Breakker to secure the biggest opportunity of his WWE career. Roman Reigns successfully defended the World Heavyweight Championship against LA Knight, while Oba Femi survived everything The Vision could throw at him before issuing a challenge to Reigns after the show.

AEW also completed Grand Slam France with another championship challenger emerging for WrestleDream, while Will Ospreay made a surprise appearance in New Japan ahead of Monday’s King of Pro-Wrestling. Sunday now belongs to TNA, which presents Bound For Glory with Leon Slater challenging Nic Nemeth for the World Championship and several potential surprises waiting in Tampa.

It’s the Chairshot Wrestling News Report for October 11, 2026!

Penta Wins Money in the Bank After Wild Ladder Match

Penta won the 2026 Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match, defeating Bron Breakker, Je’Von Evans, Trick Williams, CM Punk and Kevin Owens in a chaotic main event at the Smoothie King Center.

The victory gives Penta a guaranteed opportunity to challenge for a world championship at a time of his choosing during the next year. It also represents a major step forward for a wrestler who has spent much of his WWE career demonstrating that he can compete with established main-event talent without consistently receiving the same opportunities.

Saturday’s match became increasingly violent as the six competitors fought around the ring, ringside barricades and entrance area. Breakker was particularly destructive, repeatedly using his speed and power to prevent opponents from reaching the briefcase.

One of the night’s most memorable sequences involved Evans, who appeared to suffer a serious injury after Breakker speared him near the barricade. Medical personnel placed Evans on a stretcher and loaded him into an ambulance, seemingly removing him from the match.

Evans later returned by driving the ambulance back into the arena, immediately rejoining the fight against Breakker. He eventually attempted to climb a massive ladder, but Breakker tipped it over and sent Evans crashing through the roof of the ambulance.

The sequence provided the match with its biggest spectacle, but Breakker still could not finish the job. After dominating several opponents and appearing positioned to retrieve the briefcase, he found himself facing Penta one final time.

Penta delivered a Mexican Destroyer from the ladder onto another ladder positioned across the ring. The move left Breakker unable to continue, allowing Penta to climb and retrieve the briefcase.

The result is particularly interesting because Penta recently challenged Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship in Mexico City. He came up short in that match, but Money in the Bank now gives him a path toward another opportunity without having to earn a traditional championship match.

Penta also becomes a factor in Sami Zayn’s Undisputed WWE Championship reign. While Breakker, Punk and Owens entered Saturday with established reasons to pursue particular champions, Penta can now decide which championship presents the best opportunity.

WWE has spent considerable time positioning Penta as one of its most popular performers. Winning Money in the Bank gives the company an opportunity to determine whether that popularity can translate into a sustained world championship program.

WWE Money in the Bank Results — October 10, 2026

WWE presented Money in the Bank from the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, with five matches on the card. The event featured one championship change, two Money in the Bank Ladder Matches and a major confrontation between The Bloodline and 946.

  • World Heavyweight Championship – Roman Reigns (c) def. LA Knight to retain
  • Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match – Tiffany Stratton def. Sol Ruca, Lola Vice, Jacy Jayne, Roxanne Perez & Lash Legend
  • Oba Femi def. Bronson Reed
  • Women’s World Championship Triple Threat – Liv Morgan def. Stephanie Vaquer (c) & Becky Lynch to win the championship
  • Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match – Penta def. Bron Breakker, Je’Von Evans, Trick Williams, CM Punk & Kevin Owens

The event produced two new Money in the Bank contract holders, but the Women’s World Championship was the only title to change hands. Reigns retained against Knight in the opening match, while Morgan defeated Vaquer and Lynch to begin another championship reign.

Both Ladder Matches featured significant risks and several opportunities for different competitors to win. Tiffany survived an early fall and eventually overcame Lash Legend, while Penta finished a match that had increasingly become a showcase for Breakker’s destructive offense.

Oba also continued his impressive run by defeating Reed despite interference from The Vision. His victory created another potential direction for WWE’s World Heavyweight Championship picture when he addressed Roman Reigns after the event.

Liv Morgan Regains Women’s World Championship

Liv Morgan is once again Women’s World Champion after defeating Stephanie Vaquer and Becky Lynch in Saturday’s Triple Threat Match.

Morgan scored the deciding fall on Vaquer following Oblivion, capitalizing on a confrontation between the champion and Lynch that left Becky outside the ring. The victory restores the championship Morgan lost in Chile and immediately changes the direction of Raw’s women’s division.

The match featured several moments where the competitors temporarily worked together before returning to their individual championship pursuits. Vaquer and Lynch even applied simultaneous submission holds to Morgan before arguing over who should release their hold.

The closing sequence developed when Vaquer delivered the Inferno to Morgan and appeared positioned to retain. Lynch prevented the pinfall by pulling referee Jessika Carr from the ring, keeping the match alive while reigniting her conflict with the champion.

Vaquer eventually sent Lynch from the apron onto a table at ringside, but the exchange left her vulnerable. Morgan immediately capitalized with Oblivion and pinned Vaquer to capture the championship.

The result carries an additional consequence because Vaquer personally demanded the Triple Threat after Monday’s No. 1 Contender’s Match between Becky and Liv ended without a winner. Rather than allowing Adam Pearce to choose one challenger, Vaquer insisted on facing both women.

That decision ultimately cost her the championship. She was not defeated through outside interference or an unexpected cash-in, but through the circumstances of a match she willingly requested.

Morgan now returns to the top of the division with Judgment Day still surrounding her. Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez remain important allies, although Perez’s unsuccessful Money in the Bank appearance means the faction does not have an immediate championship contract available.

Becky also has a legitimate reason to remain involved in the title picture. She was not pinned Saturday, and her actions directly contributed to the sequence that allowed Morgan to win.

Vaquer’s immediate future is less certain. WWE could return directly to Morgan against Vaquer, continue the three-way rivalry or allow another challenger to emerge as the company begins preparing for Crown Jewel.

Tiffany Stratton Becomes Two-Time Money in the Bank Winner

Tiffany Stratton won the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match for the second time in her career, defeating five opponents to secure another championship opportunity.

Stratton previously won the briefcase in 2024, eventually using it to capture the WWE Women’s Championship. Saturday’s victory places her among the select group of women who have won Money in the Bank more than once.

The match featured several dangerous sequences, including an early moonsault from Stratton off a ladder onto opponents at ringside. Tiffany appeared to land awkwardly and was checked by medical personnel before eventually returning to the match.

Sol Ruca delivered several of the contest’s most impressive moments, including a springboard onto a ladder and a spectacular dive through another ladder positioned at ringside. Roxanne Perez also came close to winning after using her speed and opportunistic offense to create openings.

Lash Legend appeared particularly dangerous during the closing stretch. Her size and power allowed her to control multiple opponents, and she eventually found herself climbing toward the briefcase opposite Stratton.

Tiffany used the briefcase itself to strike Legend and knock her from the ladder before retrieving it to win.

The victory gives Stratton another opportunity to influence WWE’s championship picture, but the timing creates an interesting situation. Liv Morgan won the Women’s World Championship later in the evening, while the WWE Women’s Championship remains another possible target.

Stratton does not have to make that decision immediately. The contract allows her to wait for the right opportunity, and her previous successful cash-in provides a clear example of how dangerous she can become when a champion is vulnerable.

Saturday also reinforces her standing within a women’s division that continues adding new talent from NXT. Ruca, Lola Vice, Legend and Perez all received substantial opportunities in the match, but Stratton ultimately demonstrated why WWE has already trusted her with a major championship run.

Roman Reigns Retains Against LA Knight as 946 Attacks The Bloodline

Roman Reigns successfully defended the World Heavyweight Championship against LA Knight in the opening match of Money in the Bank, surviving one of the most competitive championship challenges of his current reign.

Knight entered the match determined to prove that he could defeat Reigns without the interference that has surrounded several of their previous encounters. The New Orleans crowd strongly supported the challenger, particularly as Knight repeatedly countered Roman’s signature offense.

Knight delivered a Burning Hammer, a BFT and even a Spear of his own during the contest. Reigns survived those attacks, while Knight also kicked out after taking a Spear from the champion.

The match eventually moved outside the ring, where Knight avoided another Spear and sent Reigns crashing through the barricade. He followed with a powerbomb through the announce table before returning the champion to the ring.

Knight’s efforts still were not enough. Reigns survived another near fall before connecting with a series of Superman Punches and a final Spear to retain the championship.

The clean victory is significant because Knight’s central argument throughout the rivalry was that Reigns had repeatedly benefited from outside assistance. Saturday removed that issue from the equation, allowing Roman to retain without The Bloodline helping him defeat the challenger.

The family conflict arrived immediately afterward.

Royce Keys, Bronco Nima and Lucien Price appeared in the crowd following the match, drawing Roman’s attention. Solo Sikoa and The Usos confronted the members of 946, triggering a brawl that moved through the arena and eventually outside the building.

Jaida Parker ultimately arrived in an SUV and drove away with 946, bringing the confrontation to an end without resolving the rivalry.

The post-match fight provides an obvious connection to Monday’s Raw, where Solo and The Usos are scheduled to face Keys, Nima and Price in a six-man tag.

Reigns now has two important developments to consider. He remains World Heavyweight Champion after another successful defense, but Penta holds a contract that could be used against him, and the conflict involving his family continues escalating.

The result also leaves Knight at another crossroads. He delivered a competitive performance against the champion, but another world championship opportunity ended without the title changing hands.

Oba Femi Defeats Bronson Reed, Then Targets Roman Reigns

Oba Femi defeated Bronson Reed at Money in the Bank despite interference from multiple members of The Vision, continuing his rise as one of WWE’s most protected performers.

The match delivered the physical confrontation WWE had promoted throughout the build. Reed and Femi exchanged powerful strikes and attempted to establish control through their respective size and strength, with neither man willing to concede much ground.

The Vision eventually became involved when Austin Theory distracted Femi and Logan Paul attempted to enter the ring with a chair. The referee caught Paul and ordered him away, but the distraction allowed Reed to gain an illegal advantage.

Reed struck Femi with brass knuckles before delivering the Tsunami, creating what appeared to be the decisive moment. Femi nevertheless kicked out, surviving a combination that would normally finish most opponents.

Reed attempted to continue the attack, but Femi avoided another aerial maneuver and mounted a comeback. He eventually delivered Fall From Grace to secure the pinfall victory.

The result gives Femi another major victory while continuing to establish him as someone capable of overcoming opponents who normally dominate through power. Reed entered the match with substantial faction support, but even that advantage failed to produce a victory.

The more important development came after the event.

During the Money in the Bank post-show, Femi called out World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns, making clear that he believes the time has arrived for their paths to cross.

The challenge is significant because Reigns had successfully defended against Knight earlier in the evening, while Femi had just defeated another major opponent. Both men left New Orleans with victories, creating a natural opening for WWE to begin developing a championship rivalry.

No match between Reigns and Femi has been officially announced. WWE could move directly toward that confrontation or continue building Femi through additional opponents before eventually placing him opposite the champion.

Either direction would represent a major step in Femi’s development. He has already demonstrated that he can defeat established powerhouses, and a program with Reigns would test whether WWE is ready to position him as a genuine world championship threat.

AEW Collision Grand Slam France Results — October 10, 2026

AEW completed Grand Slam France Saturday with a special edition of Collision taped earlier in the week at Adidas Arena in Paris. The show featured two championship defenses, another Clockwork Carnage qualifier and a new No. 1 contender for the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship.

Eight-Person Mixed Fight in Paris – Death Riders (Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, Daniel Garcia & Marina Shafir) def. The Conglomeration (Orange Cassidy, Kyle O’Reilly, Roderick Strong & Willow Nightingale)

  • Nick Wayne def. Chris Jericho
  • Clockwork Carnage Qualifier – Mike Bailey def. Lee Moriarty
  • Swerve Strickland def. Carlie Bravo
  • AEW National Championship – Andrade El Ídolo (c) def. Michael Oku to retain
  • AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship No. 1 Contender Three-Way – Wrathlander (Kris Statlander & Harley Cameron) def. Sisters of Sin (Julia Hart & Skye Blue) and Divine Dominion (Megan Bayne & Lena Kross)
  • AEW World Tag Team Championship – The Young Bucks (c) def. The Dogs (David Finlay & Clark Connors) to retain

The results continued AEW’s preparations for WrestleDream on October 17, particularly through Bailey’s qualification for Clockwork Carnage and the post-match confrontation involving Andrade and Tommaso Ciampa.

The Young Bucks also survived their championship defense before being attacked by Kevin Knight and Kyle Fletcher, who will challenge them for the titles at WrestleDream.

Collision additionally established Wrathlander as the next challengers for the Brawling Birds’ Women’s World Tag Team Championship. Kris Statlander and Harley Cameron defeated two established teams to earn the opportunity, giving the champions a new challenge following their successful run together.

Mike Bailey Qualifies for Clockwork Carnage

Mike Bailey became the latest wrestler to qualify for Clockwork Carnage after defeating Lee Moriarty during Collision.

The match featured an extended exchange of technical wrestling and submissions, with Moriarty repeatedly attempting to control Bailey through holds and counters. Bailey eventually escaped Moriarty’s offense and connected with Ultima Weapon to secure the victory.

AEW World Champion Will Ospreay appeared afterward to congratulate Bailey, acknowledging his United Empire stablemate while also welcoming another dangerous opponent into the championship match.

Bailey joins Samoa Joe as a confirmed challenger in the eight-man Clockwork Carnage Match at WrestleDream. Ospreay enters as defending champion after retaining against Kazuchika Okada during Tuesday’s Dynamite portion of Grand Slam France.

The match’s unusual structure creates a different challenge from a traditional multi-person championship contest. Competitors enter at staggered intervals, with eliminations possible before the match transitions into a timed scoring period where pinfalls and submissions determine the winner.

Bailey’s speed and striking ability make him an interesting addition because he can create offense quickly without requiring extended control of an opponent. That could become particularly important during the scoring portion, where one successful sequence may not be enough to win.

His connection to Ospreay also adds another complication. The two share United Empire history, but Bailey is entering a match where defeating Ospreay could make him AEW World Champion.

AEW still has additional positions to fill before WrestleDream, leaving several opportunities for the championship picture to change during the coming week.

Andrade Retains, Tommaso Ciampa Demands a Championship Match

Andrade El Ídolo successfully defended the AEW National Championship against Michael Oku during Collision, but his next challenger made an immediate appearance following the match.

Oku entered with considerable support from the European audience and pushed Andrade through several competitive exchanges. The challenger used his technical ability and aerial offense to create opportunities, but Andrade eventually connected with Dia de los Muertos to retain.

The victory marked another successful defense for Andrade, who has continued maintaining the National Championship while also holding a contract for a future AEW World Championship opportunity.

After the match, Andrade addressed the audience and reiterated his intention to continue defending the championship until the right opportunity arrives to pursue the World Title.

Tommaso Ciampa then appeared and confronted the champion, making his interest in the National Championship clear.

The confrontation initially appeared respectful, with Andrade accepting the challenge through a handshake. Ciampa quickly changed the tone by attacking Andrade and driving him onto the championship belt.

The segment established another championship match for WrestleDream, where Ciampa will challenge Andrade for the National Championship.

Ciampa’s arrival creates an interesting matchup because both wrestlers have extensive experience in major championship programs, but their approaches are considerably different. Andrade relies heavily on his athleticism and ability to change the pace of a match, while Ciampa has built much of his reputation around aggression and exploiting an opponent’s weaknesses.

Andrade also has the added complication of his future World Championship opportunity. He has made clear that he intends to choose the right moment to use that contract, but Ciampa now represents an immediate threat to the championship he already holds.

Young Bucks Retain as WrestleDream Challengers Strike

The Young Bucks retained the AEW World Tag Team Championship against The Dogs, defeating David Finlay and Clark Connors in Collision’s main event.

The match featured an aggressive challenge from Finlay and Connors, who attempted to prevent Matt and Nick Jackson from establishing their usual rhythm. The champions eventually overcame the opposition and connected with the BTE Trigger to secure the victory.

Their celebration was short-lived.

Kevin Knight and Kyle Fletcher attacked the champions immediately afterward, reinforcing their intention to leave WrestleDream with the AEW World Tag Team Championship.

The confrontation confirmed that the Bucks will defend against Knight and Fletcher on October 17, adding another significant championship match to an already substantial pay-per-view lineup.

The pairing creates an interesting dynamic because Fletcher has become one of AEW’s most prominent singles performers while Knight has continued building his reputation through his athleticism and international experience.

The Young Bucks, meanwhile, remain one of the company’s most established tag teams. Their experience gives them an advantage against challengers who may possess individual talent but have not accumulated the same history working together.

Saturday’s attack also means the champions will enter WrestleDream with another reason to pursue their opponents beyond simply retaining the titles.

With AEW World Champion Will Ospreay preparing for Clockwork Carnage and several additional championships already scheduled for defense, the World Tag Team Championship match gives WrestleDream another major attraction.

Will Ospreay Makes Surprise NJPW Appearance Before King of Pro-Wrestling

Will Ospreay made an unannounced appearance at New Japan’s Road to King of Pro-Wrestling event Saturday in Uonuma, Japan, attacking members of Unbound Co. ahead of Monday’s championship match.

Ospreay appeared following an eight-man tag match involving United Empire and Unbound Co. The AEW World Champion attacked Yuto-Ice, OSKAR and Jeff Cobb before addressing the audience and making clear that he was prepared for their upcoming confrontation.

The appearance was particularly notable because Saturday’s event was not televised or streamed on NJPW World. Ospreay’s arrival therefore came as a surprise to the live audience rather than as part of a heavily promoted television segment.

Ospreay will team with HENARE and Great-O-Khan to defend the NEVER Openweight Six-Man Tag Team Championship against Cobb and the Knockout Brothers at King of Pro-Wrestling on October 12.

The match carries additional significance because OSKAR and Yuto-Ice recently defeated HENARE and Great-O-Khan to regain the IWGP Tag Team Championship. The Knockout Brothers now have an opportunity to add another championship while continuing their rivalry with United Empire.

Cobb’s involvement creates another layer of tension. He previously belonged to United Empire before departing the faction and eventually joining Unbound Co., giving him extensive familiarity with Ospreay and his partners.

Ospreay’s return also highlights the increasingly complicated relationship between his AEW commitments and his position within New Japan. He remains a member of United Empire while holding AEW’s top championship, and his schedule has created questions about how often he can participate in the faction’s activities.

Monday’s championship defense provides an opportunity to address those concerns inside the ring. Ospreay and his partners have a chance to retain their titles, but the Knockout Brothers enter with considerable momentum after their recent IWGP Tag Team Championship victory.

The event also features Yota Tsuji defending the IWGP Heavyweight Championship against G1 Climax winner Ryohei Oiwa, making King of Pro-Wrestling one of New Japan’s most important events of the fall.

TNA Bound For Glory Preview — October 11, 2026

TNA presents Bound For Glory tonight from the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida, with several championship matches and significant opportunities for both established stars and newer members of the roster.

The Hall of Fame induction ceremony begins at 4 PM ET, followed by the pay-per-view at 4:30 PM ET. ODB, Amazing Red and Konnan will be inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame as part of the event.

  • TNA World Championship – Nic Nemeth (c) vs. Leon Slater
  • TNA Knockouts World Championship – Xia Brookside (c) vs. Indi Hartwell, with Mickie James as special guest referee
  • TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Championship – Allie & Kiera Hogan (c) vs. Zoey Serrano & Shayna Baszler
  • TNA International Championship – Mustafa Ali (c) vs. Jason Hotch vs. John Skyler vs. Special Agent Zero
  • TNA X-Division Championship – BDE vs. Rich Swann vs. KC Navarro vs. Fabian Aichner vs. Cedric Alexander vs. Ryan Nemeth
  • No Disqualification Falls Count Anywhere Match – The Hardys vs. syX
  • Moose vs. Max Caster
  • Ricky Sosa vs. Eddie Edwards
  • Call Your Shot Gauntlet Match

The World Championship match remains the centerpiece of the event. Leon Slater surrendered the X-Division Championship through Option C to challenge Nic Nemeth, creating an opportunity to become the youngest TNA World Champion in company history.

Slater’s decision also demonstrates how important TNA considers his development. Rather than continuing to defend the X-Division Championship, he has chosen to pursue the company’s biggest prize against an established veteran who has repeatedly demonstrated his ability to survive difficult championship situations.

Nemeth enters the match after successfully defending the TNA World Tag Team Championship alongside Ryan Nemeth during Thursday’s Impact. The brothers defeated The Hardys following another distraction involving syX, preserving their championship reign before Bound For Glory.

The Knockouts World Championship match carries a different set of complications. Indi Hartwell has spent months attempting to earn another opportunity against Xia Brookside, while the champion has repeatedly questioned whether Hartwell deserves to be standing across from her.

Mickie James will serve as special guest referee, providing an experienced presence after weeks of controversy surrounding the division. James’ involvement is intended to ensure a fair championship match, although her history with both competitors gives the appointment additional storyline significance.

The Knockouts World Tag Team Championship match also features one of the weekend’s biggest surprises. Shayna Baszler will make her TNA debut alongside Zoey Serrano, reuniting two wrestlers who previously worked together in WWE.

Their opponents, Allie and Kiera Hogan, issued the challenge during Thursday’s Impact without knowing Serrano would recruit Baszler. The former NXT Women’s Champion brings considerable submission experience and immediately becomes a threat to the champions.

The International Championship match could also produce significant changes. Mustafa Ali faces three former associates in Jason Hotch, John Skyler and Special Agent Zero, bringing the internal problems of Order 4 directly into a championship contest.

The vacant X-Division Championship will be decided in a six-way match featuring several different wrestling styles. Fabian Aichner enters with momentum after defeating KC Navarro on Impact, but the format makes it difficult for any one competitor to control the entire contest.

The Hardys also have unfinished business with syX following Thursday’s interference in their championship match against the Nemeth Brothers. Matt and Jeff will face Samuel Shaw and Joseph Sawyer in a No Disqualification Falls Count Anywhere Match, removing many of the restrictions that have complicated their previous encounters.

Max Caster’s arrival provides another attraction after the former AEW World Tag Team Champion accepted Moose’s open challenge. Caster recently became a free agent, and Sunday marks his first major appearance since departing AEW.

TNA has not confirmed whether Caster’s appearance represents a long-term agreement or a special attraction for Bound For Glory. His match with Moose nevertheless gives the company an opportunity to introduce a recognizable personality against one of its most established performers.

The Call Your Shot Gauntlet also offers a future championship opportunity, with Joe Alonzo entering at No. 20 after earning the final position during Thursday’s Impact. Trey Miguel must begin the match at No. 1, placing him at a considerable disadvantage before the contest even starts.

Avery Styles is scheduled to make his official TNA in-ring debut during the Gauntlet. His appearance carries additional significance because of his father AJ Styles’ history with the promotion, and Thursday’s Spiral Tap provided an early indication of the athleticism Avery hopes to bring into his career.

With multiple championships at stake, a major debut and several unresolved rivalries, Bound For Glory has an opportunity to establish TNA’s direction for the final months of 2026.

Money in the Bank delivered several significant changes to WWE’s championship picture, particularly with Penta and Tiffany Stratton gaining control of future opportunities and Liv Morgan reclaiming the Women’s World Championship.

Roman Reigns remains champion after surviving LA Knight, but his immediate future has become considerably more complicated. The conflict with 946 continues, Penta now holds a championship contract, and Oba Femi has publicly expressed his intention to challenge Reigns.

AEW also moved closer to WrestleDream through Saturday’s Collision, adding Mike Bailey to Clockwork Carnage and establishing another championship program involving Andrade and Tommaso Ciampa. The Young Bucks retained their titles, but Kevin Knight and Kyle Fletcher made sure the champions would not leave France without another confrontation.

Sunday now shifts the attention to TNA, where Bound For Glory presents Leon Slater with the opportunity to become World Champion and several other wrestlers with chances to change the company’s direction. After Saturday’s developments in WWE and AEW, the weekend still has one major event remaining.
