syX defeats The Hardys, Amazing Red retains his X-Division title, STARDOM delivers a major championship match, and SmackDown prepares for Halloween.

The Hardys entered the Slaughterhouse on Thursday’s TNA Impact and found themselves in a violent confrontation that ended with syX standing victorious. Matt and Jeff Hardy were separated, attacked with weapons, and eventually overwhelmed in a match designed around Samuel Shaw and Joseph Sawyer’s twisted environment. The result continued a rivalry that has become one of TNA’s more unusual attractions heading toward Destination X.

The episode also featured two successful championship defenses, with Amazing Red defeating Cedric Alexander to retain the X-Division Championship and M by Elegance surviving Jada Stone. However, the latter victory came with a significant complication when Mr. Elegance abruptly quit the Elegance Brand, creating another internal problem for the faction.

Elsewhere, STARDOM held its Crimson Nightmare event in Tokyo, where Suzu Suzuki successfully defended the World of Stardom Championship and Natsupoi teamed with her husband, NJPW’s Shingo Takagi, in a special mixed tag team match. WWE is also preparing for a Halloween-themed SmackDown featuring two championship defenses, while AEW’s upcoming Collision will include a return for The Hurt Syndicate.

It’s the Chairshot Wrestling News Report for October 30, 2026!

syX Defeats The Hardys in Violent Slaughterhouse Match

The Hardys suffered another significant setback in their rivalry with syX on Thursday when Samuel Shaw and Joseph Sawyer defeated Matt and Jeff Hardy in a Slaughterhouse syX Match that closed TNA Impact.

Unlike a conventional wrestling match, the encounter took place in an industrial environment filled with weapons, confined spaces, and opportunities for ambushes. Shaw and Sawyer used those surroundings to their advantage, turning the confrontation into a series of attacks designed to separate the brothers and prevent them from working together.

The match began with Sawyer attacking from the side while Shaw confronted The Hardys. Jeff quickly found himself absorbing punishment from a chain and ladder, while Matt battled Sawyer with whatever weapons were available. The fighting moved throughout the Slaughterhouse as both teams used the environment rather than relying on traditional wrestling holds or sequences.

The Hardys initially managed to respond with their own offense. Jeff used a ladder to attack Shaw, while Matt swung a shovel and other objects against Sawyer. Their experience in unconventional matches allowed them to remain competitive, but syX repeatedly regained control by isolating one brother from the other.

One of the most important moments came when Shaw and Sawyer trapped Matt inside a separate room, leaving Jeff to confront both opponents without assistance. That numerical advantage allowed syX to intensify its attack and turn the match into an especially dangerous situation for the younger Hardy.

Jeff briefly fought back with an aerial attack from a doorway, demonstrating the willingness to take risks that has defined his career. However, Shaw and Sawyer ultimately overwhelmed him, placing a trash can over his head and striking it with an axe during the closing sequence.

The match ended with syX victorious by knockout, leaving the brothers without a conventional pinfall or submission defeat. The unusual finish fit the presentation of a rivalry that has emphasized psychological intimidation and violent encounters rather than traditional championship competition.

The result gives syX another major victory over one of wrestling’s most recognizable tag teams. Shaw and Sawyer previously defeated The Hardys at Bound For Glory with assistance from Erick Redbeard, and Thursday’s win reinforces their position as a dangerous force within the TNA tag team division.

For Matt and Jeff, the defeat presents a difficult question about how to respond. The Hardys have extensive experience in matches involving ladders, tables, and unusual environments, but syX has repeatedly demonstrated an ability to control the circumstances of their encounters.

The rivalry also creates uncertainty about the brothers’ immediate future heading into Destination X on November 15. TNA has not announced the next chapter of the conflict, but another defeat makes it clear that the situation remains unresolved.

With their opponents now holding multiple victories, The Hardys may need a different strategy if they intend to regain control of the rivalry. For now, syX has established itself as more than an unusual presentation, backing up its threats with victories against established competition.

TNA Impact Results — October 29, 2026

TNA Wrestling presented Thursday Night Impact from the Dothan Civic Center in Dothan, Alabama, featuring two championship defenses, a violent main event, and several important developments ahead of Destination X. Although syX’s victory over The Hardys provided the evening’s most dramatic conclusion, the broadcast also included championship matches and significant changes involving the Elegance Brand, The System, and the Knockouts division.

Results:

  • TNA Knockouts Television Championship — M by Elegance def. Jada Stone to retain the championship.
  • Zer0 def. BDE.
  • TNA X-Division Championship — Amazing Red def. Cedric Alexander to retain the championship.
  • AJ Francis def. John Skyler.
  • Elijah def. Ryan Nemeth.
  • Slaughterhouse syX Match — syX (Samuel Shaw & Joseph Sawyer) def. The Hardys by knockout.

The Knockouts Television Championship opened the evening as M by Elegance defended against Jada Stone. The challenger used her speed and aerial offense to overcome the champion’s size advantage, repeatedly creating opportunities to score a significant upset. However, interference from the Elegance Brand helped disrupt Stone’s momentum, and M eventually secured the victory to retain her championship.

The result was overshadowed by the increasingly dysfunctional relationship between M and her associates. After M demanded that Mr. Elegance provide the championship belt for use as a weapon, he refused and announced that he was quitting the group. The unexpected departure left the faction visibly fractured despite its champion retaining the title. Elayna Black later approached Heather by Elegance and questioned how long she intended to tolerate M’s behavior, suggesting that the group’s internal problems could continue.

Amazing Red successfully defended the X-Division Championship against Cedric Alexander in his first Impact match in more than fifteen years. Alexander attempted to control the champion through his size advantage and technical offense, including a punishing suplex onto the ring apron. Red survived several near falls and eventually mounted a comeback with his trademark aerial attacks, finishing Alexander with the Code Red to retain his championship.

The defeat created additional problems within The System. Bear Bronson confronted Eddie Edwards over the group’s direction and challenged him to a singles match next week, declaring that he wanted control of the faction if he emerged victorious. With Alexander unsuccessful in his championship challenge and tensions continuing to escalate, the group appears headed toward a significant internal confrontation.

Zer0 defeated BDE in a physical encounter that showcased the larger competitor’s power. After securing the pinfall with a Chokebomb, Zer0 continued attacking his opponent, drawing Rich Swann into the ring. Swann was also overwhelmed, and the situation escalated when Zer0 attacked multiple members of security. The sequence positioned Zer0 as an increasingly dangerous presence rather than simply another competitor collecting television victories.

AJ Francis defeated John Skyler following interference and confusion involving their respective associates. Skyler entered with Mila Moore, while Francis had Expressions at ringside, creating several opportunities for outside involvement. After Moore was knocked from the apron, Skyler became distracted by her condition, allowing Francis to capitalize and secure the victory with Down Payment.

Elijah also scored an important singles victory over Ryan Nemeth, finishing him with Highwayman’s Farewell. Nic Nemeth attacked Elijah afterward, but the confrontation backfired when Elijah struck Ryan with a guitar, forcing Nic to retreat with his brother. The incident continued a rivalry that has intensified since Nic interfered in Elijah’s previous championship opportunity.

The Knockouts division received another major development when Shayna Baszler announced that she would challenge TNA Knockouts World Champion Indi Hartwell at Destination X. Baszler appeared alongside Zoey Serrano during a segment highlighting Hartwell’s championship journey, making her intentions clear and adding another significant match to the November 15 event.

Elsewhere, Kiera Hogan and Tasha Steelz reunited as Fire ‘N Flava and issued a challenge to Shotzi and Allie. Ricky Sosa announced that he would represent Belgium in the upcoming World X-Cup, while Fabian Aichner revealed that he would represent Italy. Their exchange emphasized the individual national competition that will define the tournament even among performers with established relationships.

TNA World Champion Leon Slater also addressed his upcoming championship defense against Trey Miguel. Slater expressed respect for his challenger while emphasizing the sacrifices required to become champion, and Miguel discussed his long pursuit of an opportunity at the company’s top title. Their respectful confrontation established a competitive contrast to the more hostile rivalries dominating the rest of the broadcast.

The Righteous continued their recruitment of Harley Hudson, who accepted their invitation to stand alongside them next week. Meanwhile, Director of Operations Daria Rae learned that Brian Johnson had been assigned by TNA’s Board of Directors to monitor her decisions following her recent suspension, introducing another complication into the company’s authority structure.

Thursday’s Impact successfully advanced several programs without changing either championship defended during the broadcast. Amazing Red strengthened his position in the X-Division, the Elegance Brand showed further signs of collapse, and the Knockouts World Championship received a new challenger. With Destination X approaching, TNA has multiple rivalries developing alongside its increasingly competitive championship picture.

Suzu Suzuki Retains World of Stardom Championship at Crimson Nightmare

STARDOM presented Crimson Nightmare on Thursday from the Ota City General Gymnasium in Tokyo, Japan, with Suzu Suzuki successfully defending the World of Stardom Championship against Starlight Kid in the main event.

The championship encounter brought together two of STARDOM’s most prominent performers, with Starlight Kid attempting to claim the promotion’s top championship and Suzuki looking to strengthen her reign. Both competitors entered with considerable experience in high-profile matches, making the championship contest an important attraction on an already substantial card.

Suzuki ultimately retained the championship, preventing Starlight Kid from capturing the Red Belt and maintaining her position atop the promotion. Following the match, Suzuki identified Maika as a potential future challenger, adding another important name to the developing championship picture.

That challenge comes with additional long-term implications. Suzuki is already expected to defend against 5STAR Grand Prix winner Rina at STARDOM’s major December 29 event, creating the possibility of another championship program before the end of the year.

The evening also featured a notable mixed tag team match involving NJPW stars Shingo Takagi and Hirooki Goto. Takagi teamed with his wife, Natsupoi, against Goto and Yuna Mizumori, creating an unusual attraction that combined two established New Japan wrestlers with prominent members of STARDOM’s roster.

Natsupoi and Takagi secured the victory, providing a memorable result during Natsupoi’s ongoing retirement run. The match also offered an opportunity for fans to see Takagi and Goto in a setting different from their regular NJPW appearances, highlighting the cooperation between the two promotions.

Elsewhere, STARS defeated H.A.T.E. in a 16-woman elimination tag team match, continuing one of the promotion’s major faction rivalries. The event also featured appearances by Maki Itoh, Syuri, AZM and several other important performers from across the roster.

STARDOM additionally announced dates for its 2027 Cinderella Tournament, which will begin March 16 and conclude March 22. The tournament remains an important opportunity for competitors to establish momentum and move toward higher-profile championship programs.

Crimson Nightmare delivered several meaningful developments beyond its championship main event. Suzuki’s reign remains intact, STARDOM’s faction rivalries continue evolving, and the special appearances by Takagi and Goto provided another example of how the Japanese wrestling landscape increasingly benefits from cooperation between established promotions.

WWE SmackDown Preview — October 30, 2026

WWE presents a Halloween-themed edition of Friday Night SmackDown, with Danhausen hosting a special broadcast featuring two major championship defenses and several important developments ahead of Crown Jewel.

The episode has been advertised as Danhausen’s Very Nice, Very Evil SmackDown, bringing the character’s unusual presentation into one of WWE’s flagship television programs. The Halloween setting provides an opportunity for WWE to incorporate additional entertainment elements while continuing the major championship storylines scheduled for November.

Announced Matches:

  • Undisputed WWE Championship — Sami Zayn (c) vs. Trick Williams.
  • WWE Women’s Championship — Chelsea Green (c) vs. Nikki Bella.

The Undisputed WWE Championship match carries considerable importance because Zayn is scheduled to face World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel on November 7. Reigns has repeatedly questioned whether Zayn will even arrive at the event with his championship intact, and Friday’s encounter gives Trick Williams an opportunity to make that prediction a reality.

Zayn successfully defended against Je’Von Evans during Monday’s Raw, but his increasingly antagonistic behavior continues attracting challengers. The champion has criticized other WWE stars for receiving recognition he believes belongs to him, and his confrontational approach has created additional problems during an already demanding stretch of championship defenses.

Williams represents a different challenge from Evans, bringing a combination of athleticism, confidence and an increasingly prominent role in WWE’s main event picture. A championship victory would immediately transform the direction of Crown Jewel, although WWE has not announced any alternative plans for the event.

Chelsea Green will also defend the WWE Women’s Championship against Nikki Bella, with the winner expected to face Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan at Crown Jewel. Green has already survived challenges from Nia Jax and Roxanne Perez, but Bella enters with championship experience and a determination to prove that she remains capable of competing at the highest level.

The rivalry has become increasingly personal, with Bella dismissing Green’s championship credentials while the champion continues defending her position against established names. Friday’s match provides an opportunity for both competitors to settle the issue in the ring rather than through another exchange of insults.

Morgan’s situation adds another layer to the outcome. She retained the Women’s World Championship following a disqualification loss to Becky Lynch on Raw, and Tiffany Stratton remains a threat because of her Money in the Bank contract. The winner of Green and Bella will therefore enter a Crown Jewel championship situation that could still experience unexpected developments.

With Danhausen hosting and two major titles being defended, SmackDown has several attractions beyond its Halloween presentation. The results could influence WWE’s November plans considerably, particularly if either championship changes hands.

The Hurt Syndicate Returns as AEW Prepares Halloween Collision

AEW’s Halloween edition of Collision will feature the return of Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin, with The Hurt Syndicate appearing together in competition following an extended absence.

The October 31 broadcast was taped Wednesday at the Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis, Missouri, immediately after Fright Night Dynamite. The return of Lashley and Benjamin was among the most notable developments to emerge from the taping, which also featured several matches designed to continue AEW’s build toward Blood & Guts.

The former AEW World Tag Team Champions had not competed together on AEW television since the All In pre-show, making their return significant for the tag team division. Their absence had generated questions about the group’s future, especially as AEW continued introducing new partnerships and factions during the intervening months.

Lashley and Benjamin provide a different physical presence from many of the teams currently featured on AEW programming. Both have extensive singles and tag team experience, and their established partnership gives the company another credible option for future championship programs.

The Halloween broadcast will also feature Triangle of Madness defending the Artist of Stardom Championship against Hazuki, Koguma and Fuwa-chan. The match continues AEW’s relationship with STARDOM while giving Thekla, Julia Hart and Skye Blue another prominent appearance ahead of the women’s Blood & Guts match on November 4.

The Cut and The Conglomeration are also scheduled to meet in trios competition, continuing the faction conflict surrounding Jay White’s recently assembled group. Wednesday’s Dynamite saw The Cut intensify its attacks on the Death Riders, creating additional hostility ahead of AEW’s upcoming major events.

Ilja Dragunov, Tommaso Ciampa, Konosuke Takeshita and Mike Bailey are also featured on the Halloween broadcast, giving AEW a substantial lineup during a weekend that includes WWE NXT Halloween Havoc.

Although the Collision episode has already been recorded, the television presentation remains scheduled for Saturday. The announced attractions provide several reasons to follow the show without revealing the outcomes of its taped matches.

MLW Opera Cup Competition Continues Ahead of Saturday Night SuperFight

Major League Wrestling continued its 2026 Opera Cup tournament during Thursday’s episode of MLW Fusion, with LeBron Kozone defeating Diego Hill in tournament competition.

The result allows Kozone to advance in one of MLW’s most established annual competitions, which continues providing opportunities for performers to build momentum through tournament victories. The Opera Cup has historically brought together wrestlers with different backgrounds and styles, making each advancement meaningful within the broader competition.

The episode also continued preparing for Saturday Night SuperFight, with NJPW’s Yota Tsuji announced for a singles encounter against Trevor Lee. The matchup brings together two established performers from different promotional backgrounds and provides another international attraction for MLW’s upcoming event.

Tsuji’s involvement reflects MLW’s continued use of partnerships and international talent to strengthen its major event lineups. The NJPW star has developed into an important presence within his home promotion, and facing Lee gives him an opportunity to compete against another experienced opponent outside his usual environment.

MLW has also been developing several additional rivalries and roster relationships through Fusion. With Saturday Night SuperFight approaching, the promotion is using its television programming to establish both tournament implications and the major matches surrounding its upcoming event.

The Opera Cup remains an important component of that strategy. While championship matches often dominate discussion of major wrestling events, a tournament with a defined competitive structure provides another avenue for wrestlers to distinguish themselves through results rather than solely through personal rivalries.

Halloween Weekend Brings NXT, AEW and Major Championship Matches

Professional wrestling’s Halloween weekend will feature a particularly crowded schedule, with WWE, AEW, MLW and CMLL all presenting important matches or events.

Friday’s SmackDown will feature Sami Zayn defending the Undisputed WWE Championship against Trick Williams and Chelsea Green defending the WWE Women’s Championship against Nikki Bella. Both matches could influence Crown Jewel, which remains scheduled for November 7 in Riyadh despite the recently announced venue change.

Saturday’s NXT Halloween Havoc will feature Grayson Waller defending the NXT Championship against Tony D’Angelo, while Kelani Jordan puts the NXT Women’s Championship on the line against Wren Sinclair. The card also includes a Weapons Wild Match between Myles Borne and Tavion Heights, continuing one of NXT’s more physical rivalries.

AEW’s Halloween Collision will feature an Artist of Stardom Championship defense, the return of The Hurt Syndicate and several important appearances ahead of Blood & Guts on November 4. Full Gear follows on November 14, leaving AEW limited time to finalize multiple championship and faction-based rivalries.

Internationally, CMLL’s Día de Muertos celebration will feature Darby Allin against Hechicero at Arena México, providing another high-profile encounter involving established stars from different promotions. MLW’s Saturday Night SuperFight will also showcase international competition, including Yota Tsuji’s match against Trevor Lee.

Thursday’s TNA Impact reinforced the importance of Destination X, scheduled for November 15 in Edmonton, Alberta. The Hardys remain involved in a dangerous rivalry with syX, Amazing Red continues his X-Division Championship reign, and Indi Hartwell now has Shayna Baszler awaiting her in a major Knockouts World Championship encounter.

With several major events taking place over the next two weeks, wrestling’s final weekend of October provides more than a traditional holiday-themed programming lineup. The results and announcements from the coming days will help determine the direction of championship programs across multiple promotions heading into November.
